LOVED this experience & will absolutely be back to try more. Everything about this meal was sublime. Not pictured were the marigold salad, ranch saltines, marinated olives & bread+ butter. All were fantastic starter snacks/salad. Oysters were great & very fresh. A MUST order is the ricotta gnudi, they were light, fluffy, FLAVORFUL & so delicious. The duck Wellington was fantastic, the outer crust was flaky, buttery & the inside was perfectly tender with lots of flavor. We got the sundae cart for dessert and the clotted cream ice cream was delicious. Service was impeccable, drinks were yummy & overall an incredible experience. The restaurant inside was absolutely stunning with the most beautiful decorations & murals on the wall. Reminded me of Bemelmans bar at the Carlyle hotel in NYC. The matchbox was such a great touch of added detail. I will absolutely be back & can't wait to try more!!
I came here for dinner with my 2 Yelp friends. So glad to be able to snag a resy for this new restaurant, as it seems to be hot right now. The Chefs Felipe & Austin (from Rosie Cannonball, March, & Montrose Cheese and Wine) created a French and London influence concept. Service - Kelley was our server, and she was delightful. Ryan (I'm not sure if he's the GM?) checked on us frequently, and he really listened and provided great service. It's intricately designed, with hand painted murals by Pauline de Roussy de Sales, on the walls filled with people that look like me, love the inclusion. Upholstered round tables lining the walls. Beautiful light fixtures. And a self playing piano. All of this creates a nice environment to enjoy a night out for a special occasion or just to enjoy life. The servers are dressed to the nines, in white dinner jackets and black bow ties, so it's a more upscale vibe. Food - I ordered pretty much all the h'ordevers. The Kaluga Cavier toast- was a nice bite as it's one piece. The mussel toast comes with 5 pieces and was flavorful with a nice sauce. The English Gougere comes with 5 tiny puff pastries with a lovely creamy aged cheese inside. It could really be an after dinner last bite as well, as there is a sweetness to it. For my main, I got the scallop crudo- which was also tasty and on the lighter side but very bright. My friends enjoyed the Duck Wellington and the Seared Stripe Bass. I also had a bite of their asparagus salad. Which has parmesan and tarragon and what seems like lemon or something acidic as well. Not what I expected, but it was good. Overall, the food was good at a 4, but the 5 stars is because of the excellent service in a beautiful restaurant.

What an exquisite addition to Houston's special restaurants. Very beautiful, fancy, interesting, not at all stuffy. Definitely sit in the main dining room. The menu isn't too large but has some exciting options to pick and choose from. I loved the delightful caviar toast. I opted for a smaller dish of fish not chips that was just right, not too heavy and paired well with the tasty leek appetizer. Service was on point. Very attentive but not overly so. Everyone we came in contact with was pleasant and gracious. Highly recommend for a fancy date or special occasion. There's also a cute bar area if you just want drinks.

Came here on a weekday night. Highly recommend a res! Parking is valet (complimentary). The ambiance is very chic and classy, and I enjoyed how each wall was different. I liked how they had a Steinway that played on its own. My dining partner and I had a semicircular booth (there are only 5 - request this if possible!). My only gripe is that it's crowded in certain areas of the place, as I had to wait for a group to pass before making my way to the table, and then waitstaff to finish at the neighboring table before greeting my dining partner. The layout of the restaurant is suboptimal in these select areas. The fish no chips is excellent, and our fave was the duck wellington. It was super flavorful and perfectly cooked. The asparagus salad side was delightful as well. Their martinis are all very solid - we tried 2. The Marigold was my fave! Service was very attentive and professional.
Such a great atmosphere and experience!! A cute romantic vibe with fabulous cocktails and yummy food
From the tables so close you can listen and share conversation, poor poor service, mediocre at best food to the sommelier who obviously doesn't like to interact with your clients, this visit was very very disappointing for all 4 of us. There are so many excellent restaurants in town, we certainly won't be back and definitely will not recommend to anyone.
The Marigold Club is absolutely fantastic! Every dish that we tried, the impeccable service, and the lovely ambiance make The Marigold Club not just dinner but an incredible experience. The food was excellent--here are a few of the dishes we tried: -Entree: The one dish that I keep craving and want to go back and have again is the seared striped bass. It has a to-die-for curry sauce and was perfectly cooked. -Sides: The minted peas and chilled asparagus were both very surprising and very delicious. -Raw: The scallop crudo was so fresh and tasty, and the CAVIAR was amazing!! -Dessert: You cannot miss dessert. Our table tried a few desserts, and the clear winner was the ice cream cart. They come around with a cart with three scoops of different kinds of ice cream (one flavor may have been clotted cream? I can't remember exactly) and then add the toppings you like--my favorite topping was the homemade marshmallow. And the restaurant is just beautiful. From the hand-painted mural covering the walls to the self-playing piano, The Marigold Club is delightful.
If you are looking for a special evening, boy have you come to the right place! Marigold Club is the newest restaurant from Goodnight Hospitality and this one is a doozy. From the moment you step in the door the attention to detail is astounding. The ambiance manages to be both classy and sexy as hell. The service was attentive and knowledgeable and the food was a triumph. Some of my favorite dishes were the Gougère, Ricotta Gnudi and the minted peas. My husband got the Duck Wellington and absolutely loved it. I would also recommend that you not leave without indulging in the sundae cart and an espresso martini. A masterful addition to the Houston dining scene that is perfect for a romantic date night or a martini with a side of fries at the bar.

A cute date spot indeed! This spot is very quaint and the decor is a gem. NOW...the menu is not extensive so please have a look before you arrive. The bread was good & a good starter! The Kaluga toast was fantastic if you're a caviar lover that is & if not this is a good way to try it for a decent price. The seared striped bass was good, it just needed salt to taste. The ice cream cart was underwhelming because there were no proprietary elements with it, just regular flavors and toppings; it's an "instagramable" thing to capture, but it's not a "different" type of flavor profile. The other desserts = must try!

The ambiance and sumptuous decor immediately transports you to an elegant private dinner club you most likely experienced in London. The food was on point as was the service. Servers were attentive but unobtrusive. The only part of the restaurant that is disappointing is the side room that's very bright and not cozy. Only sit in the dining room with the player piano and decadent atmosphere.

9 L.A. supper clubs serving up unique, connection-driven dining experiences
- Copy Link URL Copied!
In Los Angeles, dining out can sometimes feel like a spectator sport. But in recent years, supper clubs have been proliferating as a refreshing antidote to the see-and-be-seen restaurant culture. Often discovered through word of mouth, these intimate culinary gatherings shift the focus from spectacle to what truly matters: good vibes, great food and meaningful connections.
But what exactly are supper clubs? âRosalynn became one after my friend mentioned thatâs what I was doing â private dining in the chefâs home,â explains Jasper Lynn, creator of Rosalynn Supper Club . âI had never heard of it before but adopted the term.â
While more chefs are inviting diners into their homes, supper clubs frequently pop up in unique, non-traditional venues that provide a distinct sense of escape or create a memorable atmosphere, such as the Ecology Center, a working organic farm in San Juan Capistrano.
Sana Keefer, founder of Asi Asi Projects , pairs chefs with locations that reflect their food. âHosting in a residence allows us to find new stories within each place, and that story influences the entire evening,â she says. âGuests recognize connection to a place ... and we aim to pull out the essence through dinner.â
Connection is at the heart of why Thao Pham launched 888 Supper Club , an offshoot of her popular Vietnamese pop-up, TĂłp TĂŠp. âAn intimate dinner party format allows me to meet every guest, talk about whatâs on their plate and share its significance,â Pham says.
Supper clubs not only connect us with the people who cook and prepare our meals but also help us forge new bonds with fellow diners.
Recognizing this, Asia White, founder of Suppa Club , insisted on branding her events as âanti-networking.â âIf real-deal connections are what Iâm looking for, Iâm not going to a day party or the club,â she says. âI need something intimate and approachable to feel comfortable.â
Beyond building community, supper clubs can also be a solution for chefs avoiding the pitfalls of a traditional restaurant lease, as was the case with Barbara Pollastrini. Frustrated by potential partners and investors imposing their ideas on everything from menu items to music, Pollastrini found an imaginative way to fulfill her dream of opening Da Barbara â by converting an apartment into a cozy dining space.
Thatâs not to say operating a supper club is easy. âOne of the main challenges has been learning to work out of a small kitchen, since Iâm used to a large kitchen with a team of 45 in Nigeria,â says Tolu Eros, who runs IlĂŠ out of his Hollywood loft. âWorking with a team of six in an apartment-style kitchen took some getting used to.â
Despite these challenges, the desire to innovate and offer something that transcends traditional restaurant dynamics remains strong. For a one-of-a-kind culinary experience, here are nine supper clubs in L.A. that are redefining how we dine.
