How to Reach Nepal

By Air : A fast and convenient option, multiple airlines from all major Indian cities fly to Nepal, and most flights have layovers. The Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu is the only international airport in the country. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to reach Kathmandu from Delhi by air. Another international airport, the Pokhara Regional International Airport, is also under construction and set to open in early 2022. International carriers such as AirAsia, Bhutan Airlines, Etihad, Malaysia Airlines, etc., operate flights to Kathmandu. If you choose air travel, book your tickets early, as seats can fill up quickly.

By Train : Trains from Southern Nepal connect travellers via the Sirsiya to Raxaul (India) route. You can also travel from Delhi to Kathmandu by train. The journey is affordable, easy, and quite an adventure. Indians travelling to Nepal do not require a visa via train, and you will find regular passenger and cargo trains.

By Road : Buses are common and a convenient mode of travel to and in Nepal. Direct buses operate from Delhi to Kathmandu. Travelling by car is also very common, but traffic can make the journey expensive. Toll fees and transport permits are necessary if you travel in private vehicles. You can also take a taxi from Sunauli and head to Bhairahawa bus station to Kathmandu. The regions where border-crossing is allowed are Sunauli in UP, Raxaul in Bihar, Banbasa in Uttarakhand, and Panitanki in West Bengal.

Food in Nepal

Nepalese cuisine consists of many delicious items, and you will find great similarities between the delicacies served in India and Nepal. Nepal is open to international travellers. According to an update released on January 04, 2022, no quarantine rules apply to fully vaccinated tourists. However, you must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before travelling. Due to the growing risk of Omicron, Nepal has imposed restrictions on entry (including transit or travel history within the past three weeks) from South Africa, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Malawi, Namibia, and Eswatini.

• A Covid-19 Negative test report from an RT-PCR test administered 72 hours before departure must be submitted. 
• You must produce a CCMC form along with your vaccination certificate, hotel booking, and mountaineering/trekking/other permits (if applicable).
• Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travellers need to quarantine for ten days, and they may get their visa from Nepal’s Diplomatic Mission before departure.

Hello It was a wonderful experience of Nepal tour for us. All arrangements were up to the mark. Transport with the bus was swift and the driver and the helper were skillful, helpful and polite. The local guide, Bhim was well versed, informative and polite. Itinerary was well planned and apt. All the hotels were nice, clean and tidy. Food was excellent. Last but not least, our tour manager, Ashish Dandekar, took very good care of us throughout the tour and paid personal attention to everyone. This was our second tour with Veena World after Leh Ladakh last year, in May 2023 which also we enjoyed a lot and coincidentally the tour manager was a "Dandekar" - not Ashish but Sameer! Tour Guests will arrive at Kathmandu Airport as per their Scheduled flight. Upon arrival they will meet Veena World tour manager at the airport and proceed to Hotel. In the evening we have a short Meet & Greet session.

Kathmandu – Chitwan (2 Nights)

Today enroute to Chitwan we enjoy a scenic ropeway ride to visit the Manakamana Devi Temple - a sacred place of the Hindu Goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Parvati. Later we proceed to Chitwan – the first National Park of Nepal and a UNESCO world heritage site. In the evening we enjoy the Folk dance of Nepal.

Delhi to Kathmandu Adventure

Our Delhi to Kathmandu tour with G Adventures was fantastic. The itinerary itself was 'spot on' and covered everywhere we wanted to see/do/experience. The optional activities (such as a hot-air balloon ride, Indian cooking class, paragliding and a flight over Everest) were the perfect "extras" that just lifted the whole experience to an adventure. The last thing though that really made it special for us was that G Adventures have a policy of supporting local business, charities etc so it felt so good to visit these two countries and feel that we were able to 'give some tangible back'. We achieved this by staying in local hotels rather than the large chain hotels; visited charities that help locals (including one that helped victims of human trafficking) and stayed in purpose built 'chalets' in a village mixing with the locals. All in all it was a superb opportunity and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to truly experience these two amazing countries.

We had an amazing and memorable two person trip through India and Nepal. We had an excellent guide and driver in India from Delhi to Udaipur stopping at five cities and visiting incredible sites. As you arrive at the airport, one of our representatives welcomes you and assists you to transfer to the hotel. The other half day is kept for sightseeing of New Delhi that includes famous places such as Qutub Minar , Lotus Temple and Humayun's tomb .

The tourist places also include the President's house and the Secretariat buildings with famous India Gate . There are other places that are covered including the War Memorial, the Modern Hindu temple and the Birla Mandir .

Day 2 : Delhi - Agra

In the morning, after taking our breakfast, we move towards the city of Agra . We get into a pre-booked hotel where you relax and get ready for the journey. We make you enjoy uninterrupted and magnificent views of the wonderful Taj Mahal . In the afternoon we make you witness the Agra Fort along with other fascinations that includes Pearl Mosque, the Hall of Public Audiences, the Hall of Private Audiences, The Octagonal Tower, the Jehangir Palace and the Mahal, a private palace . Overnight stay in the hotel is planned.

Day 3 : Agra - Delhi

On this day we drive back to Delhi that takes nearly 5 hours. Overnight stay at the hotel is planned.

Day 4 : Delhi to Kathmandu by Flight

As we arrive at Kathmandu, one of our representatives greets you and assists you to a pre-booked hotel. In the afternoon we embark on the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city , Durbar Square and Swayambhunath .

Day 5 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu

This day is dedicated to witness the city of Kathmandu. We embark on the sightseeing of Pashupatinath temple , Boudhanath stupa & Patan . Boudhanath is the largest stupa in the valley with 36m high. Pashupatinath Temple is considered the most sacred and revered.

Day 6 : Sightseeing tour - Nagarkot

On this day we take you on a guided tour of Changunarayan, Bhaktapur and drive to Nagarkot for an overnight comfortable stay. The Changu Narayan temple is one of the most revered temples in the region. There is also Bhaktapur, which renders exquisite art and architecture. The Nagarkot is also situated at an elevation of 2175m that is a delightful sight.

Day 7 : Nagarkot - Pokhara

As we finish our breakfast, we take you to the airport to fly to Pokhara . In the afternoon, we go for sightseeing of Pokhara that includes the famous Phewa Lake . As far as the Pokahra is concerned, it constitutes an enchanting Himalayan valley that lies in the lap of a tranquil valley. On the other hand, you will be amazed with the serenity of Phewa Lake. The magnificent Fish tailed also rises gracefully. You will also be visiting the World Peace Pagoda, Davis Fall, Barahi Temple, Brinde Basini Temple etc.. and there after an hour's boating in Phewa Lake . Overnight stay in the hotel is planned.

Day 8 : Pokhara - Kathmandu

In the morning hours, we move towards Pokhara. On the arrival in the vicinities of Kathmandu, we make you transfer to the hotel where you take ample of rest and get ready for another journey. Overnight stay at the hotel is planned.

Day 9 : Kathmandu - Delhi

On the very last day of your journey, we make sure that you get the best out of the tour. As we transfer you to the airport for your onward journey, we make sure that you get your flight in time and in comfortable manner. The tour ends with us at Travelogy India but not the sweet memories. This is where it reigns supreme.
