Hip-hop heads, we’ve got massive news. Travis Scott, one of the biggest rappers and producers on the planet right now, has announced he’ll be heading off on a huge tour this summer. The Houston musician’s UTOPIA – Circus Maximus Tour will see him play 12 dates this side of the Atlantic – including, excitingly, two shows in the UK.

The Circus Maximus tour has been described as ‘an unparalleled audiovisual experience’ and its North American took place last year. The tour follows Scott’s chart-topping fourth studio album UTOPIA , which was the biggest-selling hip-hop release of 2023.

When is Travis Scott going on his UK tour in 2024?

Scott will be playing two shows in the UK on this summer’s Circus Maximus Tour. They are: 

• July 11: London, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
• July 13: Manchester, Co-op Live

The show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be his largest UK headline show to-date.

When do tickets go on sale?

General sale kicks off at 10am BST on Friday May 10. You’ll be able to get tickets here . 

Is there a presale?

There are a few presales available. For the London gig, Tottenham Hotspur Season Ticket Holders and One Hotspur Members got access at 10am on Thursday May 9.

For the Manchester show, Co-op members also got access on May 9 at 10am through the Co-op app. 

How much are Travis Scott tickets?

Official prices haven’t yet been confirmed, so watch this space for updates.

Following the presale today (May 9) some on X have leaked potential prices (so take ’em with a pinch of salt), saying that seated tickets will start from around £72 and that standing will start from £105. ‘Gold Circle’ tickets apparently start from around £143. 

Tickets for the same tour over in North America started from $65 (£52).

Titled the ‘Utopia: Circus Maximus tour’, the new run of tour dates see the rapper head across the pond to celebrate the release of his record-breaking album ‘Utopia’ , and arrives on the heels of his sold-out run of shows across North America.

Set to take place across this summer, the dates kick off with an opening night at the GelreDome venue in Arnhem on June 28, before continuing throughout July with stops in Krakow (2), Zurich (4), Nice (6) and Antwerk (9).

From there, two UK shows are lined-up – one of which is set at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and will mark his largest UK headline show to date. The London show is scheduled for July 11, and will be followed by a stop at the new Co-Op Live arena in Manchester two nights later (July 23).

The shows wrap up with five more shows across Europe, including stops in Prague, Cologne, Milan and Hamburg. The last show of the tour will take place at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt on July 27.

‘Utopia’ arrived last year and soon became the biggest-selling hip-hop release of 2022 – spending four weeks at the top of the Billboard Top 200 and gathering over 50 billion streams globally. It was also named as the most streamed album in its first week in 2023 by Spotify, and Apple Music confirmed the biggest first-day streams of an album in 2023.

It was given a three-star review by NME , who described it as having a “lofty concept”, but “shaky execution”.

“By going back to the sound of his early work, Scott steps back into the gargantuan shadow of his mentor, Kanye West,” it read. “Whereas ‘Astroworld’ was the perfect theme for Scott’s music – we’re going to a theme park! – in trying to navigate a lofty concept like finding utopia, his ambitions have led him back to someone who was far more formidable at it.”

In more recent news, at the start of the year the rapper joined forces with Playboi Carti at the 2024 Grammys, coming together to deliver a destructive performance of ‘Fein’ .

American rapper Travis Scott has announced a huge UK and European arena and stadium tour - including his largest UK headline show to date.

The music star will bring his UTOPIA - Circus Maximus Tour to this side of the pond following a massive sold-out run in North America last year. Billed as an ‘unparalleled audiovisual experience’, the tour is based around his UTOPIA album which has now surpassed 50 billion streams globally.

The UK and European tour will kick off in the Netherlands before taking in dates in Poland, Switzerland, France and the UK. He will perform at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on July 11 before heading to Manchester’s Co-op Live on July 13.

The London date has been described as his largest UK headline show so far. The summer tour, which will consist of 12 arena and stadium dates, will also include shows in Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic and Italy. Tickets for all dates will go on sale on Friday (May 10).

£1 from every ticket sold will go towards the Cactus Jack Foundation, an organisation that supports young people in Travis’ hometown of Houston with access to college scholarship programs and help with expenses for education and creative endeavours.

Travis’ UTOPIA album was named the biggest-selling hip-hop release of 2023. The record also lay claim to the record for the biggest first-day streams of an album on Apple Music and the most streamed album in its first week in 2023 on Spotify.

Throughout his career, the hip hop star, who has two children with Kylie Jenner, has worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, Drake, and The Weeknd. In 2020, he also collaborated with video game Fortnite and created the ASTROWORLD festival.

As usual for dates at Co-op Live, members of the Co-operative will also be able to get their hands on tickets early through the Co-op app. Pre-sale will be available from 10am on Wednesday (May 8).

General access for tickets will be available from 10am on Friday (May 10) via Ticketmaster.

The  astroworld performer has announced stops in london and manchester on his new european tour this summer.

American rapper Travis Scott is set to host his largest UK headline show to date this summer as part of a 14-stop continuation of his Utopia: Circus Maximus Tour across Britain and mainland Europe.

Scott is set to perform at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Manchester’s £365m Co-op Live venue in July which follows a sold-out tour of North America last year off the back of the artist’s record-breaking No 1 album UTOPIA .

The critically-acclaimed album was last year’s biggest-selling hip-hop release, pulling in 50 billion streams globally as well as the titles of most streamed album in its first week on Spotify in 2023 and most streamed album on its first day on Apple Music in 2023.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Utopia – Circus Maximus World Tour , including dates of the UK gigs and other stops and where and when to buy general and pre-sale tickets.

When is Travis Scott playing in the UK?

The first of Scott’s two newly-announced UK gigs is on Thursday 11 July at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

This is to be followed two nights later by a show at the problem-plagued Co-op Live venue in Manchester , which is scheduled for Saturday 13 July.

The Astroworld artist kicks off his European tour at the Gelre Dome in Arnhem in the Netherlands on 28 June before taking to various stages in Poland (Krakow; 2 July), Switzerland (Zurich; 4 July), France (Nice; 6 July), Austria (Vienna; 7 July) and Belgium (Antwerp; 8 July) ahead of his two stops on British soil.

He then returns to the continent to finish up the tour, performing in Romania (Constinesti; 14 July), Czechia (Prague; 18 July) and Italy (Milan; 23 July) in between stops in the German cities of Hamburg (16 July), Cologne (20 July) and Frankfurt (27 July).

The news of the new tour comes as the start of the first civil trial stemming from Scott’s 2021 Astroworld festival in Houston – at which 10 people were killed in a crowd surge – has been delayed .

Jury selection had previously been set to begin Tuesday 7 May in the wrongful-death lawsuit filed by the family of Madison Dubiski, a 23-year-old Houston resident who was killed during the crowd crush at Scott’s November 2021 concert.

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets go on general sale from 10am on Friday 10 May.

One euro or pound from every ticket sold will reportedly go to Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation , a 501(c)3 (non-profit organisation) with a mission to uplift the youth from Houston (the capital of Scott’s home state, Texas) through toy drives, scholarship programmes to students at historically black colleges and universities and fulfilling expenses for education and creative endeavours.

Is there a pre-sale?

You can register in advance for early access – pre-sale – tickets to both UK concerts.

Meanwhile, a press release from Tottenham Hotspur says that Spurs season ticket holders and One Hotspur Members “will be given priority access to tickets” for the London show “with an exclusive pre-sale”.

Pre-sale tickets are set to go live at 10am on Thursday 9 May, a day before general tickets are made available for purchase.

Here’s everything you need to know

Travis Scott’s imminent arrival in the United Kingdom continues a busy week of music in the country, with both Wireless and TRNSMT festivals set to take place later this week.

There were questions over whether the rapper and Catcus Jack entrepreneur would be able to perform in Manchester and London, though, after he was arrested in June 2024 - it could have thrown up issues for the artist’s visa to enter the United Kingdom.

On June 20, Scott was arrested for disorderly intoxication and trespassing at Miami Beach Marina, the BBC reported, with the rapper said to have been shouting at people on a yacht. Scott was said to have “disregarded officers’ command” and started shouting and disturbing residents, according to the report. 

However, Scott later admitted he had been drinking, with his legal representatives citing: “Mr Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding. There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution."

Had things panned out differently though, the Home Office could have banned Scott from entering the United Kingdom and performing in London and Manchester - much like some other musicians have dealt with previously. 

Why could Travis Scott not have been able to perform in the UK after his arrest?

The Home Office can refuse entry to people to the United Kingdom if they have a prior conviction or engage in activity deemed “unacceptable behaviour.” This can range from hate speech and promoting ideologies that are deemed offensive in the UK, to criminal activity that in the past has shown elements of concern should they enter the United Kingdom. 

The exact legislation from the Home Office , particularly part 9.3.1 of the Immigration rules reads: ”An application for entry clearance, permission to enter or permission to stay must be refused where the applicant's presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good because of their conduct, character, associations or other reasons (including convictions which do not fall within the criminality grounds).”

What musicians have previously not been allowed to perform in the United Kingdom?

There have been several times that a musician has been prevented from entering the United Kingdom to perform, however, a number of those bans have since been overturned upon appeal.

Snoop Dogg was originally banned from entering the United Kingdom in 2007 over what was described as a “violent incident” at Heathrow Airport in 2006 , however, the rapper was allowed back into the country in 2010 after an appeal to the Home Office.

Controversial young hip-hop star Tyler, The Creator was also banned from the United Kingdom for some time after the “Lonely Boy” artist was found to be promoting homophobic sentiments in his music - a move that also led to the New Zealand Home Office banning him from performing at the Big Day Out festival , though the ban only lasted three to five years and he was allowed back into the country in 2018.

More recently, 6ix9ine was banned from entering the United Kingdom after pleading guilty to several charges regarding his involvement in the Nine Trey Gangsters arrest in 2018 for charges related to racketeering, weapon possession, and conspiracy to commit murder.

There are still tickets to see Travis Scott performing in the United Kingdom this week, with the rapper performing in London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 11 and then Manchester’s Co-Op Live on July 13, 2024. Both gigs look set to go ahead.

Travis Scott will continue his  Utopia - Circus Maximus Tour across Europe this summer.

The Houston rapper has promised "an unparalleled audiovisual experience" at 12 arena and stadium dates on the next leg of the trek, kicking off in the Netherlands at the Gelredome in Arnhem on June 28.

The tour will visit the UK for shows at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Manchester's Co-Op Live arena on July 11 and 13, respectively, in between dates across the continent, calling in Poland, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic and Germany. 

The run also includes a previously scheduled headline appearance at  Rolling Loud Europe in Vienna, Austria on July 7.

Tickets for the new dates go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (May 10), with one euro/pound from every ticket being donated to the Cactus Jack Foundation , which aids people and other charitable organisations in need in Houston, Texas.

The tour supports Scott's chart-topping album, and fourth overall, 'Utopia', which was released in July 2023.

The rapper will headline the O2 Arena on July 16.

I was beyond excited for this show! I heard it was supposed to be visually stunning so I was prepared for some high quality views. It was a lot of fun but I have to say, I think my expectations may have been too high. The roller coaster type set up was really fun to watch and the overall lighting and video playing during the show was really cool. Sound on the other hand was rough. In a big arena, sound usually isn't an issue so I think it may have had something to do with Scott's performance. At times it was really hard to tell which song he was singing or where he was at in the song. When he talked to the audience it was super hard to tell what he was saying. Again, I'm not totally positive what was at fault here. We were also disappointed that the big screen wasn't playing the live show, only two smaller screens on the sides that we couldn't see. All in all it was a cool show, but I would probably read more reviews before going to another!

Every and any opportunity to go to a Travis Scott concert and see him perform should be taken because the man and his shows are LEGENDARY. General admission shows are cool, but there are so many people that make it somewhat difficult to fully enjoy but that is just part of the experience. If it gets difficult to breathe or there is something wrong though, people will help you and the security is usually very attentive. LA FLAME IS A LEGEND AND HIS PERFORMANCES ARE TO DIE FOR!!!!

The first wrongful-death trial in Travis Scott concert deaths has been delayed

The start of the first civil trial stemming from the 2021 Astroworld festival, at which 10 people were killed in a crowd surge, has been delayed.

Jury selection had been set to begin next Tuesday in the wrongful-death lawsuit filed by the family of Madison Dubiski, a 23-year-old Houston resident who was killed during the crowd crush at the Nov. 5, 2021, concert by rap superstar Travis Scott.

But Apple Inc., one of the more than 20 defendants going to trial next week, filed an appeal this week, automatically delaying the start of jury selection.

“Unless I hear differently, the trial is stayed,” state District Judge Kristen Hawkins said during a court hearing Thursday.

Apple, which livestreamed Scott’s concert, is appealing a ruling by Hawkins that denied the company’s motion to be dismissed from the case. Apple has argued that under Texas law, it can appeal Hawkins’ ruling because its defense claims are being made in part as a member of the electronic media.

Apple is arguing that in livestreaming Scott’s concert, it was acting as a member of the electronic media and its actions merit free speech protection.

“It remains our position that our conduct is protected by the First Amendment,” Kent Rutter, one of Apple’s attorneys, told Hawkins during a court hearing Thursday.

Just before the hearing ended, Hawkins said she had been notified that the appeals court earlier Thursday had denied a request by the lawyers for Dubiski's family to lift the stay.

Jason Itkin, one of the attorneys for Dubiski’s family, said he planned to appeal that denial, likely up to the Texas Supreme Court.

Lawyers for Dubiski’s family have alleged that her death was caused by negligent planning and a lack of concern over capacity at the event. Her lawyers allege that how Apple placed its cameras around the concert site affected the placement of barriers and reduced available crowd space by the main stage.

Rutter argued that it was broadcasting an event “with significant public interest” and that by doing so, it was acting as a member of the media and gathering news.

Itkin said Apple has described itself in business records as a company that makes smartphones and computers but doesn’t mention news or news reporting. He added that the company’s Apple News app is a subscription service that aggregates the stories of other news organizations.

“This is not a free speech case. They know that,” Itkin said.

During the hearing, Hawkins appeared skeptical about Apple’s claims about being a member of the electronic media, asking Rutter that if a livestream were set up in a zoo to watch animals, would that be news.

“Yes, it would be,” Rutter said.

Over 4,000 plaintiffs filed hundreds of lawsuits following the concert. Dubiski’s case had been chosen by attorneys in the litigation to be the first to go to trial. More than 20 defendants, including Scott, Apple and Live Nation, the festival’s promoter, had been set to go on trial Tuesday.

Following a police investigation, a grand jury last year declined to indict Scott, along with five others connected to the festival.

Fans attending a Houston music festival surged toward the stage during a performance by rapper Travis Scott, triggering panic in the crowd of tens of thousands. At least eight people were killed and many more hurt, authorities said.

Among them were two teenagers and at least five people in their twenties, ranging in age from 14 to 27. One person's age has not been confirmed and only six of the families have been notified. Identities are yet to be determined, according to Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña.

‘Stop the Show!' Houston Astroworld Festival Concertgoers Describe Chaos

The chaos unfolded Friday evening at Astroworld, a sold-out, two-day event at the NRG Park stadium. An estimated 50,000 people were in attendance. It was not clear what set the crowd in motion.

Turner called the disaster “a tragedy on many different levels” and said it was too early to draw conclusions about what went wrong.

Peña and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo both reported there were eight people killed and that more than 300 people had been treated at a field hospital for injuries.

Peña told reporters that at about 9:38 p.m., there was a surge toward the stage while Travis Scott was performing and that "scores of people were injured."

"That caused some panic, and it started causing some injuries, people began to fall out, become unconscious, and it created additional panic," the fire chief said.

About 50,000 people were at the event at NRG Park, which was being put on by rapper and producer Travis Scott. The festival, which is in its third year, was expected to be a two-day event, but officials said that Saturday's lineup had been canceled.

Scott said on Twitter that he was "absolutely devastated" by what happened and expressed his support for all those impacted.

Officials set up a reunification center at the Wyndham Houston at 8686 Kirby for anyone looking for missing AstroWorld attendees. Authorities were looking to connect families with festivalgoers who were transported to the hospital, “some as young as 10” years old, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said.

Houston police Executive Assistant Chief Lt. Larry Satterwhite, who was near the front, said the situation developed quickly.

"It seems like it happened with just over the course of a few minutes —suddenly we had several people down on the ground experiencing some type of cardiac arrest or some type of medical episode," he said.

The surge happened shortly after 9 p.m. Friday. The show was called off shortly after several people began suffering injuries.

"It was scary, like genuinely," one concertgoer, Alleighya Odom, 21, told NBC News, adding that the tightly packed crowd "was like this force on my back, this continuous force."

"I started looking around and there's people on the ground, there's people looking at me like scared, eyes wild, like, 'please help me.'" she said. "There's people behind me crying because they're being stepped on."

“It may well be that this tragedy is the result of unpredictable events, of circumstances coming together that couldn’t possibly have been avoided," said Judge Lina Hidalgo, Harris County’s top elected official. "But until we determine that, I will ask the tough questions.”

“We're going to do an investigation and find out because it's not fair to the producers, to anybody else involved, until we determine what happened, what caused the surge,” he said. “We don't know, but we will find out.”

Billy Nasser described an area created by a stage barricade as a closet that people were thrown into and the door was shut. Joshua Robinson said the barricades created an area that “was just way too small and compact” for the number of people there.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said that authorities were investigating reports of suspicious activity in the crowd, including a security officer who told police that he felt a prick in his neck during the chaos and lost consciousness while being examined by first responders.

"He was revived by the opioid antidote Narcan," he said.

Finner also said that his department noticed attendees “going down” at 9:30 p.m. and immediately notified concert organizers. The event was called off 40 minutes later after discussions that included the fire department and officials with NRG Park.

On Saturday night, in a series of Instagram Story videos posted by Travis Scott, he said, "I want to send out prayers to the sort of ones that was lost last night. We're actually working right now to identify their families so we can help assist them through this tough time."

He continues, "You know, my fans, my fans, like our fans really mean the world to me and always just really want to leave them with a positive experience. I could just never imagined this severity of this situation. We've been working closely with everyone who is just trying to get to the bottom of this. The city of Houston, HPD, Fire Department."

The Astroworld Festival organizers said in a Facebook post that their hearts were with "those we lost and their loved ones."

They said they were cooperating with police and encouraged anyone with information on what happened in the crowd to speak with authorities.

The Associated Press reached out to a representative for Scott but did not immediately hear back.

Finner told reporters that Scott and the event promoters cooperated with police.

Scott founded Astroworld Festival in 2018 and it has taken place at the former site of Six Flags AstroWorld each year since, except for in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Other music events where there have been multiple fatalities in recent years include the Las Vegas massacre in 2017 when 58 people were killed at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, the so-called Ghost Ship fire in 2016 that killed 36 people in California and the 2003 Station nightclub fire that killed 100 people in Rhode Island.

Travis Kelce's Team Takes Legal Action Over 'Fabricated' Document Suggesting Taylor Swift Romance Is A PR Stunt

NFL star Travis Kelce ’s team is taking legal action over a supposed “leaked” contract suggesting his relationship with Taylor Swift is a PR arrangement.

Travis and Taylor began dating last year following her split from The 1975 singer Matty Healy , and have since made several public appearances together, including at her Eras Tour and at the Super Bowl , where his team came out on top earlier this year.

However, an alleged legal document from Travis’ PR firm Full Scope that was recently shared online claimed the pair were planning to announce they had split at the end of this month, and included proposed wording for the announcement.

His PR team has now denied the validity of the document, insisting to the Daily Mail it is “entirely false and fabricated” and “not created, issued or authorised by this agency”.

They added: “We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents.”

Images of the document appear to be Snapchat screenshots, and were widely circulated on Reddit earlier this week.

Taylor first spoke publicly about her relationship with Travis in an interview with Time magazine last year.

She explained: “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that.

“So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.

“By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

The 14-time Grammy winner continued: “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care.

“The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

When Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce confirmed they were dating, the singer's fans were convinced she had found The One.

In fact, it's a love story that could actually be a Hollywood movie – the pop star and the sports man who fell in love as the world watched.

But tonight Mr Kelce's representatives were forced to deny that they have plans to split later this month after a document written on the headed paper of his US PR company was spread online. 

The paperwork which appears to have been created by Los Angeles-based firm Full Scope, reveals a strategy to make their split, and says the date for an announcement is September 28.

It also outlines a supposed plan to release an official statement at the end of this month – three days 'post-break up' to 'allow the initial media frenzy to settle and ensure clarity'.

It adds that the announcement will be 'gracious, respectful and stress mutual respect. 

Laying out what the statement would say, they write: 'Example: Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other's personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time.

The paperwork also states that the announcement would focus on Mr Kelce's 'personal growth' by framing the breakup as a 'natural part of life.' It also will highlight his commitment to his career and his ongoing achievements in the sports industry.'

They also plan to send it to major media outlets with a press release to ensure ‘broad coverage.’

However, tonight a spokesman for Full Scope insisted that they were 'entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorised by this agency’.

The representative also said they have called in lawyers - though they are not expected to find the culprit.

'We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents,' they said.

Not all fans believe the statement - which was first shared on Reddit.

One follower of the social media platform pointed out that it 'reads like a high school assignment' while another said it appeared to look like it had been created by 'chat gtp.'

Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for Ms Swift didn't respond when asked if she wanted to comment on the split.

Mr Kelce is represented at the US firm by Jack Ketosyan and Pia Malihi. 

Mr Ketsoyan has admitted to putting together 'showmances' — where celebrities are set up for publicity — before.

Featuring in an Australian podcast for Mamamia's The Quicky in 2019, Mr Ketsoyan said the fake romances are generally put together if one has a film or something to promote or to distract from unappealing publicity like a project flop. 

He said at the time: 'It's to be able to sell the hype of it – whether a concert, album… or getting people to go to see the movie, it all about the hype at the moment.'
