TORONTO — GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel and Tours is offering special discounts for Canadians on Hurtigruten’s Norwegian Coastal Voyages and expeditions to Antarctica.

GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel and Tours is the Canadian representative for Hurtigruten.

“Unlike most operators who expect payment in U.S. currency, GLP Worldwide makes it easy for agents and their clients where they can pay in Canadian dollar rates and save even more with no additional foreign exchange and credit card mark-up fees,” says Alan Law, director of sales and marketing for GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel and Tours.

Canadians can save an additional 15% on this special promotion on select Norwegian Coastal Voyages and Antarctica expeditions. Applicable voyages include MS Fram/MS Midnatso/MS Nordstjernen and MS Spitsbergen voyages from Jan. 1, 2016 to Dec. 31, 2016 as well as six, seven, 11 and 12-day Coastal Voyages between Bergen, Kirkenes and Trondheim with sailing dates from Jan. 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017.

Bookings must be made between now until March 31, 2017. The additional 15% discount is combinable with early booking discount, Ambassador and Child discount. It is not combinable with single waiver and flash sales and suites are excluded. Check availability as promotion can be withdrawn at any time.

Hurtigruten continues to grow its Norwegian Coastal Voyages with expanded offerings that include special themed Expedition Voyages and Vintage Era sailings and a new a la carte menu added to the line’s dining options.

A staple of Norwegian culture since 1893, Hurtigruten’s fleet of modern ships offers a unique glimpse into Norwegian culture as they transport guests and locals alike along Norway’s spectacular west coast, stopping at 34 ports of call between the cultural centre of Bergen and Kirkenes, high above the Arctic Circle.

Hurtigruten sails to the most remote of destinations as well as year-round along Norway’s coast. The company’s fleet of intimate ships, which each carry 100 to 646 guests, allows travellers to enjoy the scenery and culture of the destination in a relaxed atmosphere.

GLP Worldwide has produced a comprehensive 2016-17 Explorer Voyages 126-page brochure featuring cruises to Norway, Antarctica, Greenland, Spitsbergen and Europe. The brochure features spectacular photography and provides detailed itineraries, ship layout, pricing, terms and conditions but also some useful information on the history and culture of the area.

All pricing for the brochure is done in Canadian dollars making it easier for the travel agent and consumer to calculate costs.

Only have time for one and not sure which city in Russia to choose? Both have absolutely stunning architecture in spades, but Moscow’s history runs far deeper. The city was founded in 1147, 400 years before it became the capital of the Tsarist Empire. The world-famous Kremlin is located in Moscow in the Red Square, along with St Basil’s Cathedral. Meanwhile, the grand palaces, monuments and cathedrals of St Petersburg’s World Heritage-listed historic city centre can be explored by boat on the city’s network of canals. St Petersburg is home to around five million residents, while the population of the greater Moscow Metropolitan Area is estimated at at least 20 million!
