Bringing their famed mixes brought to life from club settings to carparks across the country, playing in the round and up close to crowds, from start to finish.

In April 2012, Jimmy and Hugo undertook a mammoth project of chronologising their favourite music across 40 years of history. Their adventurous spirit and passion for crate-digging is not only in the Flight Facilities DNA, but can now be experienced across six decade-divided mixes; a series that has since been played millions of times and prompted a cult-like following as the centerpiece in road trips, house parties and kick ons alike. The latest and longest-awaited  2012-2022  episode further informed their core identity as selectors, producers and acclaimed musicians.

Jump from the 1970s to today with the Australian duo, spanning hundreds of tracks in extended club sets around the country.

UPDATE, August 14, 2023: Tickets are getting snapped up fast for Flight Facilities' tour, with new shows announced. This article has been updated to include the additional dates.

Flight Facilities know how to get a party started. The Australian producer duo, aka Hugo and Jimmy, have spent more than a decade inspiring folks to make shapes to the pair's own tunes. Given that they began mixing other artists, it's hardly surprising that they're also playlist and mixtape maestros. See: their Decades Mix series, which has spoiled listeners with six hour-long, decade-spanning surveys.

If it's a dancefloor filler from 1962 to 2022, the odds are that it has featured in one of Flight Facilities' odes, with separate mixes for 1962–72 ,  1972–82 , 1982–92 , 1992–2002 , 2002–12 and 2012–22 . And, if it's a track from the 1970s to now that's made the cut, it's also likely that it'll get a spin on Flight Facilities' just-announced latest DJ tour , which is all about its Decades mixes.

Fuelled by crate digging, this trip around Australia will jump through hundreds of tracks across extended club sets throughout October. First up: Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall, before Flight Facilities head southward from Byron Bay's Beach Hotel to Melbourne Pavilion. Also on the itinerary: going west over to Rechabite Hall in Perth and Freo.Social in Fremantle, a stint at Adelaide's Harvest Rock , and both Town Hall and Liberty Hall carpark in Sydney.

Start guessing which tunes will get a whirl now. The 72–82 mix spans everything from Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' to Queen and David Bowie's 'Under Pressure', while the 82–92 list includes New Order's 'Blue Monday', Madonna's 'Lucky Star', Prince's 'Cream' and Technotronic's 'Pump Up the Jam'.

Among the 92–02 roster: Arrested Development's 'Mr Wendal', Beastie Boys' 'Body Movin'', 2Pac's 'How Do U Want It?' and The Avalanches' 'Frontier Psychiatrist'. And, from 02–12, the mix starts with Chemical Brothers' 'Star Guitar' and ends with Flight Facilities' own 'Clair De Lune'.

The duo only dropped the 12–22 mix in July, so heading along to these gigs means hearing Flight Facilities' absolute latest blast from the past.

Flight Facilities are bringing their nostalgia-heavy decade mixes to the club

It’s been over 10 years since Flight Facilities first started delving through the archives to chronologically sort their favourite music from history into floor-filling mixes. Now they're bringing them to the club.

Jimmy and Hugo recently premiered their long-awaited 2012-2022 collection on Mix Up , documenting the last decade of heaters featuring everyone from Hot Chip to the Squid Game soundtrack.

Flight Facilities are set to bring decade-dedicated mixes to hit stages across the country over October so we can all cut loose to them collectively.

The Decades Tour will see the crate-digging duo bring their extensive historical mixes to the club, where they truly belong. Each night they’ll be turning the heat up on their legacy, slamming out tracks spanning from the 1970s to the 2020s. These extended sets will see Flight Facilities pulling out all the impressive stuff to keep everyone’s heart rate pumping and nostalgia-based serotonin coursing.

The duo will be coasting into Meanjin/Brisbane on October 6 before working their way down the east coast, over to Boorloo/Perth on October 21. They’ll then be gliding back over east (with a stopover at Adelaide’s Harvest Rock Festival ) to wrap it all up with a carpark set on Gadigal Land/Sydney at the end of the month.

Update 14/08/2023: Due to a bunch of dates selling out faster than we can blink, Flight Facilities have added extra shows to bump out the Decades Tour even more!

They'll now be jetsetting into Sydney on October 12 before heading to Melbourne a day early and then popping up in Fremantle after their sold-out show in Perth. Tickets for all these new shows are on sale now.

Australia’s own Flight Facilities are celebrating their favourite music of the last 40 years with their continuous decades mixes, and this October, they’re bringing their latest in the series, the long-awaited 2012-2022 mix, to venues across the country.

The Decades Tour will find the Aussie duo – Hugo Gruzman and Jimmy Lyell – performing across three weekends in October, starting at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall before heading to Byron Bay’s Beach Hotel, the Melbourne Pavilion, Perth’s Rechabite Hall, Adelaide’s Harvest Rock Festival , and the Liberty Hall Car Park in Sydney.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, 11 August, at 10 am AEST via the Secret Sounds website .

In April 2012, Flight Facilities embarked on the most ambitious undertaking of their career, chronicling their favourite music over four decades, starting with the 1970s.

According to a press release, the duo’s Decades Tour will take fans back down memory lane and breathe new life into songs that have defined generations.

Flight Facilities dropped the highly anticipated 2012-2022 Decade Mix in early July . Gruzman explained the latest instalment in their  Decade Mixes,  “It was a decade best summed up by podcasts, cancel culture, fake news and memeing our way through tragedy and triumph.”

The release tracked era-defining moments, such as the debuts of Billie Eilish, Interplanetary Criminal & Eliza Rose, Fred Again.., Childish Gambino ’s This Is America , Tame Impala ’s genre-defying The Less I Know The Better , Daft Punk ’s Get Lucky , and many more. Remixing 78 tracks, it’s a genuinely remarkable piece of work. You can check it out below.

Gruzman added, "But was 2012-2022 any crazier than eras past, or was it that the prevalence of social media put major international events on our digital doorsteps? A Hollywood star becoming the leader of the free world? Bizarre… but it wasn’t the first time.”

Flight Facilities will bring their Decades concept to clubs and outdoor music venues around the country throughout October 2023. The Decades Tour builds on the success of the Sydney duo’s long-running mix series, which comprises mixes covering every decade from 1962 until the present day.

Flight Facilities’ Decades tour begins at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Friday, 6th October, and moves to Beach Hotel, Byron Bay, the following night. They’ll head to Melbourne Pavilion and Perth’s Rechabite Hall on Friday, 20th and Saturday 21st October, respectively, before wrapping up at Liberty Hall Carpark in Sydney on Sunday, 29th October. They’re also on the lineup for Adelaide’s Harvest Rock festival.

Flight Facilities Decade Mix: 2012-2022

The duo of Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell conceived the Decades mix series in 2012 as a way of producing a chronological record of their favourite music from the last 40 years. Ten years have passed and six mixes have surfaced, including 1962-1972, which dropped in 2020, and 2012-2022, which arrived at the beginning of July.

“It was a decade best summed up by podcasts, cancel culture, fake news and memeing our way through tragedy and triumph,” Gruzman said of the pair’s latest mix , which incorporated 78 songs, 60 news and culture snippets, and a total of 240 audio tracks in the session.

The Decades Tour will include music and cultural references from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. The shows will be presented in the round, with Gruzman and Lyell in the thick of the crowd.

FLIGHT FACILITIES ANNOUNCE 'THE DECADES TOUR'

ARIA-award winning electronic duo, Flight Facilities have announced The Decades Tour, which will place their Decades Mix series into a live setting. Having released the latest instalment of the series, 2012-2022, just last month, the project chronicles their favourite music from across the decade.

Kicking off at Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall on October 6, the run of shows will continue on to Byron Bay's Beach Hotel, Melbourne's Melbourne Pavilion, Perth's Rechabite Hall and Adelaide's Harvest Rock Festival, before coming to an epic conclusion at Liberty Hall Carpark in Sydney. Tickets are on sale 10am Friday, August 11.

Flight Facilities are Taking Their Decades Mix Series on Tour This Year

Flight Facilities will bring their Decades concept to clubs and outdoor music venues around the country throughout October 2023. The Decades Tour builds on the success of the Sydney duo’s long-running mix series, which comprises mixes covering every decade from 1962 until the present day.

Flight Facilities’ Decades tour begins at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Friday, 6th October, and moves to Beach Hotel, Byron Bay, the following night. They’ll head to Melbourne Pavilion and Perth’s Rechabite Hall on Friday, 20th and Saturday 21st October, respectively, before wrapping up at Liberty Hall Carpark in Sydney on Sunday, 29th October. They’re also on the lineup for Adelaide’s Harvest Rock festival.

Flight Facilities Decade Mix: 2012-2022

The duo of Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell conceived the Decades mix series in 2012 as a way of producing a chronological record of their favourite music from the last 40 years. Ten years have passed and six mixes have surfaced, including 1962-1972, which dropped in 2020, and 2012-2022, which arrived at the beginning of July.

“It was a decade best summed up by podcasts, cancel culture, fake news and memeing our way through tragedy and triumph,” Gruzman said of the pair’s latest mix , which incorporated 78 songs, 60 news and culture snippets, and a total of 240 audio tracks in the session.

The Decades Tour will include music and cultural references from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. The shows will be presented in the round, with Gruzman and Lyell in the thick of the crowd.

Flight Facilities Announce 'The Decades' October 2023 Australian Tour

Flight Facilities' Decades Tour will take fans back down memory lane and breathe new life into songs that have defined generations.

Australia’s own Flight Facilities are celebrating their favourite music of the last 40 years with their continuous decades mixes, and this October, they’re bringing their latest in the series, the long-awaited 2012-2022 mix, to venues across the country.

The Decades Tour will find the Aussie duo – Hugo Gruzman and Jimmy Lyell – performing across three weekends in October, starting at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall before heading to Byron Bay’s Beach Hotel, the Melbourne Pavilion, Perth’s Rechabite Hall, Adelaide’s Harvest Rock Festival , and the Liberty Hall Car Park in Sydney.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, 11 August, at 10 am AEST via the Secret Sounds website .

In April 2012, Flight Facilities embarked on the most ambitious undertaking of their career, chronicling their favourite music over four decades, starting with the 1970s.

According to a press release, the duo’s Decades Tour will take fans back down memory lane and breathe new life into songs that have defined generations.

Flight Facilities dropped the highly anticipated 2012-2022 Decade Mix in early July . Gruzman explained the latest instalment in their  Decade Mixes,  “It was a decade best summed up by podcasts, cancel culture, fake news and memeing our way through tragedy and triumph.”

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

Moscow subways are very clean

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

4. Biblioteka Imeni Lenina Metro Station was built in 1935 and named after the Russian State Library. It is located near the library and has a big mosaic portrait of Lenin and yellow ceramic tiles on the track walls.

5. Kievskaya Metro Station was one of the first to be completed in Moscow. Named after the capital city of Ukraine by Kiev-born, Nikita Khruschev, Stalin's successor.

6. Novoslobodskaya Metro Station  was built in 1952. It has 32 stained glass murals with brass borders.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

8. Mayakovskaya Metro Station built in 1938. It was named after Russian poet Vladmir Mayakovsky. This is one of the most beautiful metro stations in the world with 34 mosaics painted by Alexander Deyneka.

9. Belorusskaya Metro Station is named after the people of Belarus. In the picture below, there are statues of 3 members of the Partisan Resistance in Belarus during World War II. The statues were sculpted by Sergei Orlov, S. Rabinovich and I. Slonim.

10. Teatralnaya Metro Station (Theatre Metro Station) is located near the Bolshoi Theatre.
