These are easy to paddle and allow you to see Australian sea lions in their natural environment. These playful creatures love to swim and splash around your boat along with the dolphins. After kayaking with the local marine life, we go to Penguin Island to enjoy a guided walk, snorkelling if you want and a picnic lunch.

The rest of the day is at your own leisure – relax in the sun, snorkel, or explore the island and discover many shellfish, starfish, crabs, sea birds, and lizards.

What to Bring

  • Shorts, footwear you don’t mind getting wet, towel, hat, sunscreen, strap for glasses, and a change of clothes for after.
  • Dress for the weather and assume you will get a bit wet from the paddles.
  • Bring something to drink, and there is time for a snack if you want to bring something to eat.
  • If your camera is not waterproof a dry bag is recommended.

They are now also using regenerative farming practices to get the most of mother nature, using many rare sheep breeds.

  • fussbunny 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Cruisy Kayak Weekend With The Rivergods The guided tour on Canning River was a great experience for all ages. The kids are paired up with an adult on the way down to our destination picnic area. On our return trip, the kids are more confident to sit with each other, while mum and dad get to enjoy a romantic cruise along the river. The guide was very friendly and informative. Showing us and naming all the river birds that passes us by. Got to see the wildlife that we used to see only on TV or internet. No prior kayaking skills required. The guide will give you a quick course on how to paddle and maneuver. Life vest also provided. Great activity with the kids all season. Read more Written 2 August 2023

  • Ant_Safari 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Upsetting Incredibly disappointing experience. I booked the kayak hire at Shoalwater Bay to go with my young daughter. We drove over an hour to get to the meeting place to find that the address provided was wrong. When we finally got to the right place the operator was unhappy because he had brought a kayak and life jackets for adults only. I told him there is nowhere in the booking to enter the ages of participants to which he replied there most certainly is. Even today, there still is not. He said I should’ve booked direct, but still today bookings are accepted through Adrenaline. The pictures on Adrenaline show younger children so I expected this information wasn’t critical. We changed the kayak to a smaller one, but he was so disorganised he didn’t even have spare children’s life jackets. He put her in an adult’s life jacket, did it up tight and said it would be fine. We went to the water and I made a silly mistake when jumping on the kayak and we tipped over. The water was very calm and it wasn’t a big deal but the operator came along and said he was cancelling the hire. I think he was concerned about his liability if something went wrong and he had put a child in an adults life jacket. Still, his manner was quite rude, never accepting any responsibility for the wrong address, unspecifiable ages or incorrect life jackets. The person running the experience was disorganised and rude. A refund was given for the experience but nothing to compensate for the day or petrol that was wasted. Read more Written 9 April 2023
  • janecS394NK 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great birdwatching experience Wonderful solo tour with Carl the guide as I happened to be the only person who’d booked for a tour that day. Carl was very knowledgeable on the natural environment and the European history of that part of the river and although I live in Perth and grew up near the Canning River I learnt a lot. We were lucky enough to see most of the resident bird species on and above the river, including the elusive Spoonbill. Highly recommended. Read more Written 8 April 2023

  • moh6575 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Fun, fun, fun We (3) arranged an independent hire of 1 DBL and 1 SGL sea kayaks to use at Shoalwater Marine Park. Tom was excellent with taking the telephone booking and payment for next day hire, and very accommodating. All immediately confirmed with an email confirmation. Great price and so much fun. The next morning 0845, we met the van and guide to help receive our kayaks off the trailer. After a how to and area brief, we were off. The day of hire we had very clam water, with little swell and light off shore winds. The water is very clear and we enjoyed paddling around the islands, seeing the wildlife and snorkeling at the rear of Penguin island. Even had a friendly seal come bounding over to our kayak to say hello. Amazing! Return at 1400 was very easy. We were back before the tour group, and as we were physically capable, we loaded the equipment back onto the trailer, and confirmed to Tom with a quick call. Really liked the choice of guided tour or independent hire, as we like to do our own thing at our own pace. Rivergods made it all very easy. I would highly recommend the experience to anyone visiting the area. Plenty of space in stowage for lunch, water, sunblock, camera, snorkel gear, shoes etc. Read more Written 21 January 2023

  • Go440970 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Heavy lifting required to enjoy the scenery There's a few things you need to be aware of prior to booking this tour, that should be on the website. You will be required to carry a heavy kayak from the trailer to the water. This is not suitable for single women by themselves, unless you are very strong. I honestly believed the kayaks would be at the waters edge for the start of my tour. I now have out my back out, which is a safety issue. Next point the kayaks are not designed for larger people, I barely fit and was cramped for the two hours I was inside. The life jacket didn't fit properly, which all led to me feeling a bit embarrassed. The guide for me to sit in the kayak, on the grass, while he went to park the van...not comfortable and again embarrassing. There was no walk break offered or suggested during the tour. Although tour was for 3 hours, I only for 2 on the water. The guide was informative but could have used some deodorant before conducting a tour. The river was beautiful. A bike trip is sure to capture your heart. It enables you to see the heart of Moscow within the Boulevard Ring and to explore some non-touristic areas of the city, to get an image of the city centre and to work out at the same time.

Our tours differ and depend on whether you are interested in city scenery or nature-like landscape. A variety of places in Moscow are great for riding a bike: these are large parks, yards with old mansions, and historical streets in the centre.

Let’s see what’s waiting for you!

Here are 4 suggested itineraries for a 3-hour tour:.

Moscow Bike Route #2

This route is the best one if you want to see the heart of Moscow. It goes right through the major places of interest and touches upon the most exciting and vibrant areas of Moscow such as part of the Boulevard Ring, which is absolutely loved by everyone.

Cozy streets of Zamoskvorechye will never leave you indifferent. This district has a long and vivid history and is full of old baroque houses along with Stalinist buildings. It includes three theatres, three museums and sixteen churches.

Back in the 18 th century Zamoskvorechye was known as a quiet, country-like land of single-storey houses and conservative businessmen. It remained country-like and is much more filled with business than before, as this area is just right in the city centre.

You’ll learn:

  • names of four abandoned metro stations and how to find these stations;
  • what is the oldest bridge among all the bridges in Moscow;
  • how old was Pavel Tretyakov when he decided to collect paintings, that are now exhibited in the Tretyakov gallery;
  • what does the real form of the Boulevard Ring in Moscow look like;
  • what tricks did the Russian government used to save the houses and buildings from bombing during the World War II;
  • what unofficial name the Bolshoi Moskvoretsky bridge has

Moscow Bike Route #3

View over the Kremlin - The Luzhkov Bridge –  The Strelka Institute –  The Muzeon Park –  The Gorky Park –  Neskuchny Garden –  Sparrow Hills –  The Luzhniki Stadium -  Novodevichy Convent – The Arbat Street – The Gogolevsky boulevard - The Cathedral of Christ the Savior –  The Bolotnaya Square

This route includes the most popular city-sights and goes along the Moskva-River. It starts with an observation point, from which you may enjoy the view over the Kremlin, and covers all the most beautiful green areas of Moscow. Historical sites are included into the route so you can feel the historical vibes of ancient Moscow.

  • where is hidden an island Moscow;
  • where in Moscow you can get printed music of the most sweet masterpieces like “Chocolate waltz” and “Cake-gallop” along with a box of chocolates of the 18 th century;
  • why the Luzhkov bridge is also called “the bridge of kisses”;
  • the place where the famous Olympic symbol – the Olympic Bear of the Olympics-1980 was flown from;
  • the stage where Rolling Stones and Madonna performed when they came to Moscow;
  • why the Krymsky bridge was Stalin’s favourite bridge and what musical instrument it represents;

  • what was supposed to be on the site where the Cathedral of Christ the Savior is now;
  • why Moscow was nearly burnt down in the 15 th century and which role the Arbat street played in it.

Moscow Bike Route #4

Starting with wide area of the VDNKh, you are to learn interesting and fun facts about this spectacular part of Moscow.

  • where is a hidden the secret bunker under Moscow (and no, it’s not a famous Bunker 42 everybody knows about;
  • why the number of golden statues at the fountain is more than the number of Soviet republics, although it is said to correspond them;
