Great Customer Service

We were two families (2 parents, 2 kids each) and rented two UTVs. We realized immediately one of the seatbelts in the back was jammed. We called Dawn and she got us a replacement within 15 minutes, fantastic service!! After that, we had an amazing day traversing the northern part of the island and all the trails. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Rough Riders for UTV rentals in Aruba. The machines were in great shape and we had a blast exploring the island. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We got a flat tire out on the trails and they quickly came out and got us back underway.

IT’S A LONG REVIEW BUT PLEASE READ. Not a great experience. Book elsewhere. We called around looking for utv’s but no one had availably except them. I was concerned with the bad reviews but we wanted to explore the island so we figured we would give it a shot. We rented 4 utvs which they delivered to our location which was nice but that’s kind of where the pros stopped. When delivered they said it would be cheaper to pay cash then credit card because of fees and things so we all did. As soon I started driving and hit the brakes it would barely brake and the whole machine sounded rough. We were not expecting some amazing machines because let’s face it these are utv’s that get rented everyday and abused by renter’s everyday, but man they where not in good shape. Once we got to our first stop at the California light house we talked as a group as to how bad these things are but hey let’s make the best of it. All of us took it pretty easy cause we were afraid of braking down lol. We went about our day exploring the island. On our way back to the where we were staying while driving down the road our friends utv sprung an oil leak spraying him and his wife with hot oil not fun. Burning both of them and ruining everything they had on and with them. We all pulled over on the side of the road and gave them a call. While we waited I myself (a former automobile mechanic) went to look at what happened. After further inspection it looked like this wasn’t the first time this machine had issues. The oil lines that ran to the oil cooler had multiple hose clamps on it and our other utv’s didn’t. There was also a hole in the firewall that looked like it was made so that someone could presumably weld the damaged frame on the utv. Well when you are driving 25mph and an oil leak occurs the hot oil splashes through that hole and onto its occupants. They came and picked up our friends and brought them back to our place. Then crickets. Nothing was done, no refund, no partial refund nothing. Not an apology nothing. Our friends not only burned but lost at least $900 worth of there belongs by being soaked in oil and they still did nothing. So imagine being a business owner and this happens with a group of people what would you do? Would you call and apologize and offer some form of compensation or have 8 people upset that you did nothing and write bad reviews about you. If they could care less about upsetting a group of 8 customer imagine the level of care they would give if you are a solo renter. I have seen in other reviews that the owner tries to claim that the reviewer did not rent from them. I have the email exchange from the he owner when we booked.

Easy to book through google chat, they dropped off the UTV to our hotel and provided all the info on our responsibility and forms to sign and we were off. The UTV worked great and they provided the standard map of attractions. We had 8 hours with the vehicle for a great deal.

Please Read and don’t use this company ! - the equipment they have is old un maintained and 20.00 more than other companies on island - we rented 3 and within the first 5 min the throttle cable snapped - i had to quickly get out and push the UTV off rd before getting hit in the middle of street - we then had to wait 30 min for them to come repair the cable another 15 min while the rest of the party waited - then we got a flat tire ( driver hit rock on trail ) had to go back and fourth with such an attitude from office - saying our trip is over because we had 2 incidents as if the first one was our fault ??? - we had to wait another 45 min for the staff to come and change tire he had such an attitude ! which quickly escalated. Very avoidable. - this company brags about being the only USA UTV company owner on island - well they shouldn’t. - Aruba is a happy island and this owner should treat their clients better or actually go back to the states and leave the hospitality to the locals !!

The UTV’s were in such poor condition two or your three broke down leaving us stranded. One of the UTV’s accelerator broke while I was driving on the road, which is incredibly dangerous. They also claimed the issues to be our fault and charged us for them. One of the worst experiences, have been to other UTV rentals on the island and had a way better experience. Go elsewhere.

What an amazing time and the best way to get to areas of the island you wouldn't normally be able to get to!
