With several multi-platinum albums and singles to his name, Nashville’s Luke Bryan is one of the biggest names in country music. He’s won dozens of major music awards, including multiple nominations and wins from the Academy of Country Music, American Music Awards, and CMY Music Awards.

He’s taken home trophies for Entertainer of the Year, Artist of the Year, Top Country Artist, and more. Bryan has also appeared as an adviser and judge in major music competitions such as The Voice and American Idol.

It’s been a pretty amazing journey for Bryan. The Leesburg, Georgia native started life as the son of peanut farmers. Terrible challenges befell him when he lost his older brother Chris in tragic circumstances. Still, he fought through, determined to follow his dreams.

Initially ready to go to Nashville at age 19, Bryan stayed near his home to provide emotional support to his family as he attended Georgia Southern State University. Earning a BA in Business Administration, he also met his future wife, Caroline. They dated for a year, parted ways, then reunited.

Not long after college, with his father’s support, Bryan finally moved to Nashville to follow his musical career aspirations. Knocking on doors, writing songs, and performing live, he made connections and headway until his work began to be recognized.

Bryan’s first taste of the music industry was as a songwriter for a publishing house in Nashville where he wrote some successful country hits like the title track of Travis Tritt’s My Honky Tonk History album. During this time he was signed as a performer to Capitol Records, but he still found time to keep writing.

After co-writing Billy Currington’s single “Good Directions,” which made number one on the Hot Country Songs charts, it was time for Bryan to release his own record. His debut album I’ll Stay Me was released in August 2007 under the Capitol Nashville label, with Bryan involved in writing all 11 songs.

After a steady rise in popularity, Bryan’s fourth single “Do I,” released in May 2009, got all the way to number 2 in the Country charts. His next two singles, “Rain Is a Good Thing” and “Someone Else Calling You Baby” appeared on his critically acclaimed second album Doin’ My Thing, which finally cracked the number one spot on the Country charts. Sadly, 2007 would see his only other sibling, Kelly, pass away suddenly. Hard as this was, this event would impact him again as he grew in fame.

In 2011, a whole bunch of singles and the EP Spring Break 3…It’s a Shore Thing kept his fan base growing. Tracks like “Country Girl (Shake It for Me)” electrified audiences, serving to introduce what would be his third studio album, Tailgates & Tanlines. This album came out that summer, peaking at the top of the Country Albums chart and reaching #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Bryans’ next three albums all made number one in the Billboard 200 and Country Music Charts. The 2013 release Crash My Party included hits like the title track and “Drink a Beer.” Then, in 2014, a huge collaboration with Florida Georgia Line produced the single “This Is How We Roll.”

In the midst of it all, Bryan’s late sister’s husband, Ben Lee Cheshire, passed away. Bryan and his wife Caroline took over the duties of raising his surviving nephew and nieces.

Never slowing down, Bryan got busy on his next full-length album, 2015’s Kill the Lights. In the first week of its release, it sold a staggering 345,000 copies, beating out superstar rap artist Dr. Dre’s record Compton to hit #1 on the Billboard charts. Bryan also broke a new record, becoming the first artist even on the Billboard Country Airplay chart to have six singles reach the number one spot.

In 2017, the country crooner would have the honor of performing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. By the end of that year, after releasing singles like “Light It Up,” Bryan would release What Makes You Country, his sixth album.

True to form, Luke kept busy in 2019, releasing two singles, ”Knockin' Boots” and “What She Wants Tonight,” which made waves on the country charts. Anticipating a new release and planning a tour named “Proud to Be Here,” Bryan was looking forward to a robust 2020.

Covid delayed all those plans, but only for so long. Born Here Live Here Die Here hit listener’s ears in 2021, with sales once again proving as robust as his creative output. Followed up with the long-delayed tour, things got back on track.

All these albums later, Bryan’s success continues to snowball with more sales and awards every time he makes new music. In between breaking records and releasing new material, he’s done everything from philanthropic work for City of Hope to starting his own record label. He’s even opened his own Nashville restaurant. Bryan has become one of the biggest acts in country and looks set to carry on that way.

Live reviews

Despite being a relatively fresh face to the country music industry, Luke Bryan has already cemented himself as one of the biggest and best names in modern country. Bryan is clearly naturally talented, having written or co-written all 11 songs off his first album. He has a gift for song writing and is a talented musician to boot: he is, undoubtedly, the whole package. It was evident from the audience that many of the crowd were loyal fans of Bryans. The majority of the crowd were able to sing along to every song of his, word for word. It was a combination of hard core country fans (you can always spot these guys a mile off) and Bryan’s own following. Bryan and his live band put on one hell of a show for the roaring crowd. Bryan played everything from his more commercial successes to his early work. Bryan opened with two of his most successful hits ‘Rain Is a Good Thing’ and ‘Someone Else Calling You Baby’. He then lulled the crowd with his earlier work such as ‘Do I’ and ‘I’ll Stay Me’ before performing some of his new work, such as ‘I See You’ and ‘Crash My Party’.

A relative newcomer to the US Country scene, Luke Bryan has made a large impact on both the charts and the live scene. The Tennessee singer/songwriter has had a string of successful singers on the Country charts whilst his latest album 'Crash My Party' topped the US Billboard album charts.

He now has a loyal fan base of combination country fans and the new listeners who have heard his commercial album. With a huge smile across his face, Luke appears onstage and launches into the stomping 'That's My Kind of Night', the intro to his 2013 album. Supoprted by his tight live band, he commands like a composer with his guitar and mic stand at the helm. A lot of the material featured on the setlist was lifted from 'Crash My Party' yet followers from his early career were treated to renditions of 'Do I' and 'All My Friends Say'.

The biggest cheers of the night however were reserved for 'Crash My Party', 'Drunk On You' and recent single 'I See You'. An energetic performance and mass singalong to 'Country Girl' ended an interactive and uplifting live show.

Luke Bryan is one of the best out there, in my opinion. He was in Raleigh for two nights in a row, but I was graduating so I could only go to one (I would have seen both if I could!) Luke was here along with Lee Brice and Cole Swindell. That was one of the best concerts I have been to. Luke knows people are obsessed with his butt, so every few minutes during a song he would pause and allow people to take pictures of his butt. While Luke was singing "Country Girl Shake It For Me," someone held up a banner proposing to his wife. Luke saw it and had the guy throw the banner to the stage. He was laughing and said "This is how you know we're at a country concert when you propose to this song haha." (She said yes if anyone was wondering). Most of his songs were the fun ones, but he sang he few of the slower songs. I definitely recommend going to this concert.

I want to tell everyone that you need to go to a Luke bryan concert he is awesome the most honest and amazing moment for me in the concert was when he went to the piano and he set down and sang DRINK A BEER he was just like sitting there pouring out his heart to us and I love this song it makes me think about my husband 2years ago he passed away and this song reminds me of him it makes me think about the times you had together and you can remember them too and I know that Luke sings this song in memory of his BROTHER and sister that he lost and he will never know that he is touching his fans like me you see I don't drink beer or anything else but that song holds a lot of memories...I would love to meet Luke bryan someday to talk to him tell him that he does touch his fans ...but just a dream anyway if you can go see Luke go you will love it

One word AMAZING. LUKE BRYAN was a performer who brought everything he had to his show. He made Quodos Arena feel intimate amongst thousands of fans. He spoke from the heart, was genuine, engaging and left nothing at the door. From drinking out of a boot to bras being on stage he handled it all with style and grace. His voice and delivery pitch perfect and he allowed us to sing his songs just enough to feel we were more than just ticket buyers... We were friends and valued..... I can't recommend him highly enough.... Don't hesitate go see Luke perform and as for his accompanying act Dustin Lynch is the same he wants you to be involved and to enjoy his show.... He too left nothing at the door.... Worth parting with your dollars for ❤️

As always Luke rocked the NRG statium last night! He was very energetic and his voice was spot on! He is such a great performer and really looks like he enjoys his performances as much as the audience does. I love seeing that big smile on his face as he rock that pelvis. I personally wish he would go back to the tight jeans. I've never been a fan just for his butt. I think his voice, his songs, his charisma, his energy AND his butt are out of this world. He is just the right PACKAGE for any country loving fan! LOVE YOU LUKE!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed his concert. In fact he puts on the best concert I've ever been to. He gave it his all and I was not disappointed. In fact I upgraded my GA ticket to VIP and I'm soooo glad I did because I was all the way up front and he came down the stairs to where I was to give this little girl a hug for her Birthday and I got to see him up really close face to face and touched his chest. It doesn't get any better than that since I am a BIG fan. I LOVE LUKE BRYAN and I am already planning on seeing him again when I can for a meet and greet next time!!!

The concert was awesome. All artists kicked ass! The only thing that I would change is where the stage stood. It was too far back. I was in 100 level row 11 and it felt like I was in 200-300 level. Wish the stage was more in the middle of the floor BUT still a great concert. Not only did I buy the tickets for my daughter and I to attend but the concert was in her actual birthday and now I will never forget the look in her eyes or the endless thank you’s I received for taking her to your concert. Thank you for the memories....now go have a beer! Lol

Amazing! Second time seeing him and it was better than the first (we did have pit tickets so that made it a whole new experience) Sam hunt and Morgan Wallen were great also! Luke really tries to interact and work with the crowd which makes it more fun. Only thing is that if you like the new album then don’t expect to hear too many songs from it. He played the three singles off of it and then the rest were his older hits, which was fine with me since I haven’t heard too much of the newest album.

ParadiseGirl22’s profile image

It was terrible. We waited in line for 4 hours to park didn't move more than 1 mile and then they postponed the show instead of canceling so we couldn't get a refund to attend his other show coming to Michigan. I bought tickets to the show because I figured a farm show would be less people to take my 7 year old daughter there was 20,000 people supposed to be in attendance. I would have never bought them if I would have known there'd be so many and such unorganized chaos.

Luke Bryan’s 2021 Tour Will Begin in Early July

By Joseph Hudak

Joseph Hudak

Luke Bryan has announced a 36-date tour for 2021. The Proud to Be Right Here Tour is scheduled to begin July 8th at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview, an outdoor venue in Syracuse, New York. Bryan’s run is the latest in a flurry of country tours to be announced in the last few days and, with its early July launch date, will tentatively put the newly crowned ACM Entertainer of the Year back on the road before any of his peers.

Bryan’s tour will play mostly outdoor venues, including Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on July 9th; Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on July 22nd; and the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas. But, notably, Bryan will head indoors for his July 30th Nashville homecoming at the Bridgestone Arena. He’s also set to play the indoor Staples Center in L.A. on October 8th.

Dylan Scott, Caylee Hammack, Runaway June, and DJ Rock are among the support acts on the tour. Scott is on all dates except from July 8th through 18, while Hammack is on all dates through August 14th. She’ll be replaced by Runaway June beginning August 19th. Morgan Wallen was originally supposed to join Bryan on the run, but the country singer announced in April that he’d be taking the summer off from touring, including Bryan’s tour, following the controversy that defined his year.

Bryan, who is also a judge on American Idol , accepted his Entertainer of the Year title at last week’s ACM Awards remotely from L.A. after testing positive for Covid-19. He was originally slated to perform in a pretaped segment on the ACMs.

The Proud to Be Right Here Tour begins at least a full week before the tours of any of Bryan’s contemporaries. Chris Stapleton is scheduled to begin his tour July 17th at Wrigley Field in Chicago; Brothers Osborne launch their run July 29th in Philadelphia; Thomas Rhett takes the stage in Alabama on August 13th; and Kane Brown starts up his trek on October 1st in Sacramento. Eric Church will kick off his arena tour on September 17th in Kentucky.

Luke Bryan is headed out to farms nationwide once again in 2023. On Wednesday (April 26), the singer announced the five dates and towns on his 2023 Farm Tour, an annual tradition that’s now in its 14th year.

“It’s my favorite time of year,” he shared on social media, announcing a string of small family farm performances that will kick off on September 14 in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

The 2023 Farm Tour will take place while Bryan’s in the middle of his 2023 Country On Tour , and this special run of very different shows is one of his favorite parts of touring. “One of the reasons we created these Farm Tour shows: To bring the big-city tour to the people,” he says. “These nights are one-of-a-kind and we really enjoy getting to know the farmers and their families, love the whole atmosphere of playing on these incredible farms and watching entire communities come together and get excited about these shows.”

Back in January, Combs announced the aforementioned Country On Tour , a 36-date run that will begin on June 15 in Syracuse, New York. Special guests will include a wide range of up-and-coming country artists, such as Chayce Beckham, Tyler Braden, Ashley Cooke, Jackson Dean, Jon Langston, Conner Smith, Alana Springsteen, Hailey Whitters, and DJ Rock.

True to his mentoring of new artists as a judge on  American Idol , Bryan has a long tradition of giving breaks to emerging talent on his tours. Artists to benefit from the opportunity in the past have included Cole Swindell, Dustin Lynch, Dylan Scott, Jon Langston,  Little Big Town , Morgan Wallen, Lauren Alaina, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Riley Green.

“Artists get into the business to make music and perform it for the fans,” says the five-time CMA Entertainer of the Year. “Leaving it all out on that stage is what it’s all about for me. I’m excited to support and have so many talented new artists along for the ride this year. It’s one of the most rewarding parts of our job.” The tour takes its name from his  recent hit single  “Country On.”

Hayley Williams is ready to hit the road with longtime pal, Taylor Swift ! The Paramore  frontwoman gushed over Swift's new album, The Tortured Poets Department , while offering a tease of the band's upcoming Eras Tour run.

The 35-year-old musician took to her Instagram Story on Monday, after enjoying an electric Record Store Day over the weekend, to share a handful of her current favorite albums. Unsurprisingly, Swift's TTPD made the list.

"Had me from the storytelling alone, my friend," Williams wrote. "Every one of us knows this kind of grief! It's so impressive to me how specific and colorful Taylor's words get without ever losing the universal thread. I'm so ready to be tour-mates."

Also receiving honorable mentions from Williams were Beyoncé 's  Cowboy Carter , Brittany Howard's What Now , Rufus Wainwright's Want One , Bee Gees' Main Course , Tierra Whack's World Wide Whack , Radiohead's The Bends , The Smile's Wall of Eyes , Blonde Redhead's Sit Down for Dinner  and Idles' Tangk .

Paramore is set to open for Swift on her Eras Tour when it resumes on May 9 in Paris, France. The band will continue to tour with her through her remaining international tour dates, which includes a whopping eight shows at London's Wembley Stadium .

The dates come less than a year after Paramore's headlining This Is Why tour was derailed due to a lung infection for Williams. At the time, Williams shared with fans that she would be using her downtime to "dive head first into creating some better routines" and getting back into "the creative process."

"For me, when we get into this mode it always feels nice to disappear in a way," she admitted in a post on Discord . "Maybe this time I will be able to find balance between the disappearing and yet not completely shutting out the world. But probably not."

It was last summer that Swift, 34, announced that Williams' band would be joining her on the Eras Tour around the same time she dropped  Speak Now (Taylor's Version) . On the rerecorded full-length, Williams is featured on the from-the-vault track, "Castles Crumbling."

"Really can’t contain my excitement because… we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour," Swift shared in July 2023. "And I get to travel the world doing shows with Paramore!! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???"

In  a recent interview  with  Jimmy Fallon on  The Tonight Show , Williams spilled details on how she and Swift first became friends back in 2008.

"Me and Taylor met because both of us -- Paramore and Taylor -- were nominated for Best New Artist the same year at the GRAMMYS," she said.

Though the late Amy Winehouse took the trophy that night, Williams and Swift ended up at the same after-party.

"We were at some GRAMMY party -- it was actually Timbaland's GRAMMY party. [It was] huge. I was very nervous," Williams recalled. "But a woman came up to me and she said, 'I'm Taylor Swift's mom and, you know, Taylor doesn't have a lot of friends her age that do music. And I would love to, like, you know, introduce you guys or get your number or whatever.'"

"So Andrea, the legend that she is, she connected us," Williams added, referencing Taylor's mom, Andrea Swift.

Swift's 11th studio album,  The Tortured Poets D epartment , and its lead single, " Fortnight " featuring  Post Malone , were released on Friday to much fanfare.

In terms of traditional album sales,  Billboard  reports that Swift's  TTPD  sold 1.4 million copies --  including CD, vinyl, cassette and digital download versions -- in its first day alone. This surpasses her own biggest sales week, when  1989 (Taylor's Version)  sold 1.359 million copies. All signs indicate that  TTPD  will be making a massive, record-shattering debut when tracking for its first week concludes on Thursday, April 25.

The 31-track collection --  which turned out to be a surprise double album  -- features a hefty helping of  heartbreak songs  following her splits from  Joe Alwyn  and  Matty Healy , as well as a few  sweet love songs  amid her current relationship with  Travis Kelce .

"She has put her heart and soul into the music, just like with everything she does," a source told ET about the album, "and can't wait for her fans to listen to it and to share it with them."

Luke Bryan may well have ascended to nationwide celebrity status as a result of his long-time role as a judge on American Idol. But don't for one minute think he's forgotten his down-home country roots - or how to lead a good old arena-wide hoedown.

Bryan kicked off his 2023 Country On tour in June, which will take the Georgia native and his arsenal of hits across states such as New York, Oregon, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho and more.

Before that, though, fans have had a number of chances to see the ‘One Margarita’ hitmaker performing live, with Bryan also making appearances at Stagecoach in April and the iHeartCountry Festival in May.

Here you can find Luke Bryan's updated setlist as he embarks on his 2023 concert tour.

From the looks of his 2023 setlist so far, if you're heading to a Luke Bryan concert, rest assured it'll be jam-packed with celebratory, party-starting anthems.

These include the likes of ‘Country Girl (Shake It for Me)’, ‘Drink a Beer’ and ‘Kick the Dust Up’, along with Bryan's most recent No. 1 single, ‘Country On’, which provided the inspiration for his 2023 tour name.

With Bryan being the affable charmer that he is, he unsurprisingly leaves room in his setlist for a healthy dose of romance. This year, ticket-holders have been excited to see the singer-songwriter delivering live renditions of ‘Knockin’ Boots’, ‘Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye’ and ‘I See You’, the latter of which has been serving as his set closer.

Tickets to Luke Bryan's 2023 concert tour are available now, and can be purchased below:

Luke Bryan Opens Up About His Onstage Fall: 'I Busted My Ass'

The "Buy Dirt" singer fell while performing at Vancouver's Coast City Country Festival on April 20

Luke Bryan is opening up about his onstage fall.

While performing at the Coast City Country Festival in Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday, April 20, the country singer, 47, took a tumble after he thought he tripped over a fan’s phone.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet after the Monday, April 22 episode of American Idol , Bryan revealed that he had just had his back worked on before the fall.

“Ironically, last week, I was having back trouble to the point where I had to get a chiropractor to the room," the American Idol judge told the outlet.

"[Anyway], so when I hit the ground, I was like, 'Oh!' The first thing [I thought] was, 'Oh God, all the work I did to get my back feeling better is out!'" he admitted with a laugh.

Meanwhile, Bryan also said that he didn’t think it was a phone that caused the fall.

“Everybody is reporting [about the] cellphone, but I was kind of hamming that up," Bryan said. "I don't think it was a cellphone. I think it was just slick,” he said.

"I need viral moments, you know?" Bryan joked. "My new single is 'Love You, Miss You, Mean It.' Now I gotta get the bumper sticker made — 'I busted my ass and this is my new single.' "

He added to Extra , “What was funny was... when my feet went out from under me, I didn't really know what happened, and when I landed, I thought it was a cell phone. Then, when I look back at the tapes... I keep my water bottles down there, and I think a water bottle may have spilled. But whatever, it was slicker than a banana peel. Thankfully, it’s a cheap way to get a viral moment going.”

In a video shared by TMZ , Bryan appeared unhurt after the fall and immediately sat up with a grin on his face.

"Hold up! Did anybody get that?" he said at the time. He then passed the object to a fan who was apologizing to him. "It's OK," he told the person, before joking, "My lawyer will be calling."
