An ATK (RAT) home test is not acceptable. Children under 18 who are traveling with unvaccinated parents also need to complete a test.

If not, then you will have to apply for a Thailand visa before your travel departure to Thailand. The Thailand tourist visa has a validity of 3 months for a single entry visa and 6 months for multiple entry visa, but the duration of stay in Thailand should not exceed more than 60 days.

Thailand Tourist Visa Requirements from Dubai

1. Passport

A valid passport is the most important document you need for any foreign travel. Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Thailand. Also, ensure your passport has enough blank pages for visa stamping. If not, visit your country’s passport office and get your passport renewed for additional pages. Handwritten and damaged passports will not be accepted during the visa application. Carry adequate photocopies of your passport just in case there is a loss or damage.

One important task you need to do is to contact your airline and find out if your flight is a connecting flight, and requires you to stop in another country. If it is so, then you may also need to apply for a transit visa for your stopover destination. You would also need to check the transit visa process of that particular country.

2. Visa Application Form

• Original Guarantee or No objection letter on Company’s letterhead and Official Fresh Stamp.
• If you are staying with family or friends in Thailand, the invitation letter from the host/owner of the accommodation mentioning a full address of accommodation with telephone number and time period to stay in Thailand will be required to be submitted.

6. Proof of Finances

You need to have an assured amount of money in your bank account that assures your financial sustainability during your stay in Thailand.  Proof of your finance has to be provided during the visa application process.  This includes your bank statements for the past 6 consecutive months. If you are traveling with your family, you need to show 45,000 AED as proof of funds and 25,000 AED at least in your bank account if you are traveling single.

Visa Fees: A Visa Fee of 150 AED for Single entry visa and 700 AED for Multiple entry visa will be charged. This fee is non-refundable even if your visa gets rejected.

• After this is done, you would be able to download the Thailand visa application form. Along with this, the details of your appointment would also be confirmed. You would have to print this receipt and carry it with you at the time of the appointment.
• The next step is to actually fill the application form. You need to note that your Thai visa application form has to be type-written. Once you fill the form correctly, take a printout that you have to carry with you for the appointment. Make sure you have all the required documents.
• On the day of the appointment, arrive at the Thai Consulate in Dubai well before time. You would have to wait in the queue for your turn. Once you present your application form and other documents, the officer might ask you a few questions.
• The next step is to pay the visa fee. A Visa Fee of 150 AED for a Single entry visa and 700 AED for a Multiple entry visa will be charged. This fee is non-refundable even if your visa gets rejected. Make sure to carry exact change. You would get a receipt after making the payment, which you would have to produce later when you get back your passport.
• The processing time for a Thailand visa is 24 hours or 1 day, excluding weekends and public holidays in Thailand and Dubai.

• Passport with at least 6 months validity and a blank visa page

• Copy of U.A.E. Residence Visa (for other nationalities)
• Original Guarantee or No objection letter on Company's letterhead and Official Fresh Stamp (in English)
• Copy of confirmed outbound ticket for a flight from Dubai (Ticket Airline PNR number must be accessible on the airline system)
• Copy of confirmed hotel booking (starting from the date of arrival into Thailand and covering at least half of the trip)
• Original Stamped Bank Statement Balance of the account for previous consecutive 6 months not less than 25,000 AED every day per person or 45,000 AED per family ( for Multiple Entry Visa only )
• Visa Fee : 150 AED for Single Entry / 700 AED for Multiple Entry Visa

Steps for getting Thai Visa in Dubai

Step 1 – booking your appointment.

You must schedule your appointment at Thai Consulate in Dubai at least 10 days in advance before your departure date. When booking your appointment at Thai Consulate in Dubai you will need to:

1. Go to the website where your appointment can be booked: http://dubai.thaivisareservation.com

2. Choose the day and one of time frames (9:00-10:15 or 10:30-11:30) for your visit. You can select the online queue appointment dates within the period of 15 days only.

3. Choose the type of visa you will be applying for and complete the online appointment form. You will need to provide these details:

• your title, first name, middle name (if any), family name
• nationality
• passport number and the date of expiry
• resident visa No. and the date of expiry (for non-UAE nationals)
• phone number and email address

4. You will get a verification email to the address given before. On the next step, you need to fill-in the verification code that can be found in the email.

5. On the next step you can download the application form for filling-in. 

6. The list of required documents will be reminded later.

7. On the “Appointment information” page the main details of your appointment will be displayed for your confirmation.

8. Once confirmed, the confirmation has to be printed out and brought to the consulate .

Step 2 – Filling-in Application Form

You must bring one Thailand visa application form with you. Handwritten application forms are not accepted at Thai Consulate in Dubai. You need to prepare all the required documents together with your visa application form. Full list of required document can be found earlier in this article. The list of the documents will also be presented to you when booking an appointment.

Step 3 – Application for Visa

Show up at the consulate on the scheduled time, queue up and present your documents to the officer once your turn comes. The officer will check your documents and might ask a couple of questions.

Pay the visa fee - 150 AED for Single Entry / 700 AED for Multiple Entry Visa (exact amount of money is needed as the consulate does not give any change). In case the visa is refused, the visa fees are not refundable.

You will get a receipt. Bring it with you when coming back to collect your passport.

Step 4 – Visa Processing

Time needed for visa processing is 1 working day (24 hours). It means that you can get your passport back the following day, unless the next day is on weekend or public holiday in Thailand / U.A.E.

Step 5 – Passport Collection

It takes only 1 working day to process a visa so you can get your passport back in the afternoon of the next working day. Passport can be collected Sunday to Thursday, from 14:30 to 15:30.
