Frankie Valli announces ‘The Last Encores’ farewell tour. Get tickets

We can’t wait to hear that famous falsetto one more time.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons just announced their farewell run of shows they’re calling ‘The Last Encores Tour.’

And yes, the 89-year-old “Sopranos” bit player will drop into New York and New Jersey a handful of times on this final 2023-24 stretch.

First, he’ll swing into Morristown, NJ’s Mayo Performing Arts Center on Friday, Oct. 13.

After that, the Jersey Boys will hit Englewood, NJ’s Bergen Performing Arts Center on Oct. 15, Red Bank, NJ’s Count Basie Center on Nov. 29 and Westbury, NY’s NYCB Theatre on Nov. 30.

Then, in 2024, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are scheduled to headline at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on March 22 and Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Cafe Hotel on June 22.

“I am eternally grateful for the love and support of our fans throughout the decades,” Valli shared in a press release. “I always loved touring and can’t wait to see the fans.”

And if you can’t wait to see Valli belt out the classics like “Sherry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “December, 1963 (Oh What A Night),” “Beggin’,” “Grease” and so many more live, you can pick up your tickets as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available for the newly added dates on Ticketmaster until Friday, Oct. 6, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

The rock 'n' roll legends are saying farewell

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons are prepping their last hurrah: The rock ‘n’ roll legends have announced “The Last Encores Tour,” a farewell round of North American concerts through 2023 and most of 2024.

Luckily for fans, Valli — wbo’ll be celebrating his 90th birthday next May — is making the most of his last outing, which begins next week on October 13th and extends all the way through October of next year. Along the way, he’ll make stops playing iconic venues such as Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, Orlando’s Walt Disney Theater, and New York’s Radio City Music Hall. The tour also includes multiple stints in Las Vegas.

“I am eternally grateful for the love and support of our fans throughout the decades,” Valli said in a statement. “I always loved touring and can’t wait to see the fans.”

The show was fantastic Frankie was on stage over 2 hours did all the hits did a new version of I’ve got you under my skin combined version of there hit and Sinatra’s version Frankie sounded great for an 85 year old the band was outstanding and Robbie Robinson was fantastic highly recommend this concert

I had a fantastic night at the Glasgow Hydro.I am a fan but had never seen him perform in concert before. I was not disappointed. It was an absorbing and first class performance from a great musical legend. It was 2 hours that was so enjoyable looking back on all the hits and his considerable back catalogue. He does very well for a man of advanced years, the timbre in his voice hasn't changed in fact maturity has added to its gravitas. The backing musicians and choreography was also very professional. The audience were rocking in the aisles,and he plays to the audience very well like the stage trooper he is. It was a fantastic experience and would definitely go to see Frankie Valli again, hopefully soon.

Frankie Valli and the four seasons were amazing. I didn't know what to expect because Frankie is in his 80's and although my hopes were high.. people lose their voice and strength when they get on in years and who knows. His projection has diminished some but the quality of his singing still shines through and I was awe struck. He performed one hit after another and a number of covers. His band members were phenomenal and back up singers a perfect compliment. They were accomplished professionals with a polished act that would entertain anyone. I highly recommend seeing this performance even if you have to travel.. I wouldn't have believed it would've been that good with out seeing and hearing it! You will not be disappointed! I've seen many great acts in my day including Paul McCartney, the Stones, John Fogerty, Fleetwood Mac, Talking Heads, Neal Young, etc all in their hay day and I'd rate Frankie Valli even in his golden years right up their with any of them... Clear Bag Policy

Fans are strongly encouraged to not bring any types of bags to the North Charleston Coliseum & PAC, however, outlined below are types of bags that will be permitted:

- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 14” x 6” x 14” - One-gallon plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar) - Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, not to exceed 4.5” x 6.5” - An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at designated entrances specifically for this purpose. - Diaper bags will be allowed for families with infants and toddlers. Child must be present.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags, or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Fans will continue to be able to carry items allowed into the venues such as non-professional cameras, binoculars, and smartphones as long as they are in their pockets or one of the approved bags outlined above.

The new date for this show is Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 7 PM.

 Hold on to your tickets as they will be honored for the new show date.

All tickets for the original performances on March 21, 2021, February 25, 2022, and January 14, 2023, will be honored on November 16, 2023, so patrons should hold on to their tickets.

Restraining order against Frankie Valli’s eldest son OK’d amid Walk of Fame honor

When Frankie Valli accepted his star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame last week, only two of his three sons were present to celebrate the honor. Francesco Valli Jr. was nowhere to be seen amid the pomp and circumstance.

That’s because a Los Angeles County judge ordered the Four Seasons singer’ s eldest son to stay at least 100 yards away from his father just days prior to last Friday‘s ceremony.

According to a restraining order reviewed by The Times, Francesco must keep his distance from his father, 90, and his 36-year-old brother, Emilio Valli, until April 29, 2027. A judge granted Emilio’s restraining order request after a hearing on April 29. The order prohibits Francesco from contacting Emilio and his father and from committing any action that might “disturb the peace,” including harassing, assaulting or stalking his relatives.

As Frankie Valli prepares a don’t-call-it-a-farewell tour, the music of the legendary Four Seasons singer continues to find new audiences.

The new order extends Emilio’s original temporary restraining order against his brother, which a judge granted in early April. In his initial request, Emilio accused his brother of breaking into their father’s home on April 5, People reported . Emilio alleged that his brother “repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill” him and their father. He also reportedly accused Francesco of theft and of destroying the singer’s property, among other allegations.

“Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues,” a representative for Valli told People.

Valli shares Francesco and twins Emilio and Brando with third ex-wife Randy Clohessy , whom he was married to from 1984 to 2004. Valli also has two daughters with ex-wife Mary Mandel.

Friday’s Walk of Fame ceremony celebrated Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons’ legacy, which includes ‘60s hits “Sherry,” “Walk Like a Man” and “December, 1963 (Oh What a Night).” During his acceptance speech, Valli reminisced about beginning his career as a teen.

“It’s hard to believe that this whole thing started when I was was about 14 or 15 years old and I did my very first performance in front of an audience ... where I sang ‘White Christmas’ a capella,” he said. “Who would’ve ever dreamed that it would have gone this far.”

He praised collaborator Bob Gaudio, dubbed the “Jersey Boys” musical one of the “hardest things that I’ve ever done in my life,” and acknowledged his family, including fourth wife Jackie Jacobs, whom he married last year.

“I’m thrilled to be here today,” he said. This is really a highlight of my life.”

It has a crowded boardwalk, plentiful Skeeball, wide beaches, big waves and flocks of summer tourists. But, this Jersey Shore-like ocean resort isn’t in the Garden State.

It’s in Delaware .

Some New Jerseyans have known for years that Rehoboth Beach , on Delaware’s southeastern coast, is a worthy rival to our Shore — even if getting there can mean a nearly two-hour drive from the Delaware Memorial Bridge or an 85-minute ferry ride across Delaware Bay to nearby Lewes.

The beach, unlike most on the Jersey Shore, is free. There are rides, arcades, popular restaurants and the city’s legacy as an LGBTQ-friendly travel destination.

And there’s a Jersey-like vibe in Rehoboth.

Bon Jovi tribute band Shot Thru the Heart — the name derives from a lyric in the New Jersey-based band’s 1986 hit “You Give Love a Bad Name” — is scheduled to perform May 26, on opening weekend of the city’s summer concert series.

In Rehoboth Beach, the biggest celebrity sighting isn’t Bruce Springsteen — it’s President Joe Biden, who has a vacation home in the area.

Biden’s presidency brought additional prominence to Rehoboth, not unlike what President George H. W. Bush’s summer home in Maine did for Kennebunkport. But, Biden’s summer house is in the North Shores area, just outside Rehoboth’s border and about a mile from the boardwalk.

Fodor’s Travel included Rehoboth Beach’s mile-long boardwalk among the 12 best boardwalks in the U.S. and Thrillist listed Rehoboth Beach among the 20 greatest beach towns .

Ann Osterdale and her husband, Mark, moved from Basking Ridge several years ago. She said they enjoy eating at the Shorebreak Lodge , located near the boardwalk, where the angus burger — topped with sautéed mushrooms, cheddar cheese, pickled red onion, fries, house pickle on a brioche bun — is priced at $22.

She recalled frequently vacationing in nearby Bethany Beach, Delaware, while she and Mark were working as attorneys in New York City.

“We just remembered how lovely we thought Rehoboth was. Just a family feel,” said Osterdale, who is retired as an attorney but does public relations for classical musicians.

“The waves are a little bit bigger here. If you enjoy waves, it’s great,” she said.

Rehoboth Beach has a reputation for being more affordable for vacationers than the Jersey Shore, where rental prices as of last summer reportedly had increased by up to 30% since 2020 . But, how much summer renters can save in Rehoboth compared to going to the Jersey Shore largely depends on location.

Rehoboth Beach is perhaps the best-known location in Delaware’s coastal region, which city spokesperson Lynne Coan said stretches from Lewes and Cape Henlopen State Park in the north to Fenwick Island on the state’s southern border.

The region includes Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach, South Bethany and Henlopen Acres. It is sometimes all lumped together, mistakenly, with Rehoboth Beach, though the city is only 1.2 square miles.

Kristina Lingo, a rental manager for Jack Lingo Realtor in Delaware, said in July 2023 that summer rentals ranged from $700 to $800 per week, if staying outside Rehoboth Beach’s borders, and went up to $20,000 per week for a large oceanfront house with seven or eight bedrooms.

A “nice house” in Rehoboth Beach, within a block or two from the beach, could go for $10,000 per week, she said.

“There’s a very large range, but there’s inventory for everybody who comes down here,” Lingo said.

Rehoboth Beach has a 19th century origin story similar to Ocean Grove on the Jersey Shore . The Delaware beach resort was founded in 1873 as a Methodist community, then known as the Rehoboth Beach Camp Meeting Association.

The association lasted only a few years — in contrast to the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, which continues to own land and lease properties to homeowners — and in 1893 it was established as the city of Rehoboth Beach.

Rehoboth Beach long has had a reputation for being LGBTQ-friendly. Frommer’s, a well-known travel guide, compares Rehoboth Beach to Provincetown in Massachusetts in terms of popularity with LGBTQ tourists , and cites as examples several clubs, restaurants and locations along the beach.

A historic marker is being sought for Poodle Beach, located just south of the boardwalk, that for decades has served as a draw for the LGBTQ community. The state gave preliminary approval for the marker in 2020 , though Coan, the city spokesperson, said it remains in the works and that no installation date has been set.

Rehoboth Beach’s gathering hub is the boardwalk. It is approximately one mile long and ranges in width from 12 feet to 43 feet, Coan said. That’s a decent distance, but less than some prominent boardwalks on the Jersey Shore. The iconic boardwalk in Atlantic City stretches for approximately 5 1/2 miles, according to a city spokesperson.

Rehoboth Beach replaces wood as needed and last redid the boardwalk around 2010, Coan said. It has endured a 1992 storm that demolished or heavily damaged the northern one-third of the boardwalk, and a 1962 nor’easter that washed away large sections, she said.

Boardwalk games, a staple of the Jersey Shore, are also found here. Funland has 15 games, including Balloon Bust and Skeeball, 18 rides — including five from the early 1960s — and an arcade. Zelky’s operates three arcades on the boardwalk.

Restrictions on the boardwalk and beach intensify during peak visiting season, which stretches over five months.

From May 15 through Sept. 15, bicycles are allowed on the boardwalk only between daybreak and 10 a.m., and police officers were observed during a June 2023 visit by NJ Advance Media flagging down and warning violators. Rollerblades, skates and scooters are banned altogether during the same, four-month period.

There are no restrictions on running on the boardwalk, but it is better to run early in the morning before it gets crowded.

Smoking is prohibited, year-round, except in designated areas. Commissioners in Rehoboth Beach voted to maintain the ban on marijuana sales and manufacturing in the city. The town council in neighboring Dewey Beach voted unanimously in June 2023 to ban weed sales and production facilities.

Music is a big part of the summer scene in Rehoboth Beach. The city’s summer concert series has performances on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting at 8 p.m., starting on Memorial Day weekend and continuing through Labor Day. Concerts are held at the bandshell across the street from the boardwalk.

The Jersey Tenors brought a Jersey vibe during a performance last July. The band’s typical playlist highlights Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Frank Sinatra, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen and Whitney Houston.

The musical acts lean heavily on nostalgia. The 2023 lineup featured plenty of tribute bands.

Rehoboth Beach, like the Jersey Shore, markets itself as a year-round draw.

The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market is open on Tuesday, between May 2 and Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The 35th Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival is Oct. 17-20. The Rehoboth Seashore Marathon is Dec. 7, with runners also getting the option of running a half-marathon.

This year’s 34th Sea Witch Festival , in October, will include a parade on Rehoboth Avenue. It was recently included in HGTV’s “21 Great Fall Festivals” feature.

Four Seasons Singer Frankie Valli’s Family Guide: Meet His 6 Children and Their Mothers

In addition to his legendary music career, Frankie Valli is a father of six.

The Four Seasons frontman first became a father figure in 1957 when he married ex-wife Mary Mandel , who shared daughter Celia with a former partner. Valli and Mandel later welcomed two more children together before they divorced in 1971.

Valli went on to marry Mary Ann Hannigan . After eight years together, the pair separated, and Valli moved on with Randy Clohessy . The twosome welcomed three sons before they ultimately split in 2004.

The Grease singer has also weathered his fair share of tragedy. Celia died in 1980 after falling off a fire escape. Months later, Valli’s daughter Francine died of a drug overdose.

“To be very honest with you, sometimes I don’t know. It was a very tough period for me. You would think that as time went by it would get easier,” Valli told The Telegraph in a 2018 profile. “But it doesn’t. You should never lose a child.”

Nearly six years later, Valli was granted a protective order against his son Francesco. According to court documents obtained by People in May 2024, Valli’s son Emilio filed documents on behalf of himself and the musician, requesting that Francesco cease any contact with the family. Emilio claimed that Francesco repeatedly threatened him and Valli and allegedly stole his father’s personal belongings.

Mary Mandel

Valli and Mandel were married from 1957 to 1971. Upon their nuptials, Valli became stepfather to Mandel’s daughter from a previous relationship, Celia. Together, they welcomed two more daughters.

Mary Ann Hannigan

Valli was married to Hannigan for eight years from 1974 to 1982.

Randy Clohessy

Valli married Clohessy in 1984 before welcoming three sons. They separated in 2004.

Jackie Jacobs

Valli wed for the fourth time in June 2023. He and Jacobs started dating in 2015 after initially meeting eight years prior.

Mandel’s daughter from her first marriage was born in 1954. She died in February 1980, but her death was not featured in either the Jersey Boys movie or musical about Valli’s life and career.

Antonia ‘Toni’ Valli

Toni is the eldest daughter of Valli and Mandel. Toni later married Gerry Polci , a member of her father’s Four Seasons band, in 1987.

“I first saw him when I was 15,” she previously told The New York Times in 1995. “I fell in love with him the first time I ever saw him. My father had been raving about him as a drummer — the best he had ever heard, he said — but when he saw how I felt about Gerry, my father said I wasn’t going to marry any musician.”

Toni and Polci welcomed children Olivia and Dario ahead of their eventual divorce. Olivia is a Broadway actress, who once played Mandel in a 2019 production of Jersey Boys.

Francine Valli

Valli and Mandel welcomed Francine in 1960. She died at the age of 20 in 1980 after an accidental drug overdose.

Francesco Valli Jr.

Francesco, born in 1988, is Valli’s first son with Clohessy. Like his niece Olivia, Francesco is an actor who appeared in Full House, The House Bunny and Reach Me.

Francesco’s brother Emilio filed a temporary restraining order against him in April 2024, claiming that Francesco was “addicted to opiates” and allegedly broke into Valli’s home to steal his belongings. A judge granted the order one month later, barring Francesco from having any contact with Valli and his siblings.

“Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues,” a rep for the singer said in a statement at the time.

Valli and Clohessy welcomed twins Emilio and Brando in 1995. After a brief stint working behind the scenes in Hollywood, Emilio became a realtor in Malibu.

Brando Valli

Emilio’s twin brother has followed in their father’s footsteps as a musician. Brando dropped singles “Imagine” and “Numb With U” in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

Brando and Emilio joined Valli at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in May 2024.

“This is really a highlight of my life, especially having my sons here and my wife sitting right there,” Valli said at the time, referring to Jacobs and the twins.

Frankie Valli is one of the most beloved singers of the last century and a dad of six.

He first became a father in 1957 when he married his first wife, Mary Mandel, who had a daughter named Celia from a previous relationship. The couple had two more daughters, Antonia and Francine, before they divorced in 1971.

After an eight-year marriage to Mary Ann Hannigan, he went on to marry his third wife, Randy Clohessy, in 1984. Frankie and Clohessy had three sons together — Francesco and twins Emilio and Brando — before separating in 2004.

Although the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons frontman had changes in his love life, “It’s unconditional love with your kids,” he told PEOPLE in 2008, adding that he spoke to his children every day no matter where he was. "He's actually a really big jokester ,” Frankie’s granddaughter Olivia told PEOPLE in 2022. “He loves to be goofy and loves to just make people laugh. ... It was just laughing all the time and telling stories, how to make good sauce, things like that."

In May 2024, Frankie received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame . He was joined at the ceremony by his twin sons Emilio and Brando and his wife, Jackie Jacobs , whom he wed in 2023.

“This is really a highlight of my life, especially having my sons here and my wife sitting right there,” he said during his acceptance speech.

Celia Sabin Valli

Celia Sabin Valli was born in 1954 to Mary Mandel and her ex-husband, and Frankie became stepfather to Celia after he married Mandel in 1957.

Celia died in February 1980 during an accident. Jersey Boys writer Rick Elice told Vegas Seven that he didn’t include her death in the musical because “if you put that in the show, no one would believe it. It would be too horrible and seem like it was fiction.”

In 2013, Frankie told Billboard that losing a child was “not something you ever, ever get over. It’s just not supposed to be that way.”

Frankie and Mandel’s first daughter together was Antonia “Toni” Valli. Toni grew up in New Jersey and married Gerry Polci of her father’s band, the Four Seasons, in 1987.

"I first saw him when I was 15,” Toni told The New York Times in 1995. “I fell in love with him the first time I ever saw him. My father had been raving about him as a drummer — the best he had ever heard, he said — but when he saw how I felt about Gerry, my father said I wasn't going to marry any musician."

Frankie eventually came around, and Toni and Polci had two children: Olivia, born in 1993, and Dario, born in 1994. The pair have since divorced.

Olivia is following in her grandfather’s footsteps by pursuing a career as a performer. She portrayed her grandmother Mary in the 2019 off-Broadway production of Jersey Boys and traveled with the 2022 national tour of Pretty Woman .

"My first memory ever — the big memory — he was at an outdoor concert venue in Jersey. I think it was PNC [Bank Arts Center], and I was just bopping along," Olivia told PEOPLE in 2022.

She added: "I was like, 'Wow, my grandfather, he's a really good singer. This is so cool.' Then I turn around, and I just see this wave of people because we were relatively close to the front. And I was like, 'Oh, he's a really big deal. Oh my God.’ ... And I turned to my mom, and I go, 'Mom, is Grandpa famous?' And she was like, 'Yes.' "

Frankie told PEOPLE that he was “thrilled” and “couldn’t believe it” when Olivia told him she’d be playing a role in the musical about his life.

"It just really felt like this was the best way to honor our lineage and the fact that we do have this voice that runs through our family,” Olivia said. “We love what we do so much, so this is me making a stamp in our family as well."

In April 2023, Frankie’s hometown of Newark, New Jersey, dedicated a street to the singer in the neighborhood where he grew up. "I think this is amazing and spectacular and deserved," Toni said at the dedication, per ABC 7 NY .

Francine Valli

Francine Valli was the second daughter born to Frankie and Mandel. She was born in Newark in 1960 and attended Bloomfield High School. Just six months after her sister Celia died, Francine died of an accidental drug overdose on Aug. 16, 1980. She was 20 years old.

Francine was known to have inherited her father’s musical talents — she had recorded songs and was set to embark on a music career of her own. She had also been scheduled to go on tour with her father.

Francine’s death is dramatized in Jersey Boys during a scene where Frankie gets a call about his daughter.

“The first time I saw that, it was incredibly difficult, and for many times after that,” Frankie told PEOPLE. “That lives with you forever. She died a long time ago, but I often imagine what it would be like if she were alive. She had a wonderful voice.”

Jersey Boys writer Elice was at the theater the first time Frankie saw the show and told the Chicago Tribune , “What most affected me was watching a man watching the death of his own child on stage. I saw him cry. When the show was over, they were wiped out. It took hours and several drinks before they came down from their emotion."

During Frankie’s marriage to his third wife, Randy Clohessy, they had three sons. Their first son, Francesco Valli Jr., was born in 1988. He’s an actor who has appeared on Full House and in movies like The House Bunny and Reach Me .

Frankie Sr. and Clohessy separated in 2004 and had a contentious divorce that ended up in front of the California Supreme Court over community property.

“This was a tough breakup because of the boys,” Frankie’s friend Stewie Stone told PEOPLE in 2008.

At the time, Francesco was a 20-year-old college student. “He doesn’t get them as often as he’d like," Stone added. "It’s tough when you have kids and they’re not in the house anymore. You don’t hear that noise.”

In recent years, Francesco has had a strained relationship with his father and twin brothers, who claim he is “addicted to opiates." A judge granted Frankie and Emilio a three-year order of protection against Francesco in April 2024.

Emilio and Brando Valli

Twins Emilio and Brando Valli were born in Calabasas, California, in 1995 to Frankie and Clohessy. They spent a lot of their younger years on the road with their famous dad.

​​“It’s very helpful for their social skills — lots of kids gravitate to them,” Frankie told PEOPLE in 2008.

They’re also musical, having learned guitar and drums when they were young. Frankie added that one of the most important things to him was that his kids felt free to “express themselves” with him.

“He’s a great father,” added original Four Seasons member Bob Gaudio . “He loves kids and gets right into their world with them. It’s fun to watch.”

Brando has followed in his dad’s musical footsteps, releasing singles like “Imagine” and “Numb With U.”

Emilio studied at New York University’s high school film program and the Los Angeles Film School and worked on productions like Ray Donovan and Agent Carter . Today, Emilio is a realtor in Malibu, California.

In April 2024, Emilio was granted a permanent restraining order against his brother after Francesco attempted to break into Frankie's property on April 5. Emilio claimed that Francesco "repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill " him and Frankie. In the filing, he said that threats like this have been happening for "several months" but have escalated since Frankie cut Francesco off financially.

Francesco has been ordered to have no contact with Emilio or Frankie and to stay at least 100 yards away from their homes, cars, and workplaces. The restraining order will expire on April 29, 2027.

“Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues,” Frankie's rep said in a statement to PEOPLE.
