Good Times Adventures offers one of winter’s most popular activities just minutes from downtown Breckenridge, providing access to some of the most amazing views in Colorado.  With our large lodge, miles of beautiful trails, and brand new snowmobiles, Good Times is perfect for individuals, families, or corporate groups. Our 2021 Ski-Doo 600 snowmobiles are state-of-the-art –   equipped with hand warmers, electric starters, and backrests, ready to take you into the backcountry of Breckenridge in style! Our guides are very experienced and knowledgeable, we keep the guide- to- guest ratio small, and our facilities and equipment are top-notch. All of this allows Good Times Adventures to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and very memorable experience for you and your whole group!

Good Times & Amazing Memories!

Each 2-hour trip starts with a short snowmobiling instruction from your guide, after which you will go to our practice area to get comfortable on your sled. Once the group gets out on the trail you will be treated to incredible scenery throughout the Swan River Valley, with a few stops along the way to take it all in. Later in the ride, you start your way up to Georgia Pass, ending up on top of the Continental Divide at 11,585 feet above sea level. The view from up here is spectacular! Back at base, you can enjoy a warm fireplace. Tour time with your guide is approximately two hours. Tours depart hourly throughout the day with the first tour at 9 am. Guests must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to tour time for check-in.

Drivers* – $240.00 passengers – $90.

* The minimum age to drive our snowmobiles is 15, and you MUST be at least 18 to carry a passenger. Sorry, no exceptions – it’s the law. ** Due to the nature of this activity the minimum age for children is 5 and for safety reasons pregnant women are not allowed on tours.

REALLY Important Information

• Reservations are required and must be paid in full at that time in order to guarantee your trip.
• There are no refunds for any cancellations or drops in party numbers within 24 hours of the scheduled trip time, and 72 hours notice is required for groups of fifteen or more.
• You must be least 15 years old to drive a snowmobile. No exceptions.
• Drivers must be at least 18 years old to carry a passenger.
• Youth 14 and under must ride as a passenger.
• Children 4 and under and pregnant women are not allowed on any of our tours.
• A maximum of 2 people per snowmobile with a combined weight of 400 pounds.
• A signed credit card imprint is required on all snowmobile tours as an equipment damage deposit.
• A signed liability agreement is required for each participant prior to the trip.
• Trips will depart at the scheduled time. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your tour to allow time for checking in and getting geared up. We cannot hold a tour for late arrivals.
• We ride snow or shine. We do not cancel due to weather. Riding when the snow is falling is amazing!

What To Wear

• Check the weather and plan accordingly. Passengers, especially children, tend to be more susceptible to the cold – please make sure they are well prepared.
• Multiple layers and ski wear, winter boots and snowboarding boots, goggles, sunglasses, gloves and neck warmers are highly recommended.
• You are responsible for providing your own gloves, goggles, neck warmers, etc . Good Times has neck warmers, goggles, gloves, hand warmers and fleece outerwear available for purchase.
• Adult snowmobile suits and boots are available at no extra charge for those who need additional gear. Sorry, we do not have children’s suits.
• We provide open face helmets which are required for all snowmobilers. You may bring your own helmet if you like, but it must be DOT approved. Ski helmets are NOT allowed for snowmobiling .
• Don’t forget the sunscreen, camera, water and sense of adventure!

BEGINNER & FAMILY FRIENDLY SNOWMOBILE TOURS

All guests will receive instruction on how to operate the snowmobile before departure.

**MUST HAVE A VALID LEARNER’S PERMIT OR DRIVER’S LICENSE TO DRIVE A SNOWMOBILE**

VALLEY TOUR

The Valley Tour at the Birdseye Outpos t is for those that want to start out on our practice track and then stay down in the valley and ride on our flattest trails while taking in the scenery.

Snowmobile enthusiasts of all types will enjoy this professionally guided tour. It departs from our Heeney Outpost near Silverthorne, Colorado OR from our Birdseye Outpost south of Copper Mountain. We have pickup locations for your party in both Breckenridge and Keystone for your convenience, or we can pick you up from many of the resorts in Summit County. See below to compare both snowmobile tours.

While it’s best suited for those lacking experience with snowmobiling or families with children, anyone can enjoy the breathtaking views and good times tooling around on the trails or playing on our oval track in the meadow. We also offer a 1,000 foot tubing hill as an option at our Heeney Outpost where everyone can let out their inner child! (See our Scenic + Tubing Tour!)

Depending on weather and the tour you pick, some of the sights include: Rocky Mountain National Park, the Continental Divide, and several of the tallest peaks in the Rocky Mountains. Bring a camera and let your guide know if you’re the type who is into taking advantage of all the photo opportunities. They will be happy to show you all the best places to take photos that your friends will envy! Along the way, we’ll stop off at our “cocoa” cabin to warm up with complimentary hot beverages while you’re surrounded by Eagle’s Nest Wilderness.

BIRDSEYE OUTPOST

The Valley Snowmobile Tour at Birdseye could be the best choice for you if you want a slow paced tour that stays down in the valley.  It starts with instruction on how to operate the snowmobile and takes you directly to a practice track where you can learn how your snowmobile handles.  After the practice track, you head down the trail that goes through the forest and parallels the headwaters of the Arkansas river.

On a clear day, you can see the three tallest mountains in the Rockies! Make sure you ask your guide to stop at the Cocoa Hut to enjoy some free hot chocolate and let the kids ride the kiddie snowmobiles.  You can also request to your guide that you would like to stay on the flattest trails we have so that your guide will know to guide you on trails with very little up and down. Please know that you control the speed of your snowmobile, if you have any concerns you may stop your snowmobile and your guide will happily come to help you.

SCENIC TOUR

Great for those that want to go up the mountain and take in the scenery. This tour is ideal for families and people who want to go slow and learn to ride a snowmobile.

HEENEY OUTPOST

The Scenic Snowmobile Tour at Heeney is a slow paced tour that goes up the mountain, rewarding you with expansive views that you only get with an elevated overlook. On a clear day, you can see over 40 miles and look over the top of the Continental Divide at Rocky Mountain National Park and north to Rabbit Ears Pass. If it’s really clear, you can see mountains over 70 miles away. First you will receive instruction on how to operate the snowmobile at the beginning of the tour. Next you will head out onto the the trail that gently takes you up the mountain.

During your tour your guide will stop you at great places to take pictures and at the Cocoa Cabin so you can warm up sipping hot chocolate while overlooking the Eagles Nest Wilderness. Also let your guide know if you want to open up the throttle on the 3/4 mile long track. You can also let your kids ride the kiddie snowmobiles at this stop.

This popular tour splits your time between snowmobiling and snow tubing.

INTERMEDIATE SNOWMOBILE TOURS

ACTION TOUR

Do you want a faster paced tour? Then the Action Tour is for you. This faster pace tour is great for the beginner all the way to intermediate skill riders.

Snowmobile and snow tubing enthusiasts of all types will enjoy this professionally guided tour. It departs from our Heeney Outpost near Silverthorne, Colorado. For your convenience, we have pickup locations in both Breckenridge and Keystone, or we can pick your party up from many of the resorts in Summit County. Call us to schedule transportation.

This tour is best suited for those who want to go a little faster than the folks on the Scenic Tour! Split your time between riding the trails and sliding down our 1,000 foot tubing hill. Be prepared to let your inner child run wild! This isn’t your ordinary “wait in line and then ride a tow rope up a short hill” kind of tubing.

This is snow tubing HCT style and it’s nothing like the experience at your typical ski resort!

You’ll stop along the trail at our tubing hill and park your snowmobile and get in a snow tube. Your guide will tow you in your snow tube up to the top of the tubing hill, which is pretty fun all by itself. Then you’ll start sliding down the hill in either the faster or slower areas, depending on the type of ride you want.

Join up with your friends, or go solo…it’s up to you. Kids need to be able to ride down in a snow tube by themselves in order to participate.

This faster tour splits your time between snowmobiling and snow tubing.

Beginner Snowmobile Tours

These family tours are great for people who want to take it slow and learn to ride a snowmobile.

If you want start your tour on our practice track and stay down in the valley to take in the scenery, then the Birdseye tour is for you.

The Scenic Snowmobile Tour at Birdseye could be the best choice for you if you want a slow paced tour that stays down in the valley.

It starts with instruction on how to operate the snowmobile and takes you directly to a practice track where you can learn how your snowmobile handles.

After the practice track, you head down the trail that goes through the forest and parallels the headwaters of the Arkansas river. On a clear day, you can see the three tallest mountains in the Rockies!

Make sure you ask your guide to stop at the Cocoa Hut to enjoy some free hot chocolate and let the kids ride the kiddie snowmobiles.

You can also request to your guide that you would like to stay on the flattest trails we have so that your guide will know to guide you on trails with very little up and down.

Please know that you control the speed of your snowmobile, if you have any concerns you may stop your snowmobile and your guide will happily come to help you.

If you want to ride up the mountain to take in the view or add snow tubing then select the Heeney Outpost.

The Scenic Snowmobile Tour at Heeney is a slow paced tour that goes up the mountain, rewarding you with expansive views that you only get with an elevated overlook. This is the only location were you can add snow tubing for more family fun!

On a clear day, you can see over 40 miles and look over the top of the Continental Divide at Rocky Mountain National Park and north to Rabbit Ears Pass. If it’s really clear, you can see mountains over 70 miles away.

First you will receive instruction on how to operate the snowmobile at the beginning of the tour. Next you will head out onto the the trail that gently takes you up the mountain.

During your tour your guide will stop you at great places to take pictures and at the Cocoa Cabin so you can warm up sipping hot chocolate while overlooking the Eagles Nest Wilderness.

Also let your guide know if you want to open up the throttle on the 3/4 mile long track. You can also let your kids ride the kiddie snowmobiles at this stop.

INTERMEDIATE Snowmobile Tours

These faster pace tours are great for beginner to intermediate skill riders.

The Action Tour at Heeney is a faster paced tour that goes up the mountain, rewarding you with expansive views that you only get with an elevated overlook.

First you will receive instruction on how to operate the snowmobile at the beginning of the tour. Next you will head out onto the the trail that takes you up the mountain.

The Mountain Top Action Tour at our Birdseye Outpost is a favorite for our more adventurous riders. You must be ready and willing to give your snowmobile full throttle when needed as you ascend Prospect Mountain (12,600ft).

From this altitude well above tree line you can see many of the tallest mountains in the Rockies. You will also snowmobile by old gold and silver mines.

This ride may be a good option for first time snowmobilers looking for a more adventurous ride. Before heading up the mountain you will have time to get comfortable riding your snowmobile on the practice track.

This faster pace tour allows you to enjoy the snow tubing hill during your snowmobile tour.

Birdseye Outpost

The Birdseye Outpost is surrounded by majestic mountains many over 14,000 feet tall and the continental divide. Located 17 miles south of Copper Mountain the trail system which goes to over 12,600 feet provides incredible views including the three tallest mountains in the Rockies. Another interesting feature here are the old gold and silver mines in Leadville’s Historic Mining District.

Heeney Outpost

The Heeney Outpost is located in Northern Summit County, known for its open space and awe inspiring views of the Eagles Nest Wilderness and the jagged peaks of the Gore Range.  Tours here stop at the Cocoa Cabin located on a hilltop where you can warm up sipping a complimentary cup of Hot Chocolate and take in the view overlooking the wilderness.

The groomed trails present little trouble for snowmobilers who are just out to try the sport, but more difficult terrain is available as the comfort level increases.

Summit County offers maps and information for the experienced riders seeking the endless system of local trails in the vast backcounty of the region. Those riders who venture into the backcounty unguided should be knowledgeable in backcountry and avalanche safety.

Where to go Snowmobiling

Keystone Keystone snowmobiling is a great chance to get a feel for the sport. Take a tour for an hour or two, a half day, or even more to experience the mountain vistas within easy access from the town.

Breckenridge More than just a stroll through the park, taking a chance on Breckenridge snowmobiling will be the highlight of a vacation. Head up the steeps, turn around and drop down into untracked powder on a machine that feeds adrenaline through the handlebars.

White River National Forest If you have your own machine, or you take advantage of the Breckenridge snowmobile rentals, think about heading out into some of the backcountry forest trails. There is a large network waiting for independents to link together various trails on a custom trip, suited to their skill levels and needs.

Webster Pass Road This is a great way to get out into the backcountry. Try making a loop out of the day by heading to Deer Creek via Radical Hill.

• Trailhead: Through Keystone, the trailhead is past Montezuma on Hwy. 6.
• Distance: 3.66 miles one-way
• Elevation Gain: 1,493 feet
• Level of Difficulty: Moderate

Deer Creek Road Connecting to Webster Pass Road via Radical Hill, this is can be either a great run in itself, or half of a loop with Webster Pass Road.

• Trailhead: Heading through Keystone, Deer Creek Road is just 0.5 miles past Montezuma on Hwy. 6.
• Distance: 3.33 miles to the summit of Radical Hill
• Elevation Gain: 1,772 feet

Rentals & Fees

Rental prices vary for the size of the machine, the duration of the rental, and the size of the group. Take a look at some of the shops below for specific information.

If the trails are in the Vail Pass Winter Recreation Area, there is a fee of $6 per person. Children 13 and under are free.

Hire a Guide

In addition to the ride itself, most individuals enjoy the knowledge brought by a tour operator. They will share their experience of the ecology, biology and geology of the area, adding an educational aspect to the tour.

Tours range from 1, 2 or 3 hours, even a full day. Lunch and dinner tours are also offered, as well as private tours. Operators will gladly customize a trip to accommodate larger groups or special requests.
