Planetary Travel Brochure Examples

A planetary travel brochure is an advertisement for a tourist destination that is located on a planet. It typically includes images of the planet’s surface and its inhabitants, as well as information about the tourist destination’s climate, culture, and attractions.

There are many different types of planetary travel brochures. Some focus on the natural beauty of the planet, while others highlight the unique culture and attractions of the destination. Some brochures are aimed at tourists who are interested in outdoor activities, while others are geared towards those who are interested in learning about other cultures.

Regardless of the focus, all planetary travel brochures should include information about the climate and culture of the destination, as well as a description of the attractions. They should also include images of the planet’s surface and its inhabitants.

Planetary travel brochures are a great way to promote tourism on other planets. They can help people to learn about the culture and climate of different destinations, and they can also inspire people to visit the planet’s tourist destinations.

How do you make a brochure on planet Earth?

Making a brochure about planet Earth is a great way to learn more about our planet, its features, and what makes it so unique. To make a brochure on planet Earth, you’ll need to gather some information and images about our planet.

One of the best ways to learn about planet Earth is to read about it. You can find plenty of information online or in books about our planet. Once you have a general understanding of Earth’s features, you can start gathering images to include in your brochure.

There are many great images of Earth available online. You can find photos of Earth from space, photos of its landscapes and features, and photos of its people. Be sure to choose images that will help to explain the information you’re sharing in your brochure.

Once you have your images, it’s time to start putting your brochure together. You can use a word processing program or a graphic design program to create your brochure. If you’re using a word processing program, you can create a basic layout for your brochure and then insert your images. If you’re using a graphic design program, you can create a more detailed layout and add effects to your images.

When you’re finished, be sure to print out your brochure and share it with others!

What do you write in a travel brochure?

When it comes to creating a travel brochure, the main goal is to make potential travelers feel excited about the trip and want to go. To achieve this, you’ll need to capture the essence of the destination and put together a compelling pitch.

Your tone of voice should be upbeat and positive, and you’ll need to focus on painting a picture of the destination that’s enticing and exciting. Think about what makes the destination special and focus on highlighting those aspects.

You’ll also need to include all the relevant information about the trip, such as the cost, the dates, and the activities that are available. Make sure to be clear and concise, and to highlight the benefits of taking the trip.

When it comes to design, keep it simple and attractive. Use bright colors and attractive fonts, and make sure everything is easy to read. You’ll also want to include some great images of the destination to really capture people’s attention.

The first step is to come up with a design for your brochure. This can be done in a variety of software programs, or even by hand. Once you have a design, you need to decide on the content. This includes the text and images you want to include.

Once you have the content, you need to format it into a PDF or Word document. If you’re going to print it yourself, you’ll need to make sure the layout is correct. If you’re going to have it printed by a professional, they can help you with the layout.

Once the layout is correct, you need to decide how many copies you want to print. If you’re going to print it yourself, you’ll need to make sure you have the correct equipment. If you’re having it printed professionally, they can help you with that too.

Finally, you need to distribute your brochure. You can do this by mailing it, handing it out, or posting it online.

Modeling Ecosystems: Integrating Science, Literacy, and Art

The study of biomes and ecosystems lends itself to an integrated approach as students combine scientific understanding, literacy skills, and artistic abilities to understand the physical characteristics and plant and animal species of a region. Creating representations of a biome or ecosystem can be used during instruction to deepen understanding and engage multiple intelligences, or after instruction to demonstrate understanding.

We’ve suggested both two- and three-dimensional options for integrating art into a study of ecosystems: collage, brochures and books, dioramas and trioramas, and even life-sized models. Choose what will engage your students and will make the best use of your time and available resources. Have another idea for art integration? Share it with us by leaving a comment below!

TORN-PAPER BIOMES

In “Biome Is Where the Art Is,” an article from the NSTA journal Science and Children , Kelly Gooden describes an authentic assessment in which students demonstrate understanding of a particular biome by creating collages using only torn paper and glue. Gooden explains her course of study, and how students use the medium to show indigenous species as well as evidence of the climate and geography of a particular biome. A rubric and print and online resources are included.

Biome Is Where the Art Is This Science and Children article (free for NSTA members, $0.99 for nonmembers) describes an integrated performance task that assesses students’ understanding of the biomes of the earth.

TRAVEL BROCHURES

Travel brochures provide an opportunity for informational writing, presentation of information, and creation of appropriate visuals (graphs, charts, and illustrations). Students can create these by hand, or use word-processing programs to type information and design the brochure’s layout.

Eeko Travelers: Exploring Diversity In this lesson students will explore the diversity of five distinct ecosystems. They will use EekoWorld ‘s interactive site ( The Environment ) as they learn about plants and wildlife, threats to different ecosystems, and ways that people have made positive changes in the environment. They will conduct Internet research, create a travel brochure that highlights what they have learned about ecosystems, and stage a class presentation.

All About Our Town: Using Brochures to Teach Informational Writing Students create brochures using print and nonprint resources. Teachers can modify the lesson so that students are creating a travel brochure about an ecosystem (such as the tundra) instead of one about the local community.

ILLUSTRATED CHILDREN’S BOOKS

Creating children’s books can provide an age-appropriate, engaging, and authentic purpose for student writing. Students could create illustrated books (alphabet, rhyming, nonrhyming) after researching a biome and reading a variety of published books on the subject. They could share their work with a class of younger students learning about ecosystems, or add their books to the school library.

Making Books with Children Ideas for creating a variety of books. Each page includes a printable pdf with illustrated directions.

A-Z: Learning About the Alphabet Book Genre Students learn about the alphabet book genre and create class and individual alphabet books.

Q is for Duck: Using Alphabet Books with Struggling Writers In this lesson, students investigate alphabet books, examine their different structures, and finally create their own alphabet books using a structure of their choice.

DIORAMAS/TRIORAMAS

Some students are more engaged with a three-dimensional project than with a two-dimensional drawing, brochure, or collage. Shoebox dioramas are a classic and popular option. Students can create their own plants and animals from clay or use pictures from magazines. Another option, the triorama, is created by folding, cutting, and gluing a piece of heavy paper (such as cardstock) to form a pyramid shape. Students can draw on the triorama, or create paper figures to illustrate plants and animals. Finally, students can create four trioramas and glue them back-to-back to create a 360-degree view of their selected biome.

Biome Discovery Expedition Students take virtual expeditions to the world’s biomes and create a three-dimensional model of one of them. Includes the student-friendly site What’s It Like Where You Live? .

At Home in a Biome Students create a poster with illustrations of six major biomes, then create a diorama of one biome. Includes directions and rubrics.

Triorama Directions Illustrated directions on making a triorama by folding, cutting, and gluing or stapling heavy paper.

LIFE-SIZED MODELS

The most demanding of the projects in terms of time, space, and resources, life-sized models allow students to experience the model biome firsthand. Groups of students may research a biome and then create a large model in a corner of the classroom. Students (and parents) can walk through the biome and observe characteristic species. Alternatively, groups may create a booth or station that provides an experience or hands-on activity related to the biome. Each group serves as a “tour guide” of its biome, combining oral presentation skills with the artistic abilities needed for the building of the model. These types of projects are best accomplished in well-organized cooperative groups !

Biome Bazaar This lesson simulates a field trip in which students visit various biomes and perform several sensory activities to learn about the world’s ecological communities. Originally written for middle school students but can be modified for upper elementary students.

The Hobbit's Middle-earth: A Complete Travel Guide

05.12.2023 // By Tome Tailor

Welcome to Middle-earth, the fantastical realm brought to life through the vivid imagination of J.R.R. Tolkien! Tolkien’s world has enchanted readers and movie viewers alike, drawing us into the epic tales of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series. Middle-earth offers breathtaking landscapes, magical creatures, and a rich history filled with adventure, lore, and wonder. In this comprehensive travel guide, we will take you on an unforgettable journey through the iconic regions of Middle-earth featured in The Hobbit .

Note: For the sake of this travel guide, we’ll be focusing on the locations mentioned in The Hobbit . For a complete Middle-earth experience, don’t forget to check out our guide to The Lord of the Rings trilogy as well!

Our journey begins in the verdant lands of The Shire, home of the Hobbits - a peaceful and happy folk who love their food, drink, and simple pleasures. The Shire embodies the idyllic rural life, filled with lush hills, fields, woodlands, and winding rivers. Hobbiton, one of the primary towns in The Shire, offers visitors a glimpse of the quaint Hobbit lifestyle, with their famous round doors and cozy, earth-embedded homes, called smials. Make sure to drop by the Green Dragon Inn, a popular local spot to savor some home-brewed ale and hearty meals while enjoying live music, gossip, and tales of adventure.

Next stop on our journey is Rivendell, the fabled elven refuge located in the hidden valley of Imladris. Known for its breathtaking beauty and timeless allure, Rivendell offers a sanctuary from the weariness and danger that can often accompany travel in Middle-earth. Its resplendent architecture, enchanting gardens, and the famous waterfall called the “Bridge of Rivendell” make this elven paradise an essential destination for any Middle-earth adventure.

The Misty Mountains

As we venture forth, we come across the towering peaks of the Misty Mountains. Stretching over a thousand miles, these formidable mountains are home to an array of dangerous and mysterious creatures - including goblins, wargs, eagles, and stone giants. Here, adventurers will encounter the infamous Goblin-town, where Bilbo Baggins meets Gollum and acquires the One Ring. If daring enough, visitors can journey through the hidden passage of the High Pass or the more treacherous (and less recommended) Redhorn Pass.

After the Misty Mountains, we plunge into the depths of Mirkwood - a dark and twisted forest once known as Greenwood the Great. Its once-beautiful trees and glades have been poisoned by evil, making it an eerie and perilous place to visit. As you traverse its shadowy paths filled with giant spiders and other dangerous creatures, be sure to stay on the Elvenpath to avoid becoming hopelessly lost. Dare to visit the Woodland Realm of the Silvan Elves, governed by the enigmatic Thranduil, and experience their unique culture while feasting on their exceptional wine.

The Lonely Mountain (Erebor)

Finally, our voyage leads us to the historical and awe-inspiring Lonely Mountain, or Erebor. Long ago, this once-great Dwarvish kingdom was seized by the terrifying dragon Smaug, and its immense hoard of gold has been the subject of many legends. Upon reaching its summit, you can explore the ruined halls and chambers of the once-magnificent dwarven palace. Be sure to visit the hidden door where Bilbo and the Dwarves entered the mountain, and catch a glimpse of the enormous dragon hoard and the breathtaking Arkenstone - the heart of the mountain.

As we conclude our journey through Middle-earth, we hope you’ve been inspired by the breathtaking landscapes, legendary history, and cultural depth that J.R.R. Tolkien crafted in his tales of The Hobbit .

Are you ready to embark on your own adventure through Middle-earth? Don’t miss the opportunity to delve deeper into this enchanting world by reading or listening to The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Begin your adventure by purchasing the book here!

Happy travels!

Check Out This Awesome (And informative!) Middle Earth Travel Guide

Image of Victoria McNally

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smug is only a month away from being released, so it’s time to get obsessed with Middle Earth all over again. In order to get us reacquainted with Tolkien’s magical realm,  HRS UK  put together this lovely travel guide so you won’t find yourself saying the wrong thing to the locals.

While the explanations of all the different locations in Middle Earth are pretty great, what really made us buy into this travel guide was the “etiquette” and “Staying Safe” sections, which teaches you all about the different races and what  not  to say to them. Now you’ll know exactly what to do if you ever get stuck traveling with a hobbit. The trick is to eat a whole lot. Like, all the time.

Welcome to Earth: a travel guide for aliens

This week’s apparent discovery of a megastructure orbiting a star surely means extraterrestrial tourists will soon start arriving. They’ll need this handy guide ...

A number of media sources are reporting that astronomers have spotted what may be a giant megastructure orbiting a distant star . Such a thing could only be the work of advanced aliens, capable of engineering and building on such a scale that it becomes visible from light years away.

In fairness, it’s probably not that . That’s just one interpretation of the unusual readings from a certain star, and an unlikely one at that. But it’s the most interesting interpretation, so obviously it’s getting the most attention.

But even if we haven’t found advanced aliens, that doesn’t mean we never will. And once they become aware of us in turn, what’s to stop them from coming to visit? But this isn’t necessarily a bad thing; tourism and leisure are great for an economy, and this would be a whole new market. Alien visitors should be encouraged, so here’s a brief not-so-lonely-planet guide for aliens vacationing on Earth.

EPHM51 Emirates Airbus A380 landing at Auckland International Airport, Auckland, North Island, New Zealand

Earth is a charming blue-green world on the outskirts of the main galaxy , away from the more busy regions. This does mean the infrastructure for accommodating spaceship arrival is very limited. You will be expected to make your own way to the planet’s surface. Remember to avoid the fragile satellite network when doing so, and do bear in mind that the atmosphere is quite dense (increasingly so) so entering it can become incredibly hot if you enter at certain angles .

Please use common sense when arriving at Earth; remember the restrictions and abilities of your craft and adhere to them wisely, and try not to arrive in to obvious or elaborate a fashion or, upon landing, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the local life forms, who will try to steal your craft/ dissect you / form a religion around you .

ACCOMODATION

Earth offers a wide variety of environments for any beings capable of existing in a nitrogen/oxygen atmosphere . Empty spaces can usually be found in any of the differing climates, but try to avoid the more densely populated areas if you haven’t been thoroughly vaccinated or find the odour of human sweat unpleasant. Those visitors who photosynthesise are advised to stick to the Polar Regions where sunlight is available for far longer than more equatorial regions .

If you’re willing to travel further out, the Sol system has an excellent selection of planets to cater for the more exotic metabolisms. Venus is ideal for those more used to extreme heat and pressure , whereas Mars is better for visitors from more arid climates (although they have just installed water ). There is also a choice of 4 gas giants, and Pluto is a delightful place for anyone who prefers temperatures around absolute zero.

If you want to stay on Mercury, you’d be advised to book ahead; its small size means it tends to fill up fast due to the excellent views of the Sun .

Virgin Trains operating company, 43 class High Speed Diesel Train, East Coast Main Line Railway,

You would be advised to rely on your own forms of transport if you wish to see as much of Earth as possible. While there are many transport systems in place, operating via road, rail, sea and air, they tend to vary considerably from place to place and end up being very confusing for anyone not familiar with the society/technology/gravity.

Your own craft would be essential if you wish to explore any of the other planets in the system. The fastest human vehicles still take several months to get to the nearest planet , so these aren’t going to be any use for a relaxing day trip.

Observer Magazine OM Jay Rayner Restaurant review Suvlaki Greek street food restaurant in Soho, London. Lamb shoulder souvlaki

Earth has the best selection of foodstuffs you could hope to find anywhere. The varying climates give rise to an abundance of different edible plants and animal species, and the human inhabitants have worked out countless interesting ways to prepare these for consumption. Anywhere you go on the planet, you’re likely to find something edible and enjoyable.

For any silicon-based life forms, Earth also offers a wide variety of rock types , rich in minerals and delicious crystal formations.

A word of warning for the alien visitor; although they may be the most numerous species and made up of many useful proteins, please do not eat any of the humans. If you do this and are discovered, it’s very likely the rest of the humans will declare war on you and your species. They have a habit of doing this. This may be of no consequence to you given their primitive technology, but it will make for a far less relaxing holiday.

You can help yourself to rats though.

Earth is home to humanity, the most sophisticated of the species that inhabit it. Humans have a wide variety of cultures and practices to intrigue the curious visitor. There are an abundance of religions to investigate, different cities and dwellings, and numerous means of interaction.

Until recently, humans generally preferred to interact with each other via the medium of wars (see above). These days, things have calmed down somewhat and most humans tend to communicate via shiny rectangles, which are highly prized in many cultures . This is facilitated by the internet, which has resulted in a resurgence of the particularly bizarre human habit of worshipping cats .

The waterfall at Milopotamos in Kythera,

There is much to see on Earth. Numerous exotic animal species inhabit the planet ( although be sure to see these quick ). Vast bodies of glorious ice can be seen at the poles ( although be sure to see these quick ). Particularly of interest is a total eclipse. Earth has the extremely rare privilege of having its single moon be at a distance that makes it the exact same size in the sky as the sun, meaning it can cover it entirely when the alignment is right . Be sure to plan ahead for this though .

Failing that, Peter Andre is performing his swing tour in Cardiff this coming March . Might be worth a look.

Dean Burnett still can’t understand why he didn’t get that job at SETI. He’s on Twitter, @garwboy
