Eating Rare Candy allows you to level up without fighting Trainers or wild Pokémon. There are only a few Rare Candies in the game, and to get them, you typically have to solve challenges, fight, or dive. Infinite rare candies await you with the following cheat codes:

Cheats are fun, but they may crash your game if you don’t follow best practices. Here’s how to use Pokémon Emerald cheats safely:

• Use cheats sparingly. Too many cheats can cause file corruption or game crashes. If you have a corrupted file, disabling cheats won’t help restore the game, and you’ll need to start over.
• Save your game. Make sure you save your game before using cheats. This way, if something goes wrong, you can always come back to the pre-cheat point.
• Turn off after use. Did you use a cheat code to gain a specific item? Turn the cheat off to prevent crashes and ensure the item stays in your inventory.

Cheat Troubleshooting Tips

If you try using a cheat and it doesn’t work, check this:

• Does the code’s end have any empty spaces? Try removing them.
• Are you using Emerald V1.0? Cheats work better on V1.0 vs. V1.1.
• Did you select the right cheat type? If you aren’t sure, try the Android app My Boy.

Finally, GameShark cheats often won’t work on GBA4iOS, and there’s not much you can do to fix this problem.

How to cheat in pokémon emerald.

If you have the Gameshark or Action Replay accessory then you will be pleased to know that inputting cheats is as simple as tapping in a code – and there are a lot of Pokémon Emerald cheat codes out there to use.

Some of them require a master code to be used first. The master codes for Pokémon Emerald are:

Type that master code in using your Gameshark or Action Replay and you should then be able to enter a number of cheats – we've got a list of great codes further down this page.

On the other hand, if you are playing using the Visual Boy Advance emulator, follow these steps to cheat in Pokémon Emerald:

• First, open up the VBA emulator.
• Now select File, then Open and now choose the Pokémon Emerald ROM.
• Select Cheats and then Cheat list from the VBA menu.
• Select Gameshark.
• Enter your codes of choice
• Select OK twice and you will be back in the game.
