The Mavericks
- Sold Out -
with support from Jarrod Dickenson
Presented by TEG Live Europe
Jarrod Dickenson: 7.50pm
Interval: 8.25pm
The Mavericks: 8.45pm
Finish: 10.45pm
Please note all timings are approximate and may be subject to change. The Mavericks, the eclectic rock and country group known for crisscrossing musical boundaries with abandon, has gone through three distinct phases since it was founded in Miami in 1989. An initial period of heady success marked by big hits and critical acclaim in the ‘90s. A long hiatus starting 2003 when the musicians each went their own way. And finally, a triumphant reunion in 2012 which held long enough for them to recently celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary.
Now, The Mavericks have ushered in the fourth phase of their evolution with the #1 Billboard debut of their first-ever, all Spanish album, En Español, released on the band’s own Mono Mundo label. Although all 12 tracks are in Spanish, as the title suggests, the collection represents a diversity of musical styles and cultural traditions, from tender boleros to brassy mariachi to reimagined Afro-Cuban classics. Seven of the tunes are familiar gems drawn from the vast Latin American songbook, while five are originals written or co-written by Malo.
Like the band’s entire body of music, this one album cannot be boxed into a single category. The songs are as diverse as Latin America itself, and as cohesive as the ideal of the American melting pot. To season this rich musical paella, The Mavericks add their signature country/rock/Tex-Mex flavors and a refreshing spontaneity to the mix. En Español flips the band’s usual fusion formula, which adds a striking assortment of genres – salsa, ska, norteño, mariachi, and much more – to its sturdy rock/country base. Now, the foundation is solidly Latin with streaks of irreverent rock and twangy guitars running through it, all branded with the unmistakable Mavericks style.

Tours from Glasgow
Tours from glasgow, scotland’s pioneering city.
Glasgow is Edinburgh's loud, colourful, tattoo-covered, music-loving, party-goer sibling. So who wouldn’t want to take a tour from Glasgow ? It's hard to believe these two are related, but it's the vitality of this city we love most. This is Scotland's cultural capital, a mad hub of trendy bars, inspiring art installations, moreish forward-thinking cuisine, and pulsating music venues. A city you’ll find difficult to get away from. But remember, if you’re taking a trip in Scotland, you just have to tour outside of Glasgow’s limits to experience the rest of our country where coos roam the Highlands , men in kilts play bagpipes, and history both fascinating and tragic seep into every nook and cranny.
Planning Your Tour from Glasgow
You might be surprised by how much you can do on a Rabbie's tour from Glasgow. Reach Tour the iconic Loch Ness by passing through mesmerising Glencoe. Explore castles with both royal connections and pop-culture significance. Hop on a ferry and explore some of Scotland's best islands . Our Glasgow small-group tours range from 1-3 days , giving you plenty to choose from.
Travel Responsibly from Glasgow
Scotland's culture and breathtaking locations areis something we're determined to help preserve. Protecting the places we love is one of our main missions at Rabbie’s through our responsible travel initiative . We donate, volunteer, travel by small mini-coach and do as much as we can to preserve trip locations for future generations to explore.
Did You Know?
- The Glasgow City Chambers are made up of more marble than the Vatican. - Part of Saint Valentine's skeleton is buried in a church in Glasgow. Forget Paris, this is the real City of Love. - Head to Victoria Park to see fossilised trees that date back 330 million years, twice as old as dinosaurs.
Don't Miss Out
- We know recommending a cemetery might seem bleak, but The Necropolis' 50,000 monuments are a surprisingly beautiful destination. - For the perfect combination of history and nature, take a wander around the People’s Palace and Winter Gardens. - Reminisce on your time in Glasgow over a whisky or pint in one of Glasgow's many distilleries and breweries.

Highlights of Scotland
This was my second G Adventures tour and it proved to be as enjoyable as the first one, which was the main reason my wife and I booked it. The small size of the tour group and the variety of people made it all the better. The tour offered a good balance between structured visits of major attractions and free time to explore on our own. I would not hesitate to recommend a G Adventures tour to anyone seeking a guided travel experience in the company of other like-minded travelers.
4 Day Islay Whisky Tour

A great thanks to Cameron who made the trip as personal as possible with multiple stories of different parts of Scotland and it's history and also about its flora and fauna.A great thanks to Rabbies for accepting the booking at the last moment . Tobermory was really beautiful and stay and was excellent. The second day to Staffa Island was really amazing and would visit again just to see puffins next time.

Best of Scotland (Summer, 7 Days)
The final day of our trip BHLD, we were asked to fill a questionnaire about our trip impressions. I glanced through it and I felt it was insufficient to express our feelings. I believe a 1-10 rating was not fair for this case. In my mind, if a travel director meets the complete itinerary, a 10 is a fair rating. In our case, we were lucky to have the most professional and dedicated tour director. Rose went beyond our expectations. She took note of every participant needs and wants. As a result, she made sure that they were met. One day for instance, Rose was up from 7 AM to at least 9 PM, to ensure everyone satisfaction and peace of mind. She also made sure to point all worthwhile aspect of our tour. We got away in love with a beautiful country. Not a single complaint from us or our other tour takers. Rose deserved a full 20 rating. I have no doubt she is the best travel director at Trafalgar. Wojciech is a real professional driver. We felt safe in even the narrowest roads I have ever seen. He kept the coach clean, the windows cleaner, and he always had a smile on his face. He also deserves a full 20 rating. Not everything in life is perfect. Most of the hotels we stayed in had more that one fault. The sales brochures stated that the hotels were first class. Sorry, they were not. I urge to make sure that future brochures indicate that the hotels you choose are among the best available choice given the locations where they are situated. Then, the complains will be more in line with expectations. Highlights of the trip were lunch with the Wood family, and the Highland farm experience. Overall we were very satisfied, but just wanted you to know what was exceptionally good, and not so good. Our aim in writing these comment where made to help you in keeping Trafalgar high standards. Thank you for a lovely time, German & Yolanda Acosta

Outlander Tour of Scotland
Our tour guide, Ryan, was outstanding! He immediately put us at ease with his friendly and personable manner. His knowledge of the complicated roads and history of the areas we visited gave us the safety we needed to deeply enjoy the beautiful landscapes and fascinating history Scotland has. Thank you for the perfect vacation!

What people love about Glasgow Tours
Excellent driver/tour guide in Garry. Very knowledgeabke
It was a good trip seeing a lot of Scotland and the tour guide was very good. However a few things to improve are: There were too many people in the group so didn't really interact with the rest of them and the language difference didn't help either as I didn't realise that most of them spoke Spanish so the guide had to say everything in 2 languages. There was confusion on the trip as in the main Itinerary, it only mentioned breakfast included but when you looked into individual days it said dinner included, so didn't match. I feel that at least 1 dinner would have been nice to help with interacting with the group. I was a bit disappointed that the distillery changed days instead of the 1st day as I would have liked a bit more time to see Edinburgh especially as it was nice that day. Also the day in Edinburgh shouldn't be on a Saturday as it was too busy. A few places I felt rushed like Fort William as we only had time to get out, see it a bit, have a hot drink and toilet and then go but to be honest there wasn't much there so could have gone anywhere really. It was nice to see the castles except it would have good if Edinburgh castle had been included, but also maybe see something else for a variety like a mine or cave, or we did pass a cable car and that would have been nice. But overall it was a nice trip seeing places around Scotland in the time.
