The Bizzy Bee is the only water taxi service in Wilmington! We have 3 landings along the Cape Fear River in downtown Wilmington; The Battleship NC, Market Street and Chandlers Wharf on the Riverwalk between Orange and Ann St. Our water taxi stops at each landing at least once per hour.

We shuttle from 2 locations right on the Historic Riverwalk downtown. One is the bottom of Market street, near the Info booth, the other is bottom of Orange street near our shop.  If coming to Wilmington to take one of our narrated cruises, the Water Taxi will shuttle you from the battleship or bottom of market to our bigger boat, The Wilmington.  If paying for narrated cruise on taxi, then your cruise on on the taxi is free to the Wilmington.

Wilmington Brewing Company

Homegrown from a small homebrew shop to a 11,800 sqft facility, Wilmington Brewing Company is here to serve you fresh local beer straight from the tank to your glass. Located in the middle of the Port City, they offer a full brewery, tasting room, and a supply store.

Tropical Lightning IPA: Their flagship West Coast IPA is refreshing with notes of citrus, mango, and pineapple to the nose. Pouring a pale gold color, there are notes of pine, resin, and malt with a lingering bitterness to the finish.

Sneaky Goose Double IPA:  With notes of resin, pine, and orange, this boozey (9.4% ABV) goosey beer has a fantastic malt backbone while being a hop rocket for IPA lovers.

Broomtail Craft Brewery

Broomtail was founded by a husband and his wife in 2014 as way to share their love of brewing, using her Artistic Ability and his Scientific Expertise to develop consistent, high quality, delicious beer. Barry (a water chemist and formulator by profession) began home brewing in 1990. Their recipes surely make for tasty, tasty beer!

Moe Beer:  Distinct caramel flavor, darker in color, yet light body so it’s not as filling as most brown ales. Looks can be deceiving.

'Spirit of Norfolk' lives on as 'The Spirit' relaunches: Here's when you can take a trip

NORFOLK, Va. – City Cruises Norfolk is making a comeback. The company is kicking off its 45th season with a relaunch of sorts for a tourist boat that’s now being called The Spirit.

It’s hard to forget those devastating images of the Spirit of Norfolk going up in flames .

“It was very much a tragedy to see how bad it burned and how long it burned,” said Bill Calvert, a former Spirit of Norfolk passenger and Norfolk resident.

The fire took four days to put out. More than 100 people were on board when it broke out in June. Everyone made it off safely.

Jolene Price-Thompson, the GM of City Cruises Norfolk, said all safety protocols were followed that day and everything on the ship was up to code.

Inspectors agreed. During a week-long hearing earlier this year, they said the Spirit of Norfolk passed inspection one month before the fire.

“A lot of things to be grateful for after that incident - the quick reaction of our crew on board to handle that situation,” Price-Thompson said. “I’m grateful City Cruises gave us another Spirit vessel.”

In August, two months after the fire, the Spirit of Mount Vernon came to waterside complete with a makeover. From new decks; carpeting; bars; tables and dance floors, the ship was completely redone.

After being dry-docked in January and February, the boat that’ll now be known as The Spirit, is once again setting sail.

“You look around Downtown Norfolk in the waterfront, in Hampton Roads in general, there’s not a dining boat like this one anywhere,” said Price-Thompson. So, we’re not just serving Norfolk. We’re serving the entire Hampton Roads area.”

Even though the boat has changed, the safety protocols will not. That’s because City Cruises officials say what they’re doing is working, adding that they’ll continue to follow up with inspections and mandated regulations.

City Cruises Norfolk said they’re all about making new memories for new and old passengers like Bill Calvert.

“It was a lot of fun because while you were having food, they had entertainment and dancing and then going across the river, being reminded of our naval heritage, passing the shipyard,” Calvert said. “It’s very special, I think, to the City of Norfolk.”

The Spirit of Mount Vernon has been operating since its inaugural sailing in Norfolk on August 12, 2022 . To book a trip on the Elizabeth River, click here .

As for if the Spirit of Norfolk will make a comeback, that’s still up in the air. General Manager Price-Thompson said the Spirit of Mount Vernon could be in Norfolk next year and renamed the Spirit of Norfolk, or there could be a new boat at Waterside altogether.

• Set your GPS to "69-1081 Kuualii Place Waikoloa Hawaii 96738" This will take you toward the Lava Lava Beach Club. Park at the A-Bay Beach Park parking lot and walk along the beach toward the middle. Look for our orange Hawaii Nautical check-in banner near the two prominent coconut trees.
• When boarding at A-Bay, it is a beach-loading process, with barefoot entry that takes a few steps near shore from the beach. Hawaii Nautical will come to get you there in a catamaran tender.

You will need to remove your shoes and wade through water to board the catamaran. Please wear casual clothes that may come in contact with water.
• A valid government issued photo I.D. is required to consume any alcoholic beverages.
• This is a "barefoot" cruise. Please come in easily removable shoes .

The trip was great. Nice being out on the ocean. Catamaran felt safe. Captain and crew were friendly and competent. Lots to drink plus snacks. Always a beautiful sunset. Highly recommended. Would do it again. Mahalo!

We had a wonderful time on the sunset cruise. We had a one year old and three year old with us, and the whole family had a great time. The crew was amazing, the boat was clean, and the drinks were strong. My husband usua ... lly gets sea sick, but this was the first time he was completely fine. The boat is big and stable. The crew had several drink choices, snacks, and even brought out teriyaki rice bowls for everyone. They let my three year drive the boat, which made his whole trip. We’re definitely going again on this next time we’re on the Big Island.

We are excited to welcome the new 'Spirit of Aloha' Catamaran to Waikiki! The new vessel will replace Port Waikiki Cruises' older catamaran currently in operation and will be one of the largest sailing catamarans on the island with room for up to 80 passengers. Port Waikiki Cruises will continue to offer its popular sailing excursions aboard the upgraded vessel, including snorkel adventures and Friday night fireworks dinner cruises.

Explore the Waikiki coastline aboard The Spirit of Aloha, a modern 65-foot catamaran. Its captain and crew members are available to answer questions about the ocean, navigation, sea life and marine conservation. Whales and green sea turtles are some of the creatures that can be seen on any given tour. Passengers also enjoy unobstructed views of Waikiki Beach with a backdrop of the Ko`olau mountains, and in the evenings the twinkling Honolulu skyline. The custom-designed sunset-orange and maile lei sail is a stunning contrast to the azure Pacific as it sails along the Waikiki coastline.

Amenities include a full bar with draft beer, a large fully-enclosed and covered cabin with table and bench seating, two full restrooms, freshwater shower, surround-sound system and multiple stairway entry points for snorkelers entering the water. Ample outdoor areas for sunning are also available before and after the vessel.
