classroom tours 2022

It’s time for a new school year (and hopefully a more normal year!)! I’m excited about the adventure that awaits and I’m excited to show you our classroom. We are following all of our district guidelines as they are now. Of course, everything is subject to change so we’re going to be flexible and adapt as necessary. We are allowed to use shared supplies, our carpets, and centers. We are encouraging social distancing as much as possible and I will continue to use our enhanced cleaning procedures from last year. There is a video tour at the end of the post and I highly encourage to watch and listen as I explain things in depth in the video!

The Classroom

The biggest change in our classroom this year is the return of the rugs and flexible seating. We have created plenty of space so we can spread out when we work. When we gather for the whole group, we will utilize the oval carpet and round carpet so we are not sitting as close together. This year we kept our blue/green/orange color scheme but we added new borders from The Superhero Teacher! The room is once again designed so the students own as much of the space as possible!

Whole Group Area

This is where we have our morning meetings, do our mini-lessons, end the day with dance parties and learn and play! The alphabet and number line are available in our store and are linked at the end of this post. The easel is moved to the carpet when we are doing whole group lessons. When it’s not in use, the easel is moved out of the way to open up more space for us to work! The furniture in our room is on wheels so it can be easily moved to allow for much more open space for any activity or game we might want to play! I love the flexibility of our classroom!

Small Group Area

The big change to our small group area is that we removed our beloved mustache rug. We have also kept this area as small as possible so the kids have as much of the room as possible. We have a detailed post about this small group area linked at the end of this post. The stools are from Amazon and can be found HERE !

Calm Down Area And Seating Areas

The big orange chair is SOOOO comfy that it’s dangerous. IF you sit down it, you’ll never get up. Seriously ya’ll. I sit there and it makes me so sleepy and1 cozy. But it makes the PERFECT calm down area for the kids. The blue bag is a calm down kit from Kitful And Co . I LOVE these kits. The bag is filled with fidgets and calm down toys and cards for helping kids talk about their feelings! These are a must have for the classroom (and home if you have kids!) The other pic shows off some of the seating areas we offer and our sensory bin and light box!

Supplies And Storage

Community supplies are returning! You’ll notice the hand sanitizer jug. They will santize their hands before using supplies! The supplies will be sanitized daily with the steam sanitizer and Lysol throughout the day! We also got a new speaker system called a FrontRow Juno! It was funded by Reese Witherspoon through Donor’s Choose!

classroom tours 2022

These are the cabinets in our room. This is where we store our art supplies, plates, napkins, utensils and cleaning supplies! These cabinets got a major purge a few weeks ago and let me tell you, I’m so glad I did it! So much more organized and so much more space. The clear containers are shoe boxes from The Container Store!

classroom tours 2022

With so many cleaning supplies and PPE, I needed a way to store them and have them easily accessible! I saw this idea on Instagram (ya’ll, if you know who posted this please tell me so I can give them all the credit for this brilliant idea!)! These are recycling bins from The Container Store!

classroom tours 2022

The classroom library is the first thing you see when you enter the classroom! It’s organized in a kid and teacher friendly way to it’s usable and accessible to everyone! There is a detailed post linked at the end of this post on how we organize the books!

classroom tours 2022

This is the closet in our classroom! This also got a major purge this year. If I didn’t touch it for a year or so it went bye bye. Now there’s so much more space and I love it! But it won’t stay this clean for long! hehe

Here is a video tour of the classroom that shows all areas of the classroom and explains the room and how everything is used!

Classroom Reveal 2022-2023

The 2022-2023 school year officially begins for me on Wednesday, so how about a quick classroom tour?

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

I want to start off by saying that 75% of my classroom is made up of personal items that I have collected, purchased or had donated.  After 17 years in education, you find ways to get the things you really want in your classroom without buying it all at one time.  So, new teachers, don’t compare. Remember that it has taken me a long time to get to this point, and I’ve also had many items donated to my room as well.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

This is a quick view of the front of my classroom.  When this picture was taken, the picnic table had not yet arrived.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

This is a view of the back of the classroom.  Most of the classroom is exactly the same as it was last year.  I have the exact same shelves, tables, etc.  I just rearranged and swapped out boards as well as added a few decorations that really make the room cozier.  I did add a few new elements to our room:  a new calm down corner, Target tables with foot stools, and a picnic table.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

After much debate and tons of searching, I found this table and splurged.  It is the perfect size for first graders and can hold up to four students.  During summer school I did have six students try it to sit there, but it was way too small for that many.  They all wanted a turn to sit here and loved that it was their perfect size.  Click here to purchase from Amazon.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

The calm down corner is really a bed canopy draped over my filing cabinets. I added a small cushion in the middle to make the spot comfy.  This is a special place in our classroom for de-escalating, taking a break, or cooling down when strong emotions are beginning to emerge. Since COVID and safety protocols have changed I moved this important space into our rooms.  The canopy allows students to feel safe.  I placed this near my small group table so I can be close by if needed, but it is also placed at the back of the room so that it reduces distractions and negative attention seeking behaviors.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

Our friends at Hand2Mind sent us several goodies that are now available at Target ,including these Sensory Fidget Tubes .  These are perfect for our calm down corner and will be sure to keep disruptions to a minimum, since they can be flipped and turned over without making noises.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

Around our room I added lots of items from the Teacher Created Resources “Everyone is Welcome” line.  The colors match what I already have in my room, and are very calm and muted.  I want my classroom to be welcoming, but also calming; otherwise so much clutter can cause added stress or overstimulation for students.  I try to only display the necessities, and reduce as much clutter or unnecessary decorations as possible.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

I used their words of affirmations to go around our sink mirror.  The boys and girls love checking out wiggly teeth here, as well as their hair.  Click here for the link to these message cards.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

I also put up a welcome banne r, number line and inspirational messages.  We found having the number line up on the wall during summer school was very helpful for students to refer back to as we counted or worked on number order.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

I also used their job chart because we all know how hard it is to keep track of line leader and other classroom jobs.  I love having as many jobs as possible to help make sure everyone takes ownership of our classroom.  Another job I added this year, after talking with a fabulous kindergarten teacher, was sweepers or broom helpers at the end of the day.  She mentioned the kids loved sweeping the floors each day and what an awesome job they did.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

I grabbed this broom set from Amazon and, of course, the summer school students loved it when it was their turn to sweep and hold the dust pan.  Who knew?!?

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

Along with a job chart, I also added a flexible seating chart as well.  This will help us as we are choosing our learning spots and help reduce confusion as to where everyone is sitting.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

I anticipate that the picnic table will be very popular this year.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

I also think the students will love this work space as well.  The teal tables were on clearance at Target this summer for $10 each and the “foot stools” were from Dollar Tree/Family Dollar for $5 each.  Pretty awesome flexible seating options for around $30 total!

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

Finally, my back bulletin boards needed a little sprucing as well.  I made the word wall so I can include content related words (not “snap” or “sight” words).  We will also display our names here as well.

Classroom reveal! Welcome to my first grade classroom.

One of my biggest summer projects was creating this sound wall.  I wanted something that matched my classroom, but more importantly, served as a working and a usable board in our classroom.  You can see more about this display by clicking here.

I’m looking forward to meeting 20+ new students on Friday!  Let the new school year begin!!!

Hey, I'm Meghan!

Virtual Tours Are Taking Off. Here’s How to Integrate Them Into Your Teaching

Educator James Fester wrote this post.

It is said that every place tells one story better than any other place.

As a volunteer educator at Angel Island State Park in San Francisco, I came to appreciate this more deeply. I was lucky to have such an excellent teaching environment. The park, which covers an island in the middle of San Francisco Bay, tells a multilayered story. It has been the site of Indigenous settlements, Civil War fortifications, World War II embarkation facilities, and the U.S.’s main West Coast immigration station from 1910 to 1940. The visitors who participated in my program were surrounded by an environment full of resources that I could leverage to illustrate my points and that they could explore to fulfill their own curiosity. I’d always wished I could duplicate in my classroom the kind of learning that took place in the park.

Fortunately, California State Parks developed the PORTS Home Learning Programs , which provide distance learning to students across the state. The creation of a virtual tour took this concept a step further, allowing students to explore parts of Angel Island on their own.

These resources weren’t unique to Angel Island, with many other parks and museums creating their own virtual experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic for learners of all sorts to use. Educational sites and organizations that previously catered to visiting student groups were forced to close down, but like classroom educators, they didn’t give up. Rather, they began rapidly adapting to distance learning, and the result was an explosion in virtual tours.

As a park volunteer, I saw this occur firsthand. The same pivoting that occurred in thousands of classrooms also happened at parks, zoos, museums, and aquariums across the United States, and the result was a rapid increase in interactive and virtual experiences that engaged students and promoted deeper thinking.

These kinds of resources aren’t backed up just by anecdotal evidence. Multiple studies have shown that the inclusion of virtual tours and trips in curriculum increases reading comprehension , helps promote global awareness among isolated or rural populations , and can be used to effectively engage and reduce dropout rates for at-risk populations of students .

However, even the fanciest website, with all sorts of interactive buttons, isn’t automatically a valuable learning experience. It is just a resource unless you pair it with a method. The tour needs to be supported by a framework that encourages the kinds of exploratory activities that give learners the opportunity to find and construct their own answers.

Creating activities that both incorporate virtual exploration and connect to the National Geographic Learning Framework can be done in a lot of different ways. Here are a few:

  • Similar to exploring a physical environment, exploring a virtual environment requires observation. For example, students learning about differences between how people live today and how people lived long ago might take this 3D tour of Hampton National Historic Site. They could record their observations in a Venn diagram or share them during an all-class discussion.
  • Students can be given a question or inquiry challenge, then can collaborate in pairs or small groups, discussing what they are learning as they navigate through an experience. For example, students can use this interactive tour of Carlsbad Caverns to learn about the site’s complex cave ecosystems, then get into small groups to construct annotated diagrams of ecosystem features based on what they learned.
  • Virtual tours help promote awareness of distant cultural resources and natural wonders. Without virtual tours, archeological marvels like Mesa Verde National Park were inaccessible to millions and millions of people. Now, through platforms like YouVisit , global audiences can experience this place and hopefully turn that awareness into empathy for its protection and preservation.
  • When virtual exploration is structured along inquiry-based lines, student curiosity becomes the driver, allowing for choice and interest to guide learning. Using a broad, open-ended question like “How do monuments communicate meaning?” and allowing students choice as they explore memorials and monuments helps them learn how sculpture and symbolism convey meaning. 3D models of locations like the Lincoln Memorial and Mount Rushmore help students stay engaged and investigate more deeply.

These great resources will get you started teaching with virtual tours:

  • Google Arts & Culture has an extensive collection of resources you can use to create immersive virtual experiences for students interested in exploring the natural and cultural wonders preserved by the National Park Service!
  • CyArk is a fantastic site that includes amazing virtual tours that are navigable and narrated, as well as terrific 3D models that are manipulable. They also curate great collections, like this collection focusing on social justice and equal rights .
  • The National Park Service provides a multitude of options for exploring virtually. Visit their website for a selection of virtual tours and multimedia resources, or check out the Virtual Passport Cancellation activities offered by a nonprofit partner of the park service.
  • Finally, my COVID-19 Remote Learning Emergency Fund project, funded by the National Geographic Society, allowed me to create resources that can be used by any teacher to develop their own Google-powered virtual tours and explorations! I wanted to create exemplary virtual tours that could be used either on their own or by teachers interested in making their own virtual tours. Check out my webpage to learn more about how to build your own virtual interpretive tours!

Teacher Appreciation Week 2022

classroom tours 2022

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week again, and we want to give educators everywhere a huge shout-out: THANK YOU!

Teachers are genuinely incredible, and they’ve proven that again and again over the past three years as we continue to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. Hopefully, you are doing something to thank the incredible teachers in your life. Now more than ever, they deserve some extra appreciation.

At NationsClassroom, we are deeply thankful for all the teachers who work hard every day to keep educating and inspiring the next generation. Whether you travel with your students or not, we know that you’re making a life-changing impact on your students’ lives. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

We’ve compiled all of our content with free teacher resources here, so they’re easy to find in the spirit of the season. So whether you’re looking for virtual field trips, free printables, or some classroom resources, these highlights will give you content to keep your kids engaged in the classroom.

Colonial Virginia

Four museums in Virginia released free teacher resources after the Covid-19 Shelter-In-Place order had them close their doors. These are great history and social studies resources from Jamestown, Yorktown, The American Civil War Museum, and St. John’s Church. You’ll also find some fun, interactive games on the Jamestown and Yorktown website for students to play. Even though these locations have reopened, the resources are still available online for your students to enjoy.

National Constitution Center – Philadelphia

The National Constitution Center has MANY online resources for teachers. This blog post focuses on their free lesson plans, videos, and virtual tours. In addition, the staff of the National Constitution Center has created a library of educational videos for students and teachers to use in the classroom. They’ve also preserved past exhibits so students can virtually tour them today!

The Interactive Constitution tool is a fantastic resource for students and teachers if you’re studying civics, government, or American history. The online guide breaks the historic document down into parts that are easier to digest and includes interpretations of the harder-to-read sections.

Smithsonian Museums – Washington, D.C.

Many Smithsonian Museums offer interactive online options for virtual visits and lesson plans. In a time of asynchronous learning, having relevant online content to share with your students is a MUST. With these Smithsonian virtual field trips, your students will be able to experience museums without having to leave the classroom.

The Tenement Museum – New York City

Help your students face the uncertain future with lesson plans from the Tenement Museum in New York City. Whether you’re studying the history of contagious diseases or you want to play an interactive game where students can experience life as an immigrant at the turn of the twentieth century, there are some fantastic resources offered by one of New York’s most important museums.

Science & STEM

Yellowstone & grand teton.

The great outdoors, wide-open spaces, and experiential learning. School trips to America’s National Parks offer more than you can imagine for teachers and students alike. But, if you can’t visit the National Parks with your students this year, you can still visit virtually! Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks offer great lesson plans and virtual tours for housebound adventurers.

Capers Island – Charleston

Charleston is also a fantastic destination for school trips focused on science and STEM. If you’re looking for a field trip to teach your students about ecology, wildlife conservation, and environmental science, the Barrier Island Eco Tour would fit perfectly in your itinerary.

Intrepid Museum – New York City

The Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum Complex “is dedicated to the exhibition and interpretation of history, science and service as related to its home aboard the aircraft carrier Intrepid, a National Historic Landmark.” Here are our favorite resources from The Intrepid that you can use with your students!

The MET – New York City

Unless you’re an avid watcher of Bob Ross, you probably don’t think about teaching art from the comfort of your own home, especially when there is already so much content to cover during the day. That’s why we love the MET Museum in NYC . They have released incredible cross-curricular lesson plans that allow you to integrate the arts into any classroom.

Thank you teachers, for everything you do! We hope these resources spark inspiration in your students. When you’re ready to start planning your next school trip, contact one of our Student Travel Consultants to learn more about our School Trip Destinations .

The Future of Educational Travel

The travel industry has been ground to a halt by the global pandemic and thousands of educational tours have been forced to be shelved.  however, despite the doom-mongering headlines and challenges- there are many reasons to be optimistic that this type of travel will soon be possible. this global shut-down has only served to reaffirm our belief in the power of educational travel and we expect 2022 to be the start of a big recovery for the sector. hopefully the following will inspire you to start planning for your 2022 school trips, broadening horizons.

In the words of Saint Augustine “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” This ethos guides our philosophy around providing transformative travel experiences. This year has closed borders, shut down opportunities and meant that young people have not been able to get out into the world. The online world may be rich but it lacks the magic of the real world. There’s nothing quite like experiencing something first-hand: the assault on the senses on entering a new place or the visual experience of seeing an incredible view, for the first time.

On our tours, we try and take students out of their comfort zone and try and create as many hands-on experiences as possible. Whether that’s a monastery experience in the mountains of Korea , a sushi-making class in Japan or watching a political debate in Paris – the key is that students are out there, doing things. They’re seeing, experiencing the world and this will enable them to form their own opinions and develop new ideas.

CAS trip to Japan

Our trips are a very small part of an increasingly globalised world. Perhaps we have all taken for granted the ease with which we can travel to foreign lands and there’s nothing like a closed border to make one realise the allure of what’s behind it. Travel can help see behind stereotypes. Europe may occasionally take a battering in our press but wandering the streets of Rome or trying padel tennis in Malaga will help students realise the magic of the continent. As for Asia, meeting the founders of start-up tech companies in China or hearing from a North Korean defector can give a glimpse of another world.

Subject-specific learning

This pandemic has shown the impressive work of the teaching profession in adapting to new situations. Young people have still had some form of education despite school closures but they have been denied both face to face interactions and the chance to learn outside the classroom. We believe that there’s lessons to be learnt through travel and we have a whole series of subject-specific tours. For STEM students- visiting Shanghai’s Maglev (bullet train) exhibition or history students stepping foot on the battlefields of Western Europe is an education in itself. There’s a lot of ground to be made up and lessons that went unlearnt in the last year. Hopefully, 2022- will be a chance for students to both delve deeper into subjects and to explore new places. We have itineraries for a whole range of subjects that can help unlock the curriculum and show it’s applied to real life and future careers.

Local impact

Travel is a two-way street- the impact of seeing the Great Wall of China or Mt Fuji may be striking for the visitor but there’s also a knock-on effect for those who are welcoming you. We have arranged hundreds of school exchanges across different countries. These are always inspiring occasions and enable young people to gain an understanding of one another. Normally, we arrange a few joint lessons and a welcome ceremony. We’ve found these to both be enriching for the visiting school but also to pique the interest of the host school. These occasions always leave both sides with a positive and more informed view of a new culture and can inspire students to be more open to different cultures.

Educational travel is not only enriching and good for learning – it’s also great fun. School trips in 2022 will be formative for young people. They can cement friendships, provide life-long stories and offer something different to the day to day. After the year, we’ve all had – new experiences and fun times are certainly in order. Whilst the world- may be on pause- there is hope and we believe educational travel will be back

Fancy organising some 2022 school trips with us? You can see all our itineraries on our home page . What’s more, we don’t just show you these awesome places, we take you behind-the-scenes and get your students chatting to experts and partaking in workshops. We fully customise our itineraries to your school’s curriculum. Email us at [email protected] or speak to a member of our specialist team through the chat box!

Classroom Tour 2022

Classroom Tour 2022

This is the second year I have been in this room so it is very similar to last year's tour. A key change I made though was painting the green bricks and a lot of the brown paneling. Click here to see last years tour.

classroom tours 2022

Let's start with the student entry. I have our  Class Rules  above the door. We came up with these together on the first day of school (and they just happen to be the same as the rules I use every year hehe). Under that, I have the  Colour Pencil Display .

classroom tours 2022

This is the wall to the right.

classroom tours 2022

There is a built in desk in the room which I use as a place to put sheets and items during the day. I store all my stationery, stamps etc on the shelf about but I don't sit ever sit and work at this desk. The letters above the desk I got from TYPO and decorated with washi tape. The 'A' at the start I made as a class project out of paper mache a few years ago.

classroom tours 2022

This display board has our current reward system- our jelly bean jar! Students are working towards whole class goals.  They have an individual chart and when they fill up a row, they get to put a jelly bean up. When they fill up their whole chart they also get an individual reward.

classroom tours 2022

Through this door is a small store room. I love having a sink in my classroom!  All drawers have my  Rainbow Labels  which are a freebie in my store!

classroom tours 2022

Next to the door is my  Birthday Balloon Display  and above that is my Write Any Numbers Display.

classroom tours 2022

The back wall features a large pin up board that I have covered in purple table cloth material (cheaper and lighter than using fabric and longer lasting than paper). We are slowly filling it up with student work.  At the top, you can see my  subject banners .

classroom tours 2022

This is a close up of my  Writing Goals Chart  (another freebie on my site). I add student names on little cards to show which goal they are working on.

classroom tours 2022

Flipping around again, you can see the back entryway to my classroom that goes through to our prep area and another classroom in the left side of this image. The double doors in this picture go through to another classroom. Not a great place to have a door to their room (they also have an external door), but I am glad we were able to convince our last principal to build a wall between the classrooms. Prior to these walls it was open with moveable bulletin boards being used to divide the rooms.

classroom tours 2022

I have The Secret Stories which is an amazing approach to teaching students phonics. It was developed in America, but works well with any phonics program your school runs. Basically, each sound has a story to go with it that makes it fun and easy for students to remember the sounds.

classroom tours 2022

I also have our class library on one side.

classroom tours 2022

Following around from that, we have my group work table and mat area.

classroom tours 2022

I use the u-shape table for working with small groups and one-on-one. It's also where I spend my prep time but I like to keep it empty to maintain function.

classroom tours 2022

My mat area has a moveable whiteboard and sit spots to mark out where students are able to sit. It can be hard to make this area work right due to the location of the T.V. so I often change this up during the year.

classroom tours 2022

That brings up back around to the student entrance.

classroom tours 2022

To the right of the entrance is a small off shoot area. I use this for storing my resources for maths, English etc. I also have the traditional teacher desk back here that I don't use.

classroom tours 2022

My standing desk is also located back here and is currently being used to store our home readers.

classroom tours 2022

On the students' desks, you will notice their name tags are a range of colours. This is because students pick the colour for their name tag on the first day of school, and they then add their own name and decorate. This helps to make them feel like they belong in our room.

I love the change in my classroom from last year to this year. Having a few more white walls just makes the whole room feel brighter and more open. There are a few colourful pops to keep it engaging but not overwhelming.

I hope you enjoyed coming on the tour with me!

Sheena

Bringing Nature Indoors

School work completed by students participating in the Trout in the Classroom program

Trout… in a classroom? It may sound a bit odd at first, but Wolf Creek NFH is helping to bring nature into classrooms across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery partners with Trout Unlimited chapters in Kentucky to offer students of all ages a chance to raise trout in a classroom environment for release into nearby streams. The hands-on experience of caring for the fish fosters a conservation ethic in the students, and the act of releasing the fish creates a connection between what a species needs to survive and the health of the environment.

So how does Trout in the Classroom (TIC) actually work? Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery provides eggs, feed and technical advice to participating teachers.  The equipment is provided by both the Louisville and Bluegrass Chapters of Trout Unlimited who sponsor the TIC program. Classroom teachers set up their aquariums, which must include a chiller for the cold water necessary for trout rearing and the filters and pumps to create the bio-system in the tank. Once this is set up and ready, representatives from Trout Unlimited will coordinate with Wolf Creek NFH when an egg shipment is received to transfer approximately 250 eggs to each participating classroom. The necessary amounts and sizes of feed are also measured out, bagged and are sent to the classrooms, along with feeding instructions.  Once in the classroom, teachers and students care for the fish and watch them grow from the small sac fry stage until they are fingerlings and ready for release in a nearby trout stream.

How do teachers make TIC relevant to classroom curriculum? Elementary students can focus on caring, growth, life cycles and the seasons. Older students can explore water chemistry, the  nitrogen cycle, natural resource management, and watershed geology and ecology. Trout Unlimited offers a lesson plan library on their Trout in the Classroom website.

For the 2021-2022 school year, Wolf Creek NFH has provided eggs for 14 classrooms, most of them in urban areas. Schools in both Louisville and Lexington have classrooms that are participating in the program. TIC provides a rich, firsthand learning experience that some students in urban areas may never be exposed to otherwise. Wolf Creek NFH is proud to partner with Trout Unlimited in Kentucky to provide these learning opportunities. Pre-Covid, we annually had @24 schools participate in the program.

How To Get Ed Sheeran Tickets In 2024

If Sheerios want to see Ed Sheeran live this year, they won’t have to travel all the way to the castle on the hill. The 33-year-old English singer kicked off his +–=÷× tour (also known as the Mathematics tour) in Dublin, Ireland all the way back in April 2022 and he’ll finally end its run in September 2024. There are three cities left for Sheeran to hit in the United States before he visits Europe and South America. Here’s everything we know about how to get Ed Sheeran tickets before the tour ends.

Ed Sheeran is hitting the road again for his "Mathematics" tour, and we've got the details on how to ... [+] get tickets.

The 10 Best Body Oils That Hydrate, Nourish And Soften Skin

Hoka vs. brooks running shoes: what brand is right for you, where to buy tickets to the “+–=÷×” tour.

You might usually turn to Ticketmaster for concert tickets, but that’s not the best source for tickets to Sheeran’s shows. For one thing, his entire series of show dates isn’t offered on this platform, and some of his dates that are offered on TicketMaster are totally sold out. Here are your options:

  • Ticket reseller StubHub has seats for shows like the fast-approaching Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. There, prices start at a little over $200.
  • SeatGeek also has tickets to some U.S. shows, the cheapest going for just under $200.
  • Both StubHub and SeatGeek have tickets to many of Sheeran’s international concerts as well.
  • Many of Sheeran’s shows take place at music festivals that often sell tickets directly on their websites. There are often different options, such as a day pass or a 3-day VIP package. For example, the Boston Calling Musical Festival , where Sheeran will play on May 24, currently has eight ticket options still available, with prices ranging from $194 to nearly $3,000.
  • Meanwhile, the BottleRock Napa Valley festival only has single-day general admission tickets left, going for $233 apiece; the four other ticketing options are sold out.

When Do Ed Sheeran Tickets Go On Sale?

Tickets are on sale now and some of the shows—including July 12 in Poland, July 27 in the Czech Republic, and August 3 in Lithuania—have already sold out. Check out reseller sites like StubHub and SeetGeek to try to snag tickets to sold-out shows.

How Much Are Ed Sheeran Tickets?

Sheeran’s three American concerts start around $200 a ticket. For the international stops on his tour, ticket prices vary and use different currencies, based on location. For the Lucca Summer Festival in Italy, there are three different ticket options, ranging from €78 ($83) to €130 ($138). Other festivals have just one ticket option, such as Euro Fan Fest , which starts pricing at €69 ($73).

The cost can also vary depending on whether you buy a standing-only ticket or a seated one. For the Hipodrome show in Croatia , you can stand for €90 ($96) or sit starting at €100 ($106).

Some of Sheeran’s concert tickets are for sale in currencies besides the EUR or USD, including the Stavernfestivalen in Norway. Tickets on the Stavern festival’s website start at 190 NOK, which is the equivalent of about $17. Meanwhile, tickets to the Polsat Plus Arena in Poland cost 344 PLN, or $84. Prices for Sheeran’s Puskas Arena show in Hungary begin at 24,900 HUF, equating to $67.

Of course, currency rates change often, so make sure to check them before you buy your ticket to avoid any unwanted surprises. A good place to do that is using a Euros to Dollar converter or, for other European currency, a converter with rates for over 200 countries.

2024 Zurich Classic odds, picks, predictions: Golf expert fading Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry at TPC Louisiana

Sia nejad reveals his zurich classic 2024 picks, props, and sleepers for this week's pga tour event at tpc louisiana.

rory-mcilroy-usatsi.jpg

Nick Hardy and Davis Riley look to successfully defend their crown when they compete in the 2024 Zurich Classic, which begins Thursday at TPC Louisiana. After teaming up with different partners in 2022, Hardy and Riley got together for the event last year and took home the title as they set a tournament record with a 30-under par performance to finish two strokes ahead of the Canadian duo of Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin. It was the second straight top-five finish in the event for Riley, who tied for fourth with Will Zalatoris as his teammate two years ago.

Hardy and Riley are 80-1 longshots to repeat, while 2022 champions Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele are 5-1 favorites in the latest 2024 Zurich Classic odds. Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry are listed at 8-1, Zalatoris and Sahith Theegala are 11-1 and Collin Morikawa and Kurt Kitayama are 16-1. Tom Hoge and Maverick McNealy, along with siblings Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick, round out the top choices at 25-1. Before locking in any 2024 Zurich Classic picks, make sure you see the PGA Tour predictions and best bets from golf betting and fantasy expert Sia Nejad .

Nejad specializes in betting and DFS in golf, among other sports. He's had incredible success in the outright and first-round leader markets, as well as in betting head-to-head matchups. He also has been solid with his head-to-head matchups since last year's Charles Schwab Challenge, going 40-27-3 and returning 9.14 units over that span. That's a $914 profit for $100 bettors since May 2023.

Nejad also nailed 75-1 longshot Wyndham Clark as the outright winner at the Wells Fargo Championship. In 2023, SportsLine debuted The Early Wedge, and in the first three months of the show, he hit two first-round leaders and three outright winners.

Now, Nejad has focused his attention on the 2024 Zurich Classic field and has locked in his best bets, top sleepers and favorites to avoid. See who they are at SportsLine .

Top 2024 Zurich Classic expert picks

One surprise: Nejad is fading the team of Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, even though they are among the favorites at +800. After recording 13 top-10 finishes, which included two victories and a pair of runner-ups in 18 events last season, McIlroy has posted just one over eight tournaments thus far in 2024. That came earlier this month when the 34-year-old was third at the Valero Texas Open. Since then, McIlroy has reverted back to the dismal form with which he began the year, as he tied for 22nd at the Masters and 33rd at the RBC Heritage last weekend. The No. 2 ranked player in the world was no better than 21st in his first four events before finishing 19th at the Players Championship.

Considering his compatriot's struggles, Lowry could feel more pressure than usual will be thrust upon him. However, the 37-year-old hasn't had much more success this season either, with just two top-10 finishes in eight events. Lowry, who hasn't posted a victory on the PGA Tour since winning the Open Championship in 2019, tied for fourth in the Cognizant Classic in early March and followed with a third-place performance in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Since then, he has tied for 19th, 43rd and 64th in three outings.

However, Nejad is high on the chances of Will Zalatoris and Sahith Theegala, who are listed at 11-1. Theegala set a career high last season with eight top-10 finishes, the last being his first PGA Tour win at the Fortinet Championship. The 26-year-old has begun this year in strong fashion, recording five top-10s in his first 11 events to match Ludvig Aberg for third-most in 2024. Theegala was runner-up at the Sentry in his season debut and is coming off another runner-up performance at the RBC Heritage last weekend.

Zalatoris did not fare as well in Hilton Head, tying for 44th place, but he has finished in the top 10 in three of his nine outings this season. The 27-year-old's best result of the year came at the Genesis Invitational in February, when he and Luke List were runners-up after finishing three strokes behind Hideki Matsuyama. Zalatoris is eager for a chance at another top-five finish in this tournament after missing last year's edition as he recovered from back surgery.  See which other teams to back at SportsLine .

How to make 2024 Zurich Classic picks

Nejad has locked in his best bets for the 2024 Zurich Classic and is backing several longshot teams, including one that is priced at more than +3000. This team has a member who "may be coming into form" and is a longshot that could surprise.  You can see Nejad's PGA Tour picks only at SportsLine .

So which teams should you target or avoid for the 2024 Zurich Classic, and which team in the   Zurich Classic 2024 field could bring a huge payday at more than +3000? Check out the odds below, then visit SportsLine to see Sia Nejad's top picks for the 2024 Zurich Classic , all from the expert who is 39-27-2 on his last 68 head-to-head picks.

Billy Horschel wins PGA Tour event amid historic finish, but there’s a catch

Share All sharing options for: Billy Horschel wins PGA Tour event amid historic finish, but there’s a catch

Corales Puntacana Championship - Final Round

Eleven months ago, after the first round of the Memorial Tournament, Billy Horschel stood in front of the media and fought back tears as he talked about his lack of confidence.

He had just fired a 12-over 84, which served as a metaphor for his struggles throughout the 2023 season. Horschel missed 10 cuts a year ago, which led to him missing out on the FedEx Cup Playoffs .

As such, Horschel did not meet the qualification requirements to play in this week’s RBC Heritage —the fifth Signature Event of the 2024 season . But he still wanted to play, knowing that his game was trending in the right direction.

So, he teed it up at the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic, an opposite full-field event.

The decision paid off.

Corales Puntacana Championship

Horschel began the final round three strokes behind Wesley Bryan, but he stormed past him and all the others to win by two. The former Florida Gator signed for a 9-under 63, which tied the course record, to win for the first time on the PGA Tour since the 2022 Memorial.

“This game of golf is so fickle. I think you can put a lot into it and get everything you want out of it,” Horschel said after his win on Sunday.

“But I knew in my 14 years, 13 years previously on the PGA Tour, that I had the ability, I had the talent. I just needed to continue to work hard, do the right things, and continue to believe that good stuff was going to come to the forefront at some point in time.”

Even though his victory did not come against the likes of Scottie Scheffler , Wyndham Clark , Rory McIlroy, or any other elite PGA Tour players, Horschel still holds this win—and other opposite field events—in high regard.

“The PGA Tour has a lot of tournaments, and it’s tough for every tournament to get its due. Opposite-field events have been crucial for many players coming up the ranks,” Horschel explained.

“Look at Tony Finau, Viktor Hovland winning in Puerto Rico, Matt Wallace won this. So listen, it’s another opportunity to play, it’s another opportunity to become a better player, to get that win on the PGA Tour. These events are crucial to the PGA Tour in the sense of the growth of the development of the players on the PGA Tour.”

8-under thru 12 @BillyHo_Golf leads by two after an eagle @CoralesChamp . pic.twitter.com/qkAjIiaKmI — PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) April 21, 2024

Horschel’s victory in the Dominican Republic vaults him from 76th to 45th in the FedEx Cup rankings. The top 70 players earn entry into the FedEx Cup Playoffs, so yes, this win carries significant weight.

But Horschel would not have been able to finish the job without his strong psyche and ability to handle pressure down the stretch.

“I don’t like talking about myself but growing up, I always wanted the ball when I was a pitcher; I always wanted to be the guy at battle trying to drive in the winning run; I always wanted to have it on me,” Horschel explained.

“I think growing up and having that mentality, I have grown into Ioving being in the lead. I love having that spotlight on me; I love having everything on me, knowing that if I mess up, it’s my fault, and I am the one who can control my destiny. I’ve always been really good up near the lead, and today, I showed that a little bit.”

Horschel made five birdies on the front nine to soar toward the top of the leaderboard at the midway point of his round. True to himself, he did not fold down the stretch, but rather, he thrived. His eagle at the par-5 12th gave him a two-shot lead with six holes to play, and he never relinquished it.
