Jazmine Sullivan is a singer and actress hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who was born on the 9th of April 1987. She has released three studio albums, nine singles and has been nominated for eleven Grammy awards since her debut in 2008.

Few R&B singers around have the sheer pedigree that Jazmine Sullivan has. Beyond being the daughter of a backing singer signed to Philadelphia International Records, Sullivan has been singing since she was a child. At first she was a contralto in her church’s children’s gospel choir but she was an immediate hit, graduating to the adult’s choir before she was ten years old and performing as the choir’s soloist by the time she was eleven. She was a wise one as well, as she could have signed on to a gospel label at that age but decided against it, feeling that she was too young. Instead she waited until she was 15 years old, but didn’t exactly laze about in the interim.

At 12 she won a contest to sing on It’s Showtime At The Harlem Apollo in front of a televised audience of millions, at 13 she sang with the actual Stevie Wonder at his grandson’s birthday party. Clearly, this would be enough to convince anyone that she was the real deal, and she had a record deal with Jive Records two years later. Unfortunately, this didn’t exactly go according to plan. She recorded a whole album on the label but due to record industry machinations, it was never released. She was quietly dropped from the label despite working with both Missy Elliot and Timbaland while she was there.

However, she still had a working relationship with most of the songwriters at Jive, and while she wasn’t signed as an artist she still worked with them to produce hits for everyone from Christina Milian to Jennifer Hudson. With this portfolio of hits to her name the folks at J Records welcomed her with open arms and in May 2008, at the age of 21, Jazmine Sullivan’s debut single “Need U Bad” was released. The track was a mild hit, scraping into the top 40 at number 37 but peaking at number one on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The album that followed, “Fearless”, was a far bigger deal, peaking at number six on the Billboard 200 and topping the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with aplomb.

Ever since then she’s remained one of the most acclaimed artists in American R&B, with her subsequent albums “Love Me Back” and “Reality Show” balancing massive critical praise with strong chart showings. Everything from her rasping, expressive voice to her deft, character building lyricism has been praised by both fans and critics and after her brief hiatus from music from 2011 to 2014, she’s at the very top of her game. For that reason, she comes highly recommended.

I could listen to Jazmine Sullivan's music all day long. She's a big R&B star and has won so many awards for a reason and that's because she's got such talent. I saw her with Angie Stone at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts in Detroit, Michigan, in July of 2011.

The Music Hall Center isn't a big place, which made it a perfect place to see Sullivan's show, and the show was sold out so it was kind of hard to get tickets, but me and my friends were dedicated and managed. The show started with a dark stage and then just one light came on and shown on Sullivan, sitting on a stool, and she sang "In Love With Another Man."

The audience was on its feet right away and when she finished we were all clapping and cheering. Sullivan's show lasted for two hours and it was great song after great song, hits like "Need You Bad," "Lions, Tigers and Bears," and "Need U Bad." The best song of the show was probably "Don't Make Me Wait & Get Lucky," because she danced right along with her back up dancers and it reminded me a lot of the old Motown girl groups. It was a great show and I loved it!

Jazmine Sullivan, the Philadelphia singer has been active as a musician for over 10 years and in that time she has accumulated critical and commercial acclaim. This is not to mention the massive fan base that she has amassed for her R & B/Soul characteristics in her vocal and her music.

She has only released two albums and therefore has not toured very much in the UK so when she does visit all her fans storm the venue to get the chance to see her live. Appearing humbly onstage, she is bathed in a purple glow as her slick backing band begin the opening tones of 'Famous' to the sound of huge cheers.

The crowd clearly knows the material as they proudly sing along to 'Bust Your Windows' which causes Jazmine to beam. She thanks the fans for their support and apologises for her infrequent visits to the UK. The audience seems forgiving as Sullivan brings out all the big hits including 'Don't Make Me Wait' and 'In Love With Another Man' which keeps the crowds dancing, singing and bouncing along with the songstress.

I have been a fan of Ms Sullivan since her first album Fear I feel as though she makes music that really speaks to the listener and has amazing vocals to back it up. Seeing Jazmine at the House of Blues was more than a bit disappointing I arrived as soon as the doors opened at 10:00 pm expecting an intimate performance fan focused fully on the fans that admire her talent and music. Instead I spent $60 to listen to a DJ play really great throw back jams for a straight 2 hours 30 minutes from 10:00 pm to 12:30 Jazmine after waiting a long time finally came out and performed briefly 5 songs and then left the stage. I certainly hope this is not the case for all her shows maybe I will be more impressed seeing her perform on a different stage.

Best concert I've ever been too! Opened with a new up and coming artist named Jordan Bratton he gave a performance infused with awesome energy ... Who ever is producing his music is setting him up to be great. On to the headline Jazmine made me cry with her sincerity to listen to her music then to see her live if you wasn't moved you aren't a true fan you'll smile with her and you'll love it every second id advise you if you want the full experience get the meet and greet or the sound check they gave out the photo with an autograph I wasn't aware and missed out that opportunity but next time I will be on top of it!

To spend NYE with Jazmine Sullivan is a once in a lifetime dream come true. This woman is truly gifted and amazing at what she does. This was my 3rd time seeing her in 2015 and I cannot wait to see more of her in 2016. I am forever a fan of hers and she is my all time favorite singer! She could sing the receipe to how to make a Pattie Pie and would still slay the whole world snatching our edges and souls with that voice of hers. She is truly a STAR on and off stage and I pray that she receives all 3 Grammys that she is nominated for! Queen Jazmine, you truly are a MASTERPIECE!

I must admit that the concert overall was amazing... The only negative comment I will list is the fact that Jazmine Sullivan was extremely late!!!!...her performance was on point!!!...I didn't plan on bringing in the new year at the TLA; I was trying 2 see the fireworks at Penn's Landing but the fact that she didn't start her performance til about 11pm... I practically didn't have a choice... So at the end it was worth it...even the standing throughout the show(I hate the TLA!!!)...

The Reality Show was absolutely amazing. Her vocals are out of this world! She really leaves it all out on the stage and does not hold back. You can feel all of the emotion in every performance. I wish I could go back and do it all over again. It was one of the best shows I have ever been too.

This was my 1st Jazmine show & I am still in awe of how amazing that woman sounds live! I can't wait until she does another show. She sounds even better than her albums, which not too many artist can do. She has great stage presence & the crowd loves her.

I KEEP wanting to use the word amazing, but it's simply not enough. Every single note that escaped Jazmine's mouth was absolutely perfect. It's unreal. I feel like I should have been throwing more money toward her for such a mind-blowing experience.

I love her. They don't give REAL SINGERS LIKE HER ANY RECOGNITION. TELL HER TO KEEP HER HEAD UP.. REAL MUSIC IS COMING BACK.. SHE IS A QUEEN. WITH THROWBACK SOUL. IM ANGELO STOWERS OF THE UNIVERSAL FUNK MOB BAND IN OHIO.. SHE INSPIRES ME WITH LOVE

HER Announced The Return Of Her Lights On Festival For 2023 With Jazmine Sullivan As A Headliner

HER ‘s Lights On Festival, which she launched in her native Bay Area in 2021 with co-headliner Erykah Badu before expanding to Brooklyn with Maxwell, is coming back for another round of soulful performances this September in Mountain View, California. This time, she’ll be accompanied as co-headliner by Jazmine Sullivan, with support from PartyNextDoor, Don Toliver, Alina Baraz, Toosii, Smino, and Syd, in addition to many more breakout artists in hip-hop and R&B.

The Lights On Fest is billed for the weekend of September 16-17 at Shoreline Festival Grounds in Mountain View. The presale for tickets begins this Thursday, June 28, at 12 pm, while the general sale begins on Friday at 12. You can get more information at LightsOnFest.com .

While some fans thought HER was in danger of becoming oversaturated, what with her numerous Grammys, Oscars, and Emmys — she’s only a Tony Award away from an EGOT — she has kept a low profile early this year after declaring that she wanted “ people to get to know the person behind [the HER persona]” — a process that drew plenty of positive attention . Making a comeback with her well-received festival will help with that, as will her upcoming role in the musical remake of The Color Purple dropping later this year.

H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan Anchor Return of Lights On Festival 

Multi-award winning artist, songwriter, and performer H.E.R. has announced the lineup for the return of the Lights On Festival, scheduled for September 16 and 17. Jazmine Sullivan will headline the opening night, with H.E.R. and Friends anchoring the second night lineup, with performances scheduled from artists including Don Toliver, Alina Baraz, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Doechii, DVSN, and more.

“I’m so excited ‘Lights On Fest’ will be making its return,” H.E.R. says, “It’s my favorite way to wind down the summer by having two days filled with great R&B music. I am so proud to reveal the extraordinary talent we have on the bill this year and can’t wait for everyone to see what’s to come!”

Following sellouts for its prior two editions in 2019 and 2021, the Lights Out Festival moves to the festival grounds of Shoreline Amphitheater this fall, bringing the R&B experience to the Bay Area.

All passes to Lights On Festival will be general admission for the 2023 event, with tickets on sale to the general public on Friday, June 30. There are presales that launch as early as July 29. Ticket prices for the festival have not yet been made public.

North to Shore Music Festival Announces Upcoming Performances by Jazmine Sullivan, Jhene Aiko, and Queen Naija

( ENSPIRE Music ) Triple Threat of Music Sensations Taking Over the Prudential Center This June

For all of us looking for the perfect summer concert, this show is the perfect opportunity. North to Shore Music Festival, in association with S.J. Presents, Black Promoters Collective, announced that three bombshell artists will share the stage at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Jazmine Sullivan, Jhene Aiko, and Queen Naija will light up the stage on June 23rd, 2023. This show is anticipated to sell out fast, with audiences able to purchase tickets starting April 7th.

ENSPIRE Magazine loves to highlight musical talent and especially show-stopping collaborations like this one. These three black female artists are a powerhouse of musical artistry that is leading and inspiring their generation. Audiences can look forward to a breathtaking show in the state-of-the-art Prudential Center, which is also home to the GRAMMY Museum Experience. ENSPIRE encourages readers to get to know the artists and their success before going to better understand how meaningful this concert will be.

Jazmine Sullivan is often cited as one of today’s most dynamic vocalists. She is a multi-grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and is consistently topping the charts with her fresh albums. Her latest release is her album titled “Heaux Tales” which debuted at No. 1 on the R&B Albums chart, No. 2 on the R&B/Hip Hop chart, and No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. Jazmine Sullivan, Jhené Aiko to Perform Concerts at North 2 Shore Festival

Jazmine Sullivan and Jhené Aiko have teamed with Black Promoters Collective to co-headline two shows for the North 2 Shore Festival.

The concerts are set to take place at Boardwalk Hall Arena on June 10 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and at Prudential Center on June 23 in Newark, New Jersey. Both shows are scheduled to start at 8 p.m.

Sullivan, tapped for multiple festivals this year, will support her Grammy-winning album Heaux Tales and its deluxe edition. The standard edition , named the best R&B album of 2021 by Rated R&B, gained rave reviews as the popularity of its runaway single, “ Pick Up Your Feelings ,” grew.

A year later, before Sullivan took home two Grammys in 2022, she released Heaux Tales, Mo Tales: The Deluxe . The expanded version includes “ Hurt Me So Good ,” Sullivan’s second chart-topping single on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.

Aiko could treat audiences to a performance of her new song “ Calm & Patient .” She will likely perform music from her Grammy-nominated album Chilombo , along with songs from her debut mixtape, Sailing Soul (s) , which she uploaded to streaming platforms for the first time in 2021.

Queen Naija is a special guest for each show. Meanwhile, model-turned-singer Ebony Riley will perform on a select date.

Jazmine Sullivan Tour 2024

Jazmine Sullivan Heaux Tales tour 2024 announced : Jazmine Sullivan returns to the road in 2022 for the highly anticipated The Heaux Tales Tour. The 25-city North American tour kicks off on February 14 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver and wraps up at the House of Blues in Chicago on March 30. Currently, the announced dates include one show in each city, including Los Angeles, New Orleans, Nashville, Atlanta, Detroit and more. Philadelphia fans may have noticed that the city is not included in the current lineup, but the singer assured her hometown fans, "I haven't forgotten about you, stay tuned." Sullivan will make four stops in California in February, playing in San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento and Los Angeles. He will then head to Texas and perform in Irving and Houston, before making two stops in North Carolina and others in Louisiana, Oregon, Washington, Georgia and Tennessee. The shows closest to the Philadelphia area are in Brooklyn, New York, on March 17 and Washington, D.C., where the R&B singer will perform on March 20. "Heaux Tales" is Sullivan's fourth studio album following 2015's "Reality Show." Her latest album has received much media attention, earning her the 2021 BET Award for Album of the Year, as well as Album of the Year and Best Female R&B/Soul Artist at Sunday's BET Soul Train Awards. She was also recently nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Best R&B Album, R&B Song and R&B Performance for the single "Pick Up Your Feelings." H.E.R.’s Lights On Festival Returns For 2023 With Jazmine Sullivan, Kiana Ledé & All Manners Of R&B

H.E.R. is bringing her Lights On Festival back! After taking 2022 off, the big event is bouncing back for 2023 with plans to be bigger than ever. The R&B-centric music festival is scheduled to go down the weekend of Saturday, September 16th and Sunday, September 17th. It will once again be going up in the Bay Area and has relocated to a larger venue – at the festival grounds at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California – to accommodate even more R&B lovers.

The upgraded location will be the perfect site for the H.E.R.-curated lineup of contemporary R&B’s boldest talents and brightest up-and-comers. The GRAMMY, Emmy and Oscar winner will headline the festival’s final night during a H.E.R. & Friends performance. During H.E.R.’s headlining set at the 2021 Lights On Festival , she brought out Chris Brown , Chlöe , Goapele and Saweetie , so there’s no telling who all will be there this year, but it’s guaranteed to be mind-blowing.

Speaking of mind-blowing, Jazmine Sullivan has been tapped as the festival’s Saturday night headliner. Jazzy will bring rich vocals, commanding stage presence, numerous Heaux Tales and so much more with her to the 2023 Lights On Festival’s stage.

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. He didn't take shortcuts and really covered everything that was on the agenda in great detail. We saw beautiful metro stations and learned the history behind them, including many of the murals and designs.

For the first time Rosatom Fuel Division supplied fresh nuclear fuel to the world’s only floating nuclear cogeneration plant in the Arctic

The fuel was supplied to the northernmost town of Russia along the Northern Sea Route.

The first in the history of the power plant refueling, that is, the replacement of spent nuclear fuel with fresh one, is planned to begin before 2024. The manufacturer of nuclear fuel for all Russian nuclear icebreakers, as well as the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, is Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC), a company of Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL that is based in Elektrostal, Moscow Region.

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactors of the icebreaking type. Unlike convenient ground-based large reactors (that require partial replacement of fuel rods once every 12-18 months), in the case of these reactors, the refueling takes place once every few years and includes unloading of the entire reactor core and loading of fresh fuel into the reactor.

The cores of KLT-40 reactors of the Akademik Lomonosov floating power unit have a number of advantages compared to the reference ones: a cassette core was used for the first time in the history of the unit, which made it possible to increase the fuel energy resource to 3-3.5 years between refuelings, and also reduce the fuel component of the electricity cost by one and a half times. The FNPP operating experience formed the basis for the designs of reactors for nuclear icebreakers of the newest series 22220. Three such icebreakers have been launched by now.

For the first time the power units of the Akademik Lomonosov floating nuclear power plant were connected to the grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020. The supply of nuclear fuel from Elektrostal to Pevek and its loading into the second reactor is planned for 2024. The total power of the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, supplied to the coastal grid of Pevek without thermal energy consumption on shore, is about 76 MW, being about 44 MW in the maximum thermal power supply mode. The FNPP generated 194 million kWh according to the results of 2023. The population of Pevek is just a little more than 4 thousand, while the FNPP has a potential for supplying electricity to a city with a population of up to 100 thousand people. After the FNPP commissioning two goals were achieved. These include first of all the replacement of the retiring capacities of the Bilibino NPP, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya TPP, which has already been operating for more than 70 years. Secondly, energy is supplied to the main mining companies in western Chukotka in the Chaun-Bilibino energy hub a large ore and metal cluster, including gold mining companies and projects related to the development of the Baimsk ore zone. In September 2023, a 110 kilovolt power transmission line with a length of 490 kilometers was put into operation, connecting the towns of Pevek and Bilibino. The line increased the reliability of energy supply from the FNPP to both Bilibino consumers and mining companies, the largest of which is the Baimsky GOK. The comprehensive development of the Russian Arctic is a national strategic priority. To increase the NSR traffic is of paramount importance for accomplishment of the tasks set in the field of cargo shipping. This logistics corridor is being developed due regular freight voyages, construction of new nuclear-powered icebreakers and modernization of the relevant infrastructure. Rosatom companies are actively involved in this work. Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL (Rosatom Fuel Division) includes companies fabricating nuclear fuel, converting and enriching uranium, manufacturing gas centrifuges, conducting researches and producing designs. As the only nuclear fuel supplier to Russian NPPs, TVEL supplies fuel for a total of 75 power reactors in 15 countries, for research reactors in nine countries, as well as for propulsion reactors of the Russian nuclear fleet. Every sixth power reactor in the world runs on TVEL fuel. Rosatom Fuel Division is the world’s largest producer of enriched uranium and the leader on the global stable isotope market. The Fuel Division is actively developing new businesses in chemistry, metallurgy, energy storage technologies, 3D printing, digital products, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. TVEL also includes Rosatom integrators for additive technologies and electricity storage systems. Rosenergoatom, Joint-Stock Company is part of Rosatom Electric Power Division and one of the largest companies in the industry acting as an operator of nuclear power plants. It includes, as its branches, 11 operating NPPs, including the FNPP, the Scientific and Technical Center for Emergency Operations at NPPs, Design and Engineering as well as Technological companies. In total, 37 power units with a total installed capacity of over 29.5 GW are in operation at 11 nuclear power plants in Russia. Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC, Elektrostal) is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fuel for nuclear power plants. The company produces fuel assemblies for VVER-440, VVER-1000, RBMK-1000, BN-600,800, VK-50, EGP-6; powders and fuel pellets intended for supply to foreign customers. It also produces nuclear fuel for research reactors. The plant belongs to the TVEL Fuel Company of Rosatom.

Rosatom obtained a license for the first land-based SMR in Russia

On April 21, Rosenergoatom obtained a license issued by Rostekhnadzor to construct the Yakutsk land-based SMR in the Ust-Yansky District of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
