News: Loreen Announces UK and European ‘The Tattoo’ Tour 2023
Following her historic win at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, pop iconoclast, Loreen today announces her UK and European tour: The Tattoo Tour 2023. Kicking off her tour in Dublin on Tuesday 7 November, Loreen will make stops throughout the UK and Europe including Glasgow and London and cities across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia before concluding in Lithuania on Friday 1 December. Full list of UK & European tour dates is below. Sign up HERE for EXCLUSIVE presale access on Wednesday 24th May. Tickets go on sale on Friday 26 May 2023 at 10am HERE .
Loreen became the first woman—and only the second person ever—to win the contest twice with hit single “Tattoo” (written by the same people behind 2012’s winning electropop stomper, “Euphoria”). “Tattoo” debuted at #1 on the Big Top 40 chart and #2 on the Official Singles Chart behind Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding’s “Miracle” on Friday 19 May. She now shares the highest UK chart position for a non-UK Eurovision entry with Irish singer, Johnny Logan’s “Hold Me Now” victory in 1987. Watch the Eurovision grand final performance of “Tattoo” below:
Sweden now holds the 3 biggest downloaded Eurovision songs of all time. “Tattoo” (1) has accumulated more than 74 million total Spotify streams, “Euphoria” (2) which helped to single-handedly shift the perception of Eurovision and topped the charts in 21 countries and Abba’s “Waterloo” (3). Elsewhere, “Tattoo” catapulted to #1 in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Slovenia, and Switzerland across Spotify, Apple Music, Shazam and Deezer charts.
Loreen says: “I’m so thrilled to finally go on a European tour & to invite you all into my universe. The Tattoo tour will be the first European tour I’ve done in a while & I’m beyond excited to be back on stage and meet everyone that has supported me through this journey. The connections I’ve made these years mean the world to me & to finally be able to meet you all again is a dream come true.”.

Iconic band announce anniversary tour more than 20 years after earworm hit single
Share this with
Get your raving shoes on – Scooter are back with a massive comeback tour hitting venues across the UK.
The German techno band – made up of H. P. Baxxter, Marc Blou, Jay Frog, and Jens Thele – are embarking on their 30th-anniversary tour later this year with shows in London , Manchester , Birmingham , Newcastle, Dublin, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Cardiff.
It comes more than 20 years after the release of their smash hit single The Logical Song, originally by Supertramp, which reached number 2 in the UK Singles Charts.
Tickets for the shows go on pre-sale on Wednesday, April 10, at 10am, followed by general sale on Friday, April 12 also at 10am.
The tour coincides with the release of the band’s milestone 21st studio album Open Your Mind and Your Trousers, including singles Rechno is Back, Rave & Shout, Waste Your Youth, and For Those About To Rave.
Scooter kicked off the mammoth tour in Germany last month, with it continuing through Europe until the group arrive on UK shores in October and November.
The four-piece formed in 1993 and has sold a whopping 30 million records to date, earning more than 80 gold and platinum music awards/
They have landed 23 top ten hits, and are considered the most commercially successful German single-record act.
Scooter have produced several well-known singles across the world, including Hyper Hyper, How Much Is the Fish?, Maria, Jumping Over The World, and The Question Is What Is the Question?.
They released The Logical Song in 2001, which became the band’s highest-charting single of their career and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
It was the 15th best-selling single of 2002 and was one of the anthems synonymous with rave culture in the 2000s.
Scooter’s music – especially their wacky lyrics that have experienced plenty of praise on TikTok – as well as their wild outfits, Baxxter’s luminous bleach blonde hair, and pyrotechnic-filled performances have seen them become household names across the globe.
@thegmanshow Lyrical genius! #fyp #scooter ♬ original sound – 🏴 The Gman Show
Speaking to City Magazine in 2019, vocalist Baxxter reflected on the impact Scooter have had on the electronic music industry.
‘I’ve always loved bands with strong stage presence. When I was a teenager listening to hard rock, I loved Deep Purple’s Ritchie Blackmore, who destroyed his guitar at every concert.
‘Even then, I knew it was a staged part of the show, but that didn’t diminish the excitement I felt when he smashed it. When I think about the pyrotechnics we used on the first tours, compared to today’s explosive shows, I just smile.’
Speaking about their legendary live shows, he continued: ‘At one point we were spending more on pyrotechnics than we could make in tickets, but we could afford it because the shows were selling massive amounts of records.
‘Every single we put out went gold or platinum, and then all of a sudden, albums started selling. Of course, this has completely changed, but fortunately, pyrotechnics have also become cheaper and we don’t have to dwell on it.’

Missy Elliott , whose career has provided the very definition of “leave ’em wanting more,” has long resisted touring, but that’s changing in 2024. Along with some high-profile support acts, the hip-hop icon will embark on a tour of arenas in 24 cities this year — shockingly, the first time she’s toured as a headliner in her entire career, which began with a bang in the 1990s.
Supporting her along the way will be a trio of figures that are also instantly recognizable to anyone who knows Elliott’s career: Busta Rhymes , Ciara and Timbaland .
Scott-Young credits a key historic milestone for spurring Elliott into action. The call that she was read came “probably after the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. I think that was a seismic moment for her as well, where she realized that this was a goal and a dream that she had been working so hard to attain. And now that she felt that she had achieved that pinnacle, she wanted to really do this thing that she put off for so long, which was go out on the road. It certainly wasn’t for lack of opportunity or offers. I think it was the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame of it.”
The tour — dubbed “Out of This World: The Missy Elliott Experience Tour” — begins July 4 in Vancouver and wraps up Aug. 22 in Rosemont, Illinois. Key stops along the way include shows July 11 at L.A,’s Crypto Arena, Aug. 9 at Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center and Aug. 12 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The outing will also take her to cities including Boston, Detroit, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Oakland, Seattle, Austin, Houston, Tampa, Baltimore, Montreal and Toronto.
“This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone ‘firsts,'” Elliott said in a statement. “Being the FIRST female hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my FIRST headline tour,. Fans have been asking me to tour forever but I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big, and I had to do it with family!”
The tour is being produced by Live Nation in association with Scott-Young, CEO of Monami Entertainment.
In recent years, Elliott has performed at some isolated festival dates, where she has bowled crowds over, along with a gig last year at Southern California’s Yamavaa Casino, which Variety reviewed , openly wondering why this show was not on the road. (The show was also ranked by Variety as one of the best concerts of the year at the end of 2023.)
Says Scott-Young, “I mean, look, she’s always been ahead of her time and as much as we’ve heard, ‘Well, so why did you wait so long?,’ she was just like, ‘It wasn’t that I was waiting — it’s just the timing is now.’ And Missy is very absolute about knowing exactly when she feels it is time to do something. So yeah, when we did the Yamavaa Casino, we all had the same reaction you did. Like, oh my God, this is fantastic, and we should be taking this around the country, around the world.”
The full lineup was a key part of why Elliott was willing to do this now, says the manager-producer.
“For Missy it was very important that when she embarked on this journey, she did it with what she’s calling her family,” Scott-Young says. “Busta and Missy have been twins for so long; people have compared them in terms of their unique ability to really think outside of the box, in terms of their personas, in terms of their music. So people have always wanted to see them do something together. And for me, that’s kind of a personal milestone, because I’ve managed them both for many years, and now still to this day am intricately involved with both of their careers and their lives. So to see them together on that stage is going to be a personal moment for me. And of course, Ciara has worked with her and they’ve become friends, and she looks to Missy as a mentor. She has such a dynamic stage show herself and is a pop star in her own right. And of course, Timbaland, who I call her partner in rhyme; those two have a long history.
“So from beginning to end, I will say this, it will be a seamless experience,” Scott-Young says, while declining to say exactly what format individual or collective sets might take. “I think everyone is aware they all have songs that they’ve collaborated on together. So of course we want the show to feel like a family affair.”

Scott-Young says she’s met with disbelief when she reminds industry supporters that there has never been a proper Elliott tour, despite her rise to fame in the ’90s, even as she participated in group road shows like Lilith Fair back in the day.
“Everybody that I tell this is her first headline, they go, ‘Oh, no, no, no.’ Then they’re like, ‘Oh crap, you’re right.’ Because her presence is so powerful and we felt her throughout music for the last three decades. But the idea that she has never done great stages across the country is a little mind-boggling when you think of that, because she’s always felt so omnipresent.”
Is that just-as-elusive-a-thing — a full new album, which would be her first since 2005, if it were to come to be — also possible? “I mean, I would always say with Missy, you can never say never,” Scott-Young says. “And you can also never predict. I think we all thought this moment would never come, that we would see her headlining a tour, and here we are. So I would never say no. That’s all I will say about Missy Elliott.”
Scott-Young already had a big year ahead with a tour that will bring together XSCAPE and SWV along with Mya, Total and 702. “2024 is the year of intention for me. Everything that I’ve set my mind to and become determined to see come to life is coming to fruition. To put up these two tours within weeks of each other is unprecedented week and they were both very, very important to me personally for different reasons.”
The XSCAPE/SWV/et al. concept “came about as a result of the show that I did on Bravo, ‘The Queens of R&B,’ where the goal was to take the ladies out on a tour,” before a contretemps got in the way of that. Then, “we were able to come back together and realize that, collectively, they were stronger, leaning into just the women empowerment and supporting each other. These ladies put their differences aside to give the fans what they want. … This show is gonna be a women’s anthem from start to finish. It’s just a symbol of the resilience of women overcoming adversity, coming up on the other side, triumphant and celebrating their talents and gifts and sharing it with the world.”
As for Elliott and company, “Don’t take the tour itself for granted, the manager is urging: “All I’ll say is this: we never know when this will happen again,” Scott-Young says. “So this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I know what we’re getting ready to deliver on that stage.”

- O. share new single "176" and announce EU/UK tour dates
O. – the London-based duo of baritone saxophonist Joe Henwood and drummer Tash Keary – have shared the new single, “176”, which is taken from their forthcoming debut album, WeirdOs .
Following on the heels of their lead single “Green Shirt”, the new single “176” sees the duo combining their heavier sensibilities with their more groove inflected hip-hop influences to create something both colossal and danceable. Speaking on the single, the band say it was written “in tribute to the 176 night bus and the unpredictable journeys on board. Always a banger live, we feel like we've captured that heavy energy on record with some help from Dan Carey's distortion machines."
Going on to speak about the album, the band says, “ WeirdOs is a dark, heavy album based around our love of riffy basslines, blast beats, dub, noise, and all the weird sounds in between. It was recorded live across 2 weeks in the studio with Dan Carey and aims to replicate the feeling of being at one of our gigs.” Alongside the single, the band have also announced a run of EU / UK live dates including shows in London, Paris, Hamburg, Berlin, and Amsterdam.
WeirdOs is set for release on 21 June via Speedy Wunderground, and is available to pre-order now . For more information on their live dates, visit otheband.com .

As aforementioned, Glass Animals recently shared details of their upcoming album and dropped the lead single from the project in the form of ‘Creatures In Heaven’ .
Speaking about its existential themes, frontman Dave Bayley said: “It’s about a moment in time, be it a split second or a year or whatever, having the capacity to be enormously formative and life-changing.
“Even if it is over. Or if it doesn’t go as planned. Or if it dies too soon. It is still fucking beautiful. The love and care and the feeling in that moment lives forever. It never really dies. If that’s how you choose to see it.”
The announcement follows the news last week that the band will play two shows later this year – in Wild West, California on April 11 and Mexico City on April 15 .
Glass Animals’ last new music was 2020’s ‘Dreamland’, a record which NME gave four stars : “‘Dreamland’ is stuffed with effervescent nuggets of pop gold. It’s a sun-drenched record of summer tunes that will sound even better when heard at festivals with a tinnie in hand. Yet look behind glittering shells of these tunes and you’ll find hugely personal stories, told with new strength and resilience.”
NME also spoke with Glass Animals in 2022, where they shared their experiences about working with Florence Welch : “I learned so much from [Florence]. We did a bunch of sessions for the new album, and I was blown away. I was like, ‘Woah, how do I compete with this real force of nature when it comes to songwriting?’
He continued: “I had to hold my own and I think we made a really wicked album. She’s a brilliant songwriter. Shout out to Florence: thank you for letting me work on your record, I feel really lucky.”
