Question and answers

1. do you like to travel by car why, 2. where is the farthest place you have traveled to by car.

Yes, I like travelling by car. I’ve had my license for a few years now, and it’s always really fun to drive. I also love taking road trips with my friends . The farthest place I’ve travelled to by car is to a beach with my friends, which took us five hours. It was such a long drive but totally worth it .

3. Do you like to sit in the front seat or back seat when travelling by car?

I prefer the front seat because it gives you a better view of the landscape and the area you’re driving through. When I’m in the back, I can sometimes get carsick . I feel really nauseous , which is the worst. So it’s definitely better being in the front.

4. When do you travel by car?

1 : Well, normally I only travel by car when I go on a trip with my parents. We usually take a road trip to somewhere not too far away from our hometown during holidays or weekends. But on school days, I mostly use public transportation to commute to school.

2 : I actually drive to work every day, so I technically travel by car pretty often. However, when it comes to longer trips, I prefer to travel by train. Driving is nice, but you have to stay focused on the road. As a passenger on a train, you can just sit back and enjoy the nice views.

IELTS Speaking Part 1 Car trip

part 1 car trip

Q1. Do you like to travel by car?

Yes, travelling by car appeals to me. I find it not only convenient but also time-saving. Unlike a bus, you need not wait, and you have the freedom of reaching your place as per your comfort.

Q2. When do you travel by car?

Whenever I travel through a highway, I prefer a car because of the speed and comfort. Apart from this, if there is torrential rain or scorching heat, I commute through it.

Q3. Where is the farthest place you have travelled by car?

Recently I visited Goa with my friends on a car trip. The distance was about 2,500 kilometres, and it took us three days to reach that place. Although the journey was tiring, it was full of thrill and excitement.

Q4. Do you like to sit in the back or front when travelling by car?

Being a driving enthusiast, I prefer to either drive or sit in the front seat. Because I remain more alert and I can enjoy the journey with a more clear view. On the other hand, sitting in the back seat is a big no for me. The reason is the journey becomes monotonous as you get to see the side view only.

Q 5. Do you enjoy going on car trips?

Yes, I like to travel by car, and I have my car. I like to travel on weekends, and I love to travel a lot and explore different places. So yes, I like to drive my car because it gives me Privacy and convenience.

Q 6. How often do you go on car trips?

I work, and my workplace is far from my house. Therefore, I use my car daily and love to travel by car.

Q 7. Who do you usually go on car trips with?

I usually prefer to travel with my friends because they give me self-satisfaction and we enjoy ourselves wherever we go. So everybody does like enjoy with his friend’s company. So I would like to do the same. So, for that reason, I love to travel with my friends.

Q 8. What do you like most about car trips?

For car trips, first of all, I like Privacy, and second, it’s not like other public transportation, like it doesn’t have a specific stop. We can stop wherever we can, and it’s very handy, and also we can enjoy the picturesque view during our journey. So, for all these reasons, I love to travel by car.

Q 9. What’s your favorite destination for a car trip?

For a car trip, there is a place near to my city. We called it Tobermory.

It is located on an island, like all surrounding beaches. So there is only one way to travel over there. It’s the long bridge.

So, whenever we travel on the bridge, it gives us a pleasant feeling and a very different kind of extraordinary pleasant view because we are surrounded by seawater, and it seems like we are driving on the water’s surface. That is why it is the perfect place to drive by car.

Q10. How do you usually prepare for a car trip?

For a car trip, first, I inspect my car to ensure it stays like it is. I think everybody should check their car before driving. If there is a minor issue, it could be a disaster for us and can ruin our journey.

For that reason, I first check whether my car is working perfectly. And the second thing I prepare like a fuel tank. I fill my fuel tank.

Apart from that, I keep every accessory I need during my travels.

Q11. Do you prefer driving or being a passenger during a car trip?

I love to drive rather than become a passenger. But yes, I like to become a passenger whenever we go to a destination like I mentioned, Tobermory. I think passengers can enjoy themselves a lot and see many things surrounding them compared to the driver because the driver should focus only on the road. So he enjoys it but cannot as much as a passenger does.

Q12. What are some essential items you take with you on a car trip?

On a car trip, firstly, I took everything necessary for my car, like the spare tire, the car jack, and jump cables, and in the first case scenario. Apart from that, I also bring some personal belongings like snacks, a water bottle, and a first aid kit.

It’s my top priority during my travel.

Q13.Have you ever had any memorable experiences during a car trip?

I haven’t had any memorable occasions but have a road journey. It is not by car; it’s by bike.

I went on a road trip from Manali to Leh. It’s quite a long journey, around 250 kilometres or something. So it was like all road trips surrounded by misty mountains very close to the China border.

So it has a very pleasant view, and we can do many things and activities there. We can go camping, we can go hiking, and we can explore things over there. So that’s a memorable trip for me.

Q14. Do you think car trips are a good way to explore new places?

Yes, car trips are very convenient and helpful if we have to explore anything because we can go anywhere we want by car rather than public transport.

1. Do you like to travel by car?

Yes, driving is my passion! I think cars made our lives a lot easier. I drive Hyundai Verna nowadays and it’s fun to drive especially during the monsoon season.

Yes, I like to travel by car. I find it very convenient and time-saving compared to taking public transport. I have a bike too but I prefer taking the car, especially during the hot summer days.

2. When do you travel by car?

I drive almost everyday to and fro between home & office. Occasionally, I also travel by car to see my grand mother at our native village.

I like to travel by car when I am going to places in my town or nearby cities (2-3 hours). For longer journeys, I prefer the train to the car. The roads in many parts of my country are not in bad shape, so car trip for long journeys is unsafe and uncomfortable.

3. Which is the farthest place you have ever travelled by car?

The farthest place I’ve travelled by car till date is Katra in Jammu & Kashmir . There is a famous holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi located in Trikuta mountains. It was an enchanting car trip that I made with my family.

The farthest place I have been to by car is Jaipur, Rajasthan . It was a very last-minute trip as my grandmother got sick and we couldn’t find any train tickets. My father and I took turns driving the car and reached there in about half a day.

4. Do you like to sit on the front seat or back seat when travelling by car?

Well..most of the time I am on driver’s seat. Actually, I am the only one who knows how to drive a car in my family. Moreover, I like to drive upfront. I’ve always been passionate about vehicles, spending all my spare time as a teenager driving cars.

I like to sit on the front row either driving the car or on the passenger side. The front seat has a better view and I like to keep a watch on traffic even when I am not driving. I feel in control when I am in the front.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 1: CAR TRAVEL [ANSWERS]

CAR TRAVEL OR CAR TRIP

Do you like to travel by car?

(Answer 1)

Definitely! It’s way more convenient than public transport. I’m more than grateful to have owned a car, especially these days when it’s not completely safe to go to crowded places like stations since the threat ( danger ) of contracting ( becoming affected ) the coronavirus is serious.

(Answer 2)

Yes, I do because undeniably it provides nothing but convenience. However, I don’t have a car so I’m left with no choice ( to make someone feel that they must do something ) but to take a bus or train every single day.

When do you travel by car?

Well, every day, when I go to work and when I need to go to the supermarket. As I said, I don’t use any modes of public transport, especially these days. Although traveling by car is very convenient, I must say it’s incredibly ( extremely ) costly to own a car.

When my friends invite me to travel somewhere – that’s the only time that I can travel by car. However,  these days I don’t have any opportunity because my friends and I temporarily delay ( hold up; keep back ) our travel plans due to the travel restrictions caused by the pandemic.

Where is the farthest place you have traveled to by car?

(Answer 1)

Let me think…I guess when my family went to the neighboring island of our city. If my memory serves me right ( if I remember correctly) , that was four years ago. So we had to take our car on the ferry in order to get to the island and I enjoyed driving around that island because its beauty is just mesmerizing ( very attractive ) .

I suppose when my friends and I traveled to the western part of our state. I don’t know how many miles we had traveled then but we came from the northeast part of our city and it took us almost six hours to reach our destination. That was a great trip but I felt sorry for ( to feel sympathy for someone for the unpleasant situation ) our driver.

Do you like to sit in the front or at the back when traveling by car?

Well, if I’m not the driver, I prefer the back seat because I can rest or sleep. It’s impossible for me to sleep when I sit in the front because I feel like it’s my obligation to have a chat with the driver so he won’t feel drowsy ( sleepy ) , especially if it’s a long-hour drive.

It depends, if I’m asked to sit in the front, then I won’t say no. It’s nice to sit in the front, especially if I’m traveling in scenic ( picturesque; pleasing ) spots, I’ll be able to enjoy the spectacular ( eye-catching; beautiful) view completely since there’s no obstruction ( barrier ) of my eyes.

QUESTIONS:

4. Do you like to sit in the front or back when traveling by car?

HỌC NGAY TỪ VỰNG LIÊN QUAN ĐẾN CHỦ ĐỀ NÀY NHÉ:

–         have a fear of plane crashes : bị sợ máy bay rơi

–         be always behind schedule : lúc nào cũng chạy chậm

–         rush from place to place : chạy sô từ nơi này đến nơi khác

–         slow travel : đi du lịch một cách thong thả

–         catch the scenery : ngắm nhìn cảnh vật

–         follow someone’s schedule : đi theo lịch trình của ai

–         find a compromise : mọi người cùng đồng ý với việc gì

–         This is hardly possible if : (dùng để so sánh với đối tượng khác): sẽ ko được như vậy nếu ….

–         the breathtaking, scenic routes : những đoạn cảnh đẹp mê li

–         pulled over : dừng lại dọc đường

–         see more of the road, of other vehicles in front : nhìn được đường phố, và các xe khác ở trước

–         watch out for potential dangers : để mắt đến nguy hiểm có thể xảy ra

 1. Do you like to travel by car?

Yes, i do. as i don’t like riding cause i’ll get all sweaty , and i am way too scare d of flying as i have a fear of plane crashes , and public transports, like buses, are always behind schedule, so personally, car is my favorite means of transport. when i travel by car, there is no need to rush from place to place . it’s a perfect opportunity for slow travel and take my time . that way, i can catch the scenery and relax, while listening to my favorite music on the road..

2.  When do you travel by car?

When I take a road trip with family or friends, we usually travel by car. We usually spend 1 or 2 days traveling to somewhere near Hanoi. The advantage of traveling by our own car is that we do not have to follow someone’s schedule , it is easy to find a compromise and decide to stop or make a longer pause for rest. It’s like, if someone in our group likes a view of the sunset , we can stop our car and take pictures. This is hardly possible if we are traveling by bus.

3.  Where is the farthest place you have traveled to by car?

The farthest place I have traveled to by car is probably Quang Ninh, which is a coastal city in the north. It took us about 6 hours to get there, and we had many opportunities to experience the breathtaking, scenic routes on the way, and even pulled over several times to enjoy the gorgeous scenery and take photos. I think that was one of the best experiences I have ever had.

4.  Do you like to sit in the front or back when traveling by car?

Well, for me, sitting in the front is much more interesting than in the back, and I often ask to sit in the front seat if that’s possible , as I can see more of the road , of other vehicles in front , and even the scenery along the way seems to be more beautiful from the front seat view. And when I sit in the front, I can also watch out for potential dangers that could happen and warn the driver if that is necessary.

Describe a long journey you travelled by car

ielts speaking part 2

IELTS Speaking Part 2

Describe a long journey you travelled by car You should say: • what it was • when and where it happened • who was involved And explain if you enjoyed it or not.

Sample Recording

I would like to describe quite a long but exciting journey that I went on last week by car from my hometown,  Hue city, to the capital city, Hanoi.

I had three travelling companions in the car with me, who were three of my close friends and we had agreed  on gathering at my house at 5am, which was our point of departure . Actually, I’m quite an early riser , so I  found it quite easy to get up that early and be ready on time. And luckily, the weather that day was really nice,  so we were able to leave the windows down for most of the trip. The fresh air and tranquillity of the countryside made me feel really relaxed but energetic at the same time.

After driving all day, we arrived in Hanoi quite late, by around 6:30pm and continued to drive around the lake a  few times, until about 7pm, when the sun began to set and the streets became a little quieter. After that, we  stopped at our favourite cafe to sip on some coffee and reflect on our long day.

I really enjoyed that car trip because of several reasons. To begin with, it was a great chance for me to see my  country from a very different angle, a road trip with my mates . Usually I would take the train or a plane to  complete that journey. So this was a great way to see things, stopping whenever we liked, if we saw  something that interested us, for example. This car trip also helped me to refresh my mind by just hitting the open road and leaving all my worries behind. It was also a really great opportunity for me and my friends to  enjoy each other’s company and exchange stories along the way from our daily lives. You know, we are often  too busy to meet regularly, so chances like this are really valuable.

Vocabulary highlights:

1. travelling companions – people to travel with

2. gathering – to come together

3. point of departure – place to begin a journey from

4. an early riser – someone who wakes up early every morning eg. at 5am

5. tranquillity – calm, peaceful and quiet

6. sip on – to drink slowly

7. reflect on – to think about

8. mates – friends

9. refresh my mind – to be mentally relaxed

10. hitting the open road – going for a drive somewhere out of the city

11. enjoy each other’s company – to have a good time with someone

A Dusty Trip: How To Get Formula 1 Car

The Formula 1 car is a great vehicle to have access to in A Dusty Trip; here's everything players need to know if they want to get it.

Striving to survive in the lifeless wasteland of A Dusty Trip , players must create their own car , but there are many ways to speed up progress and make survival easier. In addition to the fact that you can make cars yourself, the game offers the opportunity to buy a better car with which you will start each new playthrough.

After a recent update, a Formula 1 car now appears in the game world of A Dusty Trip . This car is definitely cool and efficient on the road, but it's not easy to get. This is a reward only for the most ardent players or those ready to part with a large amount of their Robux.

A Dusty Trip: How To Flip Your Car

How to get formula 1 car in a dusty trip.

The only way to get the Formula 1 car in A Dusty Trip is as a random reward at the Car Spin stand. You can find this stand in the main lobby and try your luck as many times as you like, but it is not that simple. Firstly, the chance of getting a Formula 1 car is the lowest among the rewards; there is only a 0.5% chance . Secondly, you must pay as many as 1,000 caps or 49 Robux for 1 Spin or 399 Robux to make 10 Spins .

However, even if you decide to grind and accumulate caps for dozens of hours, you won’t be able to try your luck forever. The ability to make a Spin for caps is limited to only three attempts per day . And if you want to try again and again without restrictions, you must spend a ton of Robux .

A Dusty Trip: How To Start Your Car

In truth, 0.5% is not the lowest chance of success in the Roblox world, so you can still get what you want pretty quickly. From a statistical point of view, however, the cost of getting a Formula 1 car with a 100% chance can require 8,000 Robux , which is equivalent to about $80.

Those unwilling to invest this amount of money can try to make spins for caps . Farming this in-game currency every day in every possible way and repeatedly trying your luck will eventually get you the desired car. For those who are ready to part with their Robux in the world of A Dusty Trip , however, buying the x2 caps passive ability for 699 Robux is much more profitable than buying Spins for a much larger amount of money.

Car parts are objects that players can interact with to build or maintain a vehicle. These items can be initially found at the starting house but are also scattered throughout various structures across the map.

Below will show six lists of car objects. In price tables next signs mean:

  • - Cannot be bought or sold
  • ~[Number] Can be sold or bought, predicted price
  • N/A Can be sold or bought, unknown price
  • ? Unknown if it can be sold or bought

Note that these lists might not be accurate at some point.

  • 2 Radiators
  • 4 Headlights
  • 5 Parts/Car frame

Engines [ ]

Engines

Every regular engine in the game next to eachother.

A machine designed to convert fuel into mechanical energy to power the wheels.

The engine needs:

  • Fuel: Poured into the gas tank, can be Gas or Diesel depending on the engine.
  • Oil: Poured into the engine cap.
  • A radiator .

There are currently six engines in the game:

Truth bout golden engine

Specifications of golden engine

The Golden Engine, as confirmed by one of the developers, Perth, is the only engine that does not require water, oil, fuel, and does not overheat.

(For god's sake, do not use the Demon Engine, it wastes oil and gas like crazy without offering any useful specs)

Radiators [ ]

Radiators serve as coolers for the engine, preventing overheating.

The car can still operate when the radiator is empty; however, you'll need to shut the engine off temporarily to allow it to cool down. Once the temperature bar reaches the midpoint of the red zone, the engine will automatically shut off. Water consumption remains consistent whether the engine is idling or running at maximum power.

Big and small wheel

The big and the small wheel next to eachother.

Wheels are essential components required for a vehicle to be operational. Without them, driving a vehicle becomes nearly impossible for players, making it very important when building or maintaining a vehicle.

Headlights [ ]

A headlights is a Lamp attached to the front of a vehicle to illuminate the road ahead. Headlights are also often called Headlamps , but in the most precise usage, headlamp is the term for the device itself and headlight is the term for the beam of light produced and distributed by the device.

Parts/Car frame [ ]

A car frame, also known as a chassis, is your car’s structural support system. Made of steel or aluminum. The purpose is to protect all internal car parts and passengers in the event of a collision

Breaking news, french musician becomes first-ever passenger inside flying car: ‘amazing experience’.

A flying car company made history this week by taking the world’s first car flight with a passenger in what could be the future of transportation.

Legendary French electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre became the first to hitch such a ride, soaring twice through the Slovakian skies in KleinVision’s AirCar in front of captivated onlookers.

“One second you speak to the driver, and next, you are up there in the air. An amazing experience,” Jarre, 75, told Sky News .

Video released by the company shows the sleek, winged sportscar speeding down the runway on four wheels before suddenly, like something out of a sci-fi flick, it’s airborne, climbing into the sky. Jarre can be seen beaming in the passenger seat.

The vehicle, invented and piloted by Professor Stefan Klein transforms from an automobile to a flight-ready aircraft in just minutes.

flying car

The AirCar was approved for flight in 2022 following more than 200 successful takeoffs and landings. The record-breaking vehicle became the first flying car to complete an intercity flight in 2021.

KleinVision’s co-founder Anton Zajac said he hopes it will be market-ready in a year.

The car runs on a 1.6 liter BMW engine — but Zajac said he hopes to run on batteries when the technology catches up.

It flies at speeds of up to 120 mph at altitudes up to 8,000 feet high, The Sun reported.

“We are bridging the gap between the road and the sky, giving cars the freedom they symbolized 50 years ago,” Zajac said in a statement.

flying car

In addition to a driver’s license, those interested in operating the AirCar must also complete a specialized two-to-three month flying course, according to Sky News.

Meanwhile in the US, SpaceX-backed Alef Aeronautics, a Silicon Valley-based startup, announced last month it received nearly 3,000 pre-orders for its Model A flying car totalling more than $850 million.

The 850-pound, two-seat car, first unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show last year , is an electrical vertical takeoff and landing vehicle (eVTOL) capable of reaching speeds of 110 miles per hour in the air and up to 35 miles per hour on the ground.

It was approved for air travel in limited locations by the Federal Aviation Administration last year but still needs approval from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to hit the roads.

Last year the FAA published a report  titled “Concept of Operations: Urban Air Mobility” which envisioned “air taxis” operating within corridors between vertiports built in city centers and airports.

Kristi Noem killed her pet dog, "Cricket," after the animal misbehaved on a hunting trip, she says

In her tell-all book, noem proves she can get the “job” done, no matter the animal, by nandika chatterjee.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, a Republican seen as a potential running mate for Donald Trump, tells a story in her new book about shooting and killing her young dog and a goat, The Guardian reported .

In the book, Noem explains in excruciating detail how she gunned down a 14-month-old wirehair pointer named "Cricket." What crimes earned this dog the death penalty? Noem reported that the puppy was disobedient and out “having the time of her life” during a pheasant hunting trip and that the animal later attacked and killed a neighbor's chickens.

The ill-fated Cricket proved not to be a bad hunter, after all, but was guilty of killing the wrong kind of bird. According to Noem, since a shock collar didn't instill the desired discipline, the only reasonable thing to do was to kill the excitable and “untrainable” pup.

Noem, who became governor in 2019, likened murdering her canine to having the ability and willingness in politics to do anything “difficult, messy, and ugly.” It’s not the only animal she chose to sacrifice that day, she wrote: "I realized another unpleasant job needed to be done.”

The “job” in question was killing a “nasty and mean” male family goat. What outrageous crimes did the goat, whom she described as “disgusting, musky, rancid,” commit other than needing a bath? The uncastrated, unnamed farm animal, “loved to chase” Noem’s children, knocking them down and ruining their clothes.

After killing the goat, who proved to put up a bit more of a fight than the defenseless dog, Noem wrote that the school bus arrived to drop off her kids. Her daughter Kennedy looked confused, according to Noem, asking: “Hey, where’s Cricket?”

“I guess if I were a better politician I wouldn’t tell the story here,” Noem wrote.
