Location okay, with nice views. Facilities great. Staff appeared to have no idea about our booking but after all were helpful enough to sort things out. Door to the king-size-bed room broken thus transferred to another room. 2 single beds for 2 adults and one kid. Not exactly perfect but acceptable.

Awful stay”

We hated our stay. Once we arrived they gave us a room with one bed however we asked for two. They offered to upgrade us in a bigger room by charging us 2,5 times the price we paid. They had only sandwiches or sausages for breakfast and disgusting coffee. The beds are like concrete mattresses, we then asked for extra mattresses to soften them, and they wanted to charge us 100 pesos per mattress and per night! Which we obviously refused to pay! The room service did not even clean our room during the day, the curtain of the shower just kept falling, and the toilets were not working well. While we were having a nice time at the pool with my 90 year old grandmother, they turned the music up so high that we couldn't even hear ourselves.

The resort has a number of warm pools to choose from, has a nice garden and mountain view esp. in the morning, and you can take a dip in their very warm pool even at night (they close the other pools after midnight). Very nice resort if you do not mind the number of tourists. The dining area might need more variety in their menu but you always have the option to drive off to the nearby mall if the food is not up to your liking. Over all, the plus side outweighs the downside and the resort is a good place to go back to --- also thanks to the supervisor!

Quiet and relaxed nature”

If you want some peace and quiet without the hassle of driving too far, this resort would be right for you. The place has a number of warm pools that you can choose from, nice garden, plus a relaxing mountain view of Mt. Makiling in the morning. The plus side would be the very nice Supervisor who was very accommodating, the lagoon, accessibility to transport (you can take a bus and be dropped off right in front of the resort), a few kms. away from the mall for more food choices. The downside would be the pool at the center which was not warm at all and being closed by midnight

do not go there on weekends!!!”

the hotel was ok, as i said do not go there on weekend, it's insane with way too many day pass people, it will kill your stay. we checked in on sunday almost wanted to leave immediately with the amount of people roaming around and using the pool, but we gave it a chance as we booked for 2 nights so hoping monday will be ok. and it turned out that monday and tuesday was a totally different experience and was quite pleasant. the hot spring is ok but again only on weekdays with less people. the worse thing about the stay was there is only one restaurant and we have to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner there all in korean food, it was way too much!!!

The Cliffhouse Laguna: An Exquisite Hot Spring Resort in Laguna

Laguna is the go-to destination for those who want to enjoy a day on a hot spring pool. We’ve discovered one of the best private hot spring resorts in Laguna — The Cliffhouse Laguna.

The Cliffhouse Laguna is a boutique private hot spring resort located at the foothills of Mount Makiling in Los Banos, Laguna. Unlike the usual busy resorts in Pansol, it’s tucked away inside a private subdivision which ensures privacy and quiet. The house is literally built in a cliff with great views of Laguna de Bay.

It’s an ideal option for family get-together, team buildings or short vacations.

I went here with Hali for his birthday in 2019. The previous year, we spent his special day backpacking in Palawan , so I guess it means we’re becoming a tita and tito! Anyway, we decided we’d rather have a quiet celebration in this private hot spring resort.

We were booked for a night stay. Prior to our visit, I requested if it was possible to arrive in the late afternoon instead of 6PM and the host approved. I think there weren’t any guests booked before us.

The location of The Cliffhouse Laguna was convenient because it’s so close — it only took us an hour of drive from Alabang. We parked in front of the house and climbed up a long set of stairs to get inside.

There are a total of five rooms in the The Cliffhouse Laguna. Each room is decorated a little differently. We stayed in Room 3, which features floor-to-ceiling glass walls and a balcony where you can enjoy the fresh air outside. It’s similar to other rooms in the resort. We chose this room because it has a wicker seat that Hali likes.

We checked every room in the resort and all were clean and comfortable.

Just after we arrived, we enjoyed a merienda of hot coffee and buko pie — which is of course a must-have dessert in Laguna.

Then we spent hours swimming. In my opinion, the resort’s biggest asset is its gorgeous semi-indoor infinity pool with jacuzzi. The pool uses only natural hot spring water. Also, it offers a nice view of the outdoors.

Have I mentioned that it’s super instagrammable? I’m gonna admit it’s one of the reasons we chose The Cliffhouse Laguna for this occassion.

The pool gently slopes downward (from 4 feet to 5 feet), so it’s perfect for adults — it’s not too shallow or too deep. You can just stay at the sides or take a proper swim. We found the warm water so soothing that we wanted to stay there for hours.

We stayed until it was night time. The infinity pool also looked fantastic at night, although it became a little chilly.

Hali was actually supposed to bring his work here, but the ambiance was so relaxing (and he ate so much) that we just opted to retire earlly to bed.

In the morning, I went alone in the roofdeck to see where the sunrise would be and witnessed the view changed colors, from a sleepy dusk to a golden glow. Then we had breakfast and then hit off the road to get home.

Overall, we loved our stay here at The Cliffhouse Laguna. I like its unique modern design and its amenities — particularly the infinity pool, the spacious lounge area where we hanged out after the swim, and the bedrooms with the floor-to-ceiling glass walls. I also appreciated that they have other entertainment offered like the billiards table and KTV room, which we’d used briefly. A night stay was honestly too short!

Aside from these, we also found the owner and staff of The Cliffhouse Laguna friendly and accommodating. Ms. Gen actually dropped by to ask us how we were, and the caretakers were helpful and easy to call whenever we had needs.

Our stay was very pleasant. This is one of the best private hot spring resorts in Laguna we’d stayed it. We highly recommend it to others who want to have a quiet & relaxing vacation as well.

Here are the commute directions:

• From Buendia or Cubao, ride a bus to Sta. Cruz, Laguna. Get off at Springdale Subdivision.
• Rent a trike OR walk for about 10 minutes to the resort.

The Cliffhouse Laguna is one of the closest private hot spring resorts you can get to if you’re coming from the metro. We drove here from Alabang and it only took us an hour to get here.

• The Cliffhouse Laguna is a great option for family-get togethers.
• As its name implies, this private hot spring resort is built in a cliff. You need to take 5 flights of stairs to get to the lounge/pool area. You might want to consider this if you’re bringing senior citizens. Staff can assist with bringing baggage.
• You need to bring your own towels & toiletries. You also need to bring your own utensils and charcoal, if you plan to grill.
• There’s a small sari-sari store across the resort and a 7-11 outside the subdivision.
• The resort has free wifi.
• There is ample parking space.
• No pets allowed.

You can choose among day tour, overnight tour, and full-day tour. Here are the rates ( Updated as of March 2019 ):

• Day tour: P15,000
• Overnight: P16,000
• Full-day tour (22 hours): P26,000

The whole resort is good for 20-25 people.

We celebrated my little girl’s 2nd birthday here and everyone had a GREAT time! The water was warm, hot actually, really hot! But Its refreshing and relaxing. Even until morning. Al Fresco Spring Resort has an amazing and very relaxing place. The spacious rooms and pool are both well maintained. All accommodations were perfect except for the WIFI. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• PAYMENT IS NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERRABLE. However, request to re-schedule or re-book is only allowed ONCE for up to THIRTY (30) DAYS BEFORE THE INITIAL SCHEDULE. For requests to re-schedule from 29 days to 15 days before the initial schedule, a fee of ₱5,000 will be charged for re-booking. STRICTLY NO CANCELLATION AND NO RE-BOOKING FOURTEEN (14) DAYS OR LESS THAN THE INITIAL SCHEDULE.
• In case of default inability to come on your reserved date, payment will automatically be forfeited.
• A SECURITY DEPOSIT OF ₱3,500.00 will be collected CASH UPON CHECK-IN . Accidental damage/s or loss to the resort’s property shall be deducted to the security deposit. The amount will be returned upon check out if the guests did not incur any damages.
• CHECK-OUT TIME (4PM) IS STRICTLY OBSERVED. Delays on your check-out will cause further delays on our next guests. LATE CHECK-OUT TIME will be charged ₱3,000 PER HOUR .
• The Management shall not be held liable in case occupants/lessees shall violate any law.
• The Management shall be free from any damages, liability, or responsibility arising out of any untoward incidents involving the guests during the scheduled rental.
• The Management is not held liable and is fully not responsible on any losses, accidents or injuries that may occur during your stay within the resort’s premises.
• Guests will be held responsible for any damages and/or loss of property and must settle their liabilities before leaving the resort’s premises.
• An additional fee of ₱500 PER HEAD shall be collected for guests exceeding the allowed guest capacity of the resort. The Management reserves the right to deny entry if the guests will exceed the maximum resort capacity limit.
• STRICTLY NO PETS ALLOWED. If the guest brought any pet, we will charge ₱5,000 per pet .
• Using double-sided tapes for decorations is NOT ALLOWED. Should there be marks left on the wall, including chipped wall paint, unremoved remnants of the tape, etc., a FINE OF ₱5,000 shall be imposed.

HOUSE RULES

• Check-in time is at 7pm. This is to give us ample time to clean and disinfect the entire resort. We cannot guarantee early check-in because this depends on the previous guest. We want to ensure that the place is all-set upon your arrival.
• Please minimize noise from 10pm – 7am as per subdivision’s policy.
• DO NOT FORGET to bring your own towels, plates, spoons and forks, cups and other cookwares you may need.
• BRING YOUR OWN toiletries (shampoo, soap, toilet paper). We DO NOT provide these due to sanitary reasons.
• Cooking stove, BBQ grill, refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, water dispenser and basic kitchen materials - pot, pan and ladles (sandok at syanse) are available for you to use.
• Our caretakers are fully vaccinated and reside within the resort premises 24/7. Our protocol is for our caretakers NOT to mingle with our guests, unless requested by the guests. Should you need our caretakers' assistance, you may reach out to us so we could instruct them to assist you.
• Consumables, like food, chips, drinking water, liquors, ice, charcoal, etc. can be brought to the resort. However, you can also buy these items from our caretaker's in-house store.
• There is a CORKAGE FEE OF ₱1,500 for each CATERING SERVICES, LIGHTS and SOUNDS party suppliers.
• Our resort is well-maintained and checked by our caretakers after each guest. ANY DAMAGE, BREAKAGE or LOSS of any of our facilities, appliances, equipment, beddings, pillows, cooking materials, etc. will be subjected to corresponding cost of repair or replacement and SHALL BE PAID BY THE GUEST PRIOR CHECKOUT .
• Please avoid bringing food and drinks near the pool area. Alcoholic beverages react to the pool treatments and will cause discoloration on the pool water.
• SMOKING, EATING and DRINKING are STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED inside the bedrooms and CRs.
• The floor is SLIPPERY WHEN WET. Please be extra careful and always look after your children. NO DIVING and NO HORSE BACK RIDING.

• Down payments are non-refundable under any circumstances. This is to cover up operating expenses and loss of earnings due to default cancellation of the guests. However, guests have the option to reschedule the confirmed rental. Changes for your date and time schedule should be notified 1 month before the scheduled reservation. Should it be less than a month a fee of 2,000 Pesos per day would be charge for re-booking. Rescheduling is only allowed if it is more than 2 weeks from the reserved date with 2,000 pesos charge

• Use the toilet and shower before swimming.
• No bringing of food and drink in the pool.
• No PETS allowed inside the Resort. Strict compliance for hygiene and sensitive allergen.
• Dangerous activities and risky behavior are prohibited in or around the swimming pools. Guests must not run around or near the pools; climb, sit on or jump from fences; dive in shallow water; dunk, push, pull or splash other people. Back jumps, twisting and flips are not permitted at any time.
• Be aware of the depth markings of the swimming pools at all times. Remember NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY.
• No glass or breakable containers, hazardous and sharp metal objects are allowed in or near the swimming pools.
• All minors and young children must be accompanied by a parent or by a responsible adult when swimming or near the swimming pool.
• Spitting, spouting water, blowing of nose and discharge of bodily fluids in the pool is prohibited.
• Toddlers will not be allowed to wander around the pool deck or sit on the edge of the pool unless accompanied by a parent or a responsible adult.
• The Spring at Pansol provides 24-hour security. We are equipped with CCTV cameras for our guests’ protection.
• Guests are required to present one (1) valid identification card upon signing in the GUESTS INFORMATION SHEET.
• For families or groups, a coordinator or set of coordinators must be assigned or designated by the family or group of guests. Coordinators shall be in charge of reminding their companions of the rules on security, safety and hygiene. Coordinators will be accountable and responsible for all violations, untoward activities, actions and behaviors of their family members or group mates.
• Security guards of the resort shall have all the rights to inspect bags of guests whenever the situation arises based on our Inspection Guidelines. Please cooperate at all times as this is for your protection.
• Be that as it may, The Spring at Pansol will not be held responsible or liable in the event of damage, loss or theft of your properties, including your motor vehicles. Guests must safely keep their monies and other valuables.
• Only registered guests are allowed to use our resort and facilities. In the event that a registered guest allows an unregistered person to enter his/her room or access the resort or use its facilities, then The Spring at Pansol will not be responsible and liable in case of untoward incidents.
• We reserve the right to refuse entry or eject guests and other groups and individuals from the premises of the resort for breach or violation of these terms and conditions.
• We perform walkthrough to establish mutual understanding that the facility is well kept and in good condition. We will give you a chance to check and confirm every part of the Villa before signing this form.
• Any loss and damage will be charge according based on current prices of repair and/or replacement of resort properties that were broken or mishandled by guests.
• For this purpose, we reserve the right to require from guests a reasonable security deposit P3,500.00 on a case to case basis.
• By booking, you have solemnly declared that you have carefully read and completely understood the foregoing waiver of liability and disclaimer terms and conditions, and voluntarily agreed to all of them.
