The time of journey will be from 0915 to 17.45 hrs..

The tourist bus will start from DTC Office Scindia House then pick-up Tourists from Information Kiosk of Delhi Tourism Baba Kharak Singh Marg and thereafter from ITDC Office at Janpath for onward journey to the tourist places as per the following program.

How to Travel Around Delhi by Bus

Wanting to travel around Delhi by bus? This quick guide to Delhi buses will get you started. Most of the buses in Delhi are operated by the government-owned Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). The network of services is vast—there are about 800 bus routes and 2,500 bus stops connecting almost every part of the city!

The buses use environmentally friendly Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and they are apparently the largest fleet of their kind in the world.

Types of Buses

Delhi's bus system has undergone radical changes in recent years to improve safety and performance. In 2011, the notoriously erratic privately-operated Blueline buses were phased out. They've been replaced by frequent and clean non-air conditioned orange "cluster" buses, which run under public-private partnership agreements.

The cluster buses are regulated by the Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS) and tracked via GPS. Tickets are computerized, drivers undergo special training, and there are strict standards for cleanliness and punctuality. However, the buses aren't air-conditioned, so they do get hot and uncomfortable in the summer.

The DTC's rickety old buses are also being phased out and replaced with new low-floored green and red buses. The red ones are air-conditioned and you'll find them on almost all routes across the city.

Buses generally run from around 5.30 a.m. until 10.30-11 p.m. at night. After this, night service buses continue to operate on prominent, busy routes.

The frequency of buses varies from 5 minutes to 30 minutes or more, according to the route and time of day. On most routes, there will be a bus every 15 to 20 minutes. Buses can be unreliable depending on the amount of traffic on the roads. A timetable of DTC bus routes is available online.

The Mudrika Seva and Bahri Mudrika Seva , which run along the main Ring Road and Outer Ring Road respectively, are among the most popular routes. The Bahri Mudrika Seva extends for 105 kilometers and is the city's longest bus route! It encircles the whole city. As part of the changes to the bus system, new routes have been introduced to feed into the Metro train network.

Fares are more expensive on the new air-conditioned buses. You'll pay a minimum of 10 rupees and a maximum of 25 rupees per trip on an air-conditioned bus, while the fare on ordinary buses is between 5 and 15 rupees. Check online to see a fare chart.

A daily Green Card is available for travel on all DTC bus services (except Palam Coach, Tourist and Express services). The cost is 40 rupees for non-air conditioned buses and 50 rupees for air-conditioned buses.

Delhi Airport Express Service

DTC launched a popular airport bus service in late 2010. It connects Delhi Airport Terminal 3 with important locations including Kashmere Gate ISBT (via New Delhi Railway Station and Connaught Place), Anand Vihar ISBT, Indirapuram (via Sector 62 in Noida), Rohini (Avantika), Azadpur, Rajendra Place and Gurgaon.

Tourist Buses

There are separate ticket prices for Indians and foreigners. A one day ticket costs 1,000 rupees for foreigners and 500 rupees for Indians. A two-day ticket cost ~1,200 rupees for foreigners and ~600 rupees for Indians.

What to Expect in One Day Tour & Why Choose HOHO?

Rashtrapati Bhavan, home to the President of the world’s largest democracy, is emblematic of Indian democracy and its secular, plural and inclusive traditions. It was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker and stands on a 330 acre estate. It took seventeen years to build this presidential palace which was completed in the year 1929. Almost seven hundred million bricks and three million cubic feet of stone were used in building this architectural marvel that has 2.5 kilometers of corridors and 190 acres of garden area. The main building covers an area of 5 acres and has 340 rooms spread over four floors. The famous Mughal Gardens of the Rashtrapati Bhavan cover an area of 15 acres and have 159 celebrated varieties of roses, 60 varieties of bougainvillea and many other verities of flowers. The Estate also has a state-of-the-art Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex (RBMC) comprising the Clock Tower, the Stables and the Garages showcasing past as well as current presidencies, the regal ceremonies, and the rich flora and fauna of Rashtrapati Bhavan, amongst other things. The RBMC was inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee on 25th July, 2016. For the convenience of the general public, Delhi Tourism has extended the facility of Ho-Ho Buses to the Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is the most prominent Sikh gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship, known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan. Gurdwara Bangla Sahib was originally a bungalow belonging to Raja Jai Singh, an Indian ruler in the seventeenth century, and was known as Jaisinghpura Palace. The eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan resided here during his stay in Delhi in 1664. During that time, there was a smallpox and cholera epidemic, and Guru Har Krishan helped the suffering by giving aid and fresh water from the well at this house. Soon he too contracted the illness and eventually died on March 30, 1664. A small tank was later constructed by Raja Jai Singh over the well, its water is now revered as having healing properties and is taken by Sikhs throughout the world back to their homes. Recently, an instagram user spotted a bus in london sporting vibrant advertisements promoting kerala tourism..

A similar tourism campaign was also run in 2018

Kerala is often called 'God's Own Country' as it is blessed with nature's bounty, lush green scenic landscapes, pristine beaches, and lip-smacking food. From mangroves, forests, hills, waterfalls, lakes, tea gardens, and wildlife sanctuaries, Kerala has it all and has rightfully earned its place as the pride of 'Incredible India'. Every year, several tourists from across the world visit the beautiful state known for its Ayurvedic practices and holistic healing.

To promote tourism, the Kerala government has come up with eye-catching advertising campaigns in foreign countries. Recently, an Instagram user spotted a bus in London sporting vibrant advertisements promoting Kerala tourism.

''Kerala advertised bus in London,'' the caption shared by Ryan Shiju read. In the video, a double-decker bus, sporting beautiful visuals of Kerala's picturesque backwaters and Alappuzha's houseboat, is seen running across the city. A hashtag on one side of the bus reads, “#TravelForGood.”

Internet users loved the video and praised the Tourism department for its innovative marketing campaign. One user wrote, ''Wow, the whole of Alappuzha is in the vehicle.'' Another commented, ''People recognise India through Kerala, proud of it''

A third said, ''Brilliant placements, hats off to Kerala tourism marketing team.'' A fourth added, ''Wow, the whole of Alappuzha is in the vehicle.''

Kerala Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas also shared a video of the bus branding from London and wrote, ''Kerala tourism's new campaign method. Our Alappuzha and houseboat in London buses. New campaign ideas that can be implemented in foreign countries will be provided in the comment box.''

A similar campaign was also run in 2018 when five big London double-decker buses with visuals from Kerala were run across the city.
