We took the 3 hour tour and saw soooo many sites. We would have easily paid a lot more for this tour for the exceptional service and experience we received.

I had a fantastic afternoon with Ellie and Zain. They gave a us lovely personalised tour. The highlight was being able to step of the boat onto a secluded beach that was only accessible by boat, for a while we were the only ones on the beach. The tea and cake provided was extra nice touch too.

My husband and I and our two daughters, ages 10 and 12, really enjoyed our afternoon tour of Sydney Harbor with SHBT! It was a great introduction to all of the Sydney Harbor sights, a tour of some of the bays (homes of the rich and famous and a naval base), and a few beach stops at beautiful national park beaches.

We had a great 3 hour boat trip with the brand new Axopar boat named Spectre. A beautiful, fast and very comfortable boat. Perfect for 8 people. The crew was very professional and serviceminded. Great service also from the office. I highly recommend this company.

The best time i’ve ever had in Sydney. I got a chance to learn more about the Australian history. Overall my experience was phenomenal

Your experience begins by cruising under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and past the Sydney Opera House – two of Australia’s most iconic attractions. Heading east, pass by the Royal Australian Navy Base located on Garden Island, towards Watson’s Bay. On the return journey, via the north side of the harbour, pass by Clifton Gardens, Bradleys Head, Taronga Zoo, Kirribilli House (home of the Prime Minister) and Luna Park before returning to Darling Harbour.

Wonderful, leisurely sail around sydney harbour.

A thoroughly enjoyable jaunt, and so quintessentially ‘Sydney’.Much more relaxed and easy going than expected, with great laughs and plenty of history with host Howard and Captain (?) Andy.A really great way to see all the sights of Sydney Harbour, including some very interesting buildings complete with informative commentary. We loved the friendly, nostalgic atmosphere on the ship.The mast climb was a highlight of our Sydney trip.

Awesome Sunset Cruise

What a great afternoon/evening. Keegan (the M.C.) was great as were the rest of the crew. Really friendly & helpful AND the “deck girls” – fearless. (climbing up the rigging & setting the sails) Sydney harbour was as always – magnificent. Food was great as were the people we met on board. The mast climb is an ABSOLUTE MUST and the views of Sydney Harbour from the Crows Nest are out of this world. Hardest part is getting the world to hold still whilst you try to take pictures up the mast. !!! Summary…. MUST DO.

Mast Climb Was Amazing!

Coming from Sydney I was not sure I would enjoy. How wrong can you be! It was great, Sydney turned on a gorgeous day and I would highly recommend the mast climb, it was a little hard work for us over 50’s but I got there in the finish.

A Must-do Experience

I have lived in Sydney all my life, but to see the city skyline at sunset & lit up at night from out in the harbour towards Watsons Bay was a new experience. It was fantastic, must-do experience!

The best way to see Sydney is from the Harbour. The boat and the sails were extra special; we even had the opportunity to climb up the Mast to get an extra special view of Sydney. Canapés Delicious

The great thing about this cruise is the charming crew, full of life and love for their job. The cruise is a step back in time, the wine and canapés delicious, the entertainment lovely. I could have gazed at the waves, the wind and the sails forever. If you love sailing, or being on the water this is an incredible way to experience Sydney Harbour.

Romantic All-Inclusive Night Out

Drinks and canapés were served in abundance as we motored out to Sydney Heads and the beautiful scenery passed us by. I would definitely do this again; it was a relaxing, romantic all-inclusive night out.

Great host in Andrew and Captain Andy and friendly crew. Great experience, much more interesting than your normal pre-recorded tour boats with no character. Book early as may be full and therefore unavailable on your stay in Sydney! Highly recommended. Kids 7 (boy)and 9 (girl) and both loved it.

The main event and the reason for being on board The Coral Trekker — The Sydney Harbour New Years Eve Fireworks – Were way beyond our expectations and made all the more spectacular by the Captains ability to position his ship into the perfect viewing location. In our view the only way to see and enjoy the Sydney Harbour New Years Eve firework display is on board “ The Coral Trekker”. Well done everybody and wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR and a Successful 2023.

Great Day Out on Sydney Harbour

I thought this trip was excellent with all the activities available, when it is over you want more! An awesome day on the harbour.

I can’t say enough for this activity it was FANTASTIC! As well as laser clay shooting they ran mast climbing where two people could climb the mast of the sip and hang out in the wind. I cannot recommend this enough people, get out there and take a sail with the boys! Also get involved in the activities as well, really makes the trip.

Fulfilled my ambition of going on a tall sail ship, a great way to do it! This is a must if you like old sail ships and it’s a great way to experience the harbour. The activities on this cruise are awesome!

Loved the Southern Swan

We absolutely loved our time aboard the Southern Swan. Not only did it perfectly fit our theme (pirates, of course), but the crew went out of their way to really make sure we had a great time. Having done a few harbour cruises as part of team building and corporate exercises, this is definitely one that sticks out the most in my mind. Perfect way to enjoy Sydney Harbour

We took a 2.5h sunset cruise on the Soren Larsen for a large group from work.Sydney harbour is a real natural wonder and seeing it from a beautiful period boat was spectacular.The ship itself was wonderful (solid oak, real sails and rigging etc.) and had actually made the voyage from Denmark to Sydney. Plus, you could climb up it :-)The staff were knowledgable, entertaining and couldn’t have done more to look after us. Personally I really enjoyed learning about the history of the boat and it’s voyage around the world to reach Sydney.We also enjoyed food and drinks on board which were pretty varied and very good.Highlights of the trip were mast climbing, cruising back from shark island using wind power only and watching the sun go down to be replaced by the Vivid lights.Overall this was a great team event for us and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Alternatively, the Sydney zoos and aquariums will let them get up close and personal with Australian native species.

1. luna park.

Luna Park is a family-friendly amusement park that offers breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour. On the outskirts of one of the most stunning harbors in the world, kids will love attractions like the Tango Train or Ferris wheel.

Luna Park in Sydney is one of the few remaining amusement parks with fancy Art Deco design, complete with an enormous statue of the Moon’s smiling face which greets you at the Luna Park entrance. 

The park was built in 1935, around 600 meters (2,000 feet) from the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It operated for monthly seasons before becoming a year-round attraction in 1972.

The rides at Luna Park range from the typical Carousel, Ferris Wheel, and Dodgems to more inventive rides that spin, turn, twist, and move fast. Luna Park also offers a tonne of game booths, restaurants, and other services and facilities so that you can spend the entire day there.

2. Kids Surfing Lessons In Manly

For lively adults and kids, Sydney surfing lessons are a fantastic activity that will encourage you to get active!  

The best place to take surfing classes is in Manly. Many schools offer surf lessons, and the waves are ideal for novices. You can learn all the fundamentals in a few hours worth of surf lessons .   You can choose the best surf school for you from among the several that are available in Manly.

Manly is a great location for surfing. Compared to many other Sydney beaches, this one is a little more guarded.  Because of this, the waves are a little bit more predictable, which is ideal for beginner surf lessons. Surf Life Savers also guard the beach, making it a secure location for surfing.

Don’t be shocked if your kids are far better than you are in this important Australian sport! Manly Surf School, Manly Surf Guide, and Manly Surf Hire all offer surf lessons for kids. Some group lessons are open to kids as young as five years old.

3. Taronga Zoo

One of Sydney’s top family attractions is the Taronga Zoo , one of the most renowned animal parks in the world. You’ll realize why as soon as you board the free-flying safari that takes you to the zoo from the boat and bus stops. The elevated harbor vista is breathtaking, and the contrast between the city skyline and the animals is stunning.

A trip to the zoo with the family will always be a fun activity for the kids, but with some forward planning, you can maximize your time there. Be sure to utilize the family-friendly sections as well, like KidZoo at Backyard to Bush. Plan to spend at least half a day to experience all Taronga Zoo has to offer.

Notably, there is a kids’ program for school holidays, which kids will be astounded and fascinated by. They can participate in activities with an animal theme and get to know the excellent keepers who look after the animals at Taronga Zoo Sydney.

4. Sydney Harbour Pirate Ship 

Come decked out in pirate attire and join Captain Pineapple and his crew on the majestic Soren Larsen or the authentic Southern Swan pirate ship for the most exciting voyage of your life!

The dramatic performance is explosive and engaging, taking place on a historic sailing ship in Sydney Harbour . Take charge, set sail, find the treasure, fire the cannons, and play a crucial role in this 90 minutes of non-stop, action-packed family fun!

A very unique aspect of any pirate’s life aboard a tall ship while seeking out loot and eluding the law is helping set the sails, which is something that all pirates are encouraged to participate in.

Feel the power of the wind as it fills the sails and carries the ship over Sydney Harbour. It is like going back in time when the wind takes control and the sound of the engine stops, a feeling that pirates have shared throughout history as they stood on the deck of a tall ship with their eyes fixed on the horizon.

If hauling on a rope doesn’t appeal to you, just relax with a view, unwind, and take in the entertainment offered by the staff, captain, and other passengers.

5. Treetop Adventure Park

The West Sydney Treetop Adventure Park is tucked away in an ideal spot to make your visit unforgettable. The high ropes obstacle course, which soars up to four stories above the ground, offers breathtaking vistas of the Sydney CBD as you navigate suspension bridges and zip lines.

For young families, the Treetop Adventure Park also features a dedicated children’s obstacle course for little ones aged three to nine. The general entry is perfect for everyone aged 10 to 80. 

There are also locations of Treetop Adventure Parks on the Central Coast and in Newcastle. Each one provides activities for both adults and kids of various ages and skill levels.

6. Oatley Park Adventure Playground

Sydney was introduced to the Oatley Park adventure-inclusive playground in September 2019, giving park visitors a top-notch recreational asset. The playground includes new park furnishings and recreation equipment, suitable for kids of all ages and abilities. 

Oatley Park is a 112-acre reserve on the Georges River in the southern Sydney district of Oatley.  Jew Fish Bay, Georges River, and Lime Kiln Bay all surround the park.

The Oatley Park Adventure playground design takes into account suggestions from the local community and complies with the NSW Government’s ‘Everyone Can Play’ inclusive play space requirements to provide accessible play in more than 80% of the playground for kids of all ability levels. 

7. North Sydney Olympic Pool

Take the family to the North Sydney Olympic Pool for one of Sydney’s iconic experiences. When you glance up after splashing around and see the Opera House and Luna Park nearby as well as the Harbour Bridge almost immediately above you, you almost have to pinch yourself!

The great news is you don’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy the view. The pool has moderate prices, so you can have an entire day of inexpensive family good times!

Don’t let the pool’s opulent art deco façade and setting deter you, this is a great pool for the whole family. There is a children’s pool for splashing in and swimming lessons available, starting from age six. 

8. Wendy’s Secret Garden

One of Sydney’s top spots for a family picnic is Wendy’s Secret Garden . There is something to amuse and entertain both kids and adults around every curve in this unique, peaceful area.This expansive, lovely garden contains a little playground that is undoubtedly one of Sydney’s best-kept secrets. The unexpectedly big garden is lush and green, full of plants, flowers, palm and fig trees, tree ferns, and boasts stunning views of the port.

A rusty old wheelbarrow and an old scooter are just a couple of the unexpected artifacts (including picnic tables, eccentric statues, and miscellaneous objects) that give appeal to this living piece of creativity.

The Ian Potter Children’s WILD PLAY is a botanical wonderland tucked away among the tree-lined streets and undulating hills of the Centennial Parklands. The design by ASPECT Studios is in response to research that indicates few Australian children routinely play outside.

Join digiDirect and Sony for a very special event aboard 'Hamptons Sydney' - a purpose-built vessel with great stability, an outdoor roof deck, and a lower wrap-around glassed main deck providing plenty of photo opportunities. You'll capture the lights of Vivid from Sydney's very best vantage points during our 2 (plus) hour Vivid Photographic Experience.

Representatives from Sony will be on hand with equipment for you to try out. With a focus on premium compact cameras like the A6700, A7C II & A7C R. See how these tiny powerhouses can deliver the most incredible images! Sony Advocate Clyde Vaughan (@cvexplores) will also be on board to help you get the most out of your gear. If you're not a Sony shooter, don't worry! This event is for photographers & creators of all levels. Whether you're a novice with a smartphone or a seasoned pro, you'll be able to capture incredible views and talk to industry experts. Food and drinks will be provided throughout the evening. The bar will also be open for the purchase of harder liquor.

IMPORTANT: Attendees must be at King St Wharf 6 - by 6:30 pm for a 6:45 pm embarkation.

We have a strict allotted 15-minute window at the dock, so if you're not at the embarkation point on time, you will miss the boat.

Bring your camera gear, and remember to bring plenty of memory cards and charged batteries. Tripods are welcome, although we can't guarantee everyone will have the opportunity to use them. Also, we're not strict on branding, so it doesn't matter if you're using a different brand's camera on the event night - it's all about the experience. Sony will have gear available to test on the night - please ensure you bring an SD card if you would like to test their cameras and take your images home with you.

This is a ticketed, private event with limited places, and it's sure to be an unforgettable VIVID experience.

Swans cruise to wet weather derby win over Giants

Sydney have handed cross-city rivals Greater Western Sydney a 29-point defeat to consolidate their spot as the harbour city's No.1 team.

Trailing by 15 points after the first quarter, John Longmire's Swans stunned the Giants with a blistering second-half performance to claim bragging rights with a 14.14 (98) to 10.9 (69) triumph on Saturday in front of a 40,337-strong crowd at the SCG.

GWS had started brightly despite conceding the opener to James Rowbottom, slotting three unanswered goals to claim an early ascendancy in the opening term.

But Sydney started the second quarter with goals to Logan McDonald and Will Hayward (four goals), before torrential rain drastically changed conditions.

The Swans adjusted best, limiting the visitors to just two behinds for the second term and taking with them a nine-point lead to the main break.

Jess Hogan, Brent Daniels and Darcy Jones kicked a goal apiece in the third quarter to keep the Giants in the game, but their hard work was undone by a starting position infringement in the dying seconds.

Tom Papley was able to score and leave GWS coach Adam Kingsley unable to contain his frustrations on the bench.

The Giants' famous 'big, big sound' was all but reduced to a whimper in the fourth term, with Chad Warner slotting the final nail in the coffin.

It was Errol Gulden (29 disposals, five clearances) who claimed the Brett Kirk Medal awarded to the best afield in Sydney derbies played at the SCG, the first time he has earned the honour.

GWS midfielder Callan Ward was earnest in his attempt to keep Isaac Heeney quiet but the early season Brownlow favourite registered 26 disposals and seven clearances regardless.

Heeney and Gulden were well-supported by Warner (28 disposals, eight clearances) and Rowbottom (two goals, 21 disposals), while Brodie Grundy (35 hitouts) took out the ruck battle against Kieren Briggs (23).

Josh Kelly (24 disposals) and utility James Peatling (23) were the shining stars in a Giants midfield missing Stephen Coniglio (knee), while Daniels (two goals) and Hogan (two) led in attack.

GWS will have an anxious wait over the fitness of Tom Green after the midfield bull injured his ankle, leaving the ground in the first quarter and not to return after a Hayden McLean tackle on Finn Callaghan caught his left ankle.

Star goalkicker Callum Brown could be in trouble after laying a high bump on Tom McCartin in the second term, sending the key defender to ground before the Swans so after subbed him out.

McCartin has an unfortunate history with head injuries, missing seven games last season due to two separate concussions.

Veteran dSydney efender Dane Rampe stood tall in McCartin's absence and shone in his first game since returning from a hamstring injury, collecting a game-high 15 intercept possessions.
