Reasons Your Dubai Visa Can Get Rejected

Here are some reasons why your Dubai Visa Application can get rejected:

- In case you are a woman below the age of 24 and are travelling alone, there could be a delay or rejection of your visa, suspecting human trafficking.

- Any previous criminal record or fraud or any misconduct in the UAE or in India can lead to your visa getting rejected.

- In case you had a UAE residence visa earlier and left the country without cancelling the visa. The Public Relation Officer needs to have it cancelled for you before issuing you a new tourist visa.

- In case the scanned copies of your passport are not legible and the UAE immigration finds it suspect and rejects or delays the process of granting you a Dubai visa.

- Your visa can get rejected if your passport lists you as a non-white collar professional like a labourer, a farmer etc.

- In case your visa application has some typos in the name, passport number, date of birth, passport issuance and expiry dates, your application can get rejected or delayed.

- In case you had applied for a tourist visa to Dubai and had not utilised it. You then have to get it first cancelled from an OTA before applying for a new UAE visa.

- In case you have applied for an employment visa through an organisation in the UAE and did not utilise it. In such a case the PRO of the very company needs to first cancel your visa in order for you to apply for a fresh Dubai visa.

D ubai offers a diverse, multicultural setting and abundance of hotels and attractions that continue to make it the top travel choice for Indian travellers who see it as a tourist destination for exploration and sightseeing. Earlier this year, Dubai introduced a five-year multiple-entry visa to boost travel between India and the Gulf nation where the visa is issued within 2-5 working days upon receiving and accepting the service request and allows its holder to stay in the country for 90 days, extendable once for a similar period, with a total stay not exceeding 180 days in one year.

In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Aneta Zajac of Fly4free, shared, “Dubai is a great example of how a city that was more of a curiosity and a place to visit while changing flights can become a full-fledged and desirable holiday destination. A multitude of various attractions - both for children and adults, for those desiring adrenaline and for beach lovers, restaurants from all over the world, great weather most of the year, and, above all, the huge availability of direct flights from most countries make Dubai attract millions of tourists. The futuristic metropolis is an interesting, safe, clean and very attractive destination where no one will be bored.”

Deniz Rymkiewicz, Group PR and Community Manager at eSky, revealed, “Tourism in the UAE has been experiencing an impressive boom in recent years, and Dubai is one of the main magnets for travelers. The city stands out as a dynamic cultural, commercial and entertainment place in the Middle East. Its iconic towers, luxury hotels, world-famous shopping malls and futuristic architectural designs attract tourists from all over the world. A visit to Dubai is a chance to experience unique experiences, such as skiing on water slides inside shopping malls, admiring the world's tallest building Burj Khalifa, or exploring traditional markets and monuments. Dubai combines modernity with history, offering unforgettable experiences for travelers looking for unique attractions.”

According to Marzena German, Travel Market Expert at Wakacje.pl, Dubai has been a rising star in the rankings of the most popular destinations among travel agents' clients over the past few years. She highlighted, “The success of this destination is due to several factors - apart from promotional campaigns, the main reason is accessibility. Dubai is a rather exotic destination, which is always interesting, but it is also relatively close. It is therefore possible to quite simply visit a place with an interesting culture and impressive architecture.”

Robert Blaszczyk, Head of Strategic Clients Department at Conotoxia, explained, “The dirham (AED), the official currency of the United Arab Emirates, has a much higher exchange rate to the Indian rupee. For 1 AED, you will pay approximately 22.73 INR. In the currency world, the dirham, divided into 100 fils, is among the newcomers. It entered circulation in 1973, replacing the riyal. The AED banknotes, renowned for their advanced anti-counterfeiting protection, feature symbolic buildings, plants and animals. However, compared to exchanging cash, e.g. at an airport exchange office, it seems much more convenient and beneficial to use a multi-currency card.”

He elaborated, “A night in a budget hostel in Dubai can be found for under 100 AED, i.e. about 2 272 rupees. In the hotels, the prices increase with the number of stars, but they are not out of reach. You can expect to pay around 9,000 INR per night for two people in a room at a five-star hotel. However, you can rent a 170-square-metre apartment for a staggering 363,000 INR if you want something exclusive. The cost of living in Dubai is much higher than, for example, in New Delhi. Some examples of prices converted into INR: a meal in a restaurant for one person - 2,200-3,500 INR; a fast food snack - from 690 INR; a small loaf of bread - 136 INR; a litre of milk - 160 INR; 1 kg of yellow cheese - from 900 INR; 10 eggs - about 295 INR, and a 1km taxi ride - about 80 INR.”

Robert Blaszczyk suggested, “Before leaving for the United Arab Emirates, we must take care of our passports. The next step is to complete an online visa application at uaevisa.ae. Then we have to pay for it. How much? 150 USD (12,500 INR) for a single entry permit for up to 30 days. Alternatively, there is an option to stay in Dubai for 48 hours for 95 USD (approx. 8,000 INR). 90-day visas are also available for USD 450 (37,500 INR). Once you have paid, you will receive an email confirming that you have been granted entry to the UAE. You will need to print out the visa for yourself and present it to customs when you land in Dubai. This is important for both tourist and business visitors. Dubai is becoming an increasingly popular destination for trade fairs, conferences and other events, bringing together business people from diverse industries worldwide.”

He concluded, “Two people will pay around 50,000 rupees for round-trip airfares on the New Delhi-Dubai route, for instance. A four-night stay costs around 20,000 INR. Renting a car - from 100 AED per day, but the whim of renting a Ferrari, for example, would be 10 times more expensive, meaning around 10,000 INR. Food and tickets to museums, mosques and specialities in traditional markets will cost about 30,000 INR. Some attractions are free of charge, but, for example, to enter the Burj Khalifa, the world's highest building (828 m), you have to pay about 3,600 INR when converted from the local currency. Shopping malls, local markets and amusement parks are full of temptations that can quickly drain the budget for a day out. However, it seems that a sum of around 200,000 INR will allow two people to experience four days of incredible excitement.”

Abu Dhabi to Dubai in 30 minutes – how air taxis will revolutionise UAE travel

Living in uae.

Find out the launch dates for air taxis in the UAE, where will it fly, and travel times.

Joby Aviation 2

Dubai: Imagine escaping gridlock and reaching your destination in minutes. Well, if you live in UAE, this futuristic vision is soon to become a reality, thanks to the arrival of air taxis.

This past year, transportation authorities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah have announced their plans for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircrafts.

There’s a few reasons why air taxis are a revolutionary method of transportation – they are powered by electric motors making them environmentally friendly and quieter, they land vertically, eliminating the need for long runways and, most importantly, they alleviate traffic congestion.

So, if you want to know how air taxis are going to benefit you, here is what you can expect.

When: by late 2025 or 2026

In February 2024, an agreement was signed to launch air taxi services in Dubai. Under the agreement, Dubai will be the first city in the world with a fully developed network of ‘vertiports’ for permanent air taxi services by 2026. The agreement was signed by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), the British Skyports Infrastructure and Joby Aviation, the US-based company which operates air taxis in the emirate.

Where will the air taxi go and how long does it take to travel?

There will be four vertiport stations situated near key locations:

• Dubai International Airport • Dubai Downtown • Dubai Marina • Palm Jumeirah

What is the travel time?

The journey from Dubai International Airport to Palm Jumeirah is anticipated to be a 10-minute flight , a significant reduction from the 45-minute commute.

In April, the launch of air taxis in Abu Dhabi became official once an agreement between Archer Aviation and Abu Dhabi Investment Office was signed.

This will see Archer, which develops electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, take on in-country manufacturing, launch operations and provide the training required before the services are launched.

How long will a flight on an Abu Dhabi air taxi take?

These aircrafts would operate at a cruising altitude of 2,000 feet and the time for a flight will be between 10 to 30 minutes. The aim is to replace 60- to 90-minute car commutes with estimated 10- to 20-minute electric air taxi flights.

That’s not all, Joby aviation will also be launching air taxis in the emirate. Its maximum range of 100 miles (161 km) would enable fast and clean air travel both within Abu Dhabi and across the wider UAE, with a journey from Abu Dhabi to Dubai taking around 30 minutes compared to around two hours by car during rush hour.

The Joby air taxi is designed to carry a pilot and four passengers at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour (321 km/h).

  • Joby Aviation partners with Abu Dhabi to establish electric air taxi ecosystem

Ras Al Khaimah

On May 7, during the Arabian Travel Market, it was announced that Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) and Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) are collaborating with Skyports, a developer of vertiport infrastructure, to introduce air taxi services in the emirate.

Under the agreement, RAKTA, RAKTDA, and Skyports will collaboratively design, develop, and operate Ras Al Khaimah’s first eVTOL air taxi ecosystem.

  • ATM 2024: Ras Al Khaimah to launch air taxi services by 2027

Where will the air taxi go in Ras Al Khaimah?

The air taxis will provide fast transport to Ras Al Khaimah’s most popular areas and attractions, including:

• Al Marjan Island • Al Hamra • Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak.

What is the travel time for air taxis in Ras Al Khaimah?

Travel time to these areas will be cut substantially. For example, travelling from Al Marjan Island to Jebel Jais takes approximately 70 minutes by car. The launch of air taxi services will cut the journey time to less than 20 minutes .

How much will air taxis cost and how can we book it?

While details on booking and pricing are still under wraps, air taxis in Abu Dhabi are expected to offer fares comparable to premium ride-hailing services.

Gulf Grand Tours visa: Travel agencies to launch unique tourist packages

 alt=

Dubai: Travel agencies in the UAE and other countries are busy preparing special packages ahead of the much-awaited rollout of the ‘Gulf Grand Tours’ visa, which introduces a unified tourist visa system for the GCC (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates) countries. The executives in the travel and tourism sector say that the packages aim to attract tourists from all over the globe who wish to visit the Gulf region. These packages would be designed based on the European Schengen visa model.

Travellers will have to spend around 4000 – 5000 dirhams or more, to enjoy leisure trips, including two-night stays at three countries in the region. At a ministerial summit held as part of the Arabian Tarvel Market last week, it was announced that the unified visa system will be in place by the end of this year. The authorities hope that the multi-entry Grand Tours Visa will let tourists travel to the six countries without any hassle.

First phase focuses on Saudi Arabia Travel agencies say that they have been designing packages after doing proper research to understand the needs and preferences of the travellers. Their study found that children aged between 8 and 14 play pivotal roles in choosing the destination and the family’s stay in hotels. Based on this information, the travel agencies aim to develop unique tour packages to attract more than a million tourists to this region. These packages include hotel accommodation, vehicle rent and entertainment activities for families. In the first phase, such packages would concentrate on trips to Saudi Arabia.

Dubai launches air taxi service: Passengers can reach various spots in the city in 10 minutes

The different packages The cost of the packages would depend upon the tourism seasons in the GCC countries. The package for a two-day trip to countries like the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia would cost up to 4000 – 5000 dirhams. Some tour operators are also thinking of packages for a single country for 1,500 dirhams. Interestingly, the packages would cover the expenses for air tickets, hotel accommodation as well as transfers and tours. Meanwhile, the tour packages to Dubai, Oman and Qatar are expected to be ready for launch in two months. This package includes a three-night stay in Dubai and Oman or Dubai and Qatar. The travel agencies believe that the Grand Tours Visa would boost the scope for inbound tourist and domestic travels. After the Covid 19 outbreak, people have been preferring trips that combine leisure with business. The authorities and the travel agencies hope that the Grand Tours Visa may bolster such trends.

An initiative to attract international tourists It was in October last year that the GCC unanimously approved the unified visa system, in the model of the European Schengen visa. In April 2024, UAE’s Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri announced that the GCC countries would roll out the unified visa system by the end of the year. He added that a unified tourist visa system would surely play a major role in attracting international tourists to the GCC countries. The Gulf Grand Tours Visa would also be beneficial for expatriates, especially Indians, residing in various Gulf countries.
