I booked travel insurance with Just…

I booked travel insurance with Just Travel for a 2 week Caribbean cruise at the time of booking the trip. This was a year in advance of the trip which I thought was sensible and covers any unfortunate occurrences if problems arise. At a later date my wife who was included on the cover developed a medical condition and I promptly informed Just Travel who informed me I would need to pay an additional amount to cover this condition. My argument is that surely the insurance should cover these unfortunately problems but apparently not. Why on earth do you take insurance cover if it turns out you are not covered when your health deteriorates during the term of the cover. Now what makes this more annoying is that we had an annual European travel insurance policy with another reputable travel insurance company and when I informed that insurer they stated that because I had already taken the insurance cover that we were covered and no extra premium was required. This to me seems logical and is probably a better insurance company. The moral of my experience is be careful using Just Travel because if you need to claim they will do every thing to get more money from you. When I raised this with Just Travel they said it was the under writers problem AIG and I should talk to them.

The Go Extra Cover Silver is an…

The Go Extra Cover Silver is an excellent product. Benefits are slightly less than one or two other big providers but their cost is much cheaper. The staff are very helpful and knowledgable. I've used them for past 3 years and will continue to do so. I also monitor their performance against other providers.

Affordable cover with great service

We have used Just Travel for the past years.Today was renewal day which I wasn't looking forward to given my husband had a heart attack and CABG last year whilst on holiday in Turkey which the insurance we had via Just Travel fully covered. Today Danielle provided great service friendly polite and patient and found us a new policy within our budget providing all the cover we need, even taking time to clarify the medical underwriters on the new policy, thank you. We've recommended Just Travel to many friends and will continue to do so.

It all felt very straight forward

It all felt very straight forward . The chap did not treat me like a geriatric idiot. Was chatty but professional . He was not obviously reading from a script. There was a feeling of good personal service which I fear is sadly lacking in so many on line or telephone services. Dread the march of AI. Personal touch is so much better.

If in doubt give them a shout - I done an online quote for an annual…

I done an online quote for an annual cover for my wife and l - but l wasnt sure l had included our health details I called the number and l was guided through my application. I had missed the health section which we quickly added and completed by application and purchased the policy. As the saying goes better to be safe not sorry.

The first quote I received said that I had no health issues, although I had listed one. I saved this quote and decided to do a second one the next day. This time everything was listed for myself and my wife. Although we both have some, minor, health issue I feel we were offered insurance at a reasonable price. It’s quick and easy to enter the information required, but I would suggest you need to check everything before accepting one of the quotes.

Pre existing conditions covered!!

After three days of trying to get travel insurance due to medical issues, not only did I find one with all pre existing conditions covered but also zero excess and very very cheap too. Brilliant service. Definitely recommend

I like Just Travel because they are Polite and Professional

I like Just Travel because they are a local company and customers can speak to a member of staff. Everything is explained fully as is any queries I have. A good company to use for the over 70’s…

A good company to use for the over 70’s with medical conditions. I have used them previously but found that they frequently recorded my answers to their medical questions wrongly. So despite their competitive prices I switched to another company for a while. I decided to try them again and this time not a single error and a cheaper price than than the other company. I shall be back.

Really frustrating claim. Avoid

Seemed helpful and reasonably priced. Unfortunately had to make a claim when we returned from holiday. Took two calls to be sent the correct forms. Completed and returned within 1 day and received an email confirming receipt and stating it would be processed within 5 working days. Following numerous emails phone calls and errors the claim was finally settled after 2 months. It then took them a further 6 weeks to deal with the resulting complaint. Avoid!

Our suitcase was delayed and turned up…

Our suitcase was delayed and turned up three days later, with both handles smashed. After nearly a month of correspondence we received nothing. Just travel require a receipt of cost for ANY item claimed. Eventually they would consider a repair ( damaged beyond sensible repair ) After investigation, with an approved specialist, the cost (mine) on getting an assessment was not viable. Dreadful company, will never use them again.

They are friendly, helpful and always only to happy to answer questions and find alternative options if I ask also make suggestions which could be helpful. Have used them for several years now and nothing is too much trouble.

Don't bother - our claim is being handled by 'CSA Ltd' who are appalling. The claims platform isn't great and doesn't show you a list of documents you've already uploaded. It doesn't even tell you where the claim is up to. Aside from the initial confirmation I've heard nothing. Tried to ring and couldn't get through. Tried to email and received nothing back. This will probably end up being escalated to the Ombudsman as judging from the other reviews, 'CSA Ltd' are pretty much incompetent. I won't be taking out another policy through Just Travel Cover and I plead others reading this look elsewhere.

We recommend that you take your Travel Insurance policy wording with you when you travel, so that you have these contact details to hand if you need them, but don’t forget you can also access these online anytime via your online account.

Travel Insurance Tip: Take Your Policy Wording With You When You Travel

Whether you are travelling with a pre-existing medical condition or not it is important that you have appropriate Travel Insurance in place before you travel, it’s also very important that you take your travel insurance policy wording with you so that you have all the details handy.

If something happens whilst you are away and you need to make a claim on your policy, read the terms and conditions to see if there’s anything you need to do in order for your claim to be accepted.

For instance:

• if you need medical treatment, you may need to call the emergency support line before receiving medical treatment so that they can authorise cover.
• if your bag is lost or stolen you will generally need to obtain a police report to support your claim.
• if your flight is delayed, get a letter from your airline confirming the length of delay and the reason for the delay
• keep receipts for any medical treatment you pay for upfront.
