Suri Cruise Is All Grown Up After 18th Birthday as She Steps Out With Mom Katie Holmes in NYC

The teen was spotted with her mom in the Big Apple, both wearing coordinating denim for their outing.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes ‘ daughter, Suri Cruise , turned 18 earlier this month and is spending time with her mom, 45. The mother-daughter duo were recently spotted in New York City together following Suri’s birthday.

On Monday, April 22, Suri stepped out carrying what appeared to be an iced coffee alongside Katie, according to photos published by Daily Mail . For their day out, the teen wore a red maxi dress with a long denim overcoat and brown boots. As for Katie, she chose a pair of dark denim jeans with a green long-sleeved shirt for the outing.

Suri is rarely seen out in public. Up until now, she was legally a minor, and Katie preferred to keep her daughter away from the spotlight. However, the Coda actress shared a rare childhood picture of Suri to her Instagram in May 2021 in honor of Mother’s Day at the time. The image featured a then-toddler-aged Suri as Katie kissed her cheek.

“I am so grateful to be a mom to the sweetest daughter,” Katie captioned the post. “Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms!!!!”

The former Dawson’s Creek star previously opened up about being a famous parent to a young child during a 2017 interview with Town & Country. While noting that this “business is so unstable, and you never really know where you’re going to be,” Katie explained how she made sure to protect Suri’s childhood.

“My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now,” Katie said. “It’s very important that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed.”

As for Suri’s dad, Tom, 61, was recently seen at Victoria Beckham‘ s 50th birthday party over the weekend. The Mission Impossible movie star was reportedly seen breakdancing at the soiree, which was held in London.

Rumors have swirled over the years claiming that Tom has not been present in Suri’s life since his divorce from Katie in 2012. However, neither of the parents has publicly reacted to this speculation.

Katie Holmes is celebrating her mini-me daughter Suri Cruise 's birthday with some rare pictures.

To celebrate her daughter turning 15 on Sunday, Holmes, who is famously private about the teen, posted three Instagram photos of Suri taken throughout the years. Homes shares the teen with ex-husband Tom Cruise , to whom she was married from 2006 to 2012.

In one of the pictures, Holmes cradles her look-alike daughter in arms. In another, Suri smiles for the camera while giving mom a big hug.

"Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!!" Holmes wrote in the caption. "I can’t believe you are already 15!"

Other stars gushed over the cute photos in the comments.

Though Holmes is known for keeping her daughter out of the spotlight, the "Dawson's Creek" star, 42, opened up about bonding with Suri during the coronavirus pandemic  in her November cover story for Vogue Australia .

"Hobbies such as sewing, painting and writing became new hallmarks of satisfaction and having had time at home to just be," she wrote. "To listen. To live for a moment in time without the pressure of results and instead appreciate the natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift."

How Suri Cruise Reacted When She Finally Saw Mom Katie Holmes In Dawson's Creek

No matter how famous one gets, you are never too famous to be laughed at by your children — something Katie Holmes quickly found out after having a television watch party with her daughter, Suri Cruise. The "Batman Begins" actress shared the comical family moment in a March 2023 interview with Variety , recalling the moment her teenage daughter discovered the sun-soaked TV drama that made Holmes famous: "Dawson's Creek."

The Y2K-era teen drama ran from 1998 to 2003, meaning the last episode aired only three years before Suri Cruise was born to Holmes and her ex-husband, Tom Cruise. Holmes played Joey Potter, the book-smart girl next door with a troubled family history, winning audiences over with her unassuming charisma and signature sideways grin and toothy smile. Holmes' daughter, however? Well, smitten might not be the word we'd use to describe her reaction. 

Luckily, Holmes' relationship with her daughter Suri is incredibly positive, which helped smooth over the laughably awkward moment the two shared over the show.

Suri Cruise was almost as old as Katie Holmes was when she started in the series

Watching your parents act in movies and television is surreal enough — a reality difficult to avoid when your parents are Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. But for Suri Cruise, who first watched her mother star in "Dawson's Creek" at around the same age Holmes was when she first started on the series, it made the entire experience even more surreal. 

"I think it's probably weird since she's a teenager," Holmes told Variety . "I'm not like, 'You need to watch mommy's work.' But during the pandemic, we had a good laugh about it. It's wild to have a daughter who's almost the same age as I was when I began all this." Still, Suri might be able to glean the same insights her mother was able to take away from the show as a teen. 

Holmes discussed her teen soap roots for the April 2023 Glamour cover story, saying, "I was just 18 when we started, and I really appreciated the writing because I felt like, as a teenager, I had so many different feelings, trying to go from being a girl to a woman. And I felt like [creator Kevin Williamson] had this way of putting words to those feelings."

Katie Holmes has welcomed Suri Cruise into her professional world with open arms

Suri Cruise might have had to awkwardly laugh off the half-cringe, half-heartwarming behemoth that was her mother's breakthrough show, but this is not the first time Suri has gotten an up-close look at Katie Holmes' professional life. The mother-daughter duo collaborated on Holmes' 2022 film, "Alone Together," for which Suri sang a cover of Frank Sinatra's "Blue Moon."

"I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her," Holmes said in an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment . "She's very talented. She said she would do it, and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing. That's the way I direct in general. It's like, 'This is what I think we all want, and then go do your thing.'" Suri's vocals were also featured in Holmes' 2023 film, "Rare Objects." 

As Suri continues to grow up into Katie Holmes' mini-me , it's clear that Holmes is interested in continuing her professional collaboration with her daughter. "I hope [Suri] always does something on my films. I always ask her. It was very meaningful to me to have her there because she's my heart," Holmes told Glamour . Who knows — with Suri now flashing Holmes' signature smile , maybe she could star in a "Dawson's Creek" reboot someday soon.

Suri Cruise inherited more than just her mother Katie Holmes ’s face—her fabulous sense of style was also clearly woven into her DNA. The mother-daughter duo turned a coffee run into a runway, each of them showing off their personal style.

Wearing a very Holmesian outfit, the actor donned a cozy gray crewneck sweater, which she layered over a striped button-up shirt. She paired her layered look with a pair of indigo blue jeans and black Adidas Sambas—a stalwart shoe in her closet full of funky loafers and cork wedges. Holmes gave her preppy look a touch of boho chic with her accessorizing, adding a pair of oversized sunglasses and a black leather hobo bag slung over her shoulder.

Cruise, meanwhile, is all in on the boho revival . The freshly minted 18-year-old was too young to fully participate in the last bohemian moment, and is making up for lost time. She wore a tiered maxi dress with a red pattern with a pair of well-worn light brown Frye boots. Layering up on a chilly morning, Cruise layered an olive corduroy jacket underneath a denim overcoat.

Like her daughter, Holmes has also been known to love a good boho moment now and again. A longtime fan of Chloé , she’s worn iterations of the brand from Phoebe Philo’s tenure to Gabriella Hearst’s. Chemena Kamali , Chloé’s new creative director, recently posted a photo on Instagram of her own mother, dubbing her “Chloé at heart.” Might we suggest Kamali kick off the new Chloé era with a mother-daughter campaign starring, say, Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise ?

Katie Holmes gives birth to girl, Suri

Word of the world’s most famous silent birth has finally been heard.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the public lovebirds dubbed TomKat by the media, “joyously welcomed the arrival” of a baby girl Tuesday, said Cruise spokesman Arnold Robinson.

The girl, named Suri, came into the world at 7 pounds, 7 ounces and 20 inches long. Her name has its origins in Hebrew, meaning “princess,” or in Persian, meaning “red rose,” Robinson said in a statement.

“Both mother and daughter are doing well,” the publicist said.

Details about the birth weren’t disclosed, but it had been planned to take place as a silent procedure under the tenets of the Church of Scientology, to which both Cruise and Holmes belong.

Scientologists believe words spoken during times of pain are recorded by the “reactive mind” and can cause potential problems for both mother and child.

Suri’s birth, which happened in Los Angeles although the exact location was not disclosed, generated a huge noise among the world of Cruise-Holmes watchers.

“Yay, yay, yay,” said actress and fellow Scientologist Kirstie Alley. “Bring her over so I can meet her.”

“Tonight Show” host Jay Leno announced the birth to his studio audience.

“I just got a phone call that Tom Cruise had a baby girl about two minutes ago. No joke,” he said.

Suri is the 27-year-old actress’ first child. Cruise, 43, has an adopted daughter and son — Isabella, 13, and Connor, 11 — with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.

Brooke Shields also gives birth In a strange twist of fate, Suri was born on the same day Brooke Shields gave birth to her daughter, Grier Hammond Henchy. Shields and Cruise had a public spat last year after he criticized the actress for taking antidepressants following the birth of her first child.

At the Beverly Hills home of Cruise and Holmes on Tuesday, about a dozen reporters and photographers stood outside the gates and a steady stream of tourists and curious passers-by stopped to take a look. Some visitors left baby gifts outside the gate, which was shrouded in black to keep anyone from peering inside.

A police motorcycle officer stopped in the late afternoon to watch the goings-on. The patrolman, who identified himself as Officer Chase, said he was making a routine check because there had been heightened activity around the area.

He asked if Holmes had given birth yet and, told she had, he drove off.

Meanwhile, a publicity blitz for the new Cruise movie “Mission: Impossible III,” which was to begin Wednesday, has been put on hold. The actor has canceled all press appearances, according to Paramount Studios.

It was just about a year ago that Cruise’s romance with Holmes became a worldwide sensation.

The actor hopped up and down on a couch during an interview with Oprah Winfrey as he professed his love.

“I can’t be cool. I can’t be laid-back,” Cruise declared at the time. “Something happened and I want to celebrate it.”

The antics were widely mocked but Cruise was unfazed and continued to display his affection for the star of TV’s “Dawson’s Creek.”

“Today is a magnificent day for me, I’m engaged to a magnificent woman,” he said.

No wedding date has been disclosed.

Holmes was previously engaged to actor Chris Klein. Cruise, previously married to Mimi Rogers and Kidman, also had a high-profile romance with Penelope Cruz.

The birth further whetted the appetite for Hollywood’s next high-profile pregnancy: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who have been staying in the southwest African country of Namibia, are expecting the birth of their first child.

How Suri Cruise's lifestyle with mom Katie Holmes has drastically changed ahead of adulthood

Suri Cruise is counting down the days until adulthood, as the teenager turns 18 on April 18. Katie Holmes ' mini-me will no doubt have a day to remember with her mom and friends in New York City, where she has grown up since childhood. 

However, the 17-year-old's life has changed quite a lot over the years, as her early years were very different to the laidback lifestyle she is experiencing today. 

Born in Santa Monica, California, Suri grew up in Hollywood in an impressive $40M Beverly Hills mansion with her dad Tom Cruise and mom Katie, complete with a swimming pool, children's playground and guest houses. 

They lived there until Katie and Tom's separation in 2012. The then-couple also nested in a beautiful $59M house in Colorado, which had everything from a private trail system, ice hockey rink and a library.

What's more, Suri was also in the spotlight with her parents regularly, with her mom even coming to her defense back in 2009 when the then three-year-old was pictured on a number of occasions wearing heels. 

At the time, Katie told Access Hollywood: "Like every little girl, she loves my high heels. They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids. I found them for her and she loves them."

Since Katie and Tom's split, which has since resulted in the Mission Impossible actor becoming estranged from his daughter, Suri has grown up for the majority of her childhood in New York City. 

The cosmopolitan city has everything available to eat, buy and do, and Suri will have enjoyed having an exciting but down-to-earth lifestyle as a result. 

Celebrities love NYC because they can enjoy a sense of anonymity, and Katie has certainly ensured that's been the case for her daughter. The proud mom doesn't share pictures of Suri on social media anymore, but has occasionally opened up about how proud she is of her only child. It's clear that Suri has developed her parents' talents for performing, and showcased her incredible singing voice back in 2022. 

Suri was heard singing the opening credits of Katie's film, Alone Together, when she was just 15. She sang a pitch-perfect rendition of Blue Moon, and her mom was more than proud. 

Chatting to Yahoo! Entertainment about her daughter's role in the movie, she said: "She's very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it and I let her do her thing. "That's the way I direct in general: It's like, 'This is what I think we all want - go do your thing'." 

The mom-of-one was asked why she chose Suri for the job and she said: "I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her." Suri is incredibly creative and these skills have been encouraged by her mom. Katie previously revealed that the pair enjoyed many crafty hobbies during the height of the pandemic during lockdown. "I painted, we had a sewing machine, so we were making quilts, we were cooking; we were on a perpetual vacation," Katie told the sophomore issue of Amazing magazine. 

"We were also on a lake and there was a hammock, so I would wake up, sew, have coffee, take a nap on the hammock [laughs]… Oh and, by the way, I have to throw this in; we were staying by a lake, so we probably watched Dirty Dancing ten times. Let me tell you, I danced to it in the living room, and it still holds up. It was fun."

Inside Tom Cruise's Daughter Suri's Life at 16 after Claims That He Did Not See Her for 6 Years

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were the "It couple" when they were married years ago. The couple welcomed their daughter, Suri, and the "Mission Impossible" actor was a present father before things changed.

The press accused him of abandoning his daughter, and he sued a couple of them for making false claims. Tom Cruise's little girl is now a teenager, and they have rarely been spotted together, as she resides with her mom in New York City.

Despite the claims of the strained relationship between father and daughter, Suri, who recently turned 16, has a flourishing relationship with her mother.

Holmes and Tom got married on November 18, 2006, but they met in 2005 and went public with their relationship when they toured Italy together.

Like every other girl, she had dreams of marrying Tom, and her dreams came to pass. Two months after they started dating, they were ready to settle down and announced their engagement.

They followed their engagement with the news that they had a baby on the way. Tom and Holmes often talked about their daughter, Suri Cruise, who turned 16 in April 2022. Here are more details about their relationship and Suri's life now.

TOM CRUISE AND HIS DAUGHTER'S RELATIONSHIP BEFORE HIS DIVORCE FROM KATIE HOLMES

In 2012, Holmes and Tom divorced, and some fans were surprised. Before their divorce, Tom was highly involved in Suri's life. He said :

"My whole life, I always wanted to be a father."

He was never the type of father who believed that one could spoil a child with too much love. The actor acknowledged that giving a child too much love was impossible.

Tom wanted his adopted children from his relationship with Nicole Kidman and Suri to have a close relationship. The actor said :

INSIDE THE ACTOR'S RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS DAUGHTER SURI TODAY

During the custody battle between Holmes and Tom, the actor confirmed in court that he only saw Suri for ten days between June 18, 2012, and Thanksgiving in 2012, meaning he did not see her for more than 100 days. An insider said :

"Tom never intended to be estranged from his daughter when he decided to have a family with Katie and looks forward to repairing the relationship one day."

Three years after their divorce, the actor sued two US magazines that claimed he "abandoned" his daughter Suri and didn't see her for 801 days.

The times were challenging for Tom and Suri. However, an insider shared that he always loved and thought about her even as she became a teenager. Samantha Domingo, a former Scientologist follower, said :

"Members of the Church are big believers in reincarnation, she says, so their viewpoint is that "Suri's not really his daughter — she's just a spiritual being in his daughter's body."

Domingo claimed the "Top Gun" star did not see his daughter for six years because his religion forbade it as Suri is not a devoted member.

The former member also claimed that he probably did it for a photo op to avoid criticism when the press sighted Tom with Suri. However, a spokeswoman for the church vehemently denied all of Domingo's allegations.

During the custody battle, Tom said there was no need to protect his daughter from his religion, and despite not seeing her, they spoke regularly over the phone.

KATIE HOLMES' RELATIONSHIP WITH HER DAUGHTER IS THRIVING

One month after Holmes filed for divorce, she won primary custody of Suri, and years later, their relationship has flourished, with both of them closer than ever. Holmes said :

"I love her so much. My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality. To make sure she is 100 percent herself and strong, confident, and able."

Holmes and Suri are almost always together and have attended several Hollywood events in each other's company. However, Holmes rarely offers details about her daughter's life to the public.

Nonetheless, in an interview in 2019, Holmes revealed that she loved growing up with Suri. She said :

"I was happy to become a mum in my twenties... It's been nice that our ages fit…"

As they grew older, she said their age difference had always been a good match. The mother and daughter duo have enjoyed things like shopping and going for walks together as they are incredibly close.

However, when Suri was younger, Holmes avoided going out because of the press, and she said :

"But there's one video where I'm holding her — she was 2 at the time — and she starts waving at the cameras. She's pretty special."

Holmes, who tries to be a fitness role model to her daughter, is also excited to set excellent examples for Suri without becoming too obsessed with trends.

Suri grew up to be an accomplished teenager. She started taking ballet lessons as a child and briefly studied guitar. Another source revealed that she is a talented athlete well-liked by her close friends. The source said :

"Suri is very naturally athletic and excels at physical activities like gymnastics and dance."

Suri Cruise was once the most famous baby in America.

The arrival of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter on April 18, 2006, sparked a global frenzy for the first glimpse of the A-list infant.

But it wasn’t until five months after her birth that she made her debut — on the cover of Vanity Fair, wrapped in the arms of her doting parents, in glossy photos taken by photographer to the stars, Annie Leibovitz.

Now she turns 18 on Thursday and faces a choice: Whether to return to the level of fame she had as a kid — when there were blogs devoted to her fashion — or maintain the carefully-guarded life Holmes has built for her since she blindsided Cruise by filing for divorce.

The dark-haired teen has grown up in Manhattan largely shielded from the spotlight by her loving and highly protective mom, 45, far removed from her 60-year-old father’s Church of Scientology.

As Page Six revealed last year, Suri is estranged from her famous father and the pair have no relationship.

An industry source told us this week that the “Mission: Impossible” star has not seen Suri since 2012. “Katie has safeguarded Suri and she’s a devoted mom,” the source said.

“This is a girl who is a private citizen. She hasn’t lived her life in public.”

Holmes told Glamour magazine in 2023 that she likes to “protect” Suri from the public eye “because she was so visible at a young age.”

“I’m very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She’s an incredible person. She’s my heart,” she added.

Being the only daughter of a protective single parent is a stark contrast to how Suri’s life began, of course.

“My whole life I always wanted to be a father,” Cruise gushed to VF back in 2006.

“I always said to myself that my children would be able to depend on me and I would always be there for them and love them — that I’d never make a promise to my kids that I couldn’t keep.

“I’m not one of those people who believe you can spoil a child with too much love. You can never give a child too much love. There’s just no way.”

He already had two adopted children, Bella, now 31, and Connor, now 29, from his marriage to Nicole Kidman and after her Vanity Fair debut was happy to parade Suri for the paparazzi.

Cruise had famously declared their romance by jumping up and down on Oprah Winfrey’s couch in May 2005, yelling “I’m in love!” 

But when Suri was just 6, Holmes filed for divorce after six years of marriage with the help of her dad, Martin Holmes, a fierce attorney, and through a secret plan that entailed using burner phones.

Cruise was taken completely by surprise by the filing while he was on the set of “Oblivion” in Iceland in June 2012.

He and Suri were last seen together at Disney World in the summer of 2012.

In November 2013, during a deposition in his $50 million court battle against a pair of tabloid magazines, the “Top Gun” star admitted that Holmes had filed for divorce “to protect Suri from Scientology,” court documents revealed.

Despite not having a relationship; as per their divorce agreement, Cruise, who has an estimated $600 million fortune, agreed to pay Holmes $400,000 a year until Suri turns 18 as well as future “medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extracurricular costs”.

Scientology lies at the heart of the question over Suri’s future.

Holmes, who rose to fame in the TV hit, “Dawson’s Creek,” is believed to have signed multiple non-disclosure documents that will prevent her from ever talking about her marriage to Cruise — and her time inside Scientology.

But when Suri turns 18, NY state declares that she is at the age of majority, when an individual is legally considered an adult.

That would allow her to speak about her father, his beliefs and their rift.

Tony Ortega, who has covered Scientology in depth for decades, told Page Six, “Suri would have been too young to sign any agreement, but she will now be free to talk if she wants to and it’s going to be really interesting if she has something to say.”

We have reached out to reps for Cruise, Holmes and the Church of Scientology. 

“Part of why Katie left when she did when Suri was 6 was that Katie would have seen Isabella and Connor going through Scientology,” said Ortega.

Cruise is of course Scientology’s most famous follower and seen as one of its most powerful figures, possibly second only to its leader, David Miscavige.

That power has led Ortega and former Scientologists to question what action Miscavige and other top Scientologists may have taken against Holmes and her daughter.

Regular members who quit are declared “suppressive persons (SP)” and those who stay in Scientology are told to completely cut them off.

“We don’t know for sure if Katie was ever declared an SP,” Ortega said.

“If you are a regular church member you could be told to disconnect from your wife and daughter, but because Tom is a celebrity — he’s  the top celebrity — he gets to ignore all this stuff.

“Your average member would be kicked out, but David Miscavige can’t do that with Tom.”

Both Mike Rinder and Jeff Augustine, two high-profile former Scientologists, agreed with this claim.

Augustine is married to Karen de la Carriere, who was one of the highest-ranking church leaders until she left in 2010 and told Page Six, “The situation with Suri is a larger story about Scientology and the subject of how they make people no longer useful to them or threats to them non-persons.

“It’s like they cease to exist and that’s what happened to Suri.”

Back in August 2020, Leah Remini — one of the most famous celebrities to leave and speak out against Scientology — told us that she believed Cruise, who now lives mainly in the UK , was waiting until Suri is older so he could indoctrinate her into Scientology.

Remini, who attended Cruise and Holmes’ November 2006 Italian wedding at the 15th-century Odescalchi Castle, said, “I’m sure his master plan is to wait until Suri gets older so that he can lure her into Scientology and away from her mother.”

Suri has tiptoed very gently into her parents’ showbusiness world while attending her exclusive Manhattan day school, singing “Blue Moon” in the opening credits of Holmes’ 2022 movie, “Alone Together.”

“I always want the highest level of talent,” Holmes said. “So I asked her! She’s very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing.”

Suri also sang in the film “Rare Objects,” which Holmes also directed.

Holmes will this year return to Broadway in a revival of Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town”.

She has not remarried but had a six-year romance with actor Jamie Foxx which she kept under the radar before their split in August 2019 and went on to have a brief fling with  Nolita restaurateur Emilio Vitolo Jr. in 2021.

Holmes is careful not to speak out too much about her daughter, who is now preparing for college, once saying, “She came out very strong — she’s always been a strong personality.”

But she is now getting ready for her daughter to leave the nest.

“You want them to stay with you forever, but they’re these amazing beings, and you have to do everything you can to give them what they need — and then they’re going to go,” she told Town & Country in 2017.

“And that’s going to be very, very sad for me.”

As for the future, former Scientology spokesperson Mike Rinder, who has not seen his own two eldest children since he quit the organization, told Page Six, “Suri is not a Scientologist and never will be…she deserves love and sympathy.”

TOM Cruise's daughter Suri Cruise has been spotted on the streets of Manhattan looking like a full-blown adult.

The 17-year-old was seen in New York's Soho while walking with some friends.

Suri is the daughter of actors Tom Cruise , 60, and Katie Holmes , 44.

She was wearing a black tank top and a knee-length denim skirt which gave early 2000s vibes.

She paired it with several silver bracelets and a black string choker necklace that had a large silver flower on it.

On her feet were black sneakers and tall white socks that were scrunched down at her ankles.

Suri was also sporting a face full of makeup - lipstick and blush included.

TWO YEARS AGO

In August 2021, Katie and her lookalike daughter turned heads as they stepped out in New York City .

It was hard to miss that her daughter had a striking similarity to her actress mom in the early days of her career.

With her tall frame and long dark locks, the teen looked just like Katie when she starred in Dawson's Creek over 20 years ago.

Katie starred as Joey Potter in Dawson's Creek from 1998 to 2003, joining the show as a fresh-faced 18-year-old.

On their Friday outing, Katie kept it casual in a cream T-shirt tucked into white pants. Suri wore red shorts and cropped tank top.

Enjoying her evening stroll with her only child, Katie affectionately played with her daughter's brunette tresses while they waited for a crosswalk to turn green.

FATHER-DAUGHTER RELATIONSHIP

Suri has reportedly not seen  Top Gun  star Tom in more than a decade after her mom divorced him when she was five.

Katie gained sole custody of Suri in 2012, along with a generous settlement that has Tom paying a reported £325,000 a year for his daughter’s care.

After the split, Katie took Suri to New York which was 2,400 miles away from LA -based Tom.

The actor has been accused of putting his religion before his daughter, with ex-Scientologists claiming he has been ordered to shun Katie and Suri as non-believers.

High-profile former church member Samantha Domingo, daughter-in-law of opera singer Placido, spoke about the religion in 2019.

She said, “You can’t be anti- Scientology if you’re part of Tom’s family, you will be disconnected — look at his daughter Suri.”

She added that the church, which believes mankind is descended from an alien race of gods, viewed Suri “as a spiritual being in Tom’s daughter’s body”.
