I’m Captain Derek and I came to Miami over 30 years ago from the Caribbean island of Trinidad to go to college. I fell in love with Miami and its people and made it my home. As a result I have explored the amazing waters of  Biscayne Bay , The Keys and surrounding areas. Above all we take pride in offering you personalized yacht charters in Miami.

It has always been my dream to share the joy I get cruising these wonderful waters with others. Finally a few years ago I pursued that dream by becoming a captain and acquiring the yacht “Happy Ours”. I hope I can have you aboard to share your favorite time of day and get to know your story.

Highly recommend this boating company! I have rented from multiple boating companies, and this experience was one of the best. We had two captains that ensured we all had the best time! They tracked the radar to make sure we stayed out of the rain. They were also super helpful on the boat with drinks/food/towels/cleaning etc. The level of professionalism was highly appreciated. The boat was also in great condition!

Thank you Miami Boat Experts for the great experience I had. I loved the boat ride and locations we visited. Captain Jessie is clearly a skillful sailor and friendly man. Mate Angie is very attentive: always concerned with keeping her guests comfortable and happy. Between both of them, they make an splendid crew that will make one feel very safe while cruising. I would 100% recommend and look forward to a future trip!

We had the best time with Captain Jesse and Emilio. They took our group of 6 on an amazing tour ending up at sandbar. Several touches such as floaty toys, bottled water, cooler, ice etc. made the trip so much more pleasurable. Not to mention the two beautiful dogs! We had the best time and would highly recommend a trip with these guys. Thanks for the memories!

Great service and great experience, Jesse and his team went beyond making us feel comfortable! We had a great time sailing! We had the chance to see super nice views and stop for swimming in a nice area! I highly recommend using these guys for a boat trip! Totally recommended.

Capitan Paul and assistant Vic put what would have been a perfect experience completely over the top. They were professional, kind and constantly making sure we were well taken care of. We rented the boat for meetings and they made our guests feel welcome and well served. I would highly recommend this team! Of course the boat was beautiful!

I've been on a lot of boats around the world and by far this is my best experience. Jesse, the Captain, made us feel very comfortable in his abilities to maneuver around the city and he was really funny as well. Angie was like a superwoman between being an amazing deckhand and filling every one of our drinks before we even had a chance to ask. Definitely coming back soon!

We are excited to get back to cruising and helping you plan an unforgettable private event on the water in Miami! As we resume rentals for all luxury vessels, please know that the health and well-being of our guests and crew members is our number one priority. We are closely monitoring the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as our local health departments and authorities on the best practices while operating. Our ample yachts feature multiple decks with indoor and outdoor spaces. We will continue to assess, refine, and update our standards to keep you safe as new information is available.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

Social distancing.

• Per current guidelines, our 60” round tables will be set six feet apart for six guests, as opposed to our previous ten, which will offer ample room and additional space between guests.
• Our flow-through dining arrangement will allow us to control the number of guests in the dining area at any one time, as well as the flow to stations, which will limit lines and guest contact.

Employee Requirements

• All employees are required to do a self-check prior to the start of their shift. All staff uniforms will adhere to CDC guidelines. This will include masks constantly and gloves while handling food that will be disinfected/changed for every event.

Cleaning & Sanitation

• We will be providing hand sanitizing stations throughout the vessel, at boarding on the dock, on every deck, as well as near food and beverage areas.
• We will have a specialized team thoroughly clean and disinfect key surfaces and areas before and after each event, with two hours specifically designated to ensure that this task is prioritized.
• To maintain cleanliness throughout the event, cleaning specialists will be tasked with ongoing cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch and common areas, which include but are not limited to handrails, backs of chairs, doorknobs, bars, counters, high tops, low cocktail tables, coffee tables, bathroom sinks, toilet handles, etc. These tasks will be completed per the CDC and Miami-Dade County guidelines.
• Our bathrooms feature ample individual stalls. These areas will fall into our 30-minute cleaning guidelines and will be maintained and serviced by our cleaning specialists. Bathrooms are equipped with disinfectant soap, hand sanitizers, and disposable hand towels.

Serving Procedures

• Glassware, flatware, and tableware will be washed, disinfected, and steam cleaned before and throughout the event. Rolled up flatware and water glasses will be provided for each guest and presented individually at each place setting.
• Welcome drinks are freshly poured upon boarding in sanitized glassware. To curb the need for congregating at the bar or making long lines, our staff will be providing cocktail service to all guests, as well as handing out welcome drinks.
• All food and drinks will be handled, presented, and served to guests to minimize cross-contamination. Butler-passed hors d’oeuvres will no longer be passed. Instead they will be arranged as a station. All platters and food stations will be staffed with an attendant behind plexiglass who will be responsible for personally serving each guest.
• Our new and improved buffet techniques will feature plexiglass to protect the food while guests are served by a gloved attendant. Tables will be called one at a time to prevent crowding. Our existing procedures will ensure that our buffet is staffed to serve guests individually and erase the need for self-service. This measure will prevent serving utensils from coming into contact with any guests.
• Our bread, salad, coffee, and dessert will be served tableside, eliminating the need for self-service. Salt, pepper, and condiments will be individually packaged for each guest.
• If additional steps are required, we are happy to provide them as requested.

SAIL IN STYLE

The Miami Lady is an ideal choice for luxury yacht rentals in Miami for special events or parties with 15-140 guests. The two decks and bow give the boat many different niches to utilize. The top deck can be used for wedding ceremonies, cocktail receptions, bands or a spacious dance floor for those elegant salsa parties, while the bottom deck can seat 55 passengers at once for the main dinner. An 11-day nude cruise is scheduled to set sail from Miami to the Caribbean next February — and you won’t even need an overstuffed suitcase.

Bare Necessities is partnering with Norwegian Cruise Line for the flesh-flashing event, which will see clothing-averse customers travel on board the Norwegian Pearl.

The 968-foot vessel, which can accommodate up to 2,300 passengers, has been renamed “The Big Nude Boat” for the journey.

“As always, it’s our pleasure to provide you with the luxury of deciding what NOT to wear,” a message on the Bare Necessities site reads.

The cruise will make stops in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and St. Maarten, but customers will have to cover up if they disembark the ship to do any sightseeing.

Passengers are also subject to strict rules on board — most notably, they will be required to wear clothing while inside the vessel’s indoor dining rooms.

However, there will be a “large buffet area for nude outdoor dining.”

In order to maintain hygiene, nudists will also need to put a towel down before sitting “in the stateroom, pool deck and buffet area” if they’re baring their bottoms.

Bare Necessities also makes clear that “fondling or inappropriate touching is prohibited.”

Prices for the nude cruise start at around $2,000, but cashed-up nudists can fork out upwards of $33,000 for a deluxe three-bedroom villa.

Bare Necessities has already chartered more than 75 nude cruises in the past, with one prior passenger speaking out about the experience in a recent Reddit post.

“Cruises seem to be for people who like to eat and lie around, so there were a lot of large people,” the 67-year-old man admitted.

“Also, most people don’t seem to be comfortable being nude in public until later in life so the crowd was older. I’d say 20% attractive, 20% average, 60% unattractive,” he added.

"Big Nude Boat" offers a trip to "bare-adise" on a naked cruise from Florida

Like to travel light? One cruise ship soon to set sail from Florida is making sure all you need is the bare necessities – no shoes, no clothes but plenty of service. 

" The Big Nude Boat " will take travelers from Miami to the Caribbean on "an 11-day adventure back to Bare-adise," the website says. Setting sail from Feb. 3 through Valentine's Day 2025, the trip offers a "stress-free, clothes-free experience" during which up to 2,300 passengers can roam the ship in the nude while out at sea.

Passengers won't be allowed to be naked when the ship is docked, but can ditch their usual attire once they are anchored or out on the water. And when clothing is optional, standard nudist etiquette must be abided by, the website says. When sitting, nude passengers must either wear a thong or sit on a towel or some kind of fabric. And while the self-serve buffet on the pool deck is a clothes-free area, passengers must be dressed for all dining room meals – and no, bathrobes don't count. 

Photos and videos will also not be permitted unless all individuals being documented give consent. 

"The Big Nude Boat" is just one of the cruises offered by Bare Necessities, which says on its website that the company has been "working to break down the barriers against social nudity and make clothing-optional vacationing a viable and acceptable option for all." 

"Social nudity is not a sexual activity, and we strive to dispel the misconception that it is anything but natural and beautiful," the company says. "We have made strides in the acceptance of nude vacationing and our wide range of cruise charters are a testament to our success."

Norwegian Jade is an older, smaller vessel that was refurbished in 2022 and features a top deck more conducive to sunning than thrill rides. Both sailings visit six countries with port calls that include George Town, Grand Cayman; Cartagena, Colombia; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Corinto, Nicaragua; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; and Acapulco, Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico. (The second sailing visits San Diego instead of Ensenada.)

The property currently houses a nearly 10,000-square-foot home with four bedrooms, eight bathrooms and two pools, according to Zillow . It is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway in the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club, at 2499 E. Maya Palm Drive.

The sale, made on April 30, “speaks to the strength of the luxury market,” said selling broker Jon Mann, of the Jills Zeder Group at Coldwell Banker Realty. Before this, the highest sale price was made in January for a home in The Sanctuary of Boca Raton for $29.5 million.

The home was built in 1997, according to county records, and this is the first time it’s being sold, said Jill Hertzberg, another selling broker.

In 2023, the market value was about $35.6 million.

The buyer likely plans to rebuild on the property, Hertzberg said, either with an entirely new mansion or even two.

“This particular property was the trophy property in the community,” Mann said. “It’s got over 400 feet of waterfront.”

The site, which is more than 1.5 acres, has the potential for a more than 20,000-square-foot home, said Scott Gerow, the director of luxury sales for the CBG Luxury Team at Compass in Boca Raton. He was not involved in the sale.

“The sky’s the limit,” he said.

Gerow pointed out how because the buyer plans to rebuild, the $40 million was essentially for the land value alone.

That sale price is “an extraordinary number,” he said. “It puts Boca Raton on a very, very, very exclusive map for properties that command that kind of a price tag.”

He added: “We’re starting to get into Palm Beach Island and Miami Beach numbers when you put it into that perspective. So, I think that’s incredible for the city.”

And even for Boca Raton, a city whose homes at times can hit seemingly unattainable prices, this recent sale is still significant. In the past, new-construction homes have sold for anywhere from $22 million to $28 million, but this sale exceeds that.

“We have had very high price homes and yes, I think that trend will continue, but certainly nothing even close to this,” Gerow said.

Nude cruise to set sail from Miami in 2025

MIAMI – Cruisers will be able to go bare on “The Big Nude Boat” with an itinerary to set sail from Miami in 2025.

The travel company Bare Necessities is teaming up with Norwegian Cruise Line to launch an 11-day voyage from Miami to the Caribbean.
