Interview with CEO and Founder of Pizza Girl™ Caroline D’Amore

Her e-commerce site relaunched in May 2021, offering the sauces for direct to consumer purchase in 24-oz glass jars. The 3 sauces available are the Pizza Girl Marinara Sauce, Pizza Girl Vodka Sauce and Pizza Girl Arrabbiata Sauce. Pizza Girl is now available at Gelson’s Markets, beginning in her home state of California, and will continue to do a retail rollout throughout 2021.

D’Amore’s Pizza Girl brand initially made waves the second it hit the market, for its flavorful and health-forward sauce, via Hollywood influencers and instant fans of the brand inclusive of Paris Jackson, Ashlee Simpson, Evan Ross, Chudney Ross, Kourtney Kardashian, Emile Hirsch, Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, and more.

Hi Caroline, please tell us a little about you?

Hello, I was born to an Italian restaurant family starting back with my great grandmother who was the head chef at Regina Pizza in the North end of Boston. I grew up amongst 5 other siblings all working in the D’Amore’s Pizza restaurants at Different times in our lives. Some of us still work in the D’Amores Pizza Business and some of us had to go off on our own. I was one that had to do my own thing as I have a very different vision for business than my father. My vision is Pizza Girl. A new aged feminine take on an old world recipe passed down for generations.

Describe yourself in 3 words?

Light , Determination, Positivity

How did you get started in the business?

I tried for years to work my way up the D’Amores Pizza latter and it proved extremely difficult to have my voice and ideas heard. So as a young mother I went off on my own starting Pizza Girl after I spotted a major gap in an already saturated market when I couldn’t find a delicious , conscious , organic pasta sauce on the supermarket shelves that spoke to me and my generation. Pizza Girl is just that product. It’s a labor of love and true experience. I hope that everyone in America gets to try my delicious healthy sauces.

How has this changed your life?

One does not anticipate the level of hard work they are gearing up for before they enter into the trenches of a startup. If they did, they may rethink that life path. This company has become my life. Besides my beautiful daughter I have little time or energy for much else. This will be my reality for the next several years and I’m excited about it. I’ve needed this to ground myself. I feel ready to give this my all. It changed my life because it has become my life. Now let’s see how far we can grow.

We’re sure you have been asked this million times but how did you get in the food and restaurant industry?

It’s all my family knows. The food industry is in my bloodline. It’s my history. And my future.

Now tell us about your Pizza Girl Sauces?

Pizza Girl Organic sauces are by far the healthiest sauces without compromising on flavor. Some of the super healthy sauces forget we care about taste and some packed with flavor are loaded with sugar and sodium. We have found a magical balance using longer cook times and quality ingredients to create a home cooked full and fresh flavor without all the additives. Every competitive jar I’ve found has this old world label that dawns an essence of grandma when let’s be real grandma isn’t buying jarred sauce nor is she making it. She’s at home cooking it from morning till dinner and sometimes even starts the night before. Hardworking moms and dads on the go are buying jarred sauce and I just thought why not represent the truth rather than an old marketing scheme of grandma in the kitchen. Here comes Pizza Girl the truth!

Where we can buy them?

Right now we are available across the country at pizzagirl.com and in California we have just landed in Gelsons , Bristol Farms and Wholefoods Supermarkets. We are working on landing more markets everyday and are making our way across the country.

We know that food and specifically Pastas and sauces are a very competitive market. What is different from Pizza Girl Sauces to other ones in the market?

While it is a saturated market and I was told this would be a tricky business to tap into successfully due to such brand loyalty, I still felt that people today care more and more about what they are putting to their bodies. They also care about the output of the companies they are buying from. Every Pizza Girl sauce has no added sugar and is certified organic all while taking the cook time for that quality home style taste that other companies just won’t do. The hardest part is getting people to try something new. We have been hit hard with not being able to do samples and demos during covid. In my 3 year experience building this brand I find that when people try it they buy it and immediately make the switch. We are women owned and earth conscious. We just spent months on the development of our new online packaging to eliminate the use of bubble wrap! I have ordered from all the leading sauce brands personally and was extremely put off by all the bubble wrap needed to ship these heavy glass jars. I just didn’t feel right starting a brand that would contribute so negatively to the environment. We have successfully eliminated bubble wrap in our online shipping boxes which we are extremely proud of and we know our consumer will be proud to be ordering a product like ours.

What do you think is the secret to having a successful business in a very competitive market like yours?

Just don’t quit. Don’t freak out when the shit hits the fan cause guess what it absolutely will. My new favorite word is Pivot. Just be ready to pivot and find a solution or new angle.

Have you ever been asked to cook/bake anything crazy or very different?

I’ve enjoyed cooking my whole life but I never took it to that elite chef status. I cook similarly to my grandmother where we just work with what we have and go by taste , smell and look. It always drove my ex husband Bobby crazy when I didn’t follow recipes cause something would come out great and he couldn’t redo it afterwards. I knew I had to start writing things down. Most dishes though I honestly use Pizza Girl sauce as the base. Soups, salad dressings, cocktail sauce , bloody mary’s, even under eggs and chorizo, I cook salmon and meats in my sauces. Pizza Girl is the base for all my cooking.

Now talking about The Hills. Tell us about your experience, the cast and what has been the best thing that has happened to you since being on the show?

Being the new girl on The Hills was a wild one. I felt like I was in high school again and the popular kids either tried to immediately befriend me to “ keep their enemies close” or hated me when they realized I wasn’t interested in their bullying ways. You can probably take a wild guess and assume who the entitled jerks were but luckily I come from lots of experience with entitled brats. So I managed quite well under the circumstances. I did meet some amazing friends that are true and beautiful human beings on both the cast and the production team. I’m extremely grateful for the experience and I’d absolutely do it again if it comes back around. It helped jump start my company when people really gravitated to my story of building my business. Pizza girl is my story so it was a huge part of my story line, and for all the hills fans that now love Pizza Girl and call it their new forever sauce I’m extremely grateful.

What is the most rewarding part of your work?

Well id love to say its the joy of helping people eat quality and healthy etc and while that’s all true it’s really watching this baby grow. It’s been so damn hard getting to where I am now and I still have so far to go. The stability of knowing what I want to do in business and that I’m on my way is keeping me sane. My childhood left me quite a mess trying to understand that I needed to take care of myself. I’m finally doing that. Better late than never!

What book should every entrepreneur read?

I just finished Super Maker by Jamie Schmidt and from Schmidts deodorant and I hung onto every word . I could hear her voice all stressed out and excited about each step. She had no idea what she was getting into or how hard it would be. I’m not a well read entrepreneur. I’m a hard worker, never give up , roll up your sleeves and suffer as an entrepreneur. I guess we will see if it pans out. But that’s all I know. It sure worked out for Jamie. She went from making deodorant in her kitchen barefoot and pregnant to selling her product all over the world! So far our stories are very similar. I hope it stays that way.

What would you say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?

If it’s too good to be true, it is. And always listen to your gut, it’s talking for a reason. Oh and don’t be greedy, that’s a big one.

How would your best friend describe you?

Hard working and crazy motivated but was never willing to sell her soul for fame or likes. My best friend is a manager and sure wish I would dance more and do these embarrassing tiktok videos that just aren’t me. I’m going to focus on building a company and a quality brand. I’m not an influencer and I never will be.

What’s next for Caroline D’Amore in 2021?

My only plan is to add more supermarkets to carry Pizza Girl each day and continue to get people to try it. Once they try it they make the switch and are Pizza Girl lifers. It’s just getting people to try it while we can no longer demo and give samples due to Covid. So if you are reading this just give us a try that’s all I ask. And let me know your thoughts on instagram cause I actually do care. I respond to everyone.

What is your favorite healthy food?

Salmon and broccoli cooked in Pizza Girl sauce. It’s the bomb.

And your favorite cheat food?

Apple or Cherry Pie and Ice cream forever and always

How would you explain your fashion style?

I really don’t have a specific style. I still wear things I had 20 years ago. Well my MTV shirt I still wear and I just saw myself in it in an old paparazzi shot walking out of a club with Paris Hilton back in 2000. So yeah I like what I like. Cozy casual, rocker or hippy just depends on my mood.

If you are a book, what would be the title of the book and why?

From Party Girl to Pizza Girl. It’s actually already in the works.

What is your own definition of happiness?

Just don’t be miserable all the time. The amount of shit I’ve endured in my life is enough to have made me a bitter asshole who hates everything, but what’s the point in that? My mother was already gone by my age and I’ve always known life is terribly short. So I’m going to be happy if it kills me.

As a popular face and someone that is on the news and TV you are followed by so many people. How do you feel about that pressure of always doing the right thing, and encourage people to follow their dreams?

I definitely don’t always do the right thing. I do try and I know my intentions are good. If someone gets inspired by my journey then that’s awesome! if they hate me that’s fine too. When I was younger I needed everyone’s approval due to lack of approval at home, childhood trauma, you know the shit that made you act and react etc. But as I get older I like myself more and know my worth and what’s actually worthy of my time. So I don’t feel pressure to be perfect and save the world. I’m aware that I’m far from perfect and maybe more people admitting that and taking responsibility for their output will help change the world a bit faster. Stop preaching perfection and making everyone feel less than. Just be you and the people who get you will be just the people you are meant to hang with or inspire.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

I just want to hangout with my mom. Never really had the chance and that’s all I want.

Best advice ever given?

Take responsibility for your part in everything that goes wrong. Stop blaming your circumstances on others. You take care of yourself .

Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?

5 year from now Pizza Girl will be a household name in most kitchen cabinets across America. I’m hoping to bring Pizza Girl to some other countries as well. We get so many requests from Canada. I’d love to bring Pizza Girl to that market by then. I will by then be in a position to help other foodie entrepreneurs which is my long game goal. I plan on finding several other hopefuls and actually being the help I always wanted and needed. At 36 I finally met my mentors. I always dreamt of Rebecca Williamson and Arron Coote. Thank you for believing in me. I will pass it on.

Favorite song? Why?

Sweet Caroline because my Dad always sang it to me and there is always this extremely embarrassing moment when it comes on and everyone is drunk and they all stare at me and sing it to me. It’s like the embarrassment of a wedding or birthday all at once.

What do you think of Social Media?

I’ve never been a true lover of social media. One of my major defects in business and career building. I just missed the era of being born with a cell phone in your hand and really loving it. There is no reason why I shouldn’t have millions of followers other than I just don’t love it the way others do. You have to love it , be obsessed with it rather than end up at the Met Gala for posting pictures and videos of yourself. It’s just not my cup of tea. But of course I do it and I get happy when I have a ton of likes and confused when a post gets nothing. It’s the new addiction that gives you highs and lows faster than cocaine and while I see it’s obvious benefits I also think it’s quite dangerous. It’s our jobs as parents to teach our kids about these dangers and show them a life beyond “a moment didn’t happen if it wasn’t on camera” cause so many beautiful moments are being missed and it’s a true tragedy. Know social media for the darkness it can bring into your life and use it for what you need but do not let it control your moods and ruin living in the moment.

Ravinia Festival 2024: Tickets for summer season go on sale

The 2024 ravinia festival lineup features little feat, james taylor, the violent femmes and more, published april 24, 2024 • updated on april 24, 2024 at 6:10 am.

Tickets to Ravinia Festival' s highly anticipated 2024 summer concert series go on sale at 8 a.m. Wednesday, according to an announcement.

Tickets will only be available on Ravinia's website , the announcement said, with several shows expected to sell out, including James Taylor, Indigo Girls and Melissa Ethridge, Daryl Hall and Elvis Costello, The Beach Boys with John Stamos, Robert Plant and Alison Kraus, O.A.R and Fitz and the Tantrums, ZZ Top and Lynryd Skynard and Roger Daltrey.

Tickets prices for shows range from $15 to $230, the announcement said. Guests can bring their own picnics, including alcohol into the park, according to organizers.

Earlier this week, the festival posted several "ticket tips" ahead of the public on-sale, with organizers encouraging customers to reset their password and save credit card information before 8 a.m. Wednesday. Customers can also expect to placed in "virtual waiting rooms," while waiting for tickets, organizers said.

Ravinia Festival's highly anticipated 2024 summer concert lineup and schedule was announced last month, with big names on the lineup including The Beach Boys, Norah Jones, James Taylor and Robert Plant & Alison Krause.

Since the announcement, some additional acts have been added to the bill, including TLC & Shaggy , and a tribute to Whitney Houston with the Chicago Symphony .

“With an extraordinary range of concerts and artists, we are excited to offer an inspiring and captivating season for everyone who comes to Ravinia,” Ravinia’s President and CEO Jeffrey P. Haydon said in a release. “Whether in Bennett Gordon Hall, Martin Theatre, Pavilion, Lawn, or Carousel, concertgoers will surely experience the spirit of summer with incredible music under the stars."

In 2023 , Ravinia Festival saw performances from John Legend, Jethro Tull, Santana and Ms. Lauryn Hill.

● July 12 – The CSO opens its 88th summer season at Ravinia with Alsop and two featured soloists, soprano Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha* and pianist Michelle Cann.* In an evening of American music, the orchestra opens with Aaron Copland’s beloved classic Appalachian Spring followed by James P. Johnson’s Charleston, highlighting this early jazz piano leader’s influence and the iconic dance of the same name. Rangwanasha is in the spotlight for Samuel Barber’s evocative portrait of a small boy in the American South, Knoxville: Summer of 1915. The program wraps with a celebration of the 100th anniversary of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, with Cann at the keyboard making her CSO debut. ● July 13 – South African cellist-composer Abel Selaocoe* joins Alsop and debuts with the CSO performing his Four Spirits, which “takes the concerto format to thrillingly unprecedented places” (Bachtrack). Themes of ancestral wisdom, faith, and community permeate the program, as the piece is put in perspective alongside Ludwig van Beethoven’s monumental Fifth Symphony and its distinct explorations of fate. ● July 19 – Conductor Ted Sperling joins the CSO with special guest vocalists to celebrate two iconic pop songwriters, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon. ● July 20 – Alsop and the CSO take the stage for Gustav Mahler’s final major work for orchestra, Symphony No. 9. Voted as the greatest symphony of all-time in BBC Music 2 Magazine, the evening-long work has beguiled audiences since its 1912 premiere by Bruno Walter and the Vienna Philharmonic. ● July 21 – Winner of the gold medal at the International Chopin Competition and recipient of many esteemed prizes, Japanese pianist Hayato Sumino* reunites with Alsop and makes his Ravinia and CSO debuts performing Fryderyk Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1. In the second half of the program, Alsop explores symphonic storytelling during the turn of the 19th century, leading the CSO in Richard Strauss’s tone poem Don Juan and Maurice Ravel’s choreographic symphony Daphnis et Chloé (Suite No. 2). ● July 25 – Mendelssohn's hit violin concerto, played by Augustin Hadelich^, is in the spotlight as Alsop leads the CSO. Also featured on the program are Bernstein’s joyous Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and Stravinsky's timeless Firebird Suite. Conductor Alena Hron , the 2024–26 Taki Alsop Fellow, guests on the podium to lead Geroge Walker’s Icarus in Orbit. ● July 26 – The centerpiece of Breaking Barriers 2024 is a space-themed concert complete with visuals and introductions by NASA specialists. Alsop conducts the orchestra in Holst’s The Planets, followed by a suite from Falkenberg’s The Moons Symphony. Audiences will see science come alive and hear from planetary scientists, including Astronaut Nicole Stott together with the composer, as they discuss how Falkenberg’s symphony offers new perspectives for humanity to contemplate our home in the cosmos. ● July 28 – Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship alum Carolyn Kuan leads this year’s Tchaikovsky Spectacular, complete with Ravinia’s signature cannons in the 1812 Overture. Making her CSO debut, she opens the program with the complete music from the first act of The Nutcracker. Desirée Ruhstrat also makes her CSO debut as the soloist for the cherished Violin Concerto. ● August 2 – Conductor Valentina Peleggi, another TACF alum, returns to Ravinia and the CSO, following a guest appearance during last summer’s Breaking Barriers Festival, to join with esteemed pianist Jorge Federico Osorio on Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto. Peleggi will also lead Tchaikovsky’s Francesca da Rimini and Respighi’s Pines of Rome. ● August 4 – Music director, conductor, and arranger Kevin Stites explores the music of legendary performer and film composer Henry Mancini for the annual Gala Benefit Evening. Curated and hosted by actor Rob Lindley, “Mancini at 100: The Music of Henry Mancini, from the big screen, to the small screen, to the stage and beyond” features Broadway vocalists Jessie Mueller* (Waitress, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), Norm Lewis* 3 (The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables), and Karen Mason* (Sunset Boulevard), with all three making their Ravinia and CSO debuts. ● August 9 & 11 – The CSO delves into operatic repertory as a semi-staging of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Idomeneo is conducted by Los Angeles Opera (and former Ravinia) Music Director James Conlon in the Martin Theatre. The work, set in Crete in 1200 BCE and telling a story from the Trojan War, shines light on a talented group of singers. Hello and welcome to DIY’s introducing feature, Get To Know… With two new acts a week, the feature pretty much does what it says on the tin: getting you a little bit closer to the buzziest new acts that have been catching our eye as of late, and working out what makes them tick.

We recently spoke to Australian psych band Psychedelic Porn Crumpets , country-tinged singer-songwriter Jade Bird , brilliantly exciting new Brighton bunch Squid and new Bella Union signings Pom Poko . Next up, it’s Pizzagirl!

Making music on revered Manchester label Heist Or Hit (Her’s), the Liverpool-based singer-songwriter makes songs in the vein of Ariel Pink and Unknown Mortal Orchestra - woozy numbers that sit perfectly on extended summer evenings and cast aside consequences in favour of wonderfully breezy escapism.

Returning this week with new track ‘highschool’, we’ve got to know the newcomer a little better.

I’m young, juicee and independent! I like abit of sax now and then and i think your parents would love me? Swipe right please.

What’s your earliest musical memory?

My earliest musical memory was hearing “heartbeats” by my man José Gonzáles on a Sony Bravia TV advert when i must have been about 6 and hounding my mum to try and find this killer track, so she rang up a service that basically googled things for you because we didn’t have any high speed internets at the time and ever since it’s been my way to achieve instant nostalgia and relaxation!

Who were some artists that inspired you when you were just starting out (and why)?

When i was younger i was the predictable indie teen who loved The Smiths and tried x2 hard to be Morrissey so alot of their slippery melodies did influence a younger pizzateen! I really was (and still am) into bands like The Whitest Boy Alive and Talking Heads and guys like Mac Demarco, Grimes and Frankie Cosmos to cherry pick a few!

You’re based in Liverpool - what’s the music scene like there at the moment? Are there other artists breaking through at the same time that you take inspiration from?

I think Liverpool is a very unique musical city because it’s so infamous for one certain type of sound that i don’t think in my humble opinion reflects what is going on in Liverpool now. I really am a big fan of bands like Trudy and the Romance, The Orielles and my label brothers Her’s who i think all have something extra interesting and double cool that they bring to the Lpool music scene!

Who would be your dream collaborator?

I think i would always love to make some melodies and just in general hang around with David Byrne, the way he makes music and the way he always brings something fresh and forward thinking to music and art really is a mood board for how i’d like to live my life. He’s one of the coolest people ever in my lil eyes!

Musically or otherwise, what are you most looking forward to in 2018?

I’m really looking forward to serve out some fresh new beat pies over the next few months and playing some delish music shows far and wide and meeting some new faces along the way! I’m also looking forward to what adulthood holds for me as just turning 20 has seemed to be the start of a nice career in the job of being old!

If people could take away one thing from your music, what would it be?

If people can take one thing away from the pizzagirl experience is that it’s a bit of a goof, sprinkle of a laugh and a side of love and i hope that people feel that when they hear my music or see me live! I like that idea of having a party with everyone and enjoying the simple toppings on the life pizza with anyone and EVERYONE!

Spice Girls Have a Full Reunion at Victoria Beckham's 50th Birthday Party

The Spice Girls knew what we want, what we really, really want. And they delivered.

A reunion of all five members of the '90s pop group took place April 20, marking the first time in more than a decade that the singers were seen on camera together in more than a decade. Mel B , 48,  Geri Halliwell Horner , 51,  Emma Bunton , 48, and Mel C , 50, attended Victoria Beckham 's 50th birthday party at a club in London and recreated an iconic moment in their band's history—and Posh Spice's husband was there to provide the receipts.

In a video  recorded and shared by  David Beckham , the Spice Girls are seen singing along and performing the dance choreography to their hit 1997 song "Stop."

"Best night ever!" Victoria captioned the video . "Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife."

David, who could not look more excited about the performance, wrote alongside his own Instagram  post , "I mean come on x @victoriabeckham @melaniecmusic @officialmelb @emmaleebunton @gerihalliwellhorner."

Mel B shared Victoria's post on her Instagram Stories, writing, "About last night #tourdatescommingsoon."

Scary Spice had hinted that a Spice Girls reunion was in the works back in January.

After the Spice Girls split in 2000, all five members reunited formally to tour together in late 2007 and early 2008. In 2012, they performed at the Olympics closing ceremony in London.

The Spice Girls singers also toured as a quartet — without Victoria —in 2019 and have also had many informal mini-reunions over the years. In 2022, Victoria, Mel C and Emma attended Geri's 50th birthday party, where they danced, sang along and recreated their dance choreography to the band's 1996 hit "Say You'll Be There." At the time, David also shared video of the reunion, writing, "@officialmelb you were missed."

Look back at the Spice Girls over the years...

The Spice Girls became a global success upon the release of "Wannabe" in 1996. Considered the best-selling female group of all time, the British songstresses have sold over 85 million records worldwide. 

The girl group rocked the stage at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City with a performance of "Say You'll Be There." They took home Best Dance Video for "Wannabe" that year.

Ginger Spice's Union Jack mini-dress became synonymous with the Spice Girls after their performance at the 1997 Brit Awards. Initial controversy aside, the iconic ensemble sold for more than $58,000 at a a charity auction. 

Spice World

Released in December 1997,  Spice World: The Movie became an instant blockbuster hit. Two decades later, it remains a cult phenomenon and recently even returned to theaters in the U.K. to celebrate the milestone anniversary! 

'90s Nights

Posh, Scary, Sporty, Baby and Ginger Spice come together for a 1998 photo opp. Two years later, they'd announce their decision to put Spice Girls on the back burner for a renewed focus on their respective solo careers. 

The Spice Girls made a comeback in 2007 with a global tour that sold out in a whopping 38 seconds. That same year, the ladies hit the stage at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Hollywood. 

After four years apart, the girl group reunited once again to celebrate the premiere of  Viva Forever! , a musical inspired by their time in the spotlight. 

At the closing ceremony for the 2012 London Olympics, the fivesome performed a medley of greatest hits like "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life."

In 2016,  Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell  and  Emma Bunton  announced a spinoff trio called GEM. A single titled "Song for Her" leaked online, but the project was evidently put on hold around the time Halliwell announced her pregnancy with baby No. 2. 

Cue the pandemonium! All five Spice Girls sent social media into a frenzy with this photo posted in February 2018. 

They responded to the excitement in a joint statement, saying, "We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together. We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations."

After announcing in late 2018 that four of the five Spice Girls would be reuniting once more for a tour—Victoria sat this one out to focus on the commitment to her fashion empire—Geri, Emma and the Mels began a 13-date European tour at Croake Park in Dublin, Ireland on May 24, 2019. Concluding with three nights at London's Wembley Stadium, the tour earned over $78 million, proving that Girl Power never goes out of style.

Are the Spice Girls reuniting for a tour?

We'll tell you want we really want: a Spice Girls reunion!

The iconic ‘90s girl group hasn’t performed together with all five members since 2012, but they teased fans when they came together for Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday bash in London on April 20.

Beckham's husband, former soccer star David Beckham , posted video from the celebration in which the birthday girl, along with Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton, sing along to their hit song "Stop."

Brown, known to fans as Mel B, previously hinted that the group is working on something “very good” while appearing on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna on March 25.

When asked what’s in the works for the Spice Girls, Brown, who was appearing on the show to discuss the expanded edition of her bestselling memoir, “Brutally Honest,” responded, “This is going to be really good and the fans are going to be really happy about it,” without elaborating further.

However, when host Jenna Bush Hager asked if fans will be able to catch the Spice Girls on a reunion tour, Brown paused and said, “Oh, I’m going to get in trouble. I'm not saying anything. OK, bye!” before walking out to laughter from Jenna and Hoda Kotb.

When did the Spice Girls last perform together?

The Spice Girls last set out on tour as a four-person group in 2019, without Victoria Beckham. The last time the original five — Beckham, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell , Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton — performed together was for the 2012 Olympics in London .

The quintet released a throwback video in March 2023, marking the 25-year anniversary of their hit “Stop.”

For the 3 1/2-minute song, the five stood directly next to one another and performed full choreography. Each one was dressed in a different outfit, likely resembling their former monikers: Scary Spice, Posh Spice, Ginger Spice, Sporty Spice and Baby Spice.

In a March interview on the British talk show “Loose Women,” Brown said the group was “definitely doing something.”

“I’m probably going to get told off (for saying the update), but I’ve said it. There you go,” she continued. “I’m in trouble now.”

Appearing on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna in January , Brown confirmed that fans can expect a reunion from all five original members.

In the interview with Hoda and Jenna, Brown wouldn’t give too many details about the pop group’s upcoming project, but teased it as the “gift that keeps on giving.”

Speaking with Sky News in May 2023, Brown addressed the idea of another Spice Girls tour, telling the outlet, “There will be — if I’ve got anything to do with it.”

Brown also shared on her January appearance on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna that the Spice Girls were newly available on British stamps , which had never been done before for a female pop group.

“It is massive for the Royal Mail. Usually it’s the queen and the king. Now, we’ve got Spice Girls, a girl group, on there, which doesn’t quite seem to make sense but it does to us,” she said with a laugh.

David Beckham shares video of former girl group singing their hit Stop at private club Oswald’s in London, as Mel B hints at a tour

The Spice Girls have reunited for a rare performance featuring all five members – at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party, where they danced to their classic hit Stop.

The party was held on Saturday at Oswald’s, a private members’ club in London, with the likes of Tom Cruise, Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay also attending.

During the party, Beckham – along with fellow Spice Girls Geri Halliwell-Horner, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton – sang along to Stop as well as performing the signature choreography from the single off their 1997 sophomore album Spiceworld.

Beckham’s husband, David Beckham , posted a video to Instagram where he gleefully looked on. “I mean come on,” the 48-year-old former footballer captioned the video.

Victoria responded in the comments, writing: “Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much!”

Brown also hinted at a potential reunion tour. “About last night #tourdatescomingsoon,” she shared, reposting the video to her Instagram story.

Last month, Brown teased in an interview with Today that the Spice Girls were working on something “very good” together – though she did not confirm rumours of a tour at the time.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Spice Girls, who formed in 1994 and officially split six years later in 2000.

They have reunited multiple times over the years – most recently as part of their 2019 Spice World tour, which Beckham did not attend. The last time all five members performed publicly was in 2012 for the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.

In 2023 the Beckhams’ marriage was explored in a four-part Netflix documentary series, which also addressed his rise to fame as a footballer and the extensive press speculation that he allegedly had an affair while playing for Real Madrid in 2003.
