Hallo daar Je realiseert je dat je onzin uitkraamt, er valt van mijn kant niets meer tegen je te zeggen omdat je je verschuilt achter onzin, excuses maakt en het probeert te verkopen. Kom niet naar me toe met een belachelijk excuus.

Zonet een boeking gemaakt, een uur later krijg ik een e-mail dat de vlucht niet geboekt kan worden en dat er geen geld van mijn rekening zal gaan. Ik bel voor de zekerheid en ze garanderen me dat er geen geld zal worden afgenomen. Dus ik boek een andere vlucht via een andere site. We zijn nu drie uur later en ik zie dat het geld toch van mijn rekening gegaan is. Degoutant.

Wat een geweldig bedrijf

Wat een geweldig bedrijf. Wij wilde langer blijven in Bali. Via de chat gevraagd wat het koste om de terugvlucht te verlengen. Voor 40,00 euro per persoon kon onze ticket aangepast worden. Binnen een half uurtje was alles geregeld. Vervolgens hadden wij onverwachts luchthaven assistentie nodig. Vanaf Denpasar vlogen wij naar Doha en vanaf daar naar Amsterdam. De rolstoel met medewerker stond klaar bij het inchecken. Geweldig geregeld door Mytrip.

Klantendienst

Verkeerdelijk geboekt (familiale redenen). Binnen het uur na boeken met iemand kunnen spreken van klantendienst die alles regelde voor mij. Herboeken ging niet (en ook annulatieverzekering via de Mastercard kon niet gebruikt worden wegens geen ziekte), moest eerst de vlucht annuleren. Normaal geen zekerheid tot terugbetaling dan maar door klantendienst zo snel geholpen en kunnen annuleren en alles nog geen 48u later netjes op mijn rekening terug. Fantastische klantendienst!! Hier boeken we nog!!

OPLICHTERS, BELOVEN GELD TERUG TE BETALEN EN GEVEN NIKS!!! BOEK NOOIT VIA MYTRIP!!!

De bagage van mijn vlucht (IN SEPTEMBER) werd geannuleerd. Toen kreeg ik een mail dat ik het bedrag teruggestort zou krijgen op mijn rekening. Ik ontving later een bedrag maar dit was €0,06 in plaats van €60. Ik heb diverse malen contact met ze opgenomen en elke keer zeiden ze dat ze ernaar zouden kijken en dat ik geduld moest hebben en ik het geld echt nog wel zou ontvangen. Intussen zijn we een halfjaar verder en heb ik nog steeds niks gekregen. Ik ben simpelweg opgelicht en baal hier ontzettend van.

Waardeloos bedrijf!

Vlucht werd gecanceld in dec2023. Ik heb toen meerdere malen contact met myTrip opgenomen en gevraagd naar vervangende vlucht of geld terug. Ze gaven steeds aan we bellen u terug als we meer weten. Ik ben tot de dag van vandaag niet teruggebeld, geen bericht, geen geld retour, geen andere vlucht toegewezen of uberhaupt te woord gestaan. De gecancelde vlucht is inmiddels meer dan 3 maanden geleden. BOEK NIET BIJ MYTRIP!!

Makkelijk geboekt

Makkelijk geboekt, direct een bevestiging en gebeld voor assistentie, alles keurig geregeld. (als het goed is 😀 dat kan ik pas na de reis zeggen! Nu 1week later : het was allemaal prima ze hebben vanuit het vliegtuig laten weten dat we moesten blijven zitten voor de rolstoel hulp die kwam bij aankomst op Shanghai en brachten ons keurig naar de vervolg vlucht naar Thailand en daar werden we weer opgehaald van het vliegtuig tot de uitgang bij de taxi super geregeld dus.

Vanwege de hoeveelheid slechte reviews toch met buikpijn de geboekt reizen, tweemaal retour amsterdam-hanoi op verschillende data, afgewacht. Net terug en alles, ook de informatievoorziening, is goed verlopen. Ook het online inchecken verliep goed maar was wat complexer. Daarom 4 ipv 5 sterren.

Alles ging naar wens

Geboekt via My trip en alles ging goed, zelfs in de app met de e-tickets en alles. Telefoon erbij, bagage afhandeling en inchecken ging goed. Alleen gebruik gemaakt van mijn flexible ticket, daar ik een weekje langer wilde blijven. Alles per mail bevestigd, alleen niet in de app. Valkuil is als je dan aankomt bij de bali, er kosten worden gerekend voor het aanmaken van een ticket door de vliegmaatschappij. Je moet dan zelf creatief worden om een e-ticket te verkrijgen, want ik heb om een uodate gevraagd op mijn app, helaas tot op heden nog niet ontvangen. Overal erg tevreden alleen je moet zelf ook op de hoogte zijn van deze valkuilen, om niet voor onverwachte kosten komen te staan. Extra aanvulling: Vandaag ontdekt dat Mytrip niet kan inzien welke opties men heeft genomen bij de aanschaf van een vliegticket. Ik heb de optie dat hun voor mij zouden inchecken genomen en nadat ik vandaag weer contact met hun opnam, omdat ik geen e-ticket had ontvangen van hun, en ze mij mededeelde dat ikzelf moest inchecken op het vliegveld, heb ik aangegeven dat ik hiervoor heb betaald dat My trip mij zou inchecken. Ik kreeg direct een bevestigings mail van hun dat ze dit alsnog zouden regelen voor mij. Dus vermeld duidelijk deze informatie als men contact op neemt met Mytrip.

Zaterdags contact gehad via de chat…

Zaterdags contact gehad via de chat over het terug ontvangen van geld van onze geannuleerde vlucht. Er werd snel gereageerd, een en ander werd gecontroleerd en in nog time had ik bericht dat mijn geld terug gestort ging worden. Ik dacht gezien de recensies, ik ben benieuwd!! Ik was dan ook stomverbaasd toen ik maandag op mijn rekening keek. Het geld stond er al op!!

My Trip! Geen extra services bijkopen! Je krijgt er alleen maar meer werk en problemen door!

Bij een boeking extra betaald om voor mij in te checken. Beide keren hebben ze geen enkele moeite gedaan en heeft het voor heel veel problemen gezorgd. Naar Vietnam konden ze niet voor mij inchecken vanwege strenge eisen. Dat hadden ze me meteen kunnen mededelen. Voor de terugvlucht stond er window Seats op mijn ticket, maar hadden me ingecheckt zonder dit mee te nemen. Wilde dat ik er €49 extra voor betaalde. Na drie chats met verschillende mensen werd de verwarring alleen maar groter, wat zeer veel onnodige stress gaf. Uiteindelijk heb ik via de luchtvaartmaatschappij zelf zonder problemen en extra kosten kunnen regelen. Aangezien ik geen klachtenformulier kan vinden op hun site, doe ik het op deze manier. Mijn advies; betaal voor geen enkele aangeboden dienst extra. Ze bieden een waardeloze service waar je uiteindelijk niets aan hebt behalve veel onnodig extra werk.

Na 3 jaar wachten op 2 terugbetalingen…

Na 3 jaar wachten op 2 terugbetalingen sinds de coronatijden, heb ik absoluut geen e-mailmeldingen ontvangen. Maar toen ik mijn boekingen op mytrip.com controleerde, blijkt dat beide terugbetalingen zijn afgerond, hoewel ik geen enkele cent heb teruggekregen. Ik zal ze voor de rechter moeten brengen en een klacht indienen voor fraude bij het Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Milieu en de Belastingdienst om te voorkomen dat dit bedrijf andere mensen in Nederland via hun website bedriegt. Update: MijnTrip reageerde op deze recensie en beweerde een bedrag te hebben terugbetaald. Dit klopt echter helemaal niet. Graag ontvang ik bewijs hiervan.

BOEK GEEN TICKETS BIJ MYTRIP

Na het boeken van een ticket bij Mytrip, kreeg ik aanvankelijk een bevestiging, maar 2 seconden later een foutmelding, met het verzoek opnieuw een reservering te maken. Het bedrag echter, was al wel van mijn rekening geschreven. Dit gebeurde 2x. Dus 2x is ten onrechte een bedrag van mijn rekening geschreven. Wonder boven wonder is 1 bedrag teruggestort. Het 2e bedrag kan ik vergeten. Contact met Mytrip is ontzettend moeilijk. Telefonisch lukt niet. Altijd in gesprek. Via de chat is het ook een gebed zonder end. Al met al duurde het een uur om te moeten horen dat ik het bedrag via mijn bank moet terugvragen, maar de bank kan dat bedrag niet terugstorten omdat ik zelf opdracht heb gegeven. Ik vind het een schandaal. Dus.... ondanks ook de positieve reviews: PAS OP MET BOEKEN BIJ MYTRIP!!!! Je staat werkelijk totaal machteloos als het fout gaat.

Just book with the airline and save yourself some stress.

Yes - read on;

Mytrip claims to be an IATA accredited online travel agency.

They advertise an English helpline number +44 8447747881 but it now appears to us that this is only a front for a Greek company,

Two weeks later the airline changed the first flight making it impossible to make the connection to the second.

When we were notified we immediately requested that Mytrip.com change the flights to a practicable connection.

Despite repeated emails and expensive overseas calls to the Mytrip.com ‘help line’ Iberian Airways tells us that Mytrip.com has not made any request to change the flights .

Iberia Air says that they can not change the flights because Mytrip.com has not requested the change from them.

Iberia Air says that we cannot miss the first flight which now does not exist and just get to Madrid some other way in order to get on the second flight . In other words there is no way we can use the tickets we have paid for.

Mytrip.com does not respond to any of our emails.

And furthermore, apparently an UK 844 number, which their helpline is, is a premium number which returns payment from the cost of the call to the company. (just one phone call cost us 50 euros on hold)

We are now having to find alternative means of transport, of course at greater cost due to the last minute booking.

So much for me thinking IATA accreditation signified anything. If anyone knows of any way we can seek help or contact this company the information would be greatly appreciated.?

“Flight Fiasco: MyTrip's Last-Minute Ticket Cancellation Drama”

Absolutely dreadful experience with MyTrip. Booked my flights from Tel Aviv to NYC with them, only to find out last minute that they've canceled both my outbound and return tickets without any notification whatsoever. Dealing with their customer service for a refund has been a nightmare - they're unresponsive, unhelpful, and seem to have no interest in rectifying their mistake. Avoid at all costs!

I ended up missing my flight (as their was no booking under the information they gave me) and after talking with their customer service they told me they wouldn't do anything and to go buy a different flight. Honestly the worst 3rd party travel sight… DONT USE if I could give 0 stars I would

Absolutely terrible service. Waiting on the line for more than one hour to be picked up. Customer service agents were not helpful at all and it looks like they are not trained to do their job well. They don't know what to do and always give you unhelpful advice to get rid of the call. Later on you realise nothing has happened and you will have to call again. I would never book through them again and would strongly advice to not to use their services. Not trustworthy at all.

Don't buy that cancellation protection! You think it protects your full refund when you need to cancel? You're wrong! Only when you have a medical condition! Their whole website is misleading customers about this! What's worse, the operator arrogantly said to me "Next time you agree to something online, read the terms and conditions yourself. " And the cancellation fee they charge is rediculous! I paid $320 but can only have less than $100 back! Fraud!

Tip for consumers: Don't use it at all. If you must, only use it when you're 100% sure you won't need any changes or cancellation for your trip. And above all, don't buy that Cancellation Protection. It's a fraud! Customer service is rude and horrible.

Absolutely horrendous. I wish I looked at their reviews before I booked with them. My flight kept getting cancelled because of COVID — whenever I would call them to reschedule they kept telling me that I had to contact the airline my flight was book through (Air Tahiti) after being on hold for two hours. This happened twice — I'm never using MyTrip ever again, and I suggest no one else does too

Absolute trash... rebooked tickets of cancelled flight on the summer. The tarif was lower that the original one, so to match The price paid we agreed on the phone to an upgrade, which allowed us to have a suitcase per person... nothing else. I paid a fee and this morning they called me to say it was a mistake, So no suitcase and refund possible. If i take a higher rate i had to pay extra but if lower they keep the money. Real thieves! Never again

On February 9th, 2016, a user of myTrip.com made reservations with them for flights on Iberia Airlines (from Madrid to Lisbon) and Air Nostrum (from Malaga to Madrid). As soon as they booked their flights, Mytrip.com promptly debited their card (travel card).

On the second attempt, two weeks later, the user was unable to connect because of an airline change.

As soon as they learned of the situation, they contacted Mytrip.com and asked that the flights be switched to a more convenient connection.

Although they had sent Mytrip.com numerous emails and spent money calling their “helpline,” Iberian Airways said that Mytrip.com hadn’t requested any changes to the flights.

Because Mytrip.com did not request a change from Iberia Air, the airline says it cannot make any alterations to the scheduled flights.

Iberia Air insisted that they must take the first flight, which no longer existed, or else they will be unable to make it to Madrid in time for the second flight. To put it another way, the tickets the user purchased were not honoured.

No one at Mytrip.com responded to the user’s emails either.

The helpline’s 844 number appears to be a premium number, as the company receives payment from the cost of the call. The price of one phone call alone (on hold) was 50 Euros for the euros. This incident speaks volumes for the values that myTrip.com stands for.

First of all, Mytrip has the worst customer support which makes things extremely difficult to resolve in case you’re stuck in a problem and need any help.

Apart from that, making changes or cancellations to flights booked through Mytrip is generally unsuccessful even if you have the Flexible Ticket and Cancellation Guarantee .

Horrible services, horrible customer service!! Avoid to pay for any complementary services they are promising to provide. For ex, I`ve paid for the possibility to choose the seats at the check-in, and they just stolen me, the seats were choosen randomly and the paid amount is non-refundable. Scammers.. Purchased 2 x Security Fasttrack Tickets for 20eu's (Which never actually turned up !). Then got a 75eu charge a few days later. I had not read their T&C's closely enough, and had been automatically subscribed to their "Concierge" Service, 75 eu per quarter ! 3 was apparently a 3 day free trial, but if not cancelled then you get charged. They rely on people not noticing whats going on due to being on Holiday. Probably never send anyone the Fastrack Tickets, just use it as a way to lure people into the bigger 75eu Scam !

This service is ridiculous!!

This service is ridiculous!!! I was not given the option to add luggage and when requested money was taken but the luggage was not added. The representative kept saying give me 5mins to check but the 5mins never ended only to tell me they cannot help. The most simplest thing a passanger could ask for is adding a luggage allowance. Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! I had 4 flights cancelled and despite being informed I was entitled to a full refund from the airline as I had booked via MyTrip their agent had to submit the refund request - I am still waiting months later and no refund. Their customer service is appauling and unhelpful. Avoid at all costs! I am taking legal action.

Zero refund from MyTrip

I booked a Cyprus Airlines flight through mytrip from Paris to Larnaca for 29th November 2023. On 22nd September Cyprus Airlines cancelled the flight. As of today 12th March 2024, mytrip have not yet refunded me claiming they are yet to receive their refund from Cyprus Airlines. Totally unacceptable. Do not use Mytrip if you’re going to use a National ID card, they do not have an option for it. Passport only. I contacted customer service but even they seemed confused on how it works.

Lost out on hundreds of pounds because MyTrip's agents cancelled my booking while on the other side of the world trying to get home. MY TRIP IS NOT ATOL PROTECTED. DO NOT USE THEM. There as a schedule change made by Lufthansa for leg 3 of 3 for my flight home from Sydney to London. This meant a 10 hour stopover in Frankfurt. When I realised, I requested to be put back onto the original flight because Lufthansa were selling seats online. This wasn't possible, so I requested I be refunded for that leg of the trip while I purchase a seat on the original flight. MyTrip asked me to confirm that I would like a refund, to which I said of course. They never mentioned any kind of cancellation. I woke up on the morning of my flight home to cancellation emails for the entire journey from Sydney to London. The customer service since then has been despicable, I've been lied to multiple times, told there is no claims service (there is), it took 2 months for the refund of the journey to come through, which was £683, my entire booking was £1464.99... The new flights home I booked with Emirates cost £795, as well as the Frankfurt to London flight I booked for £177. So I am out of pocket big time at the moment. MyTrip are refusing to accept responsibility for the cancellation and are shifting the blame onto me. It is by far the most stubborn, brainless and incapable customer service I've ever dealt with. It's incredible that they cancelled my booking which was the route taking me through to Frankfurt where I would be getting on the new flight I booked myself on to (which I was originally on anyway but Lufthansa moved me). It seems there is zero common sense at MyTrip, why would I want to cancel my booking that's taking me to the place where I've just made a new booking with them? Please, for the sake of saving a few pounds or dollars, don't use MyTrip.

Avoid MyTrip at all !!! Just do it !!!

Avoid MyTrip. Just dont book with MyTrip. The company sucks ...big time. MyTrip is only the middleman when buying airline tickets. Check flights direct. Buy direct. Cheaper and you have direct service. MyTrip is worthless.

Have been waiting for a refund of my cancelled flight from Vietnam back to UK for 5 years now. After numerous attempts of contacting the customer services and providing endless updates to people whose only job is to fob you off, I ended up with a threat to be put at the bottom of the queue… laughable. Going to court, had enough.

DO NOT BOOK A TRIP WITH THEM!

My return flight was cancelled and they were unable to book me in at another flight, which I consequently had to book a separate last minute flight and pay a little fortune, so I could return back home. To make things worse, they have never refunded me - this was in early December and I have to keep chasing them every other day unsuccessfully. It doesn't help that waiting time for both the online chat and via call are lengthy (usually over an hour wait).

Everybody avoid this organization, they have refused to refund me for the my international turkish airline flight that was cancelled due to covid. TERRIBLE COMPANY- SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!

TERRIBLE COMPANY, PLEASE DO NOT USE! They cannot be contacted in any way after you parted with your money. The chat bot will leave you waiting for more than 8 hours whilst "trying to find an agent" and then close your chat due to "inactivity"?! The phone number is a series of questions designed to take you on a loop back to the first question and NEVER connects you to an agent. These are the only ways to contact this bunch of scammers. This company should be investigated and closed down.

This company are absolute Scammers ! the first booking with mytrip i get an email to say the Airline has changed my flight. So i have to wait for new Itinery, well i waited almost 2weeks...NOTHING from them. So i decided to call the Airline...Guess what ? they tell me they have had nothing from MYTRIP at all ! i then rebook my flights with the Airline. A new order number etc. new tickets sent to my email within 20 Minutes!!! About 2 weeks later i get another email from MYTRIP stating the Airline has changed my flight again. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH Do NOT use these F.....g Scammers. this company of scumbags need shutting down. I repeat....DO NOT USE MYTRIP.

However more expensive the airline cost for your ticket is, please book directly with the airline. DO NOT under any circumstances book through this company. I made an error in the booking process which I needed to correct. I called straight away and was told their service department would contact me within 24 hours. After 8 telephone calls, I eventually received an email 10 DAYS later. This email offered a change to my flight but with a cost. I accepted that cost and made the change. I then had a further email which told me that it was now not possible to change my booking and that my money was lost. None of these conditions were mentioned at the time of the booking. More importantly, in those 10 days my correct flight had increased by £400. To take 10 days to respond to an issue and then for that response to be incorrect, is totally unacceptable and I urge you not to use them. Take the hit and always book through the airline. (For example, I found out that my airline offers free seat allocation, but MyTrip charged me £20 per seat during the booking process, telling me seat allocation was not available with the airline - absolutely untrue and pure profiteering!)

Via skyscanner kom ik op een aantrekkelijk vliegticket van Amsterdam naar Phuket. De enige die een zeer aantrekkelijke prijs is Mytrip. Dus op zich enigszins verbaasd. Hoe staat deze ticketverkoper bekend? Ik heb op de terugweg een overstaptijd van 45' op München. In de praktijk ga ik dit toch nooit halen? Laat staan de overdracht van de ruimbagage. Iemand enige suggesties danwel ervaringen?

Mytrip heb je geen problemen mee zolang alles goed gaat. Bij een wijziging of cancelling van je vlucht of boeking is de klantenservice regelmatig slecht of niet bereikbaar. Weet niet of het nog steeds zo is, maar destijds rekenden zij ook hoge servicekosten voor alles.

Heeft iemand ervaring met reisorganisatie Mytrip? geboekt nog geen tickets

Ik hen op 07-06-2021 een reis geboekt voor mijn gezin via reisorganisatie Mytrip. Ik heb betaald. Ik heb een bericht gekregen dat mijn verzoek binnen 72 uur in behandeling wordt genomen. Tot op heden niets gehoord. Heeft iemand revaring met Mytrip? is deze reisorganisatie betrouwbaar?

Nee, geen ervaring met Mytrip. Heb er ook nog nooit van gehoord, wat natuurlijk niets zegt. Mijn geboekte vaktanties (in het verleden) gingen via TUI. Maar als ik zo de reviews lees: ben bang dat u bij een verkeerd adresje geboekt heeft. Thanks. Zag in mijn link dat de  m van com niet rood was. Maar goed, je weet dat ik een fietsenmaker ben op de internet snelweg. Maar wil daar geen fietsenmaker mee beledigen, die zijn van heel veel waarde.

Het lag niet aan de m . Er stond een punt in plaats van een slash, tussen review en mytrip .

Als u geboekt heeft via mytrip.com dan betreft het een in het buitenland en ook nog eens buiten de EU gevestigde onderneming. Dus als zij niet leveren wordt het heel lastig uw geld terug te krijgen. U had uw vragen dus beter voordat u ging boeken kunnen stellen.

I recently used 2 x third party ticket purchasing platforms. I found MyTrip excellent and the entire process ran smoothly. I have had issues in the past with booking platforms. I no longer use booking.com as they offer poor customer service. Even though I never required customer service via Mytrip I found the entire experience excellent and actually as easy ads these things should be!

Easy to booking flights

Booking flights with myTrip APP is easy and very helpful. The price of the flight depends on how many additional services, such as insurance, you book. It is definitely helpful to book checked baggage. Unfortunately, you end up paying far more than the price you initially see.

Good, but could be more proactive

I recently used MyTrip to book flights from Tbilisi to London. Sadly my airline cancelled one of my flights and MyTrip managed to get me rebooked onto a new flight. Sadly, I did have to chase them up, but once I did- they managed to sort out the issue. I would leave 5 stars, but I don’t like having to chase up things that I’m told should be sorted. Perhaps this should be taken as a learning opportunity

Easy and clear on-screen experience. I was about to book with a rival company with a much cheaper quote but once you got to place your card details the discounted quote disappears unless you subscribe to 'Prime' scheme, which I was not interested in especially as I would forget to cancel the scheme and end up paying a monthly subscription.

Refused to help, so they profited from cancellations

They refused to change my childs surname on my ticket, despite the airline saying it would be acceptable. I then had to request 8 times for a refund when they made it impossible to fly. Each time they replied saying "Please confirm you want a refund". The tickets were cheap but I believe they intentionally make it difficult to fly so they can profit from cancellations.

Managed to get really cheap tickets when was the same tickets were really higher in the other platforms! 🤗

Booking Batik Air on MyTrip.

Booking timed out and was slightly dearer when rebooking. Otherwise was pretty easy. Wasn't able to select seats (presumably because flying Batok Air).

Why shouldn't you buy plane tickets from Mytrip?

Firstly, as I proceeded to select the ticket and make the payment on the website, the fare changed three times spontaneously. Later, despite still wanting to proceed with the purchase, the amount charged from my payment card was over 5800 TL, without my consent, totaling 6300 TL. What kind of deception is this?

Why do they offer a chat service when no-one ever answers the chatline????? I have been trying for days unsuccessfully !!!! When we need to change our ticket, it can be very frustrating to not being able to speak to an operator!!!!!!

This service should be illegal WIzzair changed my flight from early morning to late evening. I can’t accept the change because the chatbot doesn’t connect you to any real human with a brain, and the phone number seems always busy.

I booked months ago a flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa for April the 12th of 2024. The departure was initially at 8:00 and I received an email last Friday to say that the flight had a « minor » rescheduled at 4:00 ie 4 hours earlier ! I have a flight from Taipei to Manila the same day and arrive at 4:50 with the same airline. I called your services to have 2 consécutives flights and nothing happened. Terrible arrangement for connecting flights. The transferring time was too short that my family almost missed the next flights and the luggages were all delayed for twice. Their emails very unprofessional, the formate looked like a fraud with incorrect information about the baggages. Generally, definately won't use it anymore.

Booking my flight

Disliked the fact that the pages kept changing price. When I had finished I pressed continue and was told my flight was no longer available. Eventually I logged out altogether and started again and all the details of the flight they said wasn't available all populated and I eventually booked it. Such a waste of time To be fair most of the other sites were the same. So many added prices as well. Unbelievable.

Shoddy service

I wanted to change the date of my return trip and the person I spoke to said that the only ticket available for the date I wanted was a business class ticket so I agreed to pay for the change based on the information she gave me. However, when it came time for the flight, it turned out It was an economy class ticket. I would not have agreed to such a price hike without an upgrade, and even though the company admits that the agent gave me the wrong information, eventually (after several phone calls and emails )they refused to reimburse me.

Bad customer service experience

The company was extremely unhelpful I bought tickets for all my family and had to change the date, I paid the fee that came along with changing dates and a few days before departure they cancelled and told me the aircraft was full, offered me a refund that still hasn't arrived in 2 years. Horrible customer service and no real orgisation in the way they do things. Wouldn't recommend

Human skull

DEAR ABBY : I need a second opinion. My grandfather sold me an old farmstead that has been in the family for 200 years. Last week, he showed me a wooded area behind the barn with a human skull. He told me that when his father died more than 50 years ago, he was curious about how long it would take a body to decompose, so he left his body in the woods to keep track of its progress. He has 50 years’ worth of pictures and notes. He told the rest of the family that Great-Grandpa had been cremated, and apparently no one questioned him about the ashes.

At this point, the skull is all that’s left. I checked with a lawyer, who tells me that in my state no laws were broken. That said, I don’t want my great-grandfather’s skull sitting in the woods behind my barn! My husband says I should quietly bury it, burn the pictures and the notes and forget about it. That just doesn’t feel right to me. 

It feels like I’m helping my grandfather get away with something and it feels “icky.” Should I tell the rest of the family, or continue allowing them to believe that Great-Granddad was cremated? I’m resenting my grandfather for putting me in the middle of this, and any advice you have would be greatly appreciated. — BOUGHT MORE THAN I BARGAINED FOR

DEAR BARGAINED : Your letter is a first. Why do I get the impression that your grandfather must have HATED his father to have treated his remains so disrespectfully? The farmstead and everything that goes with it is yours now to keep or dispose of. 

What you need to do is decide whether to donate your great-grandfather’s skull to a medical or dental school (or coven?), place it in a columbarium or bury it on your property. As to whether to tell the rest of the family, what positive thing would be accomplished by sharing this unpleasantness with them? You are a caring individual; let your conscience be your guide.

DEAR ABBY : I’m a full-figured 25-year-old woman who lives at home. My family has three dogs. Every night, I go into my mother and father’s bedroom to pick up the youngest one to hold for a few minutes and say goodnight. Easy to booking flights

Booking flights with myTrip APP is easy and very helpful. The price of the flight depends on how many additional services, such as insurance, you book. It is definitely helpful to book checked baggage. Unfortunately, you end up paying far more than the price you initially see.

Good, but could be more proactive

I recently used MyTrip to book flights from Tbilisi to London. Sadly my airline cancelled one of my flights and MyTrip managed to get me rebooked onto a new flight. Sadly, I did have to chase them up, but once I did- they managed to sort out the issue. I would leave 5 stars, but I don’t like having to chase up things that I’m told should be sorted. Perhaps this should be taken as a learning opportunity

Easy and clear on-screen experience. I was about to book with a rival company with a much cheaper quote but once you got to place your card details the discounted quote disappears unless you subscribe to 'Prime' scheme, which I was not interested in especially as I would forget to cancel the scheme and end up paying a monthly subscription.

Refused to help, so they profited from cancellations

They refused to change my childs surname on my ticket, despite the airline saying it would be acceptable. I then had to request 8 times for a refund when they made it impossible to fly. Each time they replied saying "Please confirm you want a refund". The tickets were cheap but I believe they intentionally make it difficult to fly so they can profit from cancellations.

Booking Batik Air on MyTrip.

Booking timed out and was slightly dearer when rebooking. Otherwise was pretty easy. Wasn't able to select seats (presumably because flying Batok Air).

Why shouldn't you buy plane tickets from Mytrip?

Firstly, as I proceeded to select the ticket and make the payment on the website, the fare changed three times spontaneously. Later, despite still wanting to proceed with the purchase, the amount charged from my payment card was over 5800 TL, without my consent, totaling 6300 TL. What kind of deception is this?

I booked months ago a flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa for April the 12th of 2024. The departure was initially at 8:00 and I received an email last Friday to say that the flight had a « minor » rescheduled at 4:00 ie 4 hours earlier ! Terrible arrangement for connecting flights. The transferring time was too short that my family almost missed the next flights and the luggages were all delayed for twice. Their emails very unprofessional, the formate looked like a fraud with incorrect information about the baggages. Generally, definately won't use it anymore.

Booking my flight

Disliked the fact that the pages kept changing price. When I had finished I pressed continue and was told my flight was no longer available. Eventually I logged out altogether and started again and all the details of the flight they said wasn't available all populated and I eventually booked it. Such a waste of time To be fair most of the other sites were the same. So many added prices as well. Unbelievable.

Shoddy service

I wanted to change the date of my return trip and the person I spoke to said that the only ticket available for the date I wanted was a business class ticket so I agreed to pay for the change based on the information she gave me. However, when it came time for the flight, it turned out It was an economy class ticket. I would not have agreed to such a price hike without an upgrade, and even though the company admits that the agent gave me the wrong information, eventually (after several phone calls and emails )they refused to reimburse me.

Bad customer service experience

The company was extremely unhelpful I bought tickets for all my family and had to change the date, I paid the fee that came along with changing dates and a few days before departure they cancelled and told me the aircraft was full, offered me a refund that still hasn't arrived in 2 years. Single and childless , the job felt perfect for me, and it gave me a chance to hone my reporting and writing skills without worrying about how my unconventional schedule affected anyone else.

Outside work, I had a full social life . My free time was occupied with after-work happy hours, karaoke nights, and shopping excursions with my friends. And while I did spend time dating, finding a husband wasn't really on my radar until my late 20s.

My husband and I waited to have kids once we met

When I finally met my husband , we dated for several years before marrying. And once we married, we knew we wanted to wait a few years to have kids to give ourselves time to settle into married life and enjoy our time together as a twosome.

During that time, we bought a house, traveled, and filled our spare time with concerts, parties, and quiet dinners at home. We knew that becoming parents would change our lifestyle, so we wanted to have time to enjoy the freedom of being child-free.

That time also allowed us to continue to advance in our careers and start building savings that we didn't have during our 20s. By the time we felt ready to start trying for a baby — when I was nearly 35 and my husband 37 — we felt confident that we were both as emotionally and financially prepared as possible for parenthood.

It took some time to have a child, but I'm glad we waited

But after months of negative pregnancy tests, I began to question my decision to wait to have kids . Research has found that a woman's ability to conceive after the age of 35 drops significantly. After nearly a year of trying unsuccessfully to get pregnant, testing determined I had a luteal phase defect — an inability of the uterine lining to thicken enough to support a pregnancy.

With that diagnosis, my doctor prescribed hormone therapy that allowed me to get and stay pregnant with my son. And once I got pregnant, my over-35 status put me and my baby at greater risk of complications such as birth defects.

Thankfully, I had a pretty uneventful pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy baby right before my 36th birthday. As I settled into motherhood, I wondered if I would've been better equipped for the long, sleepless nights and busy days of parenting an infant if I had the energy level of a woman a decade my junior. But while I still wish I had more energy for my son, I manage well enough to be an active mom.

Though I certainly experienced some of the cons of putting off parenthood , ultimately, I'm glad I waited to become a mom. Like my own parents, I feel settled and confident in my ability to raise and provide for a child. And though our social life is different now, my husband and I don't feel like we're missing out on anything as individuals or a couple.

So when my son asked that question, I only had one answer: "I'm older because I waited until I was ready to become a mom." While that age differs for everyone, waiting worked for me.

DEAR TRAVEL TROUBLESHOOTER: I am writing to request a refund for tickets I had to purchase at the last minute after our international travel had already begun. United canceled part of our international itinerary without notice or remedy.

My wife and I had booked tickets through United.com from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Keflavik International Airport in Iceland, with stops in Houston and Frankfurt, Germany. When we checked in at Albuquerque for our departure, a United representative told us that we couldn’t check in for our flight from Frankfurt to Keflavik because Icelandair was not a United code-share partner airline. But the representative assured us that this was normal, and we would only need to pick up our luggage in Frankfurt and take it to the Icelandair ticket counter.

We flew to Houston, and again, we tried to check on the status of our Icelandair reservation. But Icelandair’s website and mobile app could not find our reservation under our confirmation code. In Houston, Icelandair’s customer service line told us that the tickets were never issued and that the reservation itself had been canceled by the issuing travel agency the day before travel. Since we bought our tickets on United.com, I presume that United itself was the agency.

We found this out while our flight to Frankfurt was boarding. The United gate agent in Houston could not help. She told us that she couldn’t even look up our reservation under its confirmation number since, again, Icelandair was not a partner airline.

We had to repurchase the seats that had allegedly been canceled at a cost of $1,959. It would be appropriate for United to refund that cost to make me whole. Can you help?

ANSWER: What a nightmare! You booked your airline tickets through United.com, so it’s responsible for getting you to your destination. It doesn’t matter if United has a relationship with Icelandair or not. The buck stops with United.

Normally, you would find out about a problem with your ticket well in advance of your flight. But it looks like United canceled the last leg of your flight just before you left. A last-minute call to Icelandair might have revealed the problem. But if you buy a ticket on United.com, and it sends you a confirmation number, you should be confident that you actually have a reservation for all the travel segments.

I don’t think you had much of a choice about buying a new ticket on Icelandair. You could have gone to the United ticket counter in Frankfurt and explained the problem, but if you had missed your flight, it would have screwed up your entire vacation — car rental, hotel stay, tours, etc. You were cornered and had to purchase a more expensive, last-minute ticket. And you’re absolutely correct: This was something United should pay for.

You contacted United in writing and did an excellent job of keeping a paper trail. In response to your request, the airline offered to refund the unused leg but nothing more, claiming a “desynchronization of your ticket” caused the problem.

“Due to operational changes, we’re unable to guarantee flight times or aircraft types, especially when the flight is operated by another airline,” the representative said. United apologized and deposited 5,000 “goodwill” miles into your account and refunded the canceled leg. That’s a good start, but United needed to step up and cover the cost of your new flight. I contacted the airline on your behalf, and it issued a full refund.

Needs little refurbishment

Outside look of the hotel is nice. But then, inside the room, it needs some renovation. Corners are mouldy, hair dryer wire is almost detached from the wall, doesn’t have mini fridge. Floor is actually quite dirty when we first stepped in. Location is not bad as there is local food around.

The airlines have changed my flight to the later time and they never informed me with the changes and suddenly they will email you and asked if I directly changed my flight in airline website. Pros & Cons honestly

Pros: 1. Get a room with little view of sea 2. Location is near to Jesselton point & eatery 3. Walking distance to many places Cons: 1. Iron board with water dripping out once we take out 2. Rusty rubbish bin, unpleasant at view 3. Torn tissue box 4. Filter water fixed in sink. BUT it is not working! Luckily we tried to on the tap & manage to buy mineral water before shops closed 5. Kettle with brown stain. No one will dare to use it for boiling drinking water 6. Carpet is dirty... 7. Pillow case with stain! 8. Gym at Level 24 not accessible 9. No mineral water replenished on 2nd & 3rd day of stay. This is basic service for any hotel! Overall, the hotel is run down with room not in good condition. Will not recommend to anyone. I don't understand why so many things is faulty in a room 🙄

My trip got randomly shifted

My trip got randomly shifted, which was at fault of trip.com and not the original airline. I called twice, receiving TWICE a different answer on how to solve this. The first one asked me to confirm via email I want to take my righteous flight - which I did, albeit they didn’t tell me how to confirm. Because I was confused, I called a second time where after thirty minutes ( and the service didn’t answer for the first five minutes as he was chatting with someone) told me I can take my original flight. I thought the service was already incredibly bad at this point, but I at least could get the flight. Now, 10 hours before my departure, I’m getting two different emails by two different people saying they will check with the company whether it is still possible and they will let me know within eight hours. This is not possible as I will already be on my way and I already got confirmation I could go ?! They made a mistake and ruined my flight and now I’m talking to four different service workers all telling me different things ?!

The service is very poor

For a long time, I've been using trip.com for booking flights and hotels, finding it incredibly convenient. However, my recent experience left me deeply disappointed. I had a flight ticket that needed to be canceled due to changes in the airline's schedule. Despite submitting a request for a refund, trip.com failed to process it through the original payment method and instead asked for bank details, which I provided promptly. Three days later, they asked me to resend the information without explaining why. Support representatives couldn't clarify the issue with my request. I resubmitted my details as requested. Two weeks later, I received another request for the same information. Support operators couldn't provide any explanation or assistance. It's been three weeks now, and I haven't even started the refund process. This level of service is a stark departure from what I've experienced before; the support team is unresponsive and unhelpful.

I stayed at Lone Pine Penang from 29 Mar 2024 to 31 Mar 2024. The service is excellent. Room service food was uneatable and waste of money. Safety and security is a question. Service recovery was excellent.
