We offer complimentary, self-guided tours of the Mill everyday during our operating hours.   Witness the historic cider-making process in the learning center and cider-gallery, explore the Mill Store Marketplace and taste our beverages in the Tasting Room.

Milling around is part of the fun at the Fly Creek Cider Mill and there is no better place to start than by the Millpond. Located just behind the Mill, the pond is where water energy that drives the cider making machinery is held before releasing it through the turbine. It is also home to the Mill's friendly ducks and geese whose antics are entertaining to watch.  The new "Quack & Honk" Gemstone Mining Sluice is ready and waiting for you to find your hidden Gems!  The wheelchair-accessible boardwalk provides a wonderful place to sit, relax and enjoy a refreshing treat from the restaurant and bakery — all the while taking in the beautiful view.

Children will not want to leave without exploring Tractorland next to the Restaurant & Bakery: a kiddie play area for ages 2 - 6 with a paved little-trike track and a wooden climb-on tractor. Plenty of covered picnic tables are provided for mom and dad to enjoy a food and beverage treat while the young folks work off their energy.

All these tours, attractions and activities make the Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard a fun stop for any Cooperstown area itinerary

What People are Saying

“I have since had my own children and we get together with eachothers’ families to enjoy a fun filled day together at the orchards. As a homeschooling mom, teaching my children first-hand about nature and where real food comes from is important to me. The location and accessibility of Plymouth Orchards is a convenience I really appreciate. I enjoy giving my children the opportunity to get up close to farm animals. We observe and learn and laugh together.”

Cheryl W. started visiting Plymouth Orchard and Cider Mill with her sister in 2005

“My family and I have been visiting Plymouth Orchards for many years and are sure to visit every year. My daughters have grown up going to the orchard. I enjoy watching my daughters make memories each and every year.”

Susan W. considers Plymouth Orchard and Cider Mill a family tradition. From the best donuts around to cider and cider slush, she enjoys the welcoming atmosphere.

“We had my son’s first birthday party here today and we had a blast! The staff was very accommodating, the grounds and room were beautiful, and the doughnuts and cider were amazing!”

Danielle O. planned a party at Plymouth Orchard and Cider Mill recently.

“Open space, fresh air, time away from the chaos of every day – and the cider and donuts. There aren’t very many communities that can say they have a local orchard!”

Chris M. discovered Plymouth Orchard and Cider Mill 15 years ago. She appreciates the

“It’s a great place to be out in nature with the family and socialize.”

Celeste H. has been coming to Plymouth Orchard and Cider Mill for 30 years. The cider and donuts are the main attraction.

“My granddaughter is 16 months old and enjoyed the little farm. The photo opportunities were worth the trip. Mums were reasonably priced and gorgeous. I loved the gourd display with the informational board. The live band played outside as we waited to enter the store while the smell of donuts wafted through the air. I love the diversity of the customers, and everyone seemed comfortable and welcomed. It was very busy, but that is how I knew I’d found just the right place.”

Joyce F took her first trip in October 2017 to Plymouth Orchard and Cider Mill.

Finnriver is an organic farm, orchard and craft cidery located along a salmon stream in the Chimacum Valley on the north Olympic Peninsula of Washington— the traditional and contemporary territories of the S’Klallam (Nəxʷsƛ̕áy̕əm̕) and the Chemakum (Aqokúlo or Čə́məq̓əm).

While our farm is remote, we're honored to be on the forefront of the Pacific Northwest hard cider revival and to craft ciders that both recognize historic hard cider traditions from around the world, and offer fresh perspectives on the possibilities of the fermented apple. We grow and source organic, wild harvested, and seasonal ingredients to help grow a vibrant regional community food system.

We seek to create deep-rooted and fruitful connections at our farm-based gathering space at our Cider Garden, open year-round with cider on draft, seasonal tours & tastings, live music, local food, seasonal events and celebrations.

Over the 15 years since we started farming in this community, multiple branches of the Finnriver family tree have sprouted. Finnriver Farm & Cidery grows, sources and ferments organic apples & pears into a line of farmcrafted hard ciders and fruit wines. Chimacum Valley Grainery grows and mills organic grains and produces local flours, pastas, and baked goods. And Stellar J Farms , located at the original home farm, grows organic fruit and veggies.

Our mission is to celebrate the beauty and bounty of the earth, to reconnect people to the land that sustains us and to grow community!

Finnriver's farm and orchard is Certified Organic and Salmon Safe and the Cidery is also a Certified B Corporation, seeking to do business as if people and place matter.

Finnriver offers a place for diverse folks of all walks of life to gather, grow community and reconnect to the land.

19 Acres Cider Co.

19 Acres Hard Cider takes pride in knowing apples, with over 40 years of experience in apple farming! Our family farm, Oregon Heritage Farms, is located in Beaverton, Or and is just over 400 acres with 250 of that being dedicated to apples. After decades of selling apples commercially we had literal tons of not so pretty fruit that needed a home. So we decided to take 19 Acres of our farm and dedicate it to a new project, 19 Acres Hard Cider Company. Taking pride in knowing that we take care of the apple from bloom to bottle. We only use whole ingredients and NEVER use any form of concentrate or added flavors. Doing our best to minimize waste and create the highest quality cider for your enjoyment!

2 Towns Ciderhouse

At 2 Towns Ciderhouse we believe that the long history of cidermaking demands respect and deserves to be done right. Starting with the highest quality, whole ingredients from local farms, we take no shortcuts in crafting our ciders. We refuse to add processed sugars, concentrates or artificial flavors, and instead use slow, cold fermentation methods to allow the fruit to speak for itself. As a family-owned company, we are committed to the growth of our team and enrichment of our communities. We take pride in producing a true Northwest craft cider.

Alma Cider is a family operated, small batch cidery, made with hand picked apples in the Skagit Valley located in Western Washington. We proudly use only locally grown apples while our own orchard is being established. We have hand grafted several thousand true cider apple trees and will be flush with fruit in the coming years.

Alpenfire Cider

Alpenfire's ciders range in style from old world to new world; from barrel matured, bittersharp, bone dry varieties to luscious pommeau's made with fresh pressed juice and apple brandy. With every cider, we strive to let the apples tell their own story. Our bittersweet and bittersharp varieties speak of tradition and earthiness, the smell and feel of a fall orchard. The high acid heirloom varieties remind us of the sharp crisp flavor of our grandfather's apples. The incredible red flesh specialty apples we use let us know that spring and wild strawberries are only a bottle away. We hope you find a story of your own, come and explore.

Apple Outlaw

Apple Outlaw is a family owned orchard and cidery located in the beautiful Applegate Valley of Southern Oregon. Our orchard is certified organic and we cherish our land and take our responsibility of being stewards of this beautiful place very seriously. We have nurtured our trees and they are thriving. The orchard has over 1,000 trees and many varieties – MacIntosh, Red Delicious, Granny Smith, Rome beauty, Gravenstein, Arkansas Black, Ginger Gold, Gold Rush, Blenheim Red, Matsu, some pear, and some heirloom unknowns that are just starting to produce. We just planted an acre of cider varietals and started with Wickson and Belle de Boskoop.

Art+Science, Cider & Wine

Art+Science is a farm based, natural producer of cider, perry, co-ferments and wines. All fruit is sourced ethically from organic, biodynamic, regenerative and no-till farms or foraged from unsprayed & unmanaged trees. We believe in using the best possible fruit and never use bulk juice, additives or flavoring adjuncts. All of our products are 100% native yeast fermented, bottle conditioned & dry. Our outdoor farm tasting room is open in the summer only and surrounded by pollinator gardens and shaded seating areas with a view of the Coast Range. We host big concerts & campouts throughout the summer and have Hipcamp on site. You can pick up our products at our tasting room, ship from our website, sign up for our club or stop in your favorite bottle shop in the PNW and beyond. Open June- September Friday-Sunday 3-9PM or by appointment.

Avid Cider Company

Inspired by the landscape, culture, and the abundance of fruit in the North West, AVID Cider Company, a family run business, is dedicated to creating hard cider using sustainably sourced and local ingredients. AVID Cider Co. was founded as a result of the dissatisfaction with the lack of variety and excessively dry or cloyingly sweet ciders available in the market place in 2013. We saw the opportunity to create hard cider that better balances the elements of a flavor profile, and satiates our thirst for a cider that is “just right.”

Bandon Rain

Bandon Rain, like many good things, started as a hobby in 2013 when third-generation cranberry farmer Gary Gant made his first batch of fresh-pressed hard apple cider. Trevor and Mary Gant soon picked up the project. After impressing friends with their creations, they knew they were on to something special. A summer hobby quickly transformed into a business prospect when Trevor, Mary, Gary & Karen Gant turned an old cranberry shed on their farm into a small production cidery located in Bandon, Oregon. Three years later, Bandon Rain is now officially open for business, introducing our signature cranberry apple unique craft cider.

Bauman’s Cider

Bauman Farms was first homesteaded in 1895 by Elizabeth Bauman and her teenage sons Stephen and Leo. In the early 1900’s, my Great Grandpa Stephen began making cider in the barn for family and neighbors alike. We try and use as much fruit from our farm as possible in our cider, and when we can’t we strive to source only local Northwest ingredients. Take a long sip and enjoy our continuing family tradition. WHERE TO GET SOME Please visit us a Bauman Farms to enjoy a pint, taste our newest ciders or fill a growler! You can also throughout Oregon and SW Washington at many bars, restaurants, bottle shops and grocery stores. We are currently distributed by Maletis.

Blossom Barn Cidery

BLOSSOM BARN CIDERY Perries & Ciders from Oregon’s Applegate Valley Visit our website to buy our ciders online or find out who is selling them near you. We now ship our ciders to 40 states!

Bull Biter Cider

We are dedicated to bringing you real cider made from bittersharp + bittersweet cider apples, fresh pressed annually, not from concentrate, naturally fermented, never sweetened, aged in bottle + in barrel. In the British West County tradition, our cider makers use only bittersharp and bittersweet apple varietals to craft our micro-lot ciders. Bull Biter partners with growers from across Cascadia that share our commitment to holistic and ethical farming practices, and our passion for real cider. By working closely with the same growers and trees year after year, our pomologist hopes to encourage a new ethos in the American cider. One founded on respect for the land and it stewards, and the unique terroir in what they produce.

Bushel & Barrel Ciderhouse

We are Bushel and Barrel Ciderhouse, Kitsap County’s first established Cidery. While the craft breweries are bustling with quality and unique brews, there was a void in the cider community that Bushel and Barrel Ciderhouse was happy to fill. At Bushel and Barrel Ciderhouse, we have a vision extending beyond the craft cider we produce which we want to share with the community. The mantra at Bushel and Barrel Ciderhouse is “Micro Cidery… Macro Cause.” What this means to us is that we strive to create a business that is a vessel to provide community development and an avenue to help local citizens in need. We implement a business model that produces a series of ciders where a percentage of the profits go to local charities and projects. By re-investing our profits back into the community, we hope to create awareness within our circle of influence that every small action can create exponential gains, and ultimately cause change on a macro level. We hope you enjoy our ciders that are crafted in small batches from locally sourced ingredients. Cheers!

Cedar Draw Cider

Local hard cidery creating unique ciders that honor our land's heritage and the old growth orchards available in our valley. Emily and John started Cedar Draw Cider in 2018 on their 3 acre family orchard in Buhl, Idaho, when Emily, an oncology nurse for nearly 20 years, needed a creative outlet and stumbled upon the joys of cider making. We are proud to be an independent, husband and wife, local business, where Emily is the Cider Maker, fermenting and producing new varieties as her creative juices inspire her. John manages the Tasting Room and develops sales and distribution relationships with restaurants, markets and breweries throughout Southern Idaho.

Ciderworks / Salt Spring Apple Company

Since 2011, we've been working to create an orchard like no other. An orchard of 365 heritage and connoisseur apple varieties perfectly suited to world-class cider. In 2017, we set out to build a small -- okay, tiny -- commercial cidery able to squeeze the very best out of that unparalleled selection of apples. Now we're ready to bring B.C.'s West Coast its first and only cidery dedicated to producing craft cider that's 100 per cent estate grown and 100 per cent certified organic. It takes time to make great estate grown cider, but we believe it's worth the wait.

Cockrell Cider

Serving as a hub for cider lovers and causal cider enjoyers alike, The Roost is our tasting room located in the center of Cockrell Cider Farm. With a rotating selection of eight ciders and beers, we have a little something for everyone. Sip a cider, take in the scenery, and be in good company at The Roost.

Double Mountain Brewery and Cidery Hood River

Established in 2007, Double Mountain stands by the belief of creating great beers and ciders for all to enjoy.

Double Mountain Brewery and Cidery Portland Taproom

Dragon’s head cider.

At Dragon’s Head Cider, we believe in producing high quality hard ciders with a traditional approach, which means you will never find us using apple juice concentrate, over sweetening our ciders, or adding other flavors to our ciders. We love the story that apples and pears can tell all by themselves, and so we keep it simple. Press high quality apples and pears, ferment the juice, put it in a bottle. We believe one of the keys to creating great cider is to have control over the entire process. For this reason, we do the pressing, fermentation, blending and bottling all right here on the farm. Wes and Laura Cherry moved to Vashon Island in 2010 with the dream of planting an orchard and starting a cidery. Today their orchard is full of cider apple and perry pear trees, and their award winning ciders are sold in Washington and Oregon, as well as direct to consumer in their tasting room, on their website, and through their cider club.

Dragon’s Head Cider Uptown Tasting Room

Draper girls cider company.

At Draper Girls Cider Company, owner Theresa Draper's vision of producing small-batch, hand-crafted ciders from the fruits grown and harvested on her farm began in 2011. She was selling a portion of the apple harvest to local hard cider makers and recognized there was a market for hard cider. It was a natural progression as she was already operating a successful sweet cider business. She believed she had something special to offer patrons, small- batch, hand-crafted ciders, produced with the fruits grown from her third-generation family farm. As a result, Draper Girls Cider Company was founded by Theresa and her three daughters. Today she runs an award-winning boutique cidery focused on quality, not quantity. This starts with heritage cider apples that we blend, press, and ferment in small batches to create a clean, crisp, delicious cider. A completely handcrafted cider that is truly farm-to-growler, our single varietals or many fruit blends are second to none! With over 50 rotating cider flavors, look for our seasonal limited batches like huckleberry and quince! Whether you love dry or medium sweet, we’ll have a glass or growler for anyone! Visit our tasting room located at the foot of Mt. Hood for a cider experience you won’t forget!

Empyrical Cider

Empyrical was founded by husband and wife Adam Wargacki and Elizabeth Lockhart, in partnership with Elizabeth's parents Burt and Diane Lockhart. Our ciders are refined by considered sips, edited and blended by consensus. The central leader of our endeavor, Adam is a chemist, orchardist, and award-winning winemaker. Together with his brother Matthew, Adam has participated in the design and planting of several new regional orchards as well as ongoing educational efforts, lectures and workshops in community horticulture. As creative director, Elizabeth curates the brand aesthetic and our "Empyrical Pomona" - a growing collection of pomological artwork and literature. Our empirical grail quest for the objectively superior cider began at our round table, and led us to the dooryard orchards of the Puget Sound lowlands and islands, nearly lost to the deep woods and the encroaching tangle of Seattle’s urban neighborhoods. For a decade we researched heirloom varieties by taste, text, and illustration - foraging from feral homesteads and the foxed pages of our 19th century horticultural library. Empyrical Orchard was thus planted in an historic style: not intensive, but intuitive. Double-spaced lines leave room to contemplate views of the Snohomish River Valley and Cascade Mountains, and vigorous roots promise a lofty canopy and generational abundance. In perpetual revision, the orchard has grown to seven acres of over 1,500 pome fruit trees. Peer-reviewed winemaking varietals of British and continental origin now flourish beside enigmatic seedlings and old American standards. Empyrical Orchard is a gathering place for the curious, a vessel fermenting enthusiasm for cider culture, a locus of imbued meaning and emergent terroir.

Fraser Valley Cider Company

It started with a dream to do something different, a love of classic cider and a mountain view on a crisp January day. We found our 12 acre farm in January 2014, picked out the site of our future cidery and made an offer. In 2015 a custom built cidery building went up and with the help of friends we planted an orchard of 1800 trees. With over 25 different varieties of english and french cider apples our aim is to grow the types of apples that make the highest quality cider. We opened our doors in 2016 and as the years progressed we’ve gathered a team of people, passionate about our cider and what we do here. Our staff craft cider using traditional methods in small batches from 100% pressed apples. They greet guests and share the joy in cider in our tasting room and celebrate our community with fabulous parties and music in the tent.

Gold Rush Cider

Apples are only the beginning. We turned a home-brew experiment into a family-run cider mill and tasting room, where the community can come together to enjoy craft cider, each other’s company, and celebrate the good in life! From Red Hot Cinnamon cider to seasonal favorites like Strawberry and Kiwi, our brewmaster Sid is always experimenting with exciting new flavors.

Golden Row Cider

Golden Row cider is made from nothing but apples from Mt. View’s row of 100-year-old apple trees. Each cider blend starts with a base of apples fresh-pressed on site in a small-craft cidery to achieve a balance of sweetness, tartness, and dryness that everyone loves. After fermentation, the cider is back-sweetened with more fresh-pressed juice. Along with having no extra sugar, Golden Row is naturally gluten free. Visitors to Mt. View can now enjoy samples of Golden Row at the cidery, take home growlers from the fruit stand, or order kegs for their special event, restaurant, or wedding.

High Country Cider

We are a small Mom and Pop operation. High Country Cider is located in the foothills of Rathdrum Mountain near the Coeur d’Alene & Post Falls area. We are a cottage industry where we provide small quantities of Quality Hard Cider and Non-Alcoholic Seltzer. Customers are offered wholesale and in-state shipping. There is no onsite tasting room, however products can be sold in person by appointment. Production is year-round and most of our fruit flavoring is local. We press our fruit in-house and produce Cider and Seltzer as the fruit ripens through the seasons. We utilize apples from local ancient apple trees. Some of our apples come from orchards that existed during the prohibition. These orchards were once used in making moonshine. After the fire of 1910, there were not a lot of trees like there are now. Orchards were placed in these foothills away from the law. Scenic Lodge on Rathdrum Mountain was used as an entertainment center. The well-to-do Railroad folks would be taken up to the lodge where there was illegal moonshine, bands and ladies of the night present. Our area is rich with a history of making alcohol. We are trying to keep that tradition alive. We encourage you to stop by and try our ciders!

Kristof Farms Cider

These ciders are from the Kristof Family farm, home to three generations of Kristofs over the last half-century. Their saga began with the family patriarch, a European war refugee who was welcomed to Oregon in 1952. The family settled on this farm in Yamhill, where the Orchard is presided over by the family matriarch and overseen by bears, eagles and a stern guard dog. Three generations of Kristofs have poured their souls into this project. In the 21st century, Kristof Farms converted from a cherry orchard -- when Americans stopped eating cherry pies -- into a cider apple orchard and vineyard. Nick and Sheryl were writing a book "Tightrope," about America's working class and sought to support higher value-added agriculture in the area. We hope that people around the world will find Kristof Farms cider refreshing, invigorating and as gloriously complex as the story of the Kristof farm.

Lost Giants was founded as a labor of love—of friendship, entrepreneurship, and a desire to contribute to Bellingham’s close-knit craft community—by Abraham Ebert and Brad Wilske. Ebert’s extensive background in fermentation science, brewing and production is now being leveraged to produce ciders that showcase the abundant agriculture of Washington State. The Lost Giants partners are focused on promoting a positive, fun and collaborative environment for employees and customers, while creating a quality product for their community of highly educated and enthusiastic craft beverage enthusiasts. Their extensive experience in production and operations management, technology and quality control—as well as an onsite laboratory—will ensure proper sanitation, product stability and quality in each batch. We are excited to be a part of the craft cider scene in Bellingham. We hope to bring the fun and innovative culture that we loved in the craft beer world to the local cider Industry.

Madrone Cider

Why not make a cider that employs the same methods that a fine wine does? And more specifically, a fine champagne? Using these ideas, Shaun crafted the first small batch of cider in the winter of 2017. Madrone Cider works with Bellevue Farms, located on the Northern end of San Juan Island, for their local hard cider apples. These apples are used for special blends and single varietal Hard Ciders. Outside of Bellevue Farms, Madrone exclusively sources their apples from Stemilt Growers in Wenatchee. Only fresh, natural fruits and ingredients are used during production, to preserve the purity of flavor. Over time Madrone Cider has grown significantly, with a local and regional following creating a steady flow of production. However, the growth does not change the goal. Cider should be appreciated for its acidity, depth of flavor, and food pairing capabilities.

McMenamins Edgefield

Using quality juices pressed from neighboring orchards in the Columbia River Gorge, we craft our ciders year-round at Edgefield Winery. The apples pressed off for our cider are primarily a blend of Red Delicious, Golden Delicious (added for color), Granny Smith (for acidity), and Fuji, Galas, and Honeycrisp (to increase sweetness). All of our ciders are lightly carbonated, just under 7% ABV and made with gluten-free ingredients. Freshly pressed apple juice arrives at the Edgefield Winery, where it is pumped into temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Employing cool fermentation to maintain fresh apple aromas, we ferment the cider until it is completely dry. A bit of fresh-pressed apple juice is then blended back in for a touch of sweetness and to balance the acidity. We keg the cider with some CO2 spritz and ship it off to all of our locations for you to enjoy!

Meriwether Cider

Cider has a very rich heritage in the United States, by the eighteenth century Americans in New England were brewing 300,000 gallons of cider a year but by the end of Prohibition, hard cider had almost vanished. Cider is the missing link between wine and beer. It's fizzy and refreshing like beer so you can put down a six-pack while fishing with your buddies, but with an aroma and mouth feel sophisticated enough to bring to your in-laws' swanky dinner party. We brew our cider from apples grown in the Northwest; it is naturally gluten-free, making it essentially guilt-free, right? All our cider is made with real apples with other pure fruit juices added, no artificial flavors or essences. Meriwether cider isn’t sweet enough to give you flashbacks from freshmen year of college, but just sweet enough to transport you to hot summer days or to champagne powder on your favorite slope. We’re brewing up many different kinds of ciders, including semi-sweet, semi-dry, blackberry, cherry, plum, ginger, apple pie, apricot, gin botanical, and hopped. Do you like beer? Great! You should try our hopped cider; it’s a delightful blend of cider and the same hops you taste in your favorite IPA without that pesky gluten messing with your insides. Feeling a bit under the weather? We're pretty sure our ginger cider will cure anything that ails you (not verified by any medical professional). We have enough fruit ciders to satisfy even the most fanatic fruit lover. Don’t like fruity beverages? We have something for you too, try our semi-dry cider. It's dry like wine with only a hint of sweetness and a satisfying fizz. No matter what drinks you prefer you should give cider a try, it’s really delicious, trust us, we've guzzled enough of it to call ourselves experts.

Snowbird Farm & Cidery

Inhabitants of the far north are very familiar with the migration of snowbirds. They arrive eagerly each spring and fly south before the frigid winter arrives. After living in Fairbanks, Alaska for over thirty years, we decided to imitate the snowbirds. Years of experimenting with cider-making led to a dream of opening our own cidery. Snowbird Farm & Cidery is the culmination of this dream. Snowbird Farm & Cidery is Grays Harbor's first cidery, where we produce quality craft hard cider. Originally Glenngarry Dairy Farm, this farmstead has been a part of the community for over one hundred years and maintains the original house, barn and fields. The quaint, recently restored dairy barn provides ambiance to your experience and is the perfect backdrop while sipping delicious cider. We are a family-friendly establishment, and we invite you to bring a picnic and enjoy our property while you sample our ciders. We offer ciders by the glass, flights, and growlers. Additionally, the farm produces fresh vegetables and herbs, which can be found in our farm stand. Sheep, goats, and chicks are also raised and sold on the property.

Snowdrift Cider

We craft our ciders from great cider apples that we grow on our orchard in sunny East Wenatchee, WA. When ripened to perfection, we pick these apples and craft them with the utmost care into fine cider blends, resulting in rich ciders full of delicious complexity. Sound delicious? Check them out!

We pride ourselves in producing cider of the utmost quality, having a full bodied aroma, and refreshing taste, to be enjoyed with your kith and kin. We are a tight-knit crew, passionate about cider, and we can't wait to welcome you to the family. Tasting Room Opens Spring 2023.

Viola Orchards

Cider making with intention. Viola Orchards. Handcrafted, American heritage, branch to bottle cider in Estacada, Oregon. Our unique flavor profile consists of american cider, crab, culinary, heirloom, english & french cider apples. Grown, hand picked, pressed and fermented in the Willamette Valley, Oregon.

Wards Hard Cider

Wards Apple Cider is homegrown, handpicked and crafted on our apple orchard in the sunny Okanagan Valley. For five generations our family has been growing premium apples and developing a strong cider tradition. Wards Hard Cider is situated on a fifth generation family orchard that was settled by Great Grandad Ward in 1918. Great-grandfather George Washington Ward followed in his father’s adventurous footsteps and left England’s shores for America – but, instead of the United States, he came to Canada and began growing apples in the Okanagan Valley. Remaining true to his roots, he created an old English style cider – “dry, not too sweet” (just the way he liked it). And, that’s exactly what you will get at Wards Hard Cider. Wards packinghouse was built by great-grandfather Ward in 1922, and has transformed into a cidery and winery – fully equipped with a tasting room! Wards Cider is made from 100 percent tree-ripened, handpicked cider specific apples from our orchards in the sunny Okanagan Valley. It is the perfect all natural and gluten-free alternative to beer, and remains true to the old family recipe of back-to-basics and wholesome.

Westcott Bay Traditional Cider

Only in America is cider called hard cider. In the British Isles it is cider, in France, cidre and in Spain, sidre. Unique among small Washington wineries, Westcott Bay Cider produces and bottles crisp, refreshing ciders with a complexity and finish provided by using traditional cider apples grown in our San Juan Island orchard. These are vintage apples with wonderful names like Kingston Black, Yarlington Mill, Dabinett and Sweet Coppin. Cider making is a blender's art using different apples from the orchard to blend for spiciness and astringency. Westcott Bay ciders are made with 100% fresh pressed apple juice which runs brown with tannin and clears to a brilliant amber-gold as the juice gently ferments and mellows. Serve our cider slightly chilled with cheese, fruit, seafood and light meals, or enjoy as a social drink with friends. You can purchase our ciders and fine distilled products locally at many San Juan Island markets and at Westcott Bay Cider/San Juan Island Distillery on Anderson Lane, San Juan Island. We welcome visitors, with sales and tastings on Saturdays 1-4 pm. For other visits please call ahead.

Western Cider Company

Western Cider is Missoula, Montana's first cidery. Our venture into cider started in 2010 when Michael Billingsley was infected by an obsession with apples. He planted 2,500 cider apple trees in the Bitterroot Valley – just south of Missoula. He continued to plant hundreds of trees every year since - on his orchard and orchards throughout the valley. Now, he is using those apples, as well as apples from throughout Western Montana and the Northwest, to produce a unique line of ciders. As a company, Western Cider aspires to create an institution of great cider, good times and a life worth living in this far-flung region of the American West.

Wildcat Creek Cider

At Wildcat Creek Cider, we celebrate the agricultural legacy of Grays Harbor County. Our small-batch ciders are made from hand-picked apples sourced from neighbors in and around the county. A number of our ciders are even personalized to the property where the apples were sourced.

Working Hands Fermentation

Years ago, we set out to find a location to create our unique brand of complex Old-World ciders and craft beer blended with easy-going Northwest fun. Our mission is to share a gathering place for enjoying fine fermented beverages while deepening connection to the community. Our beautifully-crafted, neighborhood taproom, located in Hood River, is like a living room away from home where you can sip local beer and cider while connecting with community and friends.

Yonder Cider

Cidermaking is a playground of the pretty and the ugly, the bitter and the sweet: It’s never a one-note song when done well. Our apples reflect the striking, complex terroir of Washington’s apple country — from juicy dessert fruit to biting, spirited cider varieties. Simply put, apples contain contradictions. And it’s when we follow their every wild and quiet possibility, and seek out juxtapositions of flavor, that we find our most delicious end result

The Cider Farm

04

A perfect day out for all the family

Set in 90 acres of orchards, Sheppy's Cider Farm caters for all the family. At its heart stands a beautiful cider mill which has been sympathetically restored to what is now the House of Cider. Where once you would have found tonnes of apples, now you will find an award-winning Farm Shop, Deli, Butchery, Café, Restaurant and bar selling a variety of local specialities. Should you want to take in some fresh air, we have signed walks around the orchards which will take you past the children's play ground, duck pond and of course the cider production area.

Collection: Cider Farm Tasting Tours

Book an Orchard and Cider Tour

Experience the magic of the orchard .  Learn about the important role of bees in pollinating the apple blossom and have an opportunity to commune with nature in this stunningly beautiful orchard.

Explore some of the history and folklore behind cider and apple orchards.  Participate in the ancient orchard tradition of wassailling - where you make a huge, big NOISE to chase away any 'baddies' that might affect the trees and then invite in all the good spirits!

Discover how the apples grow, harvested and pressed.

Then learn how we make our ciders , with a tour of the apple bay.   We currently use an old belt press that Oliver and our son Dante renovated.  It's very efficient.                      As back up, we have a hand built a very large hydraulic press, which has two 58 tonne rams and uses a traditional rack and cloth method.  We are also renovating an antique twin screw press dating back to 1863, the original apple press used on this farm.   Then an explanation of how the cider is made and a peek into the very up to date Cider Barn.

You're introduced to the beneficial properties of naturally fermented apple cider vinegar.  You even get to taste it!!

We finish with a guided tasting of our award-winning artisan ciders .  If the weather allows, we sit out in the sunshine in the Sculpture Garden, otherwise cosily indoors in the Tasting Room and shop.

Located near Bridport, Dorset, we run our Cider Farm tours on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 11.00am

For £15.00, not only do you get a Cider Farm tour, but also a guided Cider tasting and a stroll through the beautiful orchards and organic farm. You will learn more about how we make our delicious craft ciders right from our cider masters who are happy to answer your questions.
