What Happened to Stromae? Singer Cancels 14 Shows Amid Worrying Health Issue
Stromae announced the cancelation of his tour dates through May amid his health issues.
Concerns grew further after Stromae continuously canceled his tour dates since the beginning of 2023. After postponing six dates in March, he also declared the cancelation of his 14 tour dates in France.

The 38-year-old artist expressed his wishes to deliver positive news soon and told his fans to look after themselves. He also thanked them for supporting him in the past years.
The 14 canceled tour dates are the supposed shows in Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam; Zenith, Toulouse; St. Jakobshalle, Basel; Arena, Geneva; Wembley O2 Arena, London; Lanxess Arena, Cologne; Max Schmeling Halle, Berlin; Palazzo Dello Sport, Rome; and Halle Tony Garnier, Lyon.
Fans can refund their tickets at the point of purchase.
Stromae is expected to resume his tour on June 1, beginning his three-night show at Brussels' Palais 12. He previously completed a 139-date tour from 2013 to 2015 to promote his album, "Racine Carrée," before taking years-long break from music.
Why Stromae Disappeared for Years
After seven years of hiatus, the Belgian singer sat for an interview with Rolling Stone via Zoom, during which he revealed where he had been and why he disappeared.
According to the singer, he needed to live a normal life and feel inspired. He reportedly used his time away to finally introduce the fruit of his creative break: his third album.
"People know me not as a depressing singer, but as one who loves to sing about really dark issues on dancing tracks," he said, adding elsewhere that he got the chance to get married and have a baby while having small collaborations with other artists.
Upon his return, Stromae said he felt anxious and happy. At that time, he revealed he had a healthy and balanced life now - but things seemed to have changed a little months after his comeback.
