All the Stars at the ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ Movie Premiere

Beyoncé, Maren Morris, Mariska Hargitay and more showed up for the film's launch.

Taylor Swift hosted the world premiere of her record-breaking   Eras Tour  concert film Wednesday (Oct. 11), joining fans and fellow stars in viewing the first-ever screenings of her bestselling global trek caught on camera.

The event took place at AMC theaters at The Grove in Los Angeles, where multiple rooms of people enjoyed synchronous showings of the nearly three-hour program. The seats were filled with Swifties who’d been handpicked by the pop star and her team to attend, but several celebrities also dotted the audience: Maren Morris, Hayley Kiyoko, Simu Liu and the queen herself, Beyoncé, to name a few.

Inside the 'Eras Tour' Film Premiere

Before sitting down to watch the film, which captured almost an entire Eras Tour concert via footage compiled from Swift’s SoFi Stadium stops (minus the songs “The Archer,” “No Body No Crime” feat. HAIM, “Long Live,” “Cardigan” and “Wildest Dreams”), the 12-time Grammy winner stopped in each theater to make a speech. “I can’t believe I get to do music as a career,” she told the crowds. “That’s crazy. I’ve always had so much fun doing it. I’ve never had this much fun in my life as I have had on The Eras Tour. It is far and away just the most electric experience of my life.”

The star-studded premiere marked a triumphant send-off for the Eras Tour  movie, which had already crushed existing AMC sales numbers well before its release. Similar with the Eras concert tickets, the company experienced an unprecedented demand for tickets to the film — so much so, Swift announced that the project would hit theaters a whole day early, now opening Thursday (Oct. 12).

“I can’t really wrap my head around this but…. Look what you genuinely made me do,” wrote the singer in a pre-premiere Instagram post.  “I can’t thank you enough for wanting to see this film that so vividly captures my favorite adventure I’ve ever been a part of: The Eras Tour. And the best part is, it’s an adventure we’re still on together. Getting in the car now…”

Of course, Ms. Swift was the guest of honor at her Eras Tour film premiere. The pop star looked dazzling as she arrived on the red carpet, dressed in a  1989- esque light blue gown with her hair in a faux bob.

Beyoncé & Taylor Swift

Beyoncé all but stole the show by making a surprise appearance at the Eras film premiere, showing support to her fellow pop star. “She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale,” Swift later wrote of the “Break My Soul” singer.

Maren Morris

Maren Morris was also in the house. Like Taylor, she got her start in country music.

Mariska Hargitay

Mariska Hargitay fully belonged on the Eras  red carpet, given how much of a figurehead she was during Swift’s  1989  era. Not only did the singer name her cat after Hargitay’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit character, Olivia Benson, but the actress also starred in the pop star’s “Bad Blood” music video.

Hayley Kiyoko

Hayley Kiyoko was channeling Reputation  on the  Eras carpet. The “Girls Like Girls” singer was featured in Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video back in 2019, and prior to that, joined the pop star on stage for a guest appearance on the Reputation Tour in 2018.

Flavor Flav

Flavor Flav is just as much of a Swiftie as all of the other fans hand-picked by Swift’s team to attend the premiere. He attended the Eras Tour in Detroit, posed for pics with the pop superstar at the 2023 iHeartRadio awards and proclaimed his Swiftiehood in an interview with Billboard   earlier this year: “Love me some Taylor Swift, man, always did.”

Karamo Brown

The Queer Eye star was another “You Need to Calm Down” music video cast member to make an appearance at the  Eras  film premiere, looking dapper in a mocha-colored suit.

Molly Sims expertly dressed up her Eras Tour T-shirt with a blazer and aptly sparkly pants for the premiere.

After attending the Eras Tour stop in Seattle, the  Barbie actor got to relive the experience at the concert film premiere. He has said that he was “absolutely BLOWN away by the eras tour” and praised Swift earlier this year: “You really showed me that kindness always wins.”

Fortune Feimster

Fortune Feimster was all smiles on the Eras red carpet. In August, the comedian caught an Eras Tour show and afterward raved on Instagram : “What an incredible show from @taylorswift last night. She gave a 3.5 hour performance and didn’t even break a sweat. The Eras Tour definitely lived up to the hype.”

Tetris Kelly

Billboard ‘s own Tetris Kelly was on hand at the Eras Tour premiere, and even captured clips of Swift rocking out to the film from her seat in the theater. 

The Eras Tour Backup Dancers

Swift’s fleet of backup dancers and Eras film costars presented a unified front at the premiere. In a pre-screening speech, the pop star thanked them for their contributions to the project.

“We did this show rain or shine, in sickness and in health, no matter what was going on in our lives,” she said. “And we did it with a grin on our face because of what greeted us on the other side.”

Taylor Swift premiered her Eras tour concert film Wednesday at the Grove , and there was no shortage of stars in attendance to make the whole place shimmer.

“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star Mariska Hargitay, “Barbie” actor Simu Liu and singer-songwriter Maren Morris were among the celebrities who walked the red carpet in Los Angeles. But the most esteemed guest of the evening — aside from perhaps Swift herself — was the one and only Beyoncé, who is set to release her own Renaissance Tour concert film on Dec. 1.

“PREMIERE DAY,” Swift wrote Wednesday on Instagram.

“I can’t thank you enough for wanting to see this film that so vividly captures my favorite adventure I’ve ever been a part of: The Eras Tour. And the best part is, it’s an adventure we’re still on together.”

As influential as her music is, Taylor Swift’s legacy is most clearly reflected in the devotion on display at the world premiere of her new concert film.

Distributed by AMC Theaters and directed by Sam Wrench, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” opens Friday in wide release, along with select advance screenings occurring Thursday in the United States and Canada.

In ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,’ Every Seat Is the Best Seat in the House

It opens with a clock counting down until show time — the dropped stomach, rollercoaster slowly encroaching its apex sensation — and then, a gentle fake out. Taylor Swift is heard before she is seen. “It’s been a long time…” her voice carries. Then the drop hits: an abridged performance of “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince” into “Cruel Summer,” a track that TikTok breathed new life into four years after its initial release on her 2019 album Lover .

This is the moment it should become clear: Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour film is a near exact replica of her blockbuster concert performance, which recaps all 10 of her studio albums across 17 years of recorded work. There will be no narrative breaks, no behind-the-scenes footage, no additional ornamentation of the monolithic set (with the exception of a few CGI effects and album title cards to introduce each epoch.) The film delivers on the promise of its title: this is the Eras Tour in full — conveniently viewable at an AMC theater near you.

For those who’ve managed to snag tickets to the Eras Tour concert, it is the ability to relive the experience, likely with loved ones who weren’t as lucky. For those who didn’t attend, it’s a chance to test expectations versus reality. But for everyone, it is the opportunity to have every seat in the house transform into the best seat in the house. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is all up close and personal footage from every vantage point, courtesy of Sam Wrench, who shot and directed it.

Where else but in this film can you be placed inches from Swift’s moss-covered evermore album-era piano as she introduces “Champagne Problems” — so close as to examine phalanges as they press down on the final notes of the song’s coda? And where else does it sound this good, highlighting sonic details that might’ve been missed in the stadium setting? Like guitars placed high in the mix on “Look What You Made Me Do,” differing slightly from the recording, or emphasis placed on moments fans have transformed into opportunities from insider participation, like when everyone shouts, “ 1, 2, 3, let’s go, bitch !” in “Delicate,” as inspired by a viral video?

Edits to the three-and-a-half-hour concert production are few on screen. Costume changes are cut down. Some songs are snipped, like “The Archer,” “Cardigan,” “Wildest Dreams,” and “no body no crime.” The Speak Now section is just one song long: “Enchanted,” with “Long Live” soundtracking the end credits alongside images of Eras Tour bloopers and an endless exchange of friendship bracelets. Onstage banter, too, is limited, mostly reserved for humor and exposition.

As previously reported, the concert film , compiled from several Swift shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, a suburb of Los Angeles, is expected to launch with $100 million, or possibly more. Advance ticket sales worldwide have already surpassed $100 million.

AMC announced that the concert film broke its record for highest ticket sales revenue in a single day. The theater chain Cinemark reported domestic pre-sale records are more than “10 times higher pre-sales than any other cinema engagement event.”

It’s too early to tell, but all signs point to her usurping 2011’s Justin Bieber: Never Say Never as the biggest concert film, ever. And for the premiere Wednesday night in Los Angeles, Swift shut down The Grove, a bustling mall just south of Hollywood, and watched her performance in an auditorium alongside a star-studded audience of Adam Sandler, Mariska Hargitay, actor Julia Garner, Queer Eye co-host Karamo Brown, country star Maren Morris, singer Hayley Kiyoko and Bachelor Nation’s Becca Tilley.

It is massive, but nothing could exactly recreate the decibel-bursting exhilaration of a live music performance, particularly one at this scale. But in this format, Swift gets as close as possible — and for her, being an exception to the rule is par for the course. In a fractured, algorithmic music industry, Swift is a final exemplar of monoculture, a figure recognizable by most. And because of that fact, she’s able to fully communicate her power in a concert film with little to no dialogue.

(That, admittedly, is something available to only her and Beyoncé, a superstar Swift has learned from and mirrored, in some ways. For example: Beyoncé limits traditional press appearances to instead present her own story in her own terms; Swift has begun to do the same. Relatedly, Bey will release a documentary chronicling her Renaissance World Tour , premiering at AMC theaters in North America on Dec. 1 in a similar agreement to Swift.)

The success of Swift’s concert film, too, has something to do with the setting of a theater. Her revealing 2020 documentary, Miss Americana , was released to Netflix and meant to be absorbed with a kind of intimacy. The viewer is with her in the backseat of car, listening to her incredible candor about the pressures of being Swift, and in a particularly memorable moment, disordered eating.

A very different viewing experience, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is meant to be enjoyed communally — a shout-along affair where fans in bespoke cosplay can dance and sing and film the screen on their smartphones, breaking the rules of the traditional movie-going experience. Strangers become friends. And all the while, feeling closer to Swift than ever before.

Beyoncé Joins Taylor Swift at ‘Eras Tour’ Film Premiere, Dance Party Closes Out the Show

On Wednesday night, the Grove shut its doors and rolled out a massive red carpet for the world premiere of Taylor Swift ‘s “ Eras Tour ” concert film in Los Angeles.

“I appreciate you being here because this night is a core memory for me and you’re a part of it,” Swift said introducing the highly-anticipated movie before a packed auditorium of Swifties, celebrities (and celebrity Swifties) , including Beyoncé, Adam Sandler, Julia Garner, Maren Morris, Flavor Flav, Karamo Brown, Hayley Kiyoko, Becca Tilley, Simu Liu, Molly Sims, Jennifer Meyer and Mariska Hargitay, as well as the Grove owner, Rick Caruso.

In anticipation of the event, some streets around the shopping plaza were closed for much of Wednesday, with security routing attending guests into one entrance. But that didn’t stop massive crowds from forming on sidewalks and crosswalks craning to catch a glimpse of Swift. News helicopters also circled overhead for hours.

Then, just before 6 p.m., the moment they’d been waiting for: Swift — dressed in a gorgeous tanzanite Oscar de la Renta gown (she’s in her “1989” era, after all), accessorized with a diamond necklace and a glamorous curly bob — strutted onto the red carpet.

As the pop superstar posed for cameras in front of the AMC marquee with her tour dancers, fans screamed with glee. The volume only increased as Swift made her way down the carpet to pose for selfies, sign autographs and accept their friendship bracelets.

Also joining Swift for the premiere was filmmaker Sam Wrench, whose team captured Swift’s epic concert across three shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood in August.

“Every single person in this theater has been hand-selected and hand-picked and invited to this night because you’ve shown some sort of extra type of support for this tour, and I appreciate that more than you could possibly know,” Swift began, standing at the front of the auditorium. “I’m always looking out for people with elevated levels of passion, incredible senses of humor on the internet, and attention to detail. These things are very important to me. So thank you for everything you’ve done that just got us all in this one room.”

Swift then marveled over the experience she’s had on the road this time around, adding, “I’ve always had fun doing this. I can’t believe I get to do music as a career — that’s crazy. I’ve never had this much fun in my life as I have had on the ‘Eras Tour.’ It is far and away just the most electric experience of my life.”

The reason for that, she explained, was due in large part to her band, dancers and crew, who were seated in the various theater rooms.

“We did this show rain or shine, in sickness and in health, no matter what was going on in our lives. And we did it with a grin on our face because of what greeted us on the other side,” Swift continued. “What you guys were doing in the audience — the amount of care and preparation and passion [and] intensity that you put into coming to these shows. … You pulled us out of anything rough that might have been going on in our lives. You let us forget about it for 3.5 hours every night on that stage. So thank you so much for doing that for us.”

As the audience cheered and applauded, Swift wrapped up her remarks: “I think the fans will see — and the dancers, you’ll all see — how much you are main characters in this film. And I love you so much. I appreciate you being here because this night it is a core memory for me and you’re a part of it. And you decided you wanted to spend your evening here with us. So I really hope you have fun. I hope you love it so much.”

Then, Swift made her way to a final theater where another contingent of Variety reporters were stationed.

“Hi, so you’re stuck with me cuz I’m gonna sit with you and watch this thing,” Swift told the group. “Let’s have a blast guys. Thank you for coming!” she concluded before taking a seat alongside her backup singers, Garner and family.

While the film unspooled, Swift was spotted mimicking along to the hand choreography from “Willow,” and singing along to every word — other times she would point with her finger at something going on in the background or let out a laugh during the show’s quirkier notes.

The positive vibes kept on through the entire screening, ending in a full-out dance party to the film’s closer, “Karma.”

Captioning the post “premiere day,” Swift wrote: “I can’t really wrap my head around this but…. Look what you genuinely made me do: Due to unprecedented demand we’re opening up early access showings of The Eras Tour Concert Film on Thursday in America and Canada!! As in… tomorrow.”

The film, a cinematic rendering of Swift’s record-breaking, three-hour stadium tour , will open in 3,850 cinemas in the U.S. and is projected to open with at least $100 million at the domestic box office. However, the launch could be as high as $125 million, according to some estimates. Internationally, the movie is opening in 4,150 theaters in 90 countries and aiming to bring in an additional $30 million to $50 million. That would put the film at a worldwide opening of $150 million to $175 million.

“Eras Tour” has already surpassed $100 million in advance ticket sales worldwide (which includes domestic and international), according to its official distributor AMC Theatres. It took less than 24 hours for the film to break AMC’s U.S. record for the highest ticket sales revenue during a single day in the company’s 103-year history. This means it enters theaters as the highest-grossing concert film in history, surpassing the entire run of the genre’s former record holder, 2011’s “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” ($99 million).

The concert film comes after wrapping a U.S. run for the tour, though Swift has added North American dates for fall 2024. She’s currently in the middle of the trek’s international dates , with Asian and European globetrotting to come in the next year.

Beyoncé’s surprise appearance underlined the importance of the superstars’ deals with AMC Theaters to distribute their concert tour films, with Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” world tour documentary set to hit theaters on Dec. 1.

Swift posted to Instagram about their team up, writing: “I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without Beyoncé influence. The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale.”

Taylor Swift shut down a very busy Los Angeles shopping center, and Beyoncé even made a surprise appearance.

On Wednesday, Taylor Swift held the world premiere for her record-breaking concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour .

It's a major moment for the singer, who has made a career of major moments. The film is already the highest-grossing concert film ever, according to Variety , and it's not even out yet. The film drops in theaters worldwide on Friday.

So, in honor of the film's opening weekend nearly being upon us, here are 25 behind-the-scenes moments from Wednesday's premiere:

1. The premiere was held at the AMC theater in Los Angeles's the Grove shopping center. According to the Los Angeles Times , the usually very busy center was shut down for the premiere.

2. The celebration began outside the theater where Taylor Swift arrived in a blue Oscar de la Renta dress that featured embroidered flowers and cutouts.

3. She notably posed with several of her tour dancers and band members.

4. Several of them shared a laugh with Taylor.

5. Taylor also took time to sign autographs...

6. ...and take selfies with her fans.

7. Access Hollywood host Scott Evans even brought cutouts of Taylor's cats, which took the singer by surprise on the red carpet. "Love that! Wow! You always know," she said in a video the news outlet posted on Twitter.

16. The Hollywood Reporter captured Taylor talking to the attendees before the movie started. "I wanted to come and say 'Hi' to you before you watch the film because honestly, honestly the fact that this tour was such a grand adventure has everything to do with the ways in which you cared about this tour and about these shows. I think you'll see that you're absolutely a main character in the film. Because it was your magic and your attention to detail and your sense of humor and the ways that you lean into what I'm doing..." she said before her mic momentarily went out.

17. "It's back. It's back. It's back, but I was going to scream the rest of it. We'll never know how that would have gone. It was the ways you've leaned into what I'm doing and the music I create that made this tour the most fun thing I've ever been apart of in my life," she continued.

18. While the film played, Entertainment Tonight captured a video of Taylor singing and dancing while watching herself, well, sing and dance to "Cruel Summer" on screen.

19. The Hollywood Reporter also got Taylor seemingly watching herself perform "Look What You Made Me Do" while also recreating the dance moves.

20. Several of the celebs in attendance posted about the occasion on Instagram. This included Maren, who shared on her Instagram story a video of herself singing along to Taylor's song "Everything Has Changed" (presumably before the film had begun).

21. "Crazy movie night," Simu wrote in an Instagram post of himself and his girlfriend Allison Hsu on the red carpet. "Thanks @taylorswift and the whole eras team. what a magnetic force of a film!"

22. karamo also celebrated attending the premiere on his instagram story, noting he even danced with his partner carlos medel afterword outside the theater. "why not take advantage of the grove being completely shut down & dance w/ mi vida," he wrote..

23. Hayley Kiyoko attended with her girlfriend and Bachelor alum Becca Tilley. Hayley said on her Instagram story that the Grove being shut down for Taylor's film was "the most LA epic thing ever."

24. Then there was Flavor Flav, who shouted out a series of people he met at the premiere in an Instagram post, including Taylor's mother Andrea Swift, her brother Austin swift, and her former backup-dancer-turned-Eras-opening-act Owenn.

25. and, finally, spoiler alert: the new york times reported which songs from taylor's eras setlist appeared to be cut from the movie. (don't read ahead if you don't want to know.).

They are: "The Archer," "Cardigan," "Wildest Dreams," and "no body, no crime," according to the publication. Billboard also included "Long Live" on their list of songs cut from the film.

Taylor Swift Taps Paramore for European Eras Tour Run

Taylor Swift knows we need more — so she’s giving us just that. The singer has added 14 more shows to the European/U.K. leg of her Eras Tour , and announced that Paramore will provide support throughout the trek.

“Really can’t contain my excitement because… we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour,” Swift wrote on Twitter Wednesday, July 5. “And I get to travel the world doing shows with @paramore !! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???”

Last month, Swift added dozens of shows to her Taylor Swift: The Eras stadium tour — bringing the total count of shows to a whooping 104 nights . She also extended her run at Los Angeles’ So-Fi Stadium with a sixth show scheduled for Aug. 7.

The new addition comes after the singer announced shows in Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Europe earlier this week. (See below for the full tour dates.)

“EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY 🙋‍♀️,” she wrote on Instagram. “I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!”

She also added more dates to her already-announced Latin America tour. After wrapping her U.S. dates in Los Angeles on Aug. 9, Swift will head to Mexico City for four straight shows at Foro Sol starting Aug. 24. She’ll then stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and both Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil in November.

Swift first announced the tour last October after she completely took over the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 with Midnights . The added dates, which follow the addition of eight new shows last week, were slotted in “due to unprecedented demand,” according to the singer’s camp.

“Good Morning America, it’s Taylor,” Swift said during the announcement. “I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time and I’ve been planning for ages, and I finally get to tell you I’m going back on tour. The tour is called the ‘Eras’ tour, and it’s a journey through all of my musical eras of my career.”

The tour began on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona and extends through Aug. 9, where the singer will wrap with a fifth night at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Swift still has stops left in Detroit, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Seattle, and Santa Clara.

Across the tour, Swift is being supported in select cities by a combination of special guests including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN.

The Eras tour follows the cancelation of her planned 2020 Lover Fest tour, which was originally going to see her make stadium stops in Los Angeles, Boston, and New York, along with Brazil, Denmark, Norway, and Poland. “This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future,” she wrote in 2021.

Swift last went the road in 2018 for her massive Reputation Stadium Tour , which saw Swift accompanied by the likes of Charli XCX and Camila Cabello across the United States, the United Kingdom, along with Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. The tour was the highest-grossing music tour by a female artist that year.

Since her last tour, Swift has released four albums and two re-releases: Lover , Folklore , Evermore , Midnights , and Taylor’s Version editions of Fearless and Red with additional songs. In total, she’s dropped 90 tracks of new material, not including collaborations with the likes of Haim and Big Red Machine.

Fans have long wondered what music she’ll be performing on the road, with some theorizing that she’d host a residency in Las Vegas or a music festival where she’d perform different “eras” on different nights.

Along with packing her setlist with songs from Reputation in 2018, she surprised each city with an acoustic rendition of fan favorites like “Red,” “Holy Ground,” and “Wildest Dreams.” At select shows, she also brought out special guests. Shawn Mendes, Selena Gomez, Hayley Kiyoko, and Maren Morris were among the artists to be brought out by Swift.

The stadium tour was accompanied by a concert film released on New Year’s Eve that year.

She previously took her 1989 album on the road for 85 dates, where she was accompanied by the likes of Mendes, James Bay, Vance Joy, and Haim. Before then was The Red Tour in 2013 and 2014, and her Speak Now World Tour from 2011 to 2012.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ movie: Four takeaways from the premiere.

LOS ANGELES — As she greeted the audience at the premiere of her new movie, Taylor Swift sounded a bit sheepish.

"You're stuck with me, because I'm going to sit with you and watch this thing," she told the crowd at the packed premiere of "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour," held at the sprawling Grove shopping complex Wednesday night. Well, one of the crowds, anyway: Thirteen of the theaters at the Grove's AMC multiplex were filled with eager fans, and Swift stopped by all of them to give a special introduction, eventually settling into an auditorium's audience that included stars like Adam Sandler and Julia Garner.

Regular moviegoers can only hope that an apologetic Swift shows up for more house calls as her concert documentary makes its way into theaters this week. Though it was originally set for release Friday, Swift just announced that the film will begin screening one day early because of fan demand.

Still, even if they can’t watch “The Eras Tour” alongside the singer herself — who came to the premiere in a pale blue Oscar de la Renta gown and danced in her seat for most of its running time — the movie is poised to deliver in a major way.

For theatrical exhibitors, whose business has been in jeopardy since the actors strike scuttled plans to release tentpole movies like “Dune” this fall, “The Eras Tour” is being likened to the second coming of Barbenheimer: It’s got the grab-your-besties-and-go appeal of “Barbie,” the shock-and-awe soundscape of “Oppenheimer” and the box-office tracking to rival them both. Bullish film analysts expect an opening weekend between $150 million to $200 million, meaning “The Eras Tour” has a shot at taking this year’s box-office tiara from “Barbie,” which notched a $162 million debut.

In the meantime, here are four of the takeaways from the premiere.

Expect no extras, though you’ll get a front-row seat.

If fans are looking for insight into how Swift put her show together, or what was going on in her life behind the scenes, they won’t find it in “The Eras Tour”: There is no additional embroidering in this concert documentary, which was culled from Swift’s six-night August stint at the SoFi stadium in Inglewood, a suburb of Los Angeles. For those who caught one of the 53 shows Swift played in North America this past year, or for the fans hoping to see Swift in her remaining American dates (an international tour begins in February), this film is more or less the same thing as buying a concert ticket.

There’s one crucial difference, of course: No stadium seat could offer as close a look at Swift’s performance as this documentary, which is vigorously shot and directed by Sam Wrench. And since the 33-year-old singer designed “The Eras Tour” as a journey through the shifting musical genres of her past 10 albums — from the country-pop “Fearless” all the way up to the recent, stripped-down records “Folklore,” “Evermore” and “Midnights” — this film is the closest thing that exists to a definitive document of one of the world’s biggest performers.

In that way, it’s perfect viewing for newcomers and superfans alike: Curious people who were unwilling to shell out for tour prices can now check out Swift at a reduced rate, while Swifties who’ve already attended the concert can relive it in a compelling close-up. My teenage niece, who went to one of the SoFi shows, accompanied me to the premiere and was thrilled by the better look at Swift’s facial expressions and choreography. I noticed that hardly a song goes by without some big smiles from Swift and her backup singers: There’s enough joy on these faces to power entire blocks of Barbie Land.

Only a few songs get snipped.

“The Eras Tour” runs a robust 2 hours, 48 minutes, and though that’s nearly as long as “Oppenheimer,” Swift’s real-life concerts during this tour were even more mammoth, typically clocking in just shy of 3 1/2 hours. Do fans have reason to fear there have been major cuts to the set list?

By my count, only a handful of her regular songs go missing on the way to the big screen, including “The Archer,” “Cardigan,” “Wildest Dreams,” and “no body no crime,” which Swift performed at SoFi with the band Haim.

Still, fans will get plenty of bang for their buck, since Swift performs nearly 40 songs during the movie, including a 10-minute version of “All Too Well” and two other bonus tunes, “Our Song” and “You’re On Your Own, Kid,” that Swift plucked from a rotating selection of surprise songs during her tour. And another trim is sure to be appreciated: Swift now moves between the different eras and costume changes in the blink of an eye onscreen, eliding all the time those segues took onstage.

In Hollywood, everyone is a Swiftie.

Blockbuster premieres have been hard to come by since the actors strike began, and an eclectic cross-section of celebrities turned out for the “Eras Tour” premiere, including Sandler, Mariska Hargitay and singers Maren Morris and Hayley Kiyoko. Fashion choices ran the gamut from silver sequins to cowgirl fringe, and Alex Atallah, a co-founder of the NFT marketplace OpenSea, entered the theater lobby sporting the colorful, tie-dyed “I Am Kenough” hoodie seen on Ryan Gosling in “Barbie.”

“I have very few shirts with this many pastel colors,” Atallah said before posing for a photo with the “Barbie” co-star Simu Liu.

Nearby, I caught Flavor Flav deep in conversation with Swift’s father, Scott. Though they made for an unlikely duo, the 64-year-old rap icon is no fly-by-night fan: He said that he’d seen the “awesome” Swift on two previous tours.

“I’ve been a Swiftie for the longest, bro,” Flav insisted.

But Swift’s biggest invite was reserved for another A-lister (and no, it wasn’t her new beau Travis Kelce, busy with a football game the next day): Before the premiere began, Swift dined and posed for pictures with Beyoncé, who has her own concert movie “Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé” due for release Dec. 1. Like “The Eras Tour,” Beyoncé’s film bypassed traditional Hollywood studios and will be distributed by AMC Theaters.

Finally, Swift will enjoy some big-screen success.

Though she’s a superstar in the music industry, Swift’s forays into film haven’t been as well-received. Her last three movie credits as an actress include the minor young-adult drama “The Giver,” the memorably cataclysmic adaptation of “Cats,” and last year’s David O. Russell-directed “Amsterdam,” which coaxed Swift to pop in for a quick cameo and then promptly ran her over.

Unlike Lady Gaga, who has lately toggled between music and movies in equal measure, Swift has treated Hollywood as more of a side hustle, only committing to the occasional supporting role. But last year, after she signed a deal with Searchlight to write and direct an upcoming original film, eyebrows were raised all over town: Was Swift ready to take her movie career a bit more seriously?

It remains to be seen whether Swift will star in her feature directorial debut, but “The Eras Tour” still supplies her with some much-needed big-screen juice. A fun presence in her biggest numbers, like the bouncy “Shake It Off” and rocking “Look What You Made Me Do,” Swift is even more appealing in acoustic numbers that trade busy choreography for simple guitar playing. And in the centerpiece song “Tolerate It,” she shows acting chops during a well-choreographed routine about a dinner date gone wrong: It begins with her beseeching an inexpressive lover and ends with her swatting a vase of roses off the table.

Her real talent, though, is selling humility with a megawatt charisma that few celebrities can muster. Introducing one song, Swift insists she had to invent an outsized version of herself in order to write it: “In my fantasy, I’m not a lonely millennial woman covered in cat hair,” the singer says, even though she’s spent the whole film looking impossibly glamorous in sky-high Christian Louboutin heels.

And yet, you’re still tempted to believe her. What is that, if not a movie star?

As in… TOMORROW,” Taylor wrote on Instagram ahead of the event. “We’re also adding additional showtimes Friday and throughout the weekend. All tickets will be available by 10am tomorrow morning. And it’ll be showing starting Friday in 90 countries all over the world.”

The singer went on to thank fans for “wanting to see this film that so vividly captures my favorite adventure I’ve ever been a part of.”

She added, “And the best part is, it’s an adventure we’re still on together.”

Taylor arrived at the premiere — which was hosted at The Grove in Los Angeles — in a blue gown and, of course, her signature red lipstick. She posed alongside Beyoncé for some photos before heading into the theater and chatting with the crowd before the film’s screening.

“I wanted to come and say hi to you before you watched the film because honestly, the fact that this tour was such a grand adventure has everything to do with the ways in which you cared about this tour and about these shows,” she shared in a speech, per The Hollywood Reporter . “I think that you’ll see that you’re absolutely a main character in the film, because it was your magic and your attention to detail and your sense of humor and the ways that you lean into what I’m doing and the music I create.”

Taylor continued: “In my mind, it is the perfect capture of what this show was like for me.”

She also thanked moviegoers “for being so incredibly extra” at the shows. “I appreciate it more than you know,” she added. “This night is like an extremely core memory for me, so you’re apart of it and I’m so grateful for that.”

Hayley Williams is ready to hit the road with longtime pal, Taylor Swift ! The Paramore  frontwoman gushed over Swift's new album, The Tortured Poets Department , while offering a tease of the band's upcoming Eras Tour run. 

The 35-year-old musician took to her Instagram Story on Monday, after enjoying an electric Record Store Day over the weekend, to share a handful of her current favorite albums. Unsurprisingly, Swift's TTPD made the list. 

"Had me from the storytelling alone, my friend," Williams wrote. "Every one of us knows this kind of grief! It's so impressive to me how specific and colorful Taylor's words get without ever losing the universal thread. I'm so ready to be tour-mates." 

Also receiving honorable mentions from Williams were Beyoncé 's  Cowboy Carter , Brittany Howard's What Now , Rufus Wainwright's Want One , Bee Gees' Main Course , Tierra Whack's World Wide Whack , Radiohead's The Bends , The Smile's Wall of Eyes , Blonde Redhead's Sit Down for Dinner  and Idles' Tangk . 

Paramore is set to open for Swift on her Eras Tour when it resumes on May 9 in Paris, France. The band will continue to tour with her through her remaining international tour dates, which includes a whopping eight shows at London's Wembley Stadium . 

The dates come less than a year after Paramore's headlining This Is Why tour was derailed due to a lung infection for Williams. At the time, Williams shared with fans that she would be using her downtime to "dive head first into creating some better routines" and getting back into "the creative process." 

"For me, when we get into this mode it always feels nice to disappear in a way," she admitted in a post on Discord . "Maybe this time I will be able to find balance between the disappearing and yet not completely shutting out the world. But probably not." 

It was last summer that Swift, 34, announced that Williams' band would be joining her on the Eras Tour around the same time she dropped  Speak Now (Taylor's Version) . On the rerecorded full-length, Williams is featured on the from-the-vault track, "Castles Crumbling."

"Really can’t contain my excitement because… we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour," Swift shared in July 2023. "And I get to travel the world doing shows with Paramore!! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???" 

In  a recent interview  with  Jimmy Fallon on  The Tonight Show , Williams spilled details on how she and Swift first became friends back in 2008. 

"Me and Taylor met because both of us -- Paramore and Taylor -- were nominated for Best New Artist the same year at the GRAMMYS," she said. 

Though the late Amy Winehouse took the trophy that night, Williams and Swift ended up at the same after-party.

"We were at some GRAMMY party -- it was actually Timbaland's GRAMMY party. [It was] huge. I was very nervous," Williams recalled. "But a woman came up to me and she said, 'I'm Taylor Swift's mom and, you know, Taylor doesn't have a lot of friends her age that do music. And I would love to, like, you know, introduce you guys or get your number or whatever.'"

"So Andrea, the legend that she is, she connected us," Williams added, referencing Taylor's mom, Andrea Swift.

Swift's 11th studio album,  The Tortured Poets D epartment , and its lead single, " Fortnight " featuring  Post Malone , were released on Friday to much fanfare. 

In terms of traditional album sales,  Billboard  reports that Swift's  TTPD  sold 1.4 million copies --  including CD, vinyl, cassette and digital download versions -- in its first day alone. This surpasses her own biggest sales week, when  1989 (Taylor's Version)  sold 1.359 million copies. All signs indicate that  TTPD  will be making a massive, record-shattering debut when tracking for its first week concludes on Thursday, April 25. 

The 31-track collection --  which turned out to be a surprise double album  -- features a hefty helping of  heartbreak songs  following her splits from  Joe Alwyn  and  Matty Healy , as well as a few  sweet love songs  amid her current relationship with  Travis Kelce . 

"She has put her heart and soul into the music, just like with everything she does," a source told ET about the album, "and can't wait for her fans to listen to it and to share it with them."

Emily Blunt Reveals What Taylor Swift Told Her Daughter That Almost Made Her Faint

Emily blunt, a self-proclaimed colossal swiftie, recently shared a sweet compliment taylor swift paid to her and john krasinski’s daughter..

Emily Blunt 's daughter might not look like Clara Bow , but Taylor Swift  still thought she was dazzling. 

The Fall Guy actress recently detailed an encounter her and John Krasinski 's eldest daughter  Hazel , 10, had with the "Fortnight" singer. 

"She's the nicest," Emily said of Taylor on the April 29 episode of Howard Stern . "She was so nice to my kids. My oldest kid has just cut all of her hair off, this very short haircut that she was very self-conscious about. And Taylor Swift, goes like, ‘God, look at you, you're just this ‘60s Beatnik cool kid. I love your style.'"

And Emily—who also shares daughter Violet , 7, with the Office alum—said the compliment certainly made Hazel feel plucked like a rose. 

"I thought my child was going to faint," she recalled. "It was the best thing anyone has done for my child."

Gushing over Taylor once more, the Devil Wears Prada actress added, "She's very cool."

Of course, this isn't the first time Emily has spoken highly of the "Karma" singer. Earlier this month, the 41-year-old declared herself a "colossal" Swiftie, quipping, "Isn't everyone?"

And she even shared her current favorite track from the Miss Americana star's discography. 

"'Cruel Summer,'" she told Access Hollywood . "I'd say is pretty up there for me."

And while Emily now considers herself a fan of Taylor—and said she'll even attend the Eras Tour in August—the duo actually go way back.

Taylor Swift fans think the pop star could be making changes to her Eras Tour!

The Grammy winner, 34, has been sharing YouTube Shorts as of late with The Tortured Poets Department -related content. Her eleventh studio album was released just in time for the European leg of her Eras Tour and Swifties are convinced that her latest rehearsal clip hints at songs from the new collection joining the setlist.

“HOW IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE TTPD SIGN SHES LEANING AGAINST?! OR WHAT ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE DANCERS ARE IN TOP HATS!?! ALL OF THIS IS NEW, ” YouTube user @bethanymills1293 commented on the clip.

Swift’s YouTube Shorts video is set to her new single “Fortnight,” which features Post Malone . 

In the music video for the track, the “Clara Bow” singer can be seen sitting in a room full of typewriters around the 1:39 mark. The men in the background are all wearing top hats.

Fans think that the superstar may begin incorporating elements of the new album into her shows when the Eras Tour picks back up in Paris in May.

As part of the TTDP rollout, Swift told Amazon Music that "Fortnight" "exhibits a lot of the common themes that run throughout this album," one of the biggest being "fatalism — longing, pining away, lost dreams."

"I think that it’s a very fatalistic album in that there are lots of very dramatic lines about life or death. ‘I love you, it’s ruining my life.’ These are very hyperbolic, dramatic things to say,” she said . “It’s that kind of album.”

When iHeartRadio premiered the album during a special listening event, Swift shared some more “Fortnight” tidbits.

“A lot of the songs on The Tortured Poets Department deal with the idea of heartbreak or loss in a metaphor of something else,” she said while introducing the song. 

Since the album’s extended Anthology edition was released on April 19, it has already hit 1 billion Spotify streams in under a week. 

The record-breaking 31-track album has eclipsed two of Swift's own albums — Midnights and 1989 (Taylor's Version) — which previously held the record.

Much of the album’s success can be attributed to having “Fortnight” as the breakout single. 

"I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever," she wrote on Instagram after announcing it would be the album's first single.

"I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight."

Bachelor Nation has been mostly supportive of Becca Tilley’s romance with Hayley Kiyoko. Fans are even hoping the two will tie the knot soon.

However, as with any public persona, Becca Tilley gets her fair share of online hate. This season of The Bachelor was among the worst for contestants and social media . But Tilley has a unique approach to dealing with the hate.

In response to a question from a fan, Becca Tilley shared her strategy, “I go look at their profile, say some mean things back to them in my head and then try to just move on.”

She added that it took “A LOT of time” before she started ignoring the trolls. She also revealed that ignoring doesn’t always work. “Depends on the day,” Tilley admitted.

Does Bachelor Star Miss Dating Men?

As we mentioned, fans have been supportive of Becca Tilley’s love life, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t curious. One follower asked her if she misses dating men.

The reality star shut down the idea with one simple word: “No.” Nothing else to say about that!

However, she did confess that she couldn’t have denied her feelings for Hayley Kiyoko if she tried.
