• The Electronic Visa (e-Visa) Application System was launched on 17 April 2013 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. This system allows visitors travelling to Türkiye to easily obtain their e-Visas online (www.evisa.gov.tr), in approximately three minutes.

It is possible to obtain e-Visa 7/24 at everywhere with internet connection. The applicants can obtain their visa after they fill in the necessary information concerning their identity, passport and travel dates and pay visa fee online.

• Please note that e-visa is only valid when the purpose of travel is tourism or commerce. For other purposes, such as work and study, visas are given by Turkish Embassies or Consulates.
• The term "official passports" covers diplomatic, service, special and official passports.

You are kindly advised to have a travel document/passport valid for at least 6 months as from the date of your arrival in Türkiye.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues efforts to strengthen the e-Visa system and to better enable foreign nationals to easily obtain their visas.

In this context,

- In addition to English, French, and Spanish; Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, German, Arabic and Chinese language options will be added to the e-Visa system.

- In addition to Visa and Master Card, payment is accepted from other commonly used credit cards and debit cards.

- Tour operators may apply for group e-Visas and make lump sum payments for them.

- Necessary arrangements will be made to allow foreign visitors to obtain e-Visas from authorized airline companies offices, including those companies’ offices in airports.

- Fees for e-Visas obtained via the e-Visa website (www.evisa.gov.tr) are lower than the fees for visas obtained upon arrival to Turkish airports. Information regarding visa fees can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Visa regime for truck drivers of a country may differ from the overall visa regime effective for citizens of that particular country. For further information, please contact the nearest Turkish mission.

Regardless of the visa regime applied towards the citizens of a country, the travel document holders of that country need to obtain visa from Turkish missions beforehand.

Foreigners who will shoot a documentary film conduct a research or an archeological excavation should get a special permission from the Turkish authorities in advance.

If you have a valid visa, you do not need a residence permit up to 90 days. On the other hand, foreigners who shall reside, work or study in Türkiye, should register themselves at the nearest local police department upon their arrival in Türkiye, regardless of the validity of their visa.

Information on Work Visa: To work in Türkiye, you must apply to the nearest Turkish mission to obtain work permit and visa. Your passport, visa application form and a letter from your employer are the necessary documents for your application. Other documents should be submitted to the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) by your employer within ten working days after your application.

You may find the list of those documents in the MLSS’s website (http://www.csgb.gov.tr). Applications are finalized by the MLSS within thirty days at the latest. Right after your arrival in Türkiye (before starting to work), you should be registered at the local police department within one month to obtain the necessary residence permit.

As of 1 January 2015, in accordance with the article 7.1b of “the Law on Foreigners and International Protection” no. 6458, foreigners wishing to enter Türkiye should carry a travel document (passport) with an expiration date at least 60 days beyond the “duration of stay” of their visa, e-Visa, visa exemption, or residence permit.

The citizens of the countries which are stated at the below link are exempted form this Article;

Example A: In order to enter Türkiye having a visa with 90 days “duration of stay”, foreigners should hold a travel document valid at least for an additional 60 days which totals to 150 days (90 days + 60 days) of validity at the time of entrance.

Example B: In order to enter Türkiye having a visa with 30 days “duration of stay”, foreigners should hold a travel document valid at least for an additional 60 days which totals to 90 days (30 days + 60 days) of validity at the time of entrance."

The following categories are exempted from this provision:

- Citizens of countries who are allowed to enter Türkiye with their national ID’s in accordance with “European Agreement on Regulations governing the Movement of Persons between Member States of the Council of Europe”,

Holders of diplomatic and official passports are also exempted from this Article.

Afghanistan: Ordinary, Special and Service passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. These passport holders with a valid Schengen members or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit may get their single entry e-Visas valid for one month e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr , provided that they meet certain conditions. Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Albania:  Official passport holders, who are appointed to the diplomatic, consular missions or representations of international organizations accredited in Türkiye, are exempted from visa for the period of their assignments. Official and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels with touristic purposes and transit from Türkiye, up to 90 days within six months starting from the first entry date.

Algeria:  Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holder Algerian citizens, under the age of 15 and above the age of 65 are exempted from visa up to 90 days within any 180 day period for their touristic visits. Ordinary passport holders between the age of 15 and 65 are required to have visa. Ordinary passport holder Algerian citiziens between the ages of 15-18 and 35-65 with a valid Schengen members or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit may get their one month period single entry e-Visas via the website www.evisa.gov.tr.  www.evisa.gov.tr . 

Andorra: Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Angola: Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Diplomatic and service passport holder citizens of Angola are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

Antigua-Barbuda:  Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holders can obtain three month-multiple entry e-Visas via the website www.evisa.gov.tr. They can also get their visas from Turkish diplomatic representations abroad or they can obtain their three month-multiple entry visas upon their arrival to Türkiye at the ports of entry.

Argentina:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Armenia:  Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holders can obtain one-month multiple entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr .

Australia:  Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holders can obtain three month-multiple entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr .

Austria:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Azerbaijan:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

Bahamas:  Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. They can obtain three month multiple e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr . Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Bahrain:  Official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Official passport holder Bahraini citizens may obtain visas for up to 15 days at border crossings. Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Bangladesh:  Bangladeshi nationals holding diplomatic and official/service passport are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa. These passport holders with a valid Schengen members or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit may get their single entry e-Visas valid for one month e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr , provided that they meet certain conditions.

Barbados:  Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. They can obtain three month multiple entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr . Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travel up to 90 days.

Belarus:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 30 days. Total period of stay should be no longer than 90 days within 1 year.

Belgium:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Belize:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Benin : Ordinary, special and service passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Bhutan : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holders can get their 15 day period visas from Turkish diplomatic representations abroad.

Bolivia : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Bosnia-Herzegovina:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days.

Botswana : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Brazil : Official and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Brunei : Diplomatic, Official and Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa to enter into and transit through and stay in Türkiye for a period not exceeding 30 days.

Bulgaria : Identity card and ordinary passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Diplomatic and service passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Burkina Faso : Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Official/service and ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Burundi : Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa requirement for a period not exceeding 90 days within any 180 days period. Special, service and ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter into Türkiye.

Cambodia : Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 30 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Cameroon : Official passport (Diplomatic, Service and Special) holders and members of official delegations are exempted from visa requirements to enter into, exit from, transit through and stay temporarily in Türkiye for a maximum period of 90 days, reckoned from the first entry date. Official passport (Diplomatic, Service and Special) holders, who are not members of official delegations, are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Canada : Official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Cape Verde: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holder Cape Verde citizens with a valid Schengen members or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit, provided that certain conditions are fulfilled, may obtain 30-day single-entry e-visas via the website www.evisa.gov.tr .

Central African Republic: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Chad : Diplomatic and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Chile : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

People's Republic of China:  Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa. These passport holders can obtain their 30 days single entry e-Visas via the web site  www.evisa.gov.tr .

Colombia : Colombian nationals holding diplomatic, official and ordinary passport are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Comoros : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Costa Rika:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Cote d’Ivoire: Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Croatia :Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Cuba : Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Czech Republic:  Official and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Democratic Republic of Congo:  Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days within any 180 days period. Ordinary and service passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Denmark : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Djibouti : Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 6 months starting from the first entry date. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Dominica : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Dominican Republic:  Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holders can obtain three month-multiple entry e-Visas via the website www.evisa.gov.tr. They can also get their visas from Turkish diplomatic representations abroad or they can obtain their three month-multiple entry visas upon their arrival to Türkiye at the ports of entry.

East Timor:  Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

East Timor citizens may get their 30 days single entry e-Visas via the web site  www.evisa.gov.tr .

Ecuador : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Egypt : Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holders may obtain their 30-day single-entry e-Visas via www.evisa.gov.tr , provided that they have a valid Schengen or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit and that they travel to Türkiye with Turkish Airlines or Egypt Air.

Besides, those ordinary passport holders who are under 20 or over 45 years old may get their 30-day single-entry e-Visas via the website www.evisa.gov.tr .

El Salvador:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Equatorial Guinea: Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holder Equatorial Guinean citizens with a valid Schengen members or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit, provided that certain conditions are fulfilled, may obtain 30-day single-entry e-visas via the website www.evisa.gov.tr. Diplomatic, official and service passport holder citizens of Equatorial Guinea are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

Eritrea : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Estonia : Official and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 6 months starting from the first entry date.

Eswatini : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Ethiopia : Ethiopian nationals holding diplomatic passport are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Official/service and ordinary passport holders are required to have visa.

Fiji : Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. These passport holders may obtain their one-month single-entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr . They can also get their 90-day multiple-entry visas from Turkish missions.

Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Finland : Official and Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days starting from the first entry date.

France : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Gabon : Ordinary passport holder citizens of Gabon are required to obtain visa to enter Türkiye. Diplomatic, service and official passport holder citizens of Gabon are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

Gambia : Ordinary, special and service passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Georgia : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Germany : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Ghana : Diplomatic passport holders are exempt from visa for their travel to Türkiye up to 90 days within 180 days. Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Greece : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Grenada : Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. They can obtain three month multiple entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr . Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Guatemala : Official and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Guinea : Guinean nationals holding diplomatic passport are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Official/service and ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Guinea-Bissau: Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Diplomatic and official passport holder citizens of Guinea-Bissau are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

Guyana : Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days.

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye and they can get their 15 day period visas from Turkish diplomatic representations abroad.

Greek Cypriot Administration:  Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Both official and ordinary passport holders may obtain their 30-day single-entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr .

Haiti : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Honduras:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of PRC:  Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the PRC: Ordinary and official “Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China ( SAR ) Passport” holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Hong Kong citizens who have "British National Overseas Passport" are subject to visa and they can obtain their three month period multiple entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr  Holders of "Document of Identity for Visa Purposes-Hong Kong (D.I)" must get their visas from the Turkish diplomatic or consular missions abroad.

Hungary : Official and Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days reckoned from the date of first entry.

Iceland : Ordinary and Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

India : Diplomatic passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels to Türkiye up to 90 days. Ordinary, Special and Service passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary, Special and Service passport holders with a valid Schengen members or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit may get their single entry e-Visas valid for one month via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr , provided that they meet certain conditions.

Indonesia : Ordinary passport holders are exempt from visa up to 30 days for each entry provided that they do not exceed 90 days in any 180 day period. Indonesian nationals holding diplomatic and official/service passport are exempted from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Iran : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Iraq : Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holders with a valid Schengen members or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit may get their single entry e-Visas valid for one month e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr , provided that they meet certain conditions.

Ireland : Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Israel : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Italy : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Jamaica : Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. They can obtain three month multiple entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr . Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Japan : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Jordan : Diplomatic, official and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels with touristic purposes and transit to/from Türkiye up to 90 days within six months starting from the first entry date. Diplomatic and official passport holders, who are appointed to the diplomatic, consular missions or representations of international organizations accredited in Türkiye, are exempted from visa for the period of their assignments. Truck and bus drivers and co-drivers, crew members of civil airplanes, trains and ships, engaged in international transport of goods and passengers, are exempted from visa for their travels and transit to/from Türkiye, up to 90 days within six months, starting from the first entry date.

Kazakhstan : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

Kenya : Citizens of Kenya holding diplomatic, official, service and special passport are exempted from visa for their travels and transit to/from Türkiye up to 90 days within 180 days, starting from the first entry date. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Kiribati : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Kosovo : Citizens of Kosova holding diplomatic, official and ordinary passport are exempted from visa for their travels with touristic purposes and transit to/from Türkiye up to 90 days within six months, starting from the first entry date.

Kuwait : Official and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within last 180 days.

Kyrgyzstan : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Laos : Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days within any 180 days period. Ordinary and other types of official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Latvia : Official and Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days.

Lebanon : Official and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels with touristic purposes and transit to/from Türkiye up to 90 days within six months, starting from the first entry date. Diplomatic and official passport holders, who are appointed to the diplomatic, consular missions or representations of international organizations accredited in Türkiye, are exempted from visa for the period of their assignments. Ordinary passport holder Libyan citizens, under the age of 16 and above the age of 45 are exempted from visa up to 90 days within any 180 day period for their touristic visits. Ordinary passport holders between the age of 16 and 45 are required to have visa. Ordinary passport holders between those ages with a valid Schengen members or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit may get their one month period single entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr . 

Liechtenstein : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Lithuania : Official and Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days starting from the first entry date.

Luxemburg : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Macao Special Administration:  Ordinary and official Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Madagascar : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Malawi : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Malaysia : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Maldives : Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 30 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. They can obtain three month multiple entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr .

Mali : Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Official/service and ordinary passport holders are required to have visa.

Malta : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Marshall Islands:  Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Mauritania : Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Mauritius : Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. They can obtain one month multiple entry e-Visas via the website www.evisa.gov.tr or three month period multi entry visas from Turkish diplomatic representations abroad. 

Mexico : Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary and service/official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Holders of such passports may get their 90-day multiple-entry visas from Turkish missions abroad or obtain their 30-day single-entry e-visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr .

Micronesia : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Moldova : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days starting from the date of first entry.

Monaco : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Mongolia : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa up to 30 days for their touristic visits to Türkiye.

Montenegro : Official and Ordinary passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 6 months starting from the first entry date.

Morocco : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Mozambique : Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter into Türkiye.

Diplomatic and service passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days starting from the date of first entry on condition that their passport has at least 6 months validity.

Myanmar (Burma):  Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Namibia : Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

New Zealand:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Nicaragua : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Niger : Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Diplomatic and service passport holder citizens of Niger are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

Nigeria : Ordinary, official/service passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

North Korea (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

North Macedonia : North Macedonian nationals holding diplomatic, service and ordinary passport are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Northern Mariana Islands:  Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Norway : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

On the other hand, Norwegian citizens who will travel to Türkiye from Norway for touristic purposes are exempt from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period, by using their national identity cards with chips instead of their passports until 31 December 2022 .

Oman : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Pakistan : Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels to Türkiye up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holders with a valid Schengen, USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit may get their one month single entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr .

Palau Republic:  Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Palestine : Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Ordinary passport holder Palestine citizens with a valid Schengen members or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit, provided that certain conditions are fulfilled, may obtain 30-day single-entry e-visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr  . Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa for their official or touristic visits up to 90 days in any 180 day period. Holders of other types of official passports are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Panama : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days within 180 days starting from the first entry date.

Papua New Guinea : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Paraguay : Official and Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 6 months starting from the first entry date.

Peru : Official and Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days.

Philippines : Nationals of the Philippines holding diplomatic and official/service passport are exempted from visa for their travels up to 30 days.

Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa. Holders of such passports may obtain their 30-day single-entry e-visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr , provided that they have a valid Schengen members or USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit.

Poland : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Portugal : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Qatar : Diplomatic, service, special and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels with touristic purposes and transit to/from Türkiye up to 90 days within six months, starting from the first entry date.

Republic of Congo : Congolese nationals holding diplomatic passport are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Official/service and ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Romania : Official and ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels with touristic purposes up to 90 days within 180 days starting from the first entry date.

Russian Federation:  Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their touristic and business travels up to 60 days. Service passport holders are exempted from visa up to 30 days on condition that not to exceed 90 days within any 180 days period. Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Rwanda : Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Diplomatic and service passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

St. Christopher (St. Kitts) & Nevis : Nationals of St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis holding diplomatic, official/service and ordinary passport are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

St Lucia : Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. They can obtain three month multiple entry e-Visas via the website  www.evisa.gov.tr .

St Vincent and the Grenadines : Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days. Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye and can obtain three month-multiple entry e-Visas via the website www.evisa.gov.tr. They can also get their visas from Turkish diplomatic representations abroad or they can obtain their three month-multiple entry visas upon their arrival to Türkiye at the ports of entry.

San Marino:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Sao Tome and Principe : Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye.

Saudi Arabia:  Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

Serbia : Diplomatic, official and ordinary passport holders and holders of travel document are exempted from visa for their travels with touristic purposes and transit to/from Türkiye up to 90 days within six months, starting from the first entry date. Diplomatic and official passport holders, who are appointed to the diplomatic, consular missions or representations of international organizations accredited in Türkiye, are exempted from visa for the period of their assignments. Truck and bus drivers and co-drivers, crew members of civil airplanes, trains and ships, engaged in international transport of goods and passengers, are exempted from visa for their travels and transit to/from Türkiye, up to 90 days within six months, starting from the first entry date.

Seychelles : Seychelles nationals holding diplomatic, official or ordinary passports are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

Sierra Leone : Ordinary passport holders are required to have visa to enter Türkiye. Diplomatic and service passport holder citizens of Sierra Leone are exempted from visa up to 90 days in any 180 day period.

Singapore : Ordinary and official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90 days.

Slovakia : Ordinary passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels to Türkiye with touristic purposes up to 90 days within 180 days, starting from the first entry date. Official passport holders are exempt from visa for their travels up to 90 days within 180 days, starting from the first entry date.

Slovenia : Ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels to Türkiye with touristic purposes up to 90 days within 180 days, starting from the first entry date. Official passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels to Türkiye up to 90 days within six months.

New application centre for turkey visa opens in doha.

The new centre, located at 301 Jaidah Square, Airport Road, was inaugurated by Turkish ambassador Ahmet Demirok at a ceremony held on November 3. The Turkish embassy had awarded the contract to provide visa processing services in Qatar to VFS Global on October 6. The centre has been launched in partnership with Mannai Trading Co. With a high number of submission counters and longer operating hours, the centre is “fully equipped with state-of-the-art security systems and facilities to ensure a convenient experience for applications”, according to a press statement. The centre will help make the visa procedure “faster and smoother”, the statement notes, and its features include a convenient and central location; availability of photocopy, photo-booth and printing services at the location; a dedicated security control room for round-the-clock monitoring, professional staff with local language capability to handle queries and applications, well-appointed centre for the enhanced comfort of applicants, automated queue governance for smooth flow of applicants, dedicated country-specific websites for easy access to information - including visa categories, requirements, checklist and applicable fees, and secured handling of passports, documents and personal information. The business hours are from 9am to 5pm, Sunday to Thursday. The submission timings are from 9am to 4pm, Sunday to Thursday (except on holidays as declared by the embassy), while passport collection will be from 4pm to 5pm, Sunday to Thursday (except on holidays as declared by the embassy). Speaking about the launch, Demirok said: “Since last year, Qataris don’t need visa to Turkey, but there are many expatriates who would like to visit Turkey. So, there has been a huge demand that our capacity does not allow us to provide easy application. That’s why we would like to outsource visa application. I believe that our partner VFS Global, with its professionalism, will provide good-quality service to applicants.” Srinarayan Sankaran, COO – Middle East at VFS Global, added: “We are truly privileged to partner with the embassy of Turkey and believe this centre will well serve the needs of travellers from Qatar who are keen to visit this beautiful country.”

How to apply for Turkey tourist visa in Qatar

Planning to travel to Turkey (Türkiye) soon from Qatar? To help you achieve your travel plans, here’s a guide on how to apply for Turkey Tourist Visa in Qatar for Filipinos and other nationalities!

As one of the transcontinental countries where East meets West, Turkey (Türkiye) is also one of the most popular destinations in the world , especially its largest city Istanbul. As such, a lot of expats in the Middle East especially in Gulf countries (like Qatar) include it on their travel lists.

Do I need a tourist visa to visit Turkey (Türkiye)?

Do Qatar residents need a tourist visa for Turkey?

For the purposes of tourism, Turkey issues the regular sticker visa as well as e-visa. You can check here if you want to know if your country of origin needs a tourist visa or e-visa to enter Turkey . Some nationalities are also allowed to enter Turkey just with their national I.D .

Filipinos can get 30 days single entry visa via e-visa or sticker visa through the Turkish Embassy.

Documents required for Turkey tourist visa applicants from Qatar

Note: We processed our visa application with VFS Global in 2017 , the same office where Mosaic Visa is now.

Here is the list of requirements that you must have before setting an appointment for your Turkey Tourist Visa:

Important: All documents must have an English version

• Passport (valid for at least 6 months upon arrival in Turkey and have a minimum of 2 blank pages available
• Copy of passport’s data page (A4 size)
• Previously obtained Turkey, Schengen, UK, USA visa copies (if any)
• Valid residence permit in Qatar and its copy (A4 size)
• 2 biometric recent photo (50 x 60 mm) and white background with a frontal view of the face. The photo should have been no older than 6 months)
• Original employment letter (the letter should not be older than 1 month)
• Financial status document: Bank account statements for at least 3 months showing salary transfer with adequate funds available (details below)
• Hotel reservation or proof of accommodation in Turkey (covering the intended days in Turkey)
• Round trip flight reservation
• Travel medical insurance
• Signed letter explaining the purpose of travel (written in English or Turkish)
• Visa application form
• If necessary, birth certificate or marriage certificate (Translated to English or Turkish)
• If previously resided in Turkey, residence document
• Documents of properties in Qatar belonging to person (title deed, license, etc) – if any
• Documents of properties in Turkey belonging to person (title deed, license, etc) – if any
• Bank account statements in Turkey – if any
• If dual citizen, the relevant document
• For minors, if traveling unaccompanied by parents, consent letter signed by both parents. Both parents should come and submit the application of the minor applicant

Visa application form should be filled and signed.

Valid residence permit should be valid for at least 3 months from the date of submission

Sponsor letter (Employment Letter) should mention salary, position, duration of employment, duration of vacation leave, documentation proving the applicant will return to Qatar, contact details, and official seal and signature.

Letter of invitation is not needed if a hotel reservation is available.

Make sure to submit a printed copy of your hotel and flight reservations .

Financial status document pertains to your bank certificate (please see details below how to get a bank certificate). Bank account statements (3 months) should show salary transfer with adequate funds available (QR 10,000) and is originally stamped and signed by the bank). It should not be older than 10 days.

Round trip flight reservation: It’s highly recommended not to buy flight ticket before the visa is granted. Reservation/booking is acceptable.

Valid travel health/medical insurance should cover the entire period of intended stay in Turkey and the minimum coverage shall be EUR 30,000 and 15 days. It should include repatriation expenses. For the travel cards, travel policy will be required. If applying for multiple, insurance must be valid for at least 1 year.

Photo specifications for Turkey (Türkiye) Visa

Your photograph should be 50×60 mm with white background and not older than 6 months. The face should be a minimum of 31 mm and a maximum of 36 mm. The photograph should show your face clearly with a neutral expression and without the hair tucked behind the ear.

You can have your photo taken at any of the photography studios in the country. Just let them know of the photo requirements beforehand. Usually, there are photo studios or digital print shops in malls or supermarkets.

Hotel and flight reservations

Instead of just reserving flights, we already booked our flights via Pegasus Airlines months before our trip. You can, however, present a flight reservation instead of confirmed flights.

Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines also fly direct from Doha to Istanbul.

As for the hotel reservation, we booked our hotels in Istanbul and Cappadocia , via Booking.com.

How to get a Bank Certificate in Qatar

Just proceed to your local bank and request a bank certificate for 3 months. You only need to present your QID and Debit Card. The payment will be automatically deducted from your debit account. One month is 10 QAR (Commercial Bank rate). After printing the bank certificate (signed & stamped), you’re good to go.

Take note that the bank certificate I requested was only for my current/savings account.

Where to get valid health insurance

There are a lot of companies in Qatar where you can get your travel insurance, like AXA or QIC. Mosaic Visa also offers travel health insurance services inside their office, which is guaranteed by the Turkish Ministry of Health.

How much are the fees for Turkey tourist visa application?

How much is a tourist visa to Turkey? Here are Mosaic Visa’s Fees (as of April 2023) :

According to Mosaic Visa, please refrain from bringing the following items during your appointment date:

Due to the security reasons, the following items are restricted to be brought into or stored in the Application Center:

• Firearms, explosives
• Sharp objects
• Flammable materials
• Battery-operated or electronic devices (laptops, cameras, etc)
• Sealed envelopes or packages
• All bags such as travel bags, backpack, briefcase, luggage, leather / jute / textile bags and zippered document holders, etc. Only permitted is the plastic file which contains documents related to your application.

Turkey Tourist Visa Application in Qatar

You can submit your Turkey tourist sticker visa requirements at your chosen Turkey Embassy-approved visa center. According to Mosaic Visa, visa applications must be made 90 days before travel .

After completing all the required documents set an appointment with a Turkey visa application center. Applicants must be present during submission as the Turkey visa requires fingerprint enrollment (biometric).

Payment: Don’t forget to bring cash to pay for the visa and service fees.

On the day of your appointment, make sure to get there at least 15 minutes in advance. After submitting the complete documents and paying for the visa and service fees, we were given the receipt with the Reference number (code). The officer informed us that the Turkey tourist visa  processing time is approximately 7 – 10 working days (although in an earlier email 15 working days was the indicated processing time, depending on the Turkish embassy).

Note: We got our visa in 6 days. I heard that during peak months, it can take up to 20 days of processing time.

How to Apply for Turkey (Türkiye) e-Visa (online Visa)

Getting an e-visa is so fast and easy as per the Turkey MFA, you can finish it within 3 minutes as long as you have your valid travel document (passport) and valid credit or debit card.

As for Filipinos, we can only apply for the 30-day single-entry e-visa if you have the following valid visa or residence permit already: Schengen, USA, Ireland, or the UK. Visa Fee is 20 USD. Payment options for Turkey e-visa application: Mastercard, VISA, or UnionPay credit card.

Applicant must also prove that a return ticket, hotel reservation, and a minimum of 50 USD per day are available.

Do take note that when filling up your details, that everything matches on your passport, or else you would have to re-apply and pay again for another e-visa!

Hey Darlene, The last news I have heard is that US and Turkey have suspended their visa services with each other due to some diplomatic incident last October. So I am not sure whether Turkey stilm honors E Visa for US Visa holders. So better for the readers to email the consulate.

Yup, I heard the news. E-visa services for US citizens are suspended. But no news from the Turkey government whether they are not honoring US Visa as a prerequisite to getting an e-visa for other nationalities. I am always on the lookout for updates, though.

How to apply Tourist Visa for Turkey in Qatar?

Türkiye, or the Republic of Turkey, is a country that is primarily situated in Anatolia in Western Asia and has a tiny presence in the Balkans in Southeast Europe. Turkey’s tourism industry is mostly focused on the country’s numerous historical sites and the beach resorts that line its Aegean and Mediterranean Sea coasts. In addition, Turkey has gained popularity as a spa, wellness, and cultural getaway. Turkey was the sixth-most popular tourist destination in the world in 2019 when it received almost 51 million foreign visitors. Since my nationality requires that I receive one in order to enter the country, I opted to apply for a Turkish tourist visa last November 2021. The approval I received in just two days was a lucky break! It is essential to plan and prepare your application in advance because during busy times, such as the Eid holidays, the approval may take longer than 30 days. Related Blogpost: Best Places to Visit in Turkey Before I go on to explain my experience with processing a tourist visa for Turkey in Qatar, I would advise you to see if you are exempt from needing a visa by clicking here . There are two ways on how to apply for a Turkish Tourist Visa in Qatar. You can do it online by visiting their website at https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/apply/ to get E-VISA or by submitting your documents through an authorized agency to apply for visa sticker.

• E-VISA In order to obtain an e-visa, you must meet the following requirements:   1. Your passport covers the period that you will be staying in Turkey. 2. You can prove that you hold a return ticket, hotel reservation and at least $50 per each day of your stay. 3. You are travelling for the purposes of tourism or business. You have a valid Supporting Document (Valid visa OR valid residence permit from one of the Schengen Countries, USA, UK or Ireland). E-visas are not accepted as supporting documents. The e-visa fee is USD 20 for a single entry.
• VISA STICKER If you do not meet any of the above requirements and proceed with your application, your e-visa will be invalid. However, you still have the option to apply manually by submitting your application through an authorized visa agency in Qatar. Visa application must be submitted 30 days before the travel date. The following are the 2 agencies that you can choose to submit your visa application:

– If the applicant previously resided in Turkey, a relevant residence document or work permit – If the applicant previously resided in a country other than Turkey, relevant residence document. – If any, previously received Turkey visa. – If any, current or previously received Schengen / USA / UK visa, – Applicants with dual citizenship are required to submit documents related to 2nd citizenship. – If you have someone who will company your travel, a copy of his/her valid visa, and flight reservation must be submitted. Note : All documents that are presented must be up to date and fully complete as per the list. The Turkish Embassy of Qatar reserves the right to request additional documentation where needed. Completing all the required documentation does not guarantee approval for a visa and a refund is not possible under any circumstances. If applicants are applying as a family or group all the above-mentioned documentation needs to be submitted individually.

The Consulate General of The State of Qatar in

Istanbul - republic of turkey, consular services, citizen services, issuance of passports.

Qatari citizens abroad can apply for new passport in case of Passport loss or expiry.

Beneficiaries of this service :

Citizens sent for treatment or study abroad, as for nationals residing outside the State, prior consent is required.

Service Procedures:

The expired or damaged passport will be sent by official post of the consular administration, then the mission receives new passport with old passport and hand them over to the citizen.

Terms and requirements:

• Fill a form for a new passport and sign it by the concerned person, or their legal guardian if they were underage, the form should be stamped by the mission and signed from an executive consular.
• Attach the original passport.
• Attach (2) personal photos with grey background, photo size should be ( 4.8X 3.5 ).

Service fees:

(100) QR for expired passports

(400) QR for damaged/lost passports

Issuance of passage permits to return to Qatar

A passage permit  can be issued to Qatari citizens to return to Qatar if they lost their passports.

            Beneficiaries of this service:

            Qatari citizens abroad.

            Service Procedures:

• The Qatari mission abroad addresses the department of nationality and passports in the Ministry of Interior, after receiving the reply, a passage permit will be issued with an approval reference.
• Passage permits are valid for three months from the date of issuance.
• Passage permits are valid for only one entry to the State of Qatar only.

            Terms and requirements:

• Register the loss of passport at the nearest police station abroad.
• Copy of the passport or identity card showing the national number.
• (2) Personal photos.

Issuance of passage permits for newly- born babies.

A passage permit for newly- born Qatari babies abroad.

Beneficiaries of this service:

            Qatari citizen’s newly-born babies.

• Passage permits are valid for only one entry and to the State of Qatar only.
• Copy of the passport or identity card of the parents showing the ID number.
• Copy of the birth certificate attested by the official authorities and by the Mission.

Issuance of official authorization.

The mission of the State of Qatar can issue a general or private authorization.

  Beneficiaries of the service:

            Qatari citizens living abroad permanently or temporarily.

• Requires the citizen to attend personally to the consular official.
• Print the information of the authorization on mission’s headed-paper.
• An authorization application is to be submitted to the Head of Mission after ensuring the validity of the information and that the applicant is in a normal state of mind.
• Elderly people and persons with special needs are exempted from appearing before the mission, instead the mission itself will visit them to complete procedures.
• A copy of the passport or identity card showing the their numbers should be attached with the application.

 (20) Qatari Riyals.

Issuance of “to whom it may concern” certificate.

This certificate  can be issued to Qatari citizens upon request.

            Beneficiaries of the service:

Qatari citizens abroad, travelling for study or medical  treatment or other purposes. 

• The Qatari citizen fills an application requesting the issuance of such certificate , addressed to the Head of Mission stating the reasons for residing outside the country.

            Terms and requirements::

• A copy of the passport or identity card should be attached with the application.
• Provide a prove for residing outside the country, in case of travelling for medical treatment or study.

(20) Qatari riyals

Transport of dead body.

Transporting dead bodies of Qatari citizens back to the State of Qatar.

Deceased Qatari citizens outside the State of Qatar.

• Relative of the deceased should notify the mission of the State of Qatar on the death of the citizen.
• The mission will take necessary actions to transport the body to the State of Qatar.
• Original passport and validated documents relating to his death should be submitted to the mission.
• Notify the Department of Consular Affairs about the Date and time of sending the body to make arrangement with the airport.

Terms and requirements::

• The mission is to send by mail documents related to the deceased consisting of:
• A copy of the passport.
• A copy of the death certificate.
• A copy of the post-mortem report (and any other documents).

Official Visa Service

Official delegations. 

Service Description:

The Service is to provide an official visa for official delegations, except for those  exempted from visas, to meet with officials from the Amiri Diwan, the ministry of foreign affairs, and officials from ministries, governmental authorities and institutions, or to attend conferences held by ministries, authorities or institutions 

• Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
• Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
• Two photos of the applicant.
• The visa is issued for all nationalities within (24) hours of data entry in the automated system.
• The visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
• The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of one month from the date of entry.
• This visa can be extended for a similar period for multiple times.

Business visa

Businessmen and known commercial figures. 

The Service is to provide a business visa for businessmen and known commercial figures, to visit Qatar to improve investment relations between their countries and the State of Qatar. 

• Businessmen should provide the mission with evidence proving that they are businessmen, unless they were known commercial figures.
• This visa can be extended for a similar period ( for maximum three months).

Tourists. 

The service is to provide a visit visa for tourists, to visit Qatar and explore its monuments of historic, commercial, architectural and cultural value . 

• Applicants should provide a bank statement for the previous three months, showing a minimum balance of 5,000 QR, financially capable applicants known by the mission, are exempted from this condition.
• It is recommended to have a hotel reservation in the state of Qatar in a four or five star hotel.
• This visa cannot be extended.

GCC Resident Visit Visa

GCC residents. 

The Service is to provide GCC residents with approved professions a visit visa to enter Qatar. 

• Applicants should provide a GCC residentship valid for six months ( three months minimum) .
• The visa is issued for all nationalities immediately after data entry in the automated system.
• This visa can be extended for a period of three months.

Entry visa for companions of GCC Nationals

Companions of GCC citizens such as maids, drivers and baby-sitters. 

The Service is to provide an entry visa for the companions of GCC citizens to visit the country with their sponsors.

• Applicants should provide a GCC residentship valid for six months (three months minimum) for the companions of GCC citizens such as maids, drivers and baby-sitters (under the sponsorship of the gulf citizen) .
• This visa can be extended for a similar period (three months maximum).

Transit Visa

Travelers who plan to stop over in Qatar  in their way for  a third destination. 

Travelers who plan to stop over in Qatar in their way for a third destination, the visa is valid for (2) days.

• This Visa doesn’t apply for travelers passing through Qatar, these passing - through travelers don’t require a visa, and will be allowed to enter the country if their transit time is more than six hours, with a commitment from the airlines company.
• The visa is valid for (1) one month from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
• The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of (2) two days from the date of entry.

Joint Tourist Visa – for visiting Qatar and Oman

Residents of the 33 approved countries. 

The Service is to provide residents of the 33 approved countries with an entry visa to visit Qatar first and then visit Oman.

• The visa is issued for residents of the 33 approved countries immediately after data entry in the automated system.
• The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of (1) one month from the date of entry.

All Nationalities. 

This service enables all nationalities (except GCC citizens) to enter the State of Qatar.

• The visa is issued for all nationalities (except GCC citizens).
• The visa is valid for (3) three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
• This visa can be extended for a similar period (six months maximum).

Re-issuing a Visa

This service enables individuals who previously obtained an electronic visa through the General Directorate of Borders, Passports and Expatriates Affairs to be given  a new visa to enter the country.

• Some individuals who previously got an electronic visa through the General Directorate of Borders, Passports and Expatriates Affairs might have to visit Qatari Embassies or consulates abroad to stamp the visa on their passports
• Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
• Re-issuance of official visa is exempted.

Attestation

Attestation of commercial documents.

Citizens, Expats, Business, investors and visitors.

The  service aims to provide a legal approval of the commercial documents to be used in and outside Qatar, documents such as:

• Country of origin.
• Bill of lading (Manifesto).
• Commercial contracts.

The Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or one of its branches (five branches at present and will be  eight branches at the beginning of next year) ratify the stamp or Signature of the chamber of commerce or any other ministry or authority approved by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs .

General instructions:.

• The document sent for attestation must include a group of stamps and signatures ending with a stamp and signature approved by Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• The authorities of the Government of the State of Qatar are responsible for ratification of documents issued by them, as well as copies of those documents.
• Qatar chamber of commerce approves stamps and signatures of some translation offices.
• If the information on an attested document or any of its signatures or stamps, turns out to be incorrect, the attestation will be considered void and null, in which case the department of consular affairs will reserve the right to file claims to the concerned authorities in Qatar.

 Commercial Documents attestation fees:

Civil documents.

Citizens and Expatriates

Service description :

It is a service that aims to impart  legal status on civil documents for use inside and outside the State of Qatar, including the following letters:

• Letters issued by the government to its employees, whether they are Qataris or expatriates.
• Letters issued by the institutions under the supervision of government authorities and state departments to citizens and expatriates.
• Letters issued by accredited diplomatic missions of the State of Qatar.
• Letters issued by citizens and attested from the Ministry of Justice , the Supreme Judiciary Council, or the Ministry of Interior.
• Letters of definition, Disclaimer letter and NOC issued to residents from their employer companies that are members of Qatar chamber of commerce, the Ministry of Labor, or the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
• Expatriates employment contracts or partnership contracts and all documents related to companies and institutions.

The Department of Consular Affairs  at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or one of its branches (five branches at present and will be eight branches at the beginning of next year) ratify the stamp or Signature of the chamber of commerce or any other ministry or authority approved by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs .

• The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its affiliates shall not be responsible for the contents of the document. However, they 'll refuse to ratify any document that its content proves to be contrary to the regulations of the State of Qatar.

Personal Documents

Citizens and expatriates .

It is a service that aims to impart  legal status on  personal documents for use inside and outside the State of Qatar, including the  following documents:

• Birth and death certificates (citizens and expatriates)
• Copies of Passports and Identity Cards (citizens and expatriates)
• Free of precedents certificate (citizens).
• Free of precedents certificate (expatriates). 
• All documents relating to individuals.

The Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or one of its branches (five branches at present and will be eight branches at the beginning of next year) ratify the stamp or Signature of the chamber of commerce or any other ministry or authority approved by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs .

• The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its affiliates are not responsible for the contents of the document. However, they 'll refuse to ratify any document that its content is proved to be contrary to the regulations of the State of Qatar.

Judicial Documents

• The document applied for attestation must include a group of stamps and signatures ending with a stamp and signature approved by Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its affiliates are not responsible for the contents of the document. However, they 'll refuse to ratify any document that its content proves to be contrary to the regulations of the State of Qatar.

Educational documents

Citizens, expatriates  and visitors. .

It is a service that aims to impart legal status on  Educational documents for use inside and outside the State of Qatar,  such as the following:

• Education certificates issued by Qatar University.
• Education certificates issued by foreign Universities in Qatar, and approved by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
• Education certificates issued by Qatari schools and attested by the supreme educational council.
• Education certificates issued by foreign schools in Qatar and attested by the supreme educational council.
• Diplomas issued by schools or institutes operating in Qatar, attested by the supreme educational council or any other government institutes.
• Educational and medical certificates issued outside the State of Qatar and ratified by Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign affairs or any of its subsidiaries.

The Department of Consular Affairs  at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or any of its branches (five branches at present and will be eight branches at the beginning of next year) ratify the stamp or Signature of the chamber of commerce or any other ministry or authority approved by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs .

Medical documents

It is a service that aims to impart legal status to medical documents for use inside and outside the State of Qatar such as the following letters:

• Medical documents issued by hospitals or health centers under the supervision of the supreme council of health.
• Medical documents issued outside Qatar and attested by the supreme council of health, Ministry of Foreign, and Qatar’s mission in the country of issuance, or the country’s mission in Qatar.

The Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or one of its branches (five branches at present and  will be eight branches at the beginning of the next year) ratify the stamp or Signature of the chamber of commerce or any other ministry or authority approved by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs .

• The authorities of the Government of the State of Qatar are responsible for ratification of documents issued by themselves, as well as copies of those documents.

Other documents

Foreigners in qatar, issuance of “to whom it may concern” certificate to be used for a driver’s license application..

Qatar’s Diplomatic and Consulate missions abroad receive applications of concern to previous residents who left Qatar permanently, through coordination with the directorate of consular affairs.

Previous residents who left Qatar permanently. 

Qatar’s Diplomatic and Consulate missions abroad will send the application to the directorate of consular affairs, which in turn 'll send it to the concerned department (Traffic department under Ministry of interior), and sends the reply to the mission after receiving it.

• Send a clear copy of the driving license to the directorate of consular affairs

Validation of educational certificates

An application to validate educational certificates issued in Qatar to residents who graduated from schools or universities of Qatar, in order to use these certificates for studies or work in other countries .

Qatar’s Diplomatic and Consulate missions abroad will send the application to the directorate of consular affairs, which in turn 'll send it to the concerned department (supreme educational council or the concerned university), and sends the reply to the mission after receiving it.

• Copy of the educational certificate

Service fees: Exempted

Issuance of “Good conduct” Certificate.

Requested by previous residents in Qatar to be used in their own affairs.

Qatar’s Diplomatic and Consulate missions abroad will send the application to the directorate of consular affairs, which in turn  'll send it to the concerned department (Criminal Evidences and Information Department), and sends the reply to the mission after receiving it.

• A letter stating the reason of requesting this certificate, and the period of residency in Qatar.
• An original copy of the fingerprints form issued by the security authorities, and attested by the mission.
• Copy of the passport including the residency sticker, and a copy of the new passport (if applicable).
• Four personal photos (4X6)

Mandatory health insurance.

We recommend all travellers visiting the State of Qatar to have a valid health insurance policy covering Qatar's medical facilities. Visa-free entry

Visa-free entry is now the new term defining previously “visa on arrival”. Nothing changed except the name. 

Qatar-Oman Joint Tourist Visa

This visa is issued upon arrival and is valid for 30 days for the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman. It allows for multiple entry to both countries and is extendable for an additional 30 days for a fee. Citizens of the following countries are eligible for the joint visa:

Qatar Airways passengers transiting in Hamad International Airport for a minimum of 5 hours are eligible to apply for the Qatar Transit Visa. It is free of charge, valid for up to 96 hours (four days) and open to passengers of all nationalities.

Here's who qualifies for Turkey's new digital nomad visa and how to apply

• Turkey is the latest country to open its arms to remote workers keen to relocate.
• Citizens from several European countries, plus Canada and the US, are eligible for a new visa.

Digital nomads are now welcome to stay in Turkey.

The country joins Italy, which recently made a similar announcement, in offering a visa for traveling professionals who want to work remotely in Turkey for an extended time.

The Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry created a website dedicated to digital nomads which provides a list of requirements for eligibility and the steps of the application process. The site also provides resources on how to get started in several of its major cities.

The Digital Nomad Identification Certificate, which is the first step to a digital nomad visa, is open to remote workers ages 21 to 55.

They have to provide proof that they are a university graduate, work in the "digital nomad field," and that they make at least $3,000 a month, or $36,000 annually, according to the site .

Applicants must also have a passport or travel documents that are valid for at least six months from the date they arrive in Turkey. The offer is only for citizens of several European countries and Canada, Russia, and the US.

If approved, it's as simple as applicants receiving a certificate with a barcode that they can use to apply for the digital nomad visa at the Turkish consulate.

Still, life in the country is not all rosy. Over the years, Turkish citizens have been up against rising inflation, and while the country bumped its minimum wage up 49% in 2024 to about $525 a month, many are still struggling.

However, more and more millennials and Gen Z are giving up on the dream of owning a house in the US, so some have opted to spend their time traveling and working abroad instead of saving for a starter home .

Earlier this month Italy announced that it would welcome remote workers and their families on renewable digital nomad visas.

USCIS to Open International Field Offices in Qatar and Turkey

WASHINGTON— U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today announced the upcoming opening of international field offices in Doha, Qatar, and Ankara, Turkey, to increase capacity for refugee processing, strengthen strategic partnerships, and facilitate interagency cooperation.

“Opening these field offices establishes a USCIS presence and expertise in critical locations in the Middle East and is part of our commitment to the Biden-Harris administration’s efforts to facilitate safe, lawful, and orderly migration and family reunification,” said USCIS Director Ur M. Jaddou. “Our presence in Qatar and Turkey expands USCIS’ footprint outside the United States, supports our humanitarian mission, and strengthens the integrity of the U.S. immigration system.”

The Biden-Harris administration set the refugee admissions ceiling for fiscal year 2024 at 125,000 refugees. Establishing USCIS field offices in Qatar and Turkey will support the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program’s infrastructure in the region. It also will directly support long-established and increasing USCIS refugee processing circuit rides.

Qatar is a critical location and a regional refugee processing hub. Refugee coordinators from the U.S. Department of State’s  Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), as well as a suboffice for the  Resettlement Support Center for the Middle East and North Africa , are already in Qatar. USCIS’ Doha Field Office will be located in the U.S. embassy facility at Camp As Sayliyah,   and staff will also periodically meet with the public for scheduled appointments at the U.S. Embassy in Qatar.

Turkey is also a critical location and regional refugee processing hub. The headquarters office for the  Resettlement Support Center for Turkey and the Middle East is in Turkey, as are  PRM refugee coordinators and a regional office for the  United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees . USCIS’ Ankara Field Office will be located in the U.S. Embassy Ankara.

USCIS staff will assume responsibility for processing  Form I-730, Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition , from State Department consular staff, assist with certain fraud detection-related activities, and provide other limited services. Services at both locations will be available only by appointment. USCIS will update the  International Immigration Offices webpage to include information about the field offices, services and appointments.

With the opening of the Doha Field Office on May 7, 2024, and the Ankara Field Office on May 9, 2024, USCIS will have 11 international field offices. Other international field offices include Beijing; Guangzhou, China; Guatemala City; Havana; Mexico City; Nairobi, Kenya; New Delhi; San Salvador, El Salvador; and Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
