P.O.D. Book Huge ‘Satellite’ 20th Anniversary 2021 Tour With From Ashes to New, All Good Things + Sleep Signals

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of their multi-platinum  Satellite album, P.O.D. will embark on a huge summer tour with From Ashes to New , All Good Things and Sleep Signals appearing on most of the dates. A special edition of the album has also been announced.

"We've been touring and working hard for almost 30 years now," said P.O.D. singer Sonny Sandoval . "It's all we know," he continued, adding "This past year has really made me realize how much I love what I do and how much I appreciate that I am still able to make music and play live for all of those who are still listening. Thank you to all of you who still love live music and can't wait to be a part of the P.O.D. experience. We can't wait to see all of your beautiful faces out on the road."

With this renewed sense of spirit, the band, who last released  Circles  in 2018, will kickstart their run with an appearance at the famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at Buffalo Chip on South Dakota on Aug. 14.

From there, P.O.D. will remain on the road through early October, making occasional stops at other fests along the way before the anniversary trek concludes in San Diego, California on Oct. 7.

"It's been way too long. We are beyond excited to get back to the stage — where we provide the rock and you provide the roll," commented guitarist Marcos Curiel. "From familiar faces to new ones, let's get back to what we've all been waiting for. We are ready as a band to create new memories with you all. Let's do this! Peace, love, light, and rock 'n' roll."

Looking forward to getting back onstage, From Ashes to New's Matt Brandyberry said, "In 2001, we were literally 'The Youth of the Nation' and P.O.D.'s hit was an anthem to so many of us. Satellite was an album that helped shape a genre and will go down as one of the greatest records of that era. We are honored to join them on this U.S. tour to help celebrate 20 years of an absolute masterpiece."

On Sept. 3, P.O.D. will drop a special  Satellite: 20th Anniversary Edition  digitally and as a double CD with 27 songs, including a remastered version of the original record as well as rarities, remixes and four previously unreleased demos. A double-LP version of the anniversary edition will be released later on Oct. 8.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of their fourth studio album Satellite , P.O.D. have announced a summer tour. The lengthy US run will kick off on August 14 in Sturgis, South Dakota at Buffalo Chip, and wrap up on October 7 at San Diego, California's House of Blues. From Ashes to New, All Good Things and Sleep Signals are slated as support for select dates. VIP Packages and pre-sale tickets for Satellite Tour are available now. Twentieth anniversary of the band’s biggest album available Sept 3rd

P.O.D. has set  Satellite: 20th Anniversary Edition for 2 CD and digital for September 3rd via Rhino Records. Released a few days before the album’s official anniversary on September 11th, the 27-song collection introduces a newly remastered version of the original album, plus a selection of rarities, remixes, and four previously unreleased demos, including “Alive (Semi-acoustic Version),” available now. A few weeks later, on October 8th, a 2 LP vinyl edition will be available as part of Rhino’s Rocktober campaign.

The new collection has a bonus disc that includes b-sides like “Critic” and “Sabbath” that were initially released in Europe, plus remixes for “Boom” by The Crystal Method and “Youth Of The Nation” by Mike$ki.

In 2001, P.O.D. released its fourth studio album Satellite , a 3x platinum smash that remains the hard rock band’s best-selling album.

P.O.D. enjoyed a taste of mainstream success in 1999 with the arrival of its third studio album – and major-label debut – The Fundamental Elements of Southtown. That platinum album primed the pump for an even more significant commercial breakthrough two years later with Satellite . After debuting at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, the record went on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide, including three million in the US. The record generated four singles: the title track, “Alive,” “Youth Of The Nation,” and “Boom.” In addition to its commercial success, Satellite also earned P.O.D. three Grammy nominations for: “Alive” (Best Hard Rock Performance, 2002), “Portrait” (Best Metal Performance, 2003), and “Youth Of The Nation” (Best Hard Rock Performance, 2003).

To celebrate the record’s 20th anniversary, the San Diego-based group is hitting the road for its Satellite Tour. The trek begins on August 14th in Sturgis, SD, where the band will perform at the famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The group will play concerts across North America, including the Satellite Tour’s last show in their hometown of San Diego on October 7th.

First time I've Satellite Stories live and they did not dissapoint! One of the best nights I've had in ages. I will definantly see them again when they tour London! I highly reccomend others to go see them!

They played a fantastic show - tons of energy and played a very long set. Seemed genuinely excited to be there and sounded great. Quite a range of songs from all of their albums.

Awesome concert with lots of dancing (and sweating) The Farewell Tour was their last one :(

What an incredible show! Over 3 bis and more than 5 extra songs after the show, unexpected acoustic songs, and a crazy show of the singer jumping on the public!

What is a satellite media tour? A satellite media tour is a series of  TV, radio and online interviews conducted in a single day from a single location. It allows your spokesperson to be interviewed by multiple outlets around the country without the expense of traveling to each market. Interviews are typically booked in 5-10 minute windows.

How long do satellite media tours last? The average satellite media tour is four-to-five hours, and typically starts in the early morning hours to accommodate morning news programs.

Where do satellite media tours take place? There are three production options for a satellite media tour: In-Studio, On-location (remote) or Virtual (Zoom). Lyons PR produces Satellite Media Tours all across the country, and across the globe.

How many interviews take place during a SMT? A satellite media tour typically consists of between 20-and-30 interviews. Depending on the campaign, spokesperson and location, that number may be higher or lower.

The most wonderful time of the golf season reaches its conclusion Sunday as the beauty of April surrounds Augusta National Golf Club. The 2024 Masters started as a star-studded affair with a loaded field featuring the best golfers in the world and Scottie Scheffler entering as the favorite. Scheffler held that same position entering Round 4 and has only increased his advantage as the Masters rolls ot a finish.

Scheffler is looking to become the 10th golfer in Masters history to win two green jackets in a three-year span, and given his level of play over the last two years, no one is doubting he can accomplish his goal. Should he do so, he would pick up a $3.6 million winner's check out of a record  2024 Masters prize money allotment -- a $20 million purse .

While five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods set a new record at Augusta National by making the weekend in his 24th consecutive playing of the tournament, he completely ejected on Saturday with his worst score in a major championship round. Tiger rebounded Sunday while playing his 100th round at Augusta National  but nevertheless signed for a 16 over, his worst score to par at a major and the second-worst round overall across his professional career. (At least he wasn't among the major stars who missed the cut .)

The 2024 Masters gets serious on Saturday, April 13, with the third round at Augusta National Golf Club . You can see the complete Masters Saturday tee times for Round 3 at the bottom of this post.

Scottie Scheffler , the No. 1 player in the world and pre-tournament betting favorite, finds himself right where everyone expected him to be at the halfway point of this week’s Masters: in the lead.

But he’s not alone on top of the leaderboard, and he won’t be in the final pairing on Saturday.

That honor belongs to Bryson DeChambeau and Max Homa , who have matched Scheffler’s 36-hole score of six under.

DeChambeau and Homa will tee off for Saturday’s third round at 2:45 p.m. ET. Scheffler will set off with Nicolai Hojgaard at 2:35 p.m. ET.

Golf fans, get ready, because today is the final round of the PGA Tour Masters Tournament. The PGA Tour Masters Tournament is set to take place Apr. 11-14.

What time does The Masters start?

This Sunday, the 2024 Masters will tee off with Holes 4,5 and 6 starting at 10:15 a.m. Third Round coverage will air on CBS starting at 2 p.m. ET.

What channel is the 2024 Masters on?

For US viewers, the Masters tournament will air across a mix of ESPN and CBS. With select coverage streaming on ESPN+ and Paramount+. ESPN will air the first two rounds of the tournament on Thursday and Friday, and CBS will cover the third and final rounds this Saturday and Sunday.

Both ESPN+ and Paramount+ will have early coverage before the ESPN and CBS broadcasts all four days of the tournament, starting at 8:45 a.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10:15 a.m. this weekend. Masters coverage will also stream live on the 2024 Masters website , starting at 8:15 a.m. ET Thursday morning. So if you want to tune in before the televised first round begins on ESPN, that’s your best bet.

The third round of the the 2024 Masters  begins with a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard. Bryson DeChambeau, Scottie Scheffler, and Max Homa lead the field at 6-under ahead of Saturday's action from Augusta National Golf Club.

Round 1 of the Masters tournament got off to a rough start due to heavy rain and thunderstorms, which caused a  delay  of two and a half hours. DeChambeau took the lead with a 7-under-65 to open the first day of action from Augusta. Due to the delay, many golfers had to wrap up Round 1 Friday morning, including Tiger Woods.

DeChambeau stayed at the top through Day 2, jockeying for position with Scheffler. Homa closed in on DeChambeau as well with a 1-under-71 to move into a tie at the top. Masters debutante Ludvig Åberg had the best score of Day 2 with a 3-under-69 to break into the top 10 of the leaderboard .
