Skradinski buk is the last of seven waterfalls on the Krka River but surely not the least as it creates most travertine cascades, islands and lakes. In over 17 steps of Skradinski buk, spread over 800 meters in length, lies one of the most unusual and beautiful landscape images of the National Park, one of the most famous Croatian natural beauties and the largest travertine waterfall in Europe.

The day wouldn’t be complete without some swimming in the turquoise waters of the Adriatic sea. And we have chosen to take you to the town of Primosten, where lies some of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia, voted as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Croatia. But not only the beaches will impress you, the charming Primosten town is one of the most photographed towns in Croatia , with a unique panorama of the old town, situated on a peninsula and surrounded with miles and miles of beaches.

Enjoy 2 hours of free time in Primosten for swimming or exploring it’s cobblestone streets , or take the option to try some wine tasting here too, which we’ll be happy to arrange for you.

Starting your day in Split we will head to our first destination, the Krka National Park where we will explore its major attraction, the stunningly beautiful Skradinski Buk waterfall, one of Croatia’s absolute must visit sites. While here you will be provided with a guided tour of Skradinski Buk and its various water mills and award-winning ethno village.

Following this, you have a several of hours free time to take amazing pictures of the pristine Skradinski Buk waterfalls. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity you won’t want to miss. Moving onto our next destination it’s a picturesque boat ride from Skradinski Buk to Skradin. Skradin is a picture perfect town which embodies the essence of Dalmatia. Here you will spend 1,5 hour in Skradin, walking in the city or swimming on the beautiful beach.

10:00 – 11:30 Departure from Split to Krla National Park

We always take the fast highway to avoid the old coastal road, which is winding and often congested. The highway is also certainly more pleasant for the passengers in the vehicle.

11:30 – 12:00  Guided tour of national park Krka & Skradinski Buk  

Skradinski Buk is one of Croatia’s natural treasures and is the longest and most impressive waterfall on the Krka River. Here your licensed guide will take you on a tour of this stunning cascading waterfall, the centuries old water mills, rolling mills and washing columns where you will see the traditional folk architecture.

From there it’s off to the “Golden Flower of Europe award” an award-winning Ethno village to learn about the history of Skradinski Buk. In addition, your guide will show you the rich diversity of the Flora, 1022 recorded species, and the endemic, rare and threatened fauna of Krka National Park.

12:00 – 14:00 Free time for lunch (optional) and exploring Krka Park

This is where you will get a rare opportunity to admire the crystal clear pools under the Skradinski Buk waterfall and explore its travertine formations. This is a magical experience and something you will always treasure long after you return home. Be sure to bring your camera along.

Take this time to grab some lunch from one of the many affordable restaurants in the National Park. In your free time, you may also want to explore the local area and walk one of the many trails through the National Park.  The choice is yours.

14:30 – 15:00 Departure from Krka National Park to Skradin by boat

There is nothing quite like meandering down a quiet river taking in the picturesque surrounds of the Krka National Park. Here you will get the chance to do so. The beauty of the Krka River is best seen from a boat with uninterrupted views. Along the way keep any eye out for the local swans, beautiful scenery, all set in a pristine natural environment. It’s the perfect time to sit back and reflect on your incredible day.

15:00 – 16:30 F ree time in Skradin town

Your guide will escort you on the boat to Skradin. Upon arrival, you will notice the Skradin Marina, with its 180 boat capacity, is one of the best looking marina’s you have ever seen. Skradin has a long history and was once a Roman Municipal, ruled by the Venetians, and the Turkish at different times in history. You can chose to spend an 1,5 hour wondering in the city and/or swimming at the beach.

We were in a spacious air conditioned bus, traveled in style, a very calm and professional driver Andrew made a sometimes difficult drive completely without drama. She knows so many things and cared a lot about keeping us close to her, recommended the best view points and where to eat. Dragan the driver was always perfectly on time, the bus was very clean and he drove safely and carefully through the not so "easy" landscapes! Guide + driver 10/10. please be aware that the boat ride doesn't take you "near" the waterfalls.
