ATEEZâs âThe Fellowship: Break The Wallâ world tour first kicked off in Seoul, South Korea in October 2022, three months following the release of their ninth mini-album âThe World Ep 1: Movementâ and its lead single âGuerrillaâ.
The boyband have since toured North America, Europe and Japan, and recently held two encore concerts in Seoul, as well as four encore shows in Japan. At the second day of their Seoul encore show on April 29, ATEEZ announced that they would be making a comeback in June.
Their most recent release was last Decemberâs â Spin Off : From The Witness â, led by the single âHalaziaâ. That record also included remix versions of previously released B-sides âWinâ, âIâm The Oneâ and âTake Me Homeâ.

ATEEZ, K-Popâs Resident Pirates, Arenât Dropping Anchor Any Time Soon
The eight-member groupâs recent London concert was pure excellence.
At Londonâs O2 arena on Feb. 22, darkness engulfs a packed crowd of thousands, leaving just a constellation of illuminated light sticks patterned across the room. A flood of red lights then spotlight the eight members of ATEEZ, the first fourth-generation K-pop group to headline the iconic venue.
Dressed in cloaks that cover them head to toe, they walk from the main stage to a second one near the center of the room, striding with a measured intensity that says they know everyone is waiting for a big release. As the opening bars to their Earth-rattling song â New World â starts, one by one the membersâ faces are lit up by neon tube lights, each to an eruption of ear-ringing screams by fans (fondly dubbed by the group as ATINY).
The concert then kicks into high gear with pyrotechnics and light shows as the group commands its dancers with puppeteer-level control until their cloaks are shed and they stand face-on, resolute in their power. Itâs a feat of production, a thrilling assault on the senses that combines their typically booming musicality with a razor-sharp narrative vision that places them at the center of a fictional anarchist regime. This sensory overload is a far cry away from the first time they performed in the city in 2019, in a venue with about one-10th the capacity for fans.
A few days before the concert over a conference table, all eight members â ââHongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho â sharply dressed in dark and tan suits, break out in a chorus of âwhoasâ and âaaaahsâ as I show them a badly taken video in my Instagram archive from the rafters of that first London show. It captures them occupying the small stage alone in matching white shirts, performing with the kind of synchronized ferocity that has earned them a record legion of fans in the short time since. There are no backing dancers, no 40-foot screens showing them in close-up and no fireworks, except the ones they create themselves. All there is is ATEEZ, introducing themselves to fans with the same sentiment theyâd open their biggest European tour to date with four years later: âHello, world.â
âI'm still nervous before I perform onstage,â says Hongjoong, the intuitive leader of ATEEZ who takes on the responsibility of steering most of our conversation. Reflecting on those initial smaller gigs, he says âwe have grown up so much and we are now so comfortable when fans see us onstage, but I think thereâs the same mindset from back then because we still want to show more things.â He says a constant desire to get bigger and better keeps them hungry. âAt the shows, I always think that I want to be back here to see fans again, but if we want to do that work, we have to try harder. So itâs the same mindset.â
That first world tour came just five months after the group debuted in late 2018 with dual singles â Pirate King â and â Treasure ,â proving that conquering the world was never just intended to be kept within the confines of their overarching pirate-themed concept. Despite a global pandemic halting the ability to travel and even perform in front of live audiences at home, ATEEZ have barely slowed down their expansion. Through songs like 2020âs â Inception ,â 2021âs â Fireworks ,â and last yearâs explosive â Guerilla ,â which their current world tour is inspired by, theyâve grown not only in tone but in popularity, pioneering a sound replete with as much passion as melodiousness and which has translated to millions of views on YouTube and spots on global music charts. Itâs also tangibly materialized in their ability to fill arenas wherever they decide to tour and a secure place in the global conversation about K-popâs global boom.

Since 2022, much of ATEEZâs time has been spent on the road, first with The Fellowship: Beginning of the End and now The Fellowship: Break the Wall. Both names are a nod to their pirate roots and the idea of taking on the world together as a unit. Theyâve done so much traveling, in fact, that when asked whether there was anything theyâd like to see in London while theyâre here, they joke theyâve already seen most of it from the number of times theyâve been. (A walk across Abbey Roadâs iconic crosswalk, a Chelsea FC game, and, for Wooyoung especially, a trip to the Harry Potter studio remains on their to-do list. âItâs the third time Iâve failed to do it so next time Iâll book tickets before I leave Korea,â Wooyoung sighs.)
Gaps in their intense touring schedules have also been filled with musical releases like EPs, standalone singles, music videos, and music show performances in South Korea. Such a packed diary could make it hard to stay motivated or think ahead creatively, but the members each have different ways to combat that burnout. âI search my name on social media,â says Seonghwa. âSo many ATINYs give encouraging words, and thatâs how I get my support.â Next to him, Wooyoung echoes, saying, âeven if itâs hectic and we have one thing after another, we know that there are ATINYs who have been waiting even longer to see us.â He also adds that he enjoys when heâs recognized in the street on tour, as it reinforces the reality that heâs a famous singer who has a responsibility to keep pushing himself for fans.
View on Instagram
âI get inspiration from games, animation, and things Iâm doing online,â Yeosang says, pointing to fan art interpretations of himself and the group on social media. âI see ATINYsâ drawings, and that gives me inspiration. If I see something I like, I try to make it happen onstage and make it look as good.â
âTheyâre so fast!â Hongjoong enthusiastically chimes in about their fansâ art, âand they make us look cooler, so we try to copy the outfits.â Yunho laughs next to him, calling ATINY the groupâs new stylists.
Honjoong then dives into his own inspiration, as someone who composes much of the groupâs music. âI always say to many people that my role model is David Bowie as he always tried so many creative things, so I try to get inspiration from everything. Like, even in our interview, if I get new praise or hear a good sentence, I write it down in my [phone] memos so that I can continually be creative.â
The constant desire to push forward and improve is palpable within ATEEZ, a group whose creative mental exertion is matched only by the sheer amount of physical labor they exercise on stage. Barely a moment during their set, which is packed with more than 20 songs spanning their almost five-year discography, is spent not doing some kind of energy-expending choreography. Here, the intersection of tiredness and adrenaline converges as the group tries to balance getting enough rest with the thrumming afterbuzz of performing to a room of thousands.
âItâs different for every member,â Yunho says about their post-concert wind-down. He says he likes to play games on his phone or scan the Internet, which is the same for Jongho, who called his cellphone his greatest essential when going out on tour. But theyâve recently, as a group, also developed a new way to mellow out that high. âAfter a show, we immediately get on the tour bus and ask it to just drive us around,â says Hongjoong. âWe usually talk about our show, the mistakes we made, or sometimes weâll joke and talk about the parts that were really good and that we should try again. We like to review the show.â
With their mind on performing while onstage and, seemingly, offstage too, youâd be forgiven for thinking the eight members have little time to dedicate to their own well-being. However, despite their constant churn of output, which includes new music coming at an unspecified time later this year, theyâve each focused on hobbies and goals coming into 2023.
Jongho immediately and enthusiastically says that he wants to take up golf more when he gets back to South Korea, while Yunho and Yeosang want to improve their gaming. San says he wants to start playing volleyball but needs to convince others to join him: âIâm alone,â he says as the room laughs, âso I need some friends.â
The group also just realized Wooyoung and Mingi have a knack for bowling after a group trip during a recent tour stop in Germany. âThey were so good! We were so surprised,â says a bewildered Hongjoong.
As for Hongjoong, whom ATINY also call Captain, he wants to showcase more of his photography. âLast year, I did an exhibition of film photos, so I want to do that again this year,â he says, adding, âI try to take a picture everywhere [we go].â
Everywhere they go feels like a prophecy waiting to be fulfilled by ATEEZ. Their lore has always centered around the idea of travel, be it as pirates coursing the seas in their debut to dimension-hopping in a search for utopia in the connecting storylines of their music videos. In everything they create, there is always an eye for what they can lay claim to next.
After their show, as Iâm led backstage to chat with them one final time, the group enthusiastically waves me off, saying âsee you next time!â â which sounds more like a commitment than anything else. The post-pandemic era of ATEEZâs journey has really just set sail.

ATEEZ Do It All for the Fans
By Jae-Ha Kim
About half an hour after the Korean pop group ATEEZ finish an exhilarating concert at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena, the eight members of the group are probably exhausted. After all, they’ve just spent nearly three hours executing beautifully choreographed dance moves for 23 songs drawn from their four-year career. Management apologetically requests that no photos be taken backstage, because the members may look a bit disheveled. It is true that some of their stage makeup has worn off. But all that does is accentuate their runway-worthy bone structure and flawless skin: They look even better in person than in the meticulous concept photos that accompany each album release.
“We have released over 100 songs, so it was a little hard to select songs for our show,” ATEEZ leader Hong Joong says. “We wanted to show a different vibe than before. So we thought about it and picked songs to show a different side to ATEEZ.”
Editorâs picks
The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.
“The concept for that album will be a bit sexier and smoother,” Woo Young says.
It has now been three weeks since ATEEZ kicked off The Fellowship: Break The Wall . During that time, the group performed two nights in Seoul before heading to the United States to kick off the North American leg of their tour. In between their shows in Arizona and Texas, the band flew to Santiago, Chile, to perform at the Music Bank K-pop festival. They had just enough time to change into their stage clothes and sprint to the stage, only to learn that the festival was being canceled midway due to inclement weather.
“We felt so bad that we couldn’t perform for our fans,” Woo Young says. “There were some fans crying. We were grateful that they waited for us and did our best to cheer them up.”
How Peggy Gou Became the Coolest DJ in the World
Le sserafim's world-conquering moment is almost here, justin timberlake debuts new 'nsync track 'paradise' and performs with coco jones at los angeles show.
We conduct this interview in Korean, with the exception of Hong Joong, whose foreign language skills have improved so much that he converses with me primarily in English. After his bandmates proudly point out how well he speaks English, Hong Joong smiles shyly and says, “I studied a lot for this interview.”
Dressed casually in black or grey shirts and various degrees of ripped jeans, the group leans forward when I ask if there’s anything on their mind that they’d like to talk about. Perhaps Jong Ho’s song “Gravity,” which is featured prominently in the new K-drama “Reborn Rich”? Or their 2019 song “Say My Name” re-entering the music charts? Or maybe Hong Joong’s film photography exhibition From November 7, 1998 ?
That’s all good and fine, but Seong Hwa has more important matters on his mind.
“It’s already Nov. 17 in Korea, so it’s ATINY’s birthday,” he says. “We would like to thank them. Because of their four years of love and support, we are able to be where we are now.”
Woo Young adds, “We will continue to work hard to be artists that you can be proud of.”
K-pop idols and their fans have the kind of symbiotic relationship that’s easy for naysayers to mock. But at its purest level, it is sweetly innocent and a source of comfort. They look out for each other, with fans reporting sasaengs — obsessive fans who are more like stalkers — and artists conveying their affection and encouraging altruistic behavior.
About 20 minutes after the start of their sold-out concert at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena, Hong Joong looked out into the crowd and made a plea. He asked fans to be mindful of each other’s welfare: Don’t push each other, summon security if anyone is in distress, and stay safe. He promised that the group would move around the entire stage so that everyone would get a good view of them.
Madeline Hirata was in Itaewon during the tragedy and says she contemplated not attending the show, because she was overwhelmed by what she had witnessed. But ultimately, the college senior says the kindness of the group and being surrounded by other fans helped her navigate this difficult time.
“After their first song, Hong Joong spoke in Korean, which was then quickly translated into English,” says Hirata, a student at Ewha Womans University. “He said something to the effect of, ‘We would like to recognize the lives lost in Itaewon yesterday with a moment of silence.’ The acknowledgement about Itaewon were the only words translated into English that night. I remember how deafening the silence was in the arena. Then and even now, I still have trouble processing that I was so close to the events that occurred the night before. But in that moment of silence, I truly felt the weight, grief and trauma of the situation. I felt quite emotional at how quiet the arena had become and appreciative that ATEEZ had recognized the awful event. I felt a bit selfish and guilty as someone who was in Itaewon that night, but having ATEEZ pay tribute in some way allowed me to enjoy the night, the music, and the band that I absolutely love.”
The restorative power of ATEEZ’s music is something ATINY talk about often. Mental health experts, too, say that a collective musical experience can provide relief in the aftermath of a horrific event.
“It is an understatement that music heals,” says Joy Lieberthal Rho, a LCSW counselor at the Juilliard School. “Music moves people to tears of joy and release. The communal aspect of a concert, no matter the genre, is also incredibly powerful. To be in the company of others, giving and receiving emotions through song or melody, can give a sense to anyone that they are not alone — that they don’t have to suffer alone.”
I ask ATEEZ if they ever feel burdened by the pressure of knowing that so many of their fans analyze their lyrics.
Yun Ho adds, “When we work on our music, we do think about how ATINY will feel when they hear our songs. Honestly, we’re really happy fans are listening to the meanings behind the songs. I feel thankful that our songs can help them in any way.”
By now, it is clear that some members like to talk a bit more than others. They are cognizant of the fact that they don’t each speak equally in interviews and don’t appear at all concerned about who is quoted more. Rather, their theory is that the message they convey is more relevant than who said it. More often than not, it’s Hong Joong — who during this interview politely raises his hand so he doesn’t talk over his bandmates. He takes his leadership role seriously, making sure that the conversation flows.
Still, I know ATINY would like to hear from everyone, so I ask each of them what the future holds for ATEEZ. “We will work as hard and as much as the love we receive from our fans,” San says. “Please look forward to that.”
Yeo Sang pragmatically adds, “Thanks to the love of ATINY, we were able to do two tours in one year! We promise we will give you many more good performances.”
I look over at Jong Ho and ask him a question that has nothing to do with ATINY. Three years ago, he had hoped his travels would take him to England or Spain, where he could watch the Premier League or La Liga in person. Has he been able to do that yet?

The Important Message In Shinedownâs âA Symptom Of Being Humanâ
Weâre Hoping These Songs Make It To The Setlist For TXTâs ACT: PROMISE World Tour!

If thereâs one thing 4th Gen Performance Kings ATEEZ are going to do, itâs perform. The clue is in the name, after all! We were so lucky to see ATEEZ at the London stop of their The Fellowship: Break The Wall World Tour. After having also seen them on The Fellowship: The Beginning Of The End World Tour last year, we were blown away by their growth in such a short time.
If we take it all the way back to 2019, just six months after they debuted, ATEEZ played their first London show at the O2 Kentish Forum, which has a capacity of about 2,300. Then shortly after that, concerts were put on pause for two years, but ATEEZâs profile continued to skyrocket. Their return to London was in April 2022 with two nights at Wembley Arena, with a capacity of around 12,500 fans.
âNew Worldâ
Now, in 2023, ATEEZ anchored on British shores again (does that count as a pirate joke?) for The Fellowship: Break The Wall World Tour. They headlined at the truly iconic O2, with a capacity of 20,000. They are the fourth K-Pop act to perform there, after BTS , SuperM , and BLACKPINK . In fact, ATEEZ are the first 4th Gen artist to ever play the venue.
If these numbers arenât convincing you of ATEEZâs exponential growth, then their performance certainly will. On Wednesday night, they performed hits from their back catalog as well as almost every track from THE WORLD EP.1: MOVEMENT .
Across four outfit and set changes, ATEEZ showcased their full range to a euphoric crowd of ATINY. Aptly opening with âNew World,â ATEEZ transported us into the complicated world of their lore for almost three hours.
@ateez_official_ Letâs get it started in here đ #ATEEZ #ěě´í°ěŚ #믟기 #MINGI ⏠Letâs Get It Started â Spike Mix â The Black Eyed Peas
Itâs pretty fitting that one of the first songs ATEEZ perform is âSector 1.â The track tells the dystopian story of a blank gray city suddenly swallowed by neon lights. We donât know about any dullness, but ATEEZ sure did put on one bright light show! The concert truly began with a bang as the team raced through tracks like âAnswerâ and âHALA HALA.â
The second section of ATEEZâs show sees them indulge in the brighter tracks in their discography, like âIllusionâ and âMy Way.â Complete with giant balloons being passed through the crowd (and occasionally hitting Hongjoong in the head), plus the pirate staging during âWIN,â itâs probably the silliest part of the show. Although, referring to on-stage ATEEZ as silly doesnât feel right when theyâre such complete and utter perfectionists. Off-stage ATEEZ thoughâŚ
We, obviously, have to give a shout-out to âSay My Name.â Itâs been on the setlist for four years, including every time ATEEZ have performed in London, and we doubt it will be leaving any time soon! Itâs the quintessential ATEEZ track, and donât ask us how, but we swear theyâve gotten even better at that iconic choreography.

âGUERRILLAâ
Weâre pleased to confirm that âCyberpunkâ live really is the life-changing moment you think it will be. Weâll truly never recover. This section of the concert is where they truly up the ante, TBH. No moment can compare to an ATINY finally getting to scream âBreak the wallâ at an ATEEZ concert. ATEEZ finished up the main set of The Fellowship: Break The Wall World Tour with âGUERRILLA,â and is there really any other way they couldâve done it?

âCelebrateâ
One of the highlights of the night was undoubtedly ATEEZâs encore. Most of the time, and even at ATEEZâs The Fellowship: The Beginning Of The End , artists take this opportunity to perform ballads or fan songs, which of course, can be a truly beautiful moment. However, ATEEZ know ATINY very well, and whilst we love those softer moments, they also know thereâs arguably one song we wanna hear more than any other.
We got our emotional farewell with tracks like âTurbulenceâ and âCelebrate,â but then things got real . Literally. Our ATEEZ finished their setlist with âThe Real (Heung Version)â and the truly iconic dance break. ATINY can appreciate how ATEEZ seem to really understand exactly what we want! And from 2018 to now, no matter the size of the venue, they always deliver.

Morgan Wallen Kicks Off His One Night at a Time 2024 World Tour in Indianapolis
The country star is set to tour across North American from now until the end of the summer with a handful of special guests
Matt Paskert
"Last Night" was one to remember for Morgan Wallen !
On Thursday, April 4, the country music star, 30, kicked off the 2024 leg of his massive One Night at a Time World Tour with a concert at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
To kick things off, Wallen made a grand entrance alongside sports analyst and former Indianapolis Colts player Pat McAfee, and Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton.
The singer-songwriter, who was dressed in all black and at one point donned an Indiana State University jersey, played 25 songs over the course of the night, including old hits like "Whiskey Glasses," "Chasin' You" and "Up Down," plus newer hits like "Last Night" and "One Thing at a Time."
Bailey Zimmerman, who opened for the star alongside Nate Smith and Lauren Watkins, even joined Wallen for "I Deserve a Drink," off his latest album One Thing at a Time .
After Wallen plays an additional One Night at a Time World Tour show in Indianapolis, he'll play in Oxford, Mississippi later in April and then head to California for a headlining performance at Stagecoach music festival at the end of the month.
In early May, the hitmaker's stadium tour resumes with three shows in Nashville, and then he'll continue performing in cities across North America for the remainder of the spring and much of the summer. The run of live shows will wrap up on Aug. 9 in Las Vegas, and along the way the "Cowgirls" singer will make stops in major markets like Philadelphia, the greater New York City area, Denver and more.
 Christopher Polk/Penske Media via GettyÂ
Wallen is making his live dates extra special this year by bringing along an A-list cast of rotating openers. Each show is set to include three guests, including Bryan Martin , Ella Langley , Jelly Roll, Jon Pardi , Lainey Wilson , in addition to Smith, Watkins and Zimmerman.
2024 marks the second year of the One Night at a Time tour, named for his smash hit third studio album One Thing at a Time , which dropped in March 2023. The "Wasted on You" singer was out on the road for much of 2023, headlining shows from shortly after the album's release through the end of the year.
Amid last year's North American leg in May, Wallen had to postpone a number of dates due to vocal fold trauma , or "excessive and improper use of the voice," according to the National Institute of Health.
One month later, he was granted permission to resume his live show , sharing on Instagram that his doctor had "cleared" him to "talk and sing" again.

Wallen's 2023 album has been among the most successful releases of his career. The effort not only debuted atop the Billboard 200, it held the position for 19 consecutive weeks, making it the longest-running No. 1 country album of all time on the chart.
The record's track "Last Night" reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 â the hitmaker's first song to do so â and went on to garner a nomination for best country song at the 2024 Grammy Awards .

Legendary rock band announces new tour dates after singerâs injury
A fractured larynx and vocal cord damage are no joke for a hard-rock singer to recover from. Especially a 76-year-old frontman with a still-big voice, like Steven Tyler .
Nearly a year after Aerosmith put the brakes on a long-gestating farewell tour just a few shows in after Tyler injured his voice during a Sept. 9, 2023 show at a New York arena, the bandâs about to be, ahem, back in the saddle.
The âPeace Out Tourâ will resume September 20 in Pittsburgh. The 40-date arena tour runs through February 26 in Buffalo and includes a New Yearâs Eve show in the bandâs hometown of Boston. Complete list of tour dates at aerosmith.com .
Aerosmithâs decades of hits include âDream On,â âWalk This Way,â âSweet Emotion,â âBack in the Saddle,â âJanieâs Got A Gun,â âCrazyâ and âI Donât Want To Miss A Thing.â
The band features Tyler, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford and bassist Tom Hamilton.
Unlike many classic rock groups, Aerosmithâs original lineup remained intact through most of their history. However in recent years, original drummer Joey Kramer has been replaced onstage by John Douglas, Kramerâs former drum tech. Buck Johnson , an Alabama native who also tours with Brother Cane and Hollywood Vampires, is Aerosmithâs touring keyboardist/backing vocalist .
Blues-rockers The Black Crowes , known for â90s hits like âJealous Againâ and âRemedy,â are the support act for all dates of Aerosmithâs âPeace Out Tour.â
The Black Crowes previously opened for Aerosmith on the Crowesâ first-ever big tour, back in 1990. Led by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson , on vocals and guitar, respectively, Black Crowes recently released âHappiness Bastards,â their first album of all-original songs in 15 years .
Aerosmithâs classic albums include their 1973 self-titled debut, 1975â˛s âToys in the Attic,â 1976 release âRocks,â 1987 comeback LP âPermanent Vacationâ and â93 mega-seller âGet a Grip.â Aerosmithâs most recent album was âMusic from Another Dimensionâ from 2012.
