Super efficient as always!

Well what can I say, yet another smooth and efficient booking. The friendly and polite advisor gave a quick response to my initial request for hotel recommendations. She gave a few options and a personal recommendation for the hotel we decided upon which is always a bonus . She also provided details on transfer times and arranged for a private transfer on this occasion. Once we made a decision it was all booked and paid for within a couple of hours. We also bought a great travel insurance policy at the same time. Can't wait to book our summer holiday . Thanks again.

The staff at Pudsey are so friendly and helpful I always enjoy visiting the outlet. The young Lady that arranged the holiday break was very professional and nothing was too much trouble. Not met her before. She was called "Jen" and it was a pleasure to meet her. The other members of staff interacted with us and all had a brilliant sense of humour. First time cruisers

First time cruisers, didn't know how to go about booking what we actually wanted, only new which boat we wanted to travel on and what deck, Emma from Hays knew exactly what we wanted and sorted the booking out with ease, very informative. This is my first time in a travel agents in over 12 years, prefer to book my own holidays. But this holiday I found a bit daunting to book, but no worries all sorted and yes I would most certainly use them again.

Excellent service, we didn't really know where we wanted to go on holiday but had a budget that we didn't want to go over. Emma was great brought up lots of places and we are both happy with the one we chose. The only down side for me is that there are hardly any brochures to look through. It's all on line which I personally struggle with.

Why live in Pudsey?

Pudsey is a Victorian market town in West Yorkshire. It’s just five miles from the centre of Leeds, and four miles from Bradford city centre.

Pudsey is well-placed for transport links as there’s New Pudsey train station here (about a mile from the town centre) as well as another station nearby in Bramley. The town is just off Leeds ring road, which connects through to the city centre and the motorway networks, making it easy to travel further afield from here. The busy bus station provides access to the whole of Leeds, Bradford and the outlying areas of the West Yorkshire region.

Families love Pudsey because there are plenty of schools available locally. There are lots of primary schools within the town, as well as several secondary schools, both locally and nearby.

The local market runs here three times a week and it’s a fantastic place to pick up some fresh produce, as well as other items. There’s a large shopping outlet nearby and it has a large supermarket as well as some other well-known stores. There are shops available within Pudsey town centre too, including some lovely independent stores.

Pudsey has a fantastic selection of local restaurants and there’s an exciting range of cuisines to choose from when eating out here. Our local leisure centre has a fantastic swimming pool and it also puts on some fun fitness classes. Pudsey Park is ever-popular and rightly so, as it won a Green Flag award for excellence.

Many people have heard of Pudsey due to the BBC Children in Need’s mascot; Pudsey Bear. The bear’s designer named him after the town because this is where she’s from.

The Yorkshire town of Pudsey offers great access to the attractions of Bradford and Leeds - and yes, it is where the famous yellow Children in Need bear got his name. Designer Joanna Lane, who came up with the Pudsey mascot, named him after her home town where her grandfather was mayor. Families with young children will adore the Rainbow Factory under 10 minutes away - a unique story-telling centre for under-10s with model making, treasure hunts, puppetry and all things creative. You can shop till you drop at the Nearby White Rose Shopping Centre, which has more than 120 shops and plenty of eateries. Afterwards head to the large Pudsey Park which has lots to do including a skate park, aquarium, aviary and kids' playground.

Get media savvy in Bradford or have a blast in Leeds

Pudsey is perfectly poised between Bradford and Leeds. Head to Bradford for the renowned National Science and Media Museum where you can explore the mind-bending Wonderlab amongst other exhibits. The train from New Pudsey station gets you to Leeds in just over 10 minutes. A man has sadly died after being rescued from a burning building in Pudsey last night.

Police were contacted by the fire service who were attending a fire in a room at a house in Cemetery Road, in the Pudsey area of Leeds , at 9.48pm on Friday night (April 12).

A man, aged in his forties, was removed from the property and given emergency treatment but was pronounced dead a short time later, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson has said. The fire is not being treated as suspicious.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service were also in attendance. A police spokesperson said: "At 9.48pm last night, police were contacted by the fire service who were attending a fire in a room at a house in Cemetery Road, Pudsey.

"A man, aged in his forties, was removed from the property and given emergency treatment but was pronounced dead a short time later.

"The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious but detectives from Leeds District CID are continuing to carry out enquiries into the circumstances."

Pudsey fire: Man in 40s dies after house blaze

A man in his 40s has died following a house fire in Pudsey, police confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the blaze on Cemetery Road shortly before 22:00 BST on Friday.

The man was removed from the property and given emergency treatment, but was pronounced dead a short time later, West Yorkshire Police said.

The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious but detectives from Leeds District CID are continuing to make inquiries into the circumstances.
