Blink-182 live on stage

Blink-182 at London’s O2 Arena: timings, potential setlist and everything you need to know

The pop-punk trio’s world tour stops by the capital for two gigs this week

Ed Cunningham

London , get ready to bounce and scream and have a shit-tonne of fun. Legendary pop-punks Blink-182 are in town this week. And better yet, this is no less than the OG Blink, with their original line-up of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker. Yeah, we’re excited too.

As part of a global tour that began in the US back in May, Blink-182 are playing two dates at the O2 Arena in Greenwich this week. Expect to hear classics like ‘All the Small Things’ and ‘What’s My Age Again?’, as well as sneak peeks at the band’s upcoming album ‘One More Time’, which officially arrives on October 20.

From doors and stage times to the setlist, here’s every you need to show about Blink’s shows in the capital this week.

When is Blink-182 at London’s O2 Arena?

The trio are playing the O2 on October 11 and October 12 2023.

When will Blink-182 come on stage?

This hasn’t been confirmed. However, from previous tour dates we’d expect the band to start playing at around 8:45pm.

What time do doors open?

Doors open at 6:30pm.

Who is supporting Blink-182 at London’s O2 Arena?

Support comes from American pop-punks The Story So Far.

Any news on the setlist?

Don’t expect the band to play exactly the same set of songs on every leg of the tour. However, this was the setlist for a gig in Paris earlier this week.

  • Anthem Part Two
  • The Rock Show
  • Family Reunion
  • Man Overboard
  • Feeling This
  • Up All Night
  • Aliens Exist
  • Dysentery Gary
  • MORE THAN YOU KNOW
  • DANCE WITH ME
  • Happy Holidays, You Bastard
  • Stay Together for the Kids
  • Bored to Death
  • Adam's Song
  • Ghost on the Dance Floor
  • What's My Age Again?
  • All the Small Things
  • ONE MORE TIME

Can you still get tickets to Blink-182’s ‘All the Small Things’ tour in London?

You can indeed. You can check availability at the two gigs on AXS here – last time we checked, resale tickets were available starting from about £61.

Blink 182 at Manchester’s AO Arena — tickets, support acts, stage times and more

Tom's back, a new album is just around the corner and all the bangers are coming out. Long live Blink!

Danny Jones

The undisputed kings of pop-punk, blink-182, are back and they’re playing not one but two massive dates at Manchester’s AO Arena.

And when we say back , we mean properly this time: Tom DeLonge returning on guitar and vocals and everything. This is going to be so mint.

The American outfit — which was recently restored to its original lineup of DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker — announced their new record, One More Time… back in September, which is the band’s ninth studio album all-told and the first in 12 years since the trio last recorded together.

We think we speak for everyone when we say it’s going to be a big night at the Arena . Or two. With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about blink-182 ‘s Manchester double-header this Sunday and Monday.

blink 182 manchester support acts

Are their tickets left for either of Blink 182’s nights at the AO Arena?

If you’re looking to grab a last-ditch ticket to see the Blink boys do their thing, you’re in luck: there are still plenty of tickets available for both nights on this occasion, however, this fortunate situation does come with a catch…

We’re not going to lie to you, these aren’t the cheapest gig tickets you’ll ever buy. In fact, it was a bit of a story when they were first released as some people were paying over the odds to secure theirs. The cheapest seats you’ll find start from £64.95, whereas standing tickets on the main floor and the inevitable pit will set you back upwards of £166. Crikey.

If money’s not an issue then happy days; should that be the case, you can even spring for one of the extremely premium ‘Beautiful North’ packages — these things are more expensive than the usual Electric Lounge VIP boxes and will set you back a whopping £380.75. Nope, not joking.

See what you’re willing to pay for HERE .

Support acts

On the other hand, we would argue the one thing these ticket prices do have to their name is overall value for money when you look at the calibre of blink-182’s support acts on this tour.

Pop-punk and rock royalty demands only the best of warm-up acts and, in this case, the place will be literally scorching long before the main event gets underway.

Manc fans will get also to see contemporary favourites of the genre, The Story So Far, who recently released their first new music in half a decade.

These are two bands most people would happily pay a significant sum to see on their own, let alone together in a huge arena setting where they’re sure to be on top form.

Blink 182’s Manchester stage times

Doors open at 6pm and The Story So Far will kick things off around 7:30pm. While we’re still not too sure how long their set is going to be, blink-182 are scheduled to take the stage at 8:45pm.

As for the California rockers themselves, they typically play 90-minute sets judging from what we’ve been hearing from other shows on this European tour so far, and AO will have an 11pm curfew as it does with most gigs.

Oh, and if you hear any word of an after-party somewhere in town, you best let us know!

blink 182 ao arena

What’s the setlist going to be?

When it comes to what the seasoned pros will be playing for their long-awaited reunion, there will of course be a sprinkling of the tracks from the new album but they know as well as we do that everyone wants to hear the hits.

Fortunately, Setlist.fm has come in handy as usual and according to their most recent shows, the lads will be playing a staggering 27 tracks in total including an encore, so you’re really getting the full spectrum no matter what night you pick.

Here’s the running order as far as we know:

  • Anthem Part Two
  • The Rock Show
  • Family Reunion
  • Man Overboard
  • Feeling This
  • Violence (where Travis plays blindfolded)
  • Up All Night
  • Reckless Abandon
  • More Than You Know
  • Dance With Me
  • Aliens Exist
  • Happy Holidays, You Bastard (played twice, the second time at double-speed)
  • Stay Together for the Kids
  • Bored to Death
  • Adam’s Song
  • Ghost on the Dance Floor
  • What’s My Age Again?
  • All the Small Things
  • Dammit (they have brought out a special guest at this point in the past)
  • One More Time (the title track off the new record)

  • All gigs happening in Manchester this October
  • Stockport music icons Blossoms have started their own record label, ODD SK
  • All the shows announced so far at Manchester’s newest arena, Co-op Live

blink-182’s new album, One More Time… , releases on October 20 and from the glimpses we’ve heard so far, Mark, Tom and Travis are really enjoying being back playing and making music together.

It goes without saying that we love seeing them in each other’s company again too and whether you’re lucky enough to be seeing them on Sunday, 15 October or starting off your week right with the gig on Monday, 16 October, we beg you scream ‘All The Small Things’ at the top of your lungs.

Novo Amor New Century Hall Manchester gig review

Friday night’s gig at New Century Hall was one of those where you’re so stunned by the show that you’re left wishing the act in front of you was Manc so you could claim them as you’re own – but sadly Novo Amor is a Welshman and we had to give him back.

The stage name for the highly impressive multi-instrumentalist and producer, Ali John Meredith-Lacey, in truth seeing him for the first time here in Manchester proved that the Novo Amor really is the sum of many talented parts.

Much like Bon Iver in that sense and in style, sound and approach to making music, for without Justin Vernon and co. there would be no Novo, one of our first worries was that he would be unable to carry over the level of production and sound design heard on the albums to the stage performance.

That’s where his full band came in, who ensured not only that the whole thing sounded virtually studio-perfect but took a step beyond what we ever thought we’d get to hear at a Novo Amor gig. And it all started with Ed Tullet performing under his own stage name Lowswimer for the opening act.

Lowswimmer

Anyone who listens to Novo will likely be aware of the little sub-group of artists that all swim in the same circle, from Ali himself to the likes Gia Margaret, Sean Carey (part of Bon Iver) and Yvette Young, to Hailaker – Tullet being one-half opposite Jemima Coulter – as well as Lowswimmer and several others.

He might have only played a handful of songs with only a guitar, including a couple of beautiful Hailaker tracks, but it was more than enough to leave an impression of the very sincere artist who clearly has a massive influence on all of those around him.

Explaining that this would be his second to last show perform with Novo Amor due to health issues and the general toll of touring, having helped write, record, produce and play the bulk of music ever put out under that name since day dot, it was a fittingly sombre and intimate warm-up.

However, even in delivering the more stripped-back set we were already half expecting from the headliner, we almost managed to get both sides of this little mini-music community: the quieter acoustic stuff where big vocals moments are left to shine, and they did, as well as the real deal.

Novo Amor live at New Century

When Ali and the rest of his band finally walked out on stage, with Ed himself receding back into what looked to be the more comfortable position just outside of the spotlight, it suddenly dawned on us that it wouldn’t just be a few folky guitars and some nice piano playing.

After the Lowswimmer’s ironically low-lit stage had somehow managed to hide a quietly better-budget backdrop, the stage suddenly began to light up as Novo Amor wandered on to pick up their instruments and play and from here on out we were just as captivated by the lights and effects as we were the music.

Be it thin but sharp white lines tracing the borders of light boxes like a weird game of snake; solid blocks of electric blues, warm yellows and moody reds appearing on perfectly-timed musical cues or dots delicately twinkling into a slow-moving constellation, each song felt like an experience.

Not sure we’ll ever get over seeing this track being introduced in such a stunning way and in a venue as eye-catching as New Century :

Similar to Ed when he was busy tuning his guitar, Ali let on that his talent lies in bringing these intricately built-up tracks to life not only in record form but in translating them for the live shows too, choosing to ask ChatGPT for some ‘on-stage banter in the style of Novo Amor’ to fill the gaps.

Truthfully, as much as both parties said they were ‘not good at this kind of stuff’, he did a good job at handling the short lulls between songs by letting people ask questions, daft or not, as well as making sure water got to those feeling faint in the hot room. Everyone was fine, don’t worry.

In fact, when one girl seemingly passed out nearer to the front of the crowd as he came towards the end of fan favourite Halloween (you have no idea how gorgeous that song sounds with a full room of people singing it back, by the way), he still managed to check on her whilst quietly playing the outro. A total pro.

Those were the three key letters here in every sense the more we think about it; be it the effortless professionalism in recreating what you hear in your headphones down to the tee and then some live, or the production levels and simple but striking set design behind them, it was verging on surreal.

  • Manc institutions Matt and Phred’s and Jimmy’s to join forces for new live gig series

Another wave of acts has been added to the Green Island Festival 2024 lineup this summer

  • The timeline of Night & Day Cafe’s noise row – including a surprise offer from Matty Healy

We might not have been anticipating such a put-together set and overall level of production both in terms of sound and the often mesmerising visuals but we don’t know why, because we absolutely should’ve.

This is what you get when you put a group of extremely talented musicians and multi-instrumentalists together in one place. They might make highly complex, heavily layered and often delicate sounds with electronics and technology playing a big role, but they also know how to ramp it up for an audience.

All we can pray is that the next time Novo is back in Manchester he brings at least one half of Hailaker along again and maybe a surprise showing from another corner of this collective.

A special shout-out has to go to Ed as well; we have no shame in admitting that watching Ali looking on at his long-term creative partner and mate with a smile as he signed off his time with the live band by belting out the final tune had us welling up.

Matt and Phred's x Jimmy's takeover Manchester

Two much-loved institutions in this city’s legendary music scene and Manchester’s nightlife culture as a whole are set to collide next month for a brand new live event series, throwing a big old party and supporting the industry in the process – who’s ready for Matt and Phred’s x Jimmy’s?

That’s right, two of the very best venues not only for live music but for booze and a bite to eat have recently announced a new collaboration which will see both Manchester city centre spots doing their bit to support local independent business as well as up-and-coming artists.

With the inaugural event in the new series set to take place at the popular jazz bar, gig venue and pizza spot Matt and Phred’s , the team over at Jimmy’s will be lending a hand to put on a great night of live music this May.

As two of the veritable tastemakers when it comes to the top tunes coming out of 0161, we can’t think of many better places to champion the Manchester music and hospitality crossover than these two.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jimmy's (@jimmys)

Scheduled for 10 May, the Jimmy’s crew are set to work alongside Matt and Phred’s to deliver a mint night of music and Manc nightlife at its finest.

There’s always been a bit of debate as to when the former first opened (most have settled on 1998), but they pride themselves on being “the only true dedicated jazz venue in the North West”, with live performances pretty much every night for the week.

As for Jimmy’s, while they might have had to say goodbye to their original site on the edge of the Northern Quarter and their Liverpool location late last year too, they’ve done a good job of attracting new crowds at their current home on Cutting Room Square in Ancoats .

Hosting rising stars Denver County Council , who recently joined adopted Mancs The Blinders on their UK tour along with Wigan indie four-piece, The Stanleys, we can only hope this will be just the first in a long line of collabs between various local acts and venues.

  • Another wave of acts has been to the Green Island Festival 2024 lineup this summer
  • The timeline of Night & Day Cafe’s noise row – including a surprise cash offer from Matty Healy
  • Liam Gallagher says his son Gene’s band will be opening for him on Definitely Maybe tour

Not only are Denver County Council being tipped for big things, having recently got some airplay on the likes of XS Manchester, but the entire ethos of this new live series is something we can all get behind.

It might start with Jimmy’s x Matt and Phred’s, but backing nightlife and other independent businesses through spotlighting new artists has always been part of the very fabric of this city and the region as a whole, so we’re sure it won’t be long before more names get involved on both sides of the stage.

With tickets setting you back just a tenner, you’d be a muppet not to book this one in for a fun little Friday this April. You can grab yours HERE .

See you there.

As you read this Blink-182 is probably in the middle of their final show of the European leg of their 2023-2024 World Tour.

The sold out excursion has yielded live debuts, sing-a-longs, blistering power punk, the guitarist telling British fans "[expletive] France," no-look drumming, and believe it or not some very touching moments.

blink 182 european tour support act

As you may well be aware, fans are simply lucky to have this incarnation of Blink here, rocking, cursing, and making junior high school jokes at all.

Drummer Travis Barker nearly died in a plane crash that took his musical partner DJ AM's life. Guitarist Tom Delonge quit the trio in 2014 that had sold over 50 million records because "the machine running the band took over. " And in 2021 bassist Mark Hoppus was diagnosed with a type of blood cancer but after chemotherapy is now cancer-free.

blink 182 european tour support act

That near-death experience with Hoppus seemed to have not only brought the band back together physically, but grounded them in being present in the moment, and appreciating what they have which is being part of a group that has meant a lot to a ton of people around the world who are so happy to have them back on stage singing mostly-juvenile songs.

Over the last eight nights, though, the band has been coming out for one more encore after playing over two dozen songs. In that finale, since October 6 in Italy, where it was live-debuted, they perform the tender title track of One More Time .

First Tom sings: Strangers, from strangers into brothers From brothers into strangers once again We saw the whole world, but I couldn't see the meaning I couldn't even recognize my friends Then Mark, who says chemo nearly wrecked his voice sings: Older, but nothing's any different Right now feels the same, I wonder why I wish they told us, it shouldn't take a sickness Or airplanes falling out the sky Then Tom for the dagger: Do I have to die to hear you miss me? Do I have to die to hear you say goodbye? I don't wanna act like there's tomorrow I don't wanna wait to do this one more time

The next lyrics are "I miss you," which sure sounds like a callback to "I Miss You" from their 20 year old untitled fifth studio album.

Despite being so old, the song holds importance to the band because when they reunited at Coachella earlier this year, the first time audiences had seen the lineup they loved since 2014, and "I Miss You" was played, Delong's voice seemed to have gotten choked up.

So the audience supported him by singing the lines with him, " Where are you. I’m so sorry”

"It was so rad when we were at Coachella and everyone sang that one section," Hoppus said recently.

So if you think standing up and singing along to the band doesn't mean anything to them, think again. That launched their tour this year which then led to the forthcoming album, produced entirely by Barker.

Blink comes back to the States in time to co-headline the When We Were Young festival in Vegas alongside their pals Green Day.

Meanwhile, DeLonge has expressed his appreciation for Blink-182’s departing guitarist Matt Skiba – who replaced him in the band in 2015 – in a post on social media.

“I wanted to take a minute and say thank you for all that you have done to keep the band thriving in my absence,” he wrote. “I think you are enormously talented (I still love and listen to your band to this day).

“You have always been so kind to me, not only in the press, but also to others. I really noticed. Emotions between the three of us in blink have always been complicated, but Mark’s cancer really put things in perspective. But to be honest, the band would not even be here today if it were not for your ability to jump in and save the day.”

DeLonge concluded: “So from my heart to yours, thank you for being a member of our band.”

Tom DeLonge has teased that Blink-182’s forthcoming record is “the best album of our career” .

The group’s most recent studio album,  ‘Nine’ , came out in 2019. It was the second record to feature Skiba, following on from 2016’s ‘California’ . Prior to ‘Edging’, DeLonge hadn’t contributed to a Blink project since 2012’s ‘Dogs Eating Dogs’ EP.

Blink-182 Confirms 2023–2024 World Tour, New Music With Classic Lineup Featuring Tom DeLonge

Blink-182  is heading out on a massive world tour in 2023 and 2024 with its longtime lineup of  Mark Hoppus  (bass, vocals), Travis Barker (drums), and Tom DeLonge  (guitar, vocals), the latter of whom has not been involved with the group since 2015. The trio will celebrate the announcement with the release of a new single, “Edging”, on Friday, October 14th.

The new track marks the first output from the Hoppus-Barker-DeLonge Blink-182 lineup since 2011’s Neighborhoods , for which the members largely recorded from different locations amid mounting intra-band tensions. A press release notes that the “Edging” recording sessions were the first time in a decade that the three musicians had been in the studio together.

The tour, touted as the pioneering ’90s/’00s pop-punk outfit’s most ambitious outing to date, will begin in March 2023 with a Latin American run of headlining shows and high-profile festival appearances including headlining sets at  Lollapalooza events in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil .

The band will arrive in the U.S. on May 4th, 2023 for a show in St. Paul, MN before spending May, June, and July frequenting arenas and stadiums across North America. In September, Blink-182 will travel across the pond for 20+ European tour dates before returning the the States to headline the 2023 edition of  When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, NV. Finally, Hoppus, Barker, and DeLonge will round out the global trek with a trip to Australia and New Zealand in February 2024.

Travis Barker solidified the band’s lineup in 1998 after original drummer Scott Raynor  was ousted from the trio due to his struggles with alcohol abuse. Hoppus, Barker, and DeLonge went on to become one of the biggest acts of the late 1990s and early 2000s with albums like 1999’s  Enema of the State , 2001’s  Take Off Your Pants and Jacket , and 2003’s  Blink-182.

DeLonge has left the band on two separate occasions. In 2005, Blink-182 took an “indefinite hiatus” due to the guitarist’s desire to tour less and spend more time with family. During that time, Hoppus and Barker continued to perform together as +44  while DeLonge formed  Angels & Airwaves . Blink-182 re-formed in 2009 for an often dysfunctional reunion stint that ran until 2014. In 2015, DeLonge exited the band once again and was replaced by guitarist  Matt Skiba . Blink-182 has released a pair of successful albums, 2016’s California  and 2019’s  Nine , in the time since DeLonge’s last departure. DeLonge has found new notoriety as a UFO researcher , among other things.

The latest Blink-182 reunion wave began to build when Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer in 2023. When both DeLonge and Barker happened to visit Hoppus at his home at the same time, the three had an impromptu reconciliation. “We got into more life stuff. What we’ve learned over the years about ourselves. How we’ve grown, how nothing really matters when it boils down to what we were dealing with in that moment,” DeLonge told GQ of the chance meeting in a 2021 interview . “And so, it wasn’t some big meeting about Blink-182, it was more about brothers meeting and saying, ‘How do we support Mark?’”

Hoppus’ chemotherapy proved to be successful. In September 2021, he announced in an Instagram post that he was cancer free. On Halloween he appeared during Barker’s  House of Horrors livestream for his first live performance since his diagnosis .

Never a band to shy away from innuendo, Blink-182 revealed its latest reunion and new track via a pharmaceutical commercial-style video all about how “they’re gonna come.” The end of the video also features a snippet of “Edging”, though it appropriately does not play to completion.

Blink-182 is an American pop punk rock band from San Diego, California in 1992. The group has consisted of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, Travis Barker and Scott Raynor. The group has sold over 35 million albums worldwide.

Blink-182 came to prominence in the early 90s punk scene in California where their energetic shows made them a hit with crowds. The group was signed to independent label Cargo Records where they released their debut album “Cheshire Cat”. While the album was not commercially successful, it picked up a lot of buzz and is considered an iconic pop punk album of the time.

The buzz generated by this first album caused a bidding war between multiple mainstream labels and the band eventually signed with MCA. Drummer Scott Raynor’s disagreement with this decision contributed to his drifting from the band and he was eventually fired in 1998 and replaced by Travis Barker.

With the new record label and new line up settled, Blink-182 released “Enema of the State” in 1999 and quickly rose to fame with singles “Adam’s Song”, “All the Small Things” and “What’s My Age Again?” all receiving regular airtime on MTV. The album was the band’s most successful release to date and went to number 9 on the US Billboard chart.

The stress of constant touring and promotion as well as differences about where the band should go with their next album boiled to a head and caused the band to go on an indefinite hiatus in 2005. After Travis Barker was involved in a serious plane crash, the group reunited in 2008 and went on to start work on their sixth studio album, “Neighborhoods”, which was released in 2011 and charted at number 2 in the US.

Blink-182 has cited The Ramones, The Cure and The Vandals, amongst others, as influences for their music, but the reality is that Blink-182 are massive influencers and inspirations for musicians all around the world. The band inspired the second wave of pop punk music in the new millennium and also single-handedly bought this music into the mainstream. For this reason, their music will certainly live on for generations.

Live reviews

Well let me start off by saying that this was my first rock concert that I have ever been too. It was amazing, the sound was amazing and they were amazing. I've always liked Blink-182 because they were kind of more on the "nice" side of rock. Not like heavy metal. When they performed in Phoenix, the opening acts were A Day To Remember and All Time low. I am not sure if that is the same for everyone. If you don't like heavy metal than I would suggest skipping the All Time Low act. Also, don't be in a rush to go to there concert because I got there at 6:00, the doors opened at 7:30. They started playing around 9:30. So its okay if you were a little late.

Sexual jokes;

They do make jokes about sex... A lot of jokes about sex and some of them are worse than others. But the only people who made jokes were the opening acts.

There is DEFINITELY a lot of cursing. But what do you expect? It's a Blink-182 concert.

When I went there we sat pretty close to the stage. The pit is a little crazy but nothing to bad. There will be a lot of drugs, smoking, and alcohol there. I sat behind a guy that was totally drunk and there are people smoking EVERYWHERE.

If your child is 9 or younger, Please leave them home, it's just not safe. And if it means that you can't go to the concert, than just stay home. It's better to be safe than sorry.

If your child is 10-14, I think they should go with a parent/guardian.

If your child is 15-16 I would say, make sure they have some adult supervision available to them if they ever got in an emergency.

If your child is 17+, I think they will be fine depending on how mature they are.

It's not worth it. You go to a five minuet sound check and for the meet and greet, you don't even do anything. It's just not worth spending your money.

Even though the VIP is a rip off, I would still, highly suggest you go to there concert, it was phenomenal.

WAIT FOR IT !!!........... LIL WAYNE cancelled just hours before the show (rolling my eyes) so needless to say happy we showed up at 9pm because instead of lil wayne the fans were entertained by music mashups of rock and rap (crappy mix ups by the way) and music by the backstreet boys or n sync not sure which boy band it was but i was super annoyed when i heard the near sold out crowd singing along of "i want it that way" really crappy song but all these idiots were singing along like it was 6th grade but on to the positive blink 182 put on a great set for a whole 60 minutes yep 1 hour started at 9:30 was done by 10:30 great set pyro, smoke, cool video stage set up NO TOM DELONGE some new guy not his fault he played great but it wasnt teb same he didnt really sound like TOM so it was like blink 182 karaoke for some of the songs and the short set time I mean shit lil wayne doesnt show these guys could have saved the day and played longer but in typical rock star fashion they charged full price for tickets delivered half of a show and a short set disapointed much ? YEAH I WAS hate to say it but I mean it wasnt a 20 dollar ticket here tickets were not cheap but the amount of entertainment vs the amount paid for the ticket was not EQUAL felt pretty ripped off as a whole save your money this go round NOT WORTH THE CASH plus we drove 4 hours to go to this show so a few hundred dollars later we got and hour of a headliner entertainment hell KISS are 70 years old and played for 2 and a half hours the tickets were pricey but hell they were showmen and lots of fire, pyro, smoke, fireworks, ect stunts elevating risers ect so you tell me if its worth it to go see 40 year old entitled punks vs 70 year old vets who are doing a cash grab no doubt but are still delivering an experirience

Blink 182 has been my favorite band as a kid back in ‘96 when I first heard of them and will always be. I finally got to see them live for the first tine ever in 2016, 20 years later because they came close to my hometown in Greenville, SC. Then about 3 months later to my actual hometown in Charleston, SC. I was close to the middle up front and had the time of my life. I thank the whole band for making one person’s dream come true just to see you live. I’ve always wanted to meet Mark and Travis!! I was so like it’s cool when Mark tried to throw me a pick but it landed short and he apologized and he Ent on with the show. But my heart filled up with joy when, in my opinion, the greatest drummer in the whole universe, Travis Barker!!!!, acknowledged me when I gave him a thumbs up. Wish I could meet and talk to then!! A dream for a lifetime. Blink 182 you will always be number 1 to me and hold a special place in my heart as you do to millions of fans!! Love you all and can’t wait for the bext album!! Including Mark’s new band aka The Side Piece. Mark if you ever read this’ please don’t take offense to the comment. Blink 4 Life!! Peace...

Think early 2000s fashion, baggy jeans, chains, and terrible hair, ‘say it ain’t so, I will not go, turn the lights off, carry me home’. This song takes me right back to my young teenage self, jumping round my bedroom with a hairbrush as a microphone. Back in 2012 when I got asked if I would like to go and see Blink-182 live, I thought, sure!

Although my enthusiasm for them had somewhat dwindled over the last decade, it’s always fun to have a bit of a throwback and that’s exactly what I was hoping for when I went to their London O2 Arena concert. Even from the upper tier of the arena, the sound quality was amazing and as they game out on stage they began playing ‘Feeling This’ over the tumultuous sound of a cheering arena crowd.

The atmosphere was fuelled by the incredible set of the album cover and laser lights dancing across the stage and out towards the audience. As the show progressed, they began singing more and more classic, culminating in ‘All the Small Things’, which is what everyone was desperate to hear.

They really did put on a fantastic show, great vocals, performance, and energy, I’m so glad I went.

There's not much to say about a Blink-182 live show apart from the fact it must be seen to be believed. Having been pioneers of the pop/punk revival of the 90's, Blink have a huge string of cult hits and a fan base of all ages who continue to fill out their shows with no sign of slowing down.

The cheers are raised as the band confidently take to stage, running around, laughing, joking from the offset as if they were about to start a garage jam session rather than entertain thousands. This air of carelessness carries on as Blink are not a band who take themselves seriously during performance, during mass singalongs to 'What's My Age Again' they are often jovially moving around stage and baiting the crowds below.

The act does get a little relentless as it can feel as if the band hasn't really grown up since its formation. Although there are moments of sincerity in the form of 'I Miss You' and a well performed cover of 'Hybrid Moments' by Misfits. 'All The Small Things' obviously receives the best reaction, and the performance of this cult anthem is incredibly fun.

Took my 2 songs (20 & 16). Wanted to see both Frank Turner - who I've seen loads - and Blink

Managed to get access to O2 Priority & use their cloakrooms & loos before going into the Arena.

Frank T & The Sleeping Souls as always nailed it. How often do you see a support act crowdsurf

Then onto Blink. Stsrted with a bang literally. Flag dropped to reveal a firey F U C K behind the band.

From then they took us through a mixture of new songs for California (Bored to Death, Kings of the Weekend, Los Angeles + others) & old classics (Feeling This, I Miss You, Reckless Abandon, All the Small Things, Dumpweed & Dammit to name a few). Check out the setlist at setlist.com

Throughout the set we have flames, smoke burst, amazing graphics, firework waterfall and of course an end of set confetti canon

Travis' drumming was amazing & night finishing with his son performing a drum solo

A great night was had by all

Show exceeded expectations and was THRILLED we didn't have to listen to Lil Wayne - bonus. Thanks to St. Louis for helping to move him on his way to the next venue. Loved hearing Enema of the State in its entirety. Wish they had included Always but the other added songs were great as well. I thought Matt sounded great and thoroughly enjoyed a couple of the songs from California and NINE. Sad no encore but had a total blast singing along and dancing. Super charged stage show and Travis' drum solo was amazing but never long enough for me! (I'm sure plenty long for him - what a work out!) Neck Deep also put on a great performance. They are a GREAT opening act for Bink. Thanks for the show - and long lasting memories.

Best day of my whole entire life. These guys can rock the hell out of you. Amazing performance, amazing song list, amazing audience and atmosphere. When you see what Travis Barker does on the drums you are standing there with your jaw dropped and cannot believe it. I was a bit aftaid that the sound was going to be exactly like on the videos with Tom singing but no! This guy sings great and Mark too. Not a single problem with the sound. I loved in particular Rock Show, Always, Small Things, First Date and Down. Every time these guys are in town - just go there without thinking. We're atually very close to going to Leipzig tonight to see them one more time right away :)

Matt Skiba was filling in for Tom but the band didn't miss a beat all. The show at their old stomping grounds, SOMA in San Diego, was an unforgettable performance. The crowd was filled with a few too many teenagers who were more concerned with snapchatting the band than listening to them, but the band's performance made the show amazing regardless. Mark has enough funny/not-funny one liners to add some humor to the show, but overall it's just an awesome band cranking out the hits, as well as some throwbacks and deeper cuts. I've been a fan of them for 15 years and the show still exceeded all my expectations. I'd relive that show over and over.

The concert was sick! Everyone in the crowd (young, old, boy, girl, hardcore punk rock, or less so) was hype and having a great time! The energy onstage was contagious, you could feel it all through the venue! The lights and pyrotechnics were perfectly timed and kept the liveliness up all night. Blink 182 played an outstanding mix of thier old and new songs. It was crazy, I felt like I was frozen in time. The songs I used to listen to as a kid still make me feel alive. Blink 182 is timeless and they seem to only get better with age. I'm really happy I didn't miss this concert, this was truly one for the books!

They're coming to the UK!

blink-182 fans all over the world are ecstatic at the news that they can relive their formative years, thanks to Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker reuniting with Tom DeLonge! Not only are they bringing out a brand new album... But they're going on a blink-182 tour in 2023 AND coming to the UK!

After the initial tour announcement in October, blink-182 added a further three dates to their trip around the British Isles, and will now perform seven dates across four cities. Here's everything we know about the tour...

Glasgow OVO Hydro – Sat 2nd

OCTOBER 2023

London The O2 – Wed 11th

London The O2 - Thu 12th - EXTRA SHOW

Can I buy tickets?

Unfortunately - and as you'd expect - tickets to the show completely sold out on Kerrang! Radio Tickets within minutes. We'll of course let you know if any more dates are announced!

Who are the support acts?

The group will be supported by special guests The Story So Far on their UK and Europe dates. They're taking Wallows, Turnstile and Rise Against on the road when they visit Latin America, North America and Australia/New Zealand respectively.

Which songs will be on the setlist?

We don't know for sure, but we can speculate that there'll be a good mix of stuff from the new album including new single 'Edging', as well as old favourites like 'All The Small Things' and 'What's My Age Again?'.

Tour dates postponed after Travis Barker's injury

Unfortunately, blink were forced to postpone the very start of their reunion tour throughout South America in March 2023 after Travis severely injured his hand . Taking to Instagram, Travis explained to his followers: "I smashed my finger so hard I dislocated it and tore the ligaments."

Tom then took to the social media site to confirm that they'd be forced to move the dates, telling fans: "This is something that we’ve been aiming to do for so long, and we worked so hard, and we just kind of had one of those freak accidents that nobody saw coming."

blink-182 reunion and new album

The classic trio announced their reunion in October 2022, after going on hiatus in 2005 and returning in 2009 before Tom DeLonge left the group in 2015, being replaced with Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba as a touring guitarist and eventually cementing his place as a vocalist in the group.

Matt's departure from the group has been more than amicable, after Tom reached out to thank him for his time with blink and even sharing promotional material for the new music and tours.

Tom's full message to Matt read: 'I wanted to take a minute and say thank you for all that you have done to keep the band alive and thriving in my absence. I think you are enormously talented (I still love to listen to your band to this day). You have always been so kind to me, not only in the press, but also to others. I really noticed.

'Emotions between the three of us in Blink have always been complicated, but Mark’s cancer really put things in perspective. But to be honest, the band would not even be here today if it were not for your ability to jump in and save the day. So from my heart to yours, thank you for being a member of our band.'

Matt himself posted a nod to the group after his departure, sharing a snap of the band's single 'Edging' with the caption: 'CONGRATULATIONS to the homies @markhoppus @tomdelonge and @travisbarker on their triumphant @blink182 return/reunion and the release of their new single today‼️‼️

'I’m sure there’s a joke in here about releases and happy endings I’m missing but I am truly grateful for my time with blink and I am truly happy you guys are a band and a family again. 💕THANKS TO THE BAND AND ALL THE BLINK FANS FOR HAVING ME. You were delicious! ❤️M.'

After the original announcement , which came after months of teasing from the band , blink-182 added an extra UK date to their tour before adding two more just a few days afterwards due to incredible demand from fans.

Scroll through to see blink-182's career highlights through the years:

blink-182 were formed in 1992, when Tom DeLonge entered a Battle of the Bands competition at high school and met drummer Scott Raynor. After befriending a fellow musician named Kerry Key and his girlfriend Anne Hoppus, she then introduced her brother Mark - and the rest, as they say, is history.

Between 1993 and 1995, the band began recording a lot of music. They released two demo tapes in 1993 - Flyswatter and Demo No.2 - and in 1994 recorded their debut album, 'Cheshire Cat', as well as performing their first big gig. The album was released in 1995 and embarked on their first national tour.

After a lot of touring, blink started work on a second album, and also signed to their first major label - MCA, who also looked after artists like Boston, Alice Cooper, Lynyrd Skynyrd and New Found Glory. The second album, 'Dude Ranch', was released in 1997 and was certified Platinum in the US, spawning singles 'Dammit' and 'Josie'.

In 1998, Scott left the band, and Travis Barker - drummer for the band's tour-mates The Aquabats - stepped in, learning the 20-song setlist in 45 minutes. He joined the band full time in July.

The band released their third album, 'Enema of the State', in 1999 - the first with Travis installed as the drummer. It was their most successful album to date, being certified 5× Platinum in the US and Platinum in the UK. It included singles like 'What's My Age Again?' and 'All the Small Things'.

They spent 2000 touring heavily, which included their first big headline tour, and in 2001 released 'Take Off Your Pants and Jacket'. It had some of blink's most well-known songs like 'First Date', 'The Rock Show' and 'Stay Together for the Kids'. Travis and Tom also formed side-project Box Car Racer with guitarist David Kennedy.

blink went on a co-headlining tour in 2002 with Green Day, and Travis and Tom each spent time on separate side-projects. They returned to the studio in 2003 to make their self-titled fifth album, and co-headline a tour with No Doubt in 2004. Sadly, the trio disbanded in 2005 after Tom DeLonge quit, leaving fans all over the world devastated.

2005-2009: Side-projects

Travis and Mark formed new band +44, whilst Tom announced his own, Angels & Airwaves. +44 was made up of Travis and Mark, as well as guitarists Shane Gallagher from The Nervous Return and Craig Fairbaugh of Mercy Killers. They had successful singles like 'When Your Heart Stops Beating' and 'Cliffdiving'.

Angels & Airwaves

Tom formed Angels & Airwaves with Ryan Sinn, Atom Willard and David Kennedy in 2005, releasing successful singles 'The Adventure' and 'Everything's Magic'. Tom continued to work with the band even when blink reunited in 2009.

Tom, Travis and Mark reunited in 2009 following Travis' involvement in a near-fatal plane crash. He said at the Grammys, "We used to play music together, and we decided we're going to play music together again." They embarked on a Greatest Hits tour and put out sixth album 'Neighborhoods' two years later in 2011.

After 'Neighborhoods' failed to perform as well as expected, the band admitted that it wasn't their "best effort", and split from their label Interscope. Mark told MTV News, "It's a very exciting time here. I feel like our band is in the best place it's been in a long time." They also released an EP entitled 'Dogs Eating Dogs' in December and reveal a seventh album is on the way.

Sadly, the band don't make any progress on the seventh album, and Travis' fear of flying keeps him from being able to tour with the band in Australia, being replaced by Brooks Wackerman. Cracks began to show in the band once again after Travis had a Twitter argument about his no-show in Australia, and Tom and Mark even discussed kicking him out of the band.

Vocalist and guitarist Tom departed the group in 2015, and was replaced by Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba, and the band released seventh album 'California' in 2016. The album, which featured tracks such as 'Bored to Death' and 'She's Out of Her Mind', became their first Number 1 single since 2001 and even earned them a Grammy nomination.

The band spent most of the next two years touring, and also produced a deluxe version of 'California'. They played at various festivals and had a massive UK tour in 2017, and even had a residency at Las Vegas in 2018 entitled Kings of the Weekend.

In 2019, Mark revealed that the band's eighth album was on the way, and was more 'aggressive' and 'darker' than their previous work.

Not only is Mark working on the eighth album with blink, but he has also formed a new group with Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low. Their first EP, 'Strange Love', was released on 29th March.

2020: New single 'Quarantine' and upcoming EP

The trio released brand new track 'Quarantine' on 7th August 2020, all about - you guessed it - their time in the 2020 lockdown. Drummer Travis Barker described the track as "a blink favourite. It'll be like all our fan favourites. It's incredible." Mark also revealed the band would be looking to release a new EP in 2021.

2021: Travis Barker reveals special guests on new blink-182 album

In February, blink-182 drummer Travis Barker revealed the special guest performers on the pop-punk trio's ninth studio album . He said, 'Nine' is "60% done" and it features collaborations with a trio of special guests – serial hitmaker Pharrell Williams, rapper Lil Uzi Vert and electro pop musician Grimes.'

2021: Mark Hoppus reveals cancer diagnosis

In June, vocalist and bassist Mark Hoppus revealed to fans he was three months into a battle against cancer. He posted a statement revealing he felt 'hopeful'. Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge were amongst the many sending their support to Mark.

2021: Mark Hoppus is cancer free

On 29th September 2021, Mark Hoppus announced that his chemotherapy has worked and he's cancer free ! He wrote on social media: "Just saw my oncologist and I'm cancer free!! Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love. Still have to get scanned every six months and it'll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed. Can I get a W in the chat?" Amazing news!

The news every blink fan had been waiting to hear... Original member Tom DeLonge has reunited with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, with the trio announcing a 2023 UK arena tour. The band also released brand new music in the form of their track 'Edging' on 14th October 2022.

In December 2022, Tom teased that a new album would be dropping in 2023, sharing a throwback photo of the band performing alongside the caption: 'New Album Coming in a few months.' This came just a few days after Travis and Mark teased a snippet of 'Anthem Pt.3' - follow-up to fan faves 'Anthem' and 'Anthem Pt.2' which appeared on 'Enema of the State' (1999) and 'Take Off Your Pants and Jacket' (2001) respectively.

Unfortunately, blink were forced to postpone the start of their reunion tour in South America in February 2023 due to Travis Barker's hand injury . Sharing a macabre photo of the swollen ring finger, Barker told his Instagram followers: 'I smashed my finger so hard I dislocated it and tore the ligaments. Less than two weeks later, Barker hurt his hand again and was due to undergo surgery shortly after.

Blink-182 Cancels Two More Of The Band’s Mexico City Shows Reportedly Due To An Ongoing Medical Illness

Flisadam Pointer

Since reuniting at Coachella 2023 , fans of Blink-182 have been itching to catch the band live. Supporters’ wish became a reality when the “ Dance With Me ” musicians announced their One More Time Tour . Unfortunately, the stops in Mexico City haven’t gone down as planned.

Yesterday (April 5), the promoter of the group’s shows in the country revealed that Blink-182’s remaining concerts in the area would not take place. “Dear fans, sadly, Blink-182 shows on April 5 and 6 at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City have been canceled due to illness,” wrote the promoter Ocesa.

The organizer did not provide specifics about the undisclosed alignment. But fans have begun to offer their prayers for the group’s bassist, Mark Hoppus. According to Billboard , Hoppus had been treated for an acute throat infection and severe bronchitis earlier in the month. In 2021, Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer and subsequently underwent chemotherapy . Of the four booked concerts (April 2 through 3 and 5 through 6), only one show was held (April 2).

On April 3, Hoppus allegedly took to the group’s Discord channel to issue a statement. “We don’t take canceling lightly. We know people booked flights and hotels, made plans, and got babysitters,” he wrote. “We had multiple lengthy discussions all morning within the band with promoters and managers. We tried moving the date and tried every possible solution, but this is the reality. We appreciate your understanding and support.”
