GRAMMY® Award-nominated hard rock outfit In This Moment announce they will be hitting the road for their Blood 1983 tour with special guests Nothing More.

Kicking off August 26 in Evansville, Indiana - the Blood 1983 tour has the group set to take over stages in major markets including Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Los Angeles and Chicago from August through October 2022. Tickets and VIP packages are on sale now.

The tour announcement precedes the release of information for a special EP entitled Blood 1983 commemorating the ten year anniversary of In This Moment's gold certified album Blood (2012). Further details on the EP will be released in the coming weeks.

Since coming to life in 2005, In This Moment have presided over a diehard fan base under the watch of "mother" figure and frontwoman Maria Brink-joined by co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel, and Kent Dimmel. As millions convened upon the group's otherworldly and unforgettable concerts, they quietly emerged as one of the most influential and impactful bands of the 21st century.

To date, in addition to the gold-selling album, Blood [2012], the quintet have garnered two gold singles-"Blood" and "Whore" followed by a trifecta of Top 25 entries on the Billboard Top 200 with Black Widow [2014] and Ritual [2017]. Bringing their total stream tally well past 200 million as of 2020, Ritual elevated them to new creative and critical peaks as well.

Between selling out headline tours coast-to-coast, the group performed in arenas everywhere alongside Disturbed and appeared at countless festivals from Rockville to Sonic Temple.

Along the way, they assembled their seventh full-length, the aptly titled Mother [Roadrunner Records] with longtime trusted collaborator Kevin Churko [Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch]. Whereas Ritual hinted at a bluesy sonic sorcery, Mother breathes the activating mantra of an unbreakable spell, commenced on first single "The In-Between."

Since coming to life in 2005, IN THIS MOMENT has presided over a diehard fan base under the watch of “mother” figure and frontwoman Maria Brink — joined by co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth , bassist Travis Johnson , guitarist Randy Weitzel and Kent Dimmel . As millions convened upon the group’s otherworldly and unforgettable concerts, they quietly emerged as one of the most influential and impactful bands of the 21st century.

To date, in addition to the gold-selling album “Blood” (2012),the quintet has garnered two gold singles — “Blood” and “wh**e” followed by a trifecta of Top 25 entries on the Billboard Top 200 with “Black Widow” (2014) and “Ritual” (2017). Bringing their total stream tally well past 200 million as of 2020, “Ritual” elevated them to new creative and critical peaks as well.

Between selling out headline tours coast to coast, IN THIS MOMENT performed in arenas everywhere alongside DISTURBED and appeared at countless festivals from Welcome To Rockville to Sonic Temple . Along the way, they recorded and released their seventh full-length album, “Mother” ( Roadrunner ) with longtime trusted collaborator Kevin Churko ( OZZY OSBOURNE , FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH ). Whereas “Ritual” hinted at a bluesy sonic sorcery, “Mother” breathes the activating mantra of an unbreakable spell, commenced on first single “The In-Between”.

Eric Church sends Stagecoach festivalgoers for the exits with acoustic gospel set

I NDIO, Calif. − Eric Church has a reputation for being one of country music's true rebels, with songs such as his quaking blue-collar anthem "How 'Bout You" that asks "I like my country rocking, how 'bout you?" But that's not the same guy who showed up to Stagecoach as a headliner on Friday.

For his seventh time playing the festival − and fifth time headlining − Church opted for something different .

After a lengthy church organ played as the intro, Church appeared seated on a stool in front of stunning set of red stained glass windows on the production screen.

Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.

He began playing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" before he was joined by backing vocalists for "Mistress Named Music," then a choir for "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot," "This Little Light Of Mine," "When The Saints Go Marching In," "I'll Fly Away," "I Saw The Light" and more.

The unplugged jam session sent festivalgoers for the exit of the Empire Polo Club starting about 15 minutes in, a sight that could be best described as Moses parting the Red Sea. It was a surprising move by Church, considering his recent setlists appear to be in line with the type of show many were probably expecting him to perform.

'It felt good': Eric Church speaks out on his polarizing Stagecoach 2024 set

There was a memorable moment when Church began singing a country and gospel version of Snoop Dogg's "Gin & Juice" and the line "I got a pocket full of rubbers and my homeboys too" never sounded more bizarre in the same set as gospel songs. He continued on with the potentially even more surprising choice of 2Pac's "California Love."

An hour and six minutes into the set, Church still hadn't said more than "How ya'll doin'?" but he did finally play his hit "Springsteen," one of the true highlights of the baffling set. The other highlight was the talented choir that joined him the entire set, along with longtime collaborator Joanna Cotten, and the various solos that many of the talented singers performed towards the end.

So why did he chose to do a gospel set with the occasional country ballad (and even some hip-hop hits)? I think we're all still curious what the meaning behind the set was, but it's clear he was trying for something different.

It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what people wanted.
