Jardins Eiffel is a 3-star hotel and one of the many hotels in Paris with a view of the Eiffel tower. This hotel is ideally located in the center of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower, Musée d’Orsay, and Champs Elysees within walking distance.  

The modern and sophisticated rooms in the hotel are all soundproofed and feature a private balcony with some offering views of the Eiffel Tower. The only downside is that the rooms are small but meet Parisian standards.

Jardins Eiffel has an outdoor terrace and garden, a business center, and a breakfast room. Facilities that Jardins Eiffel does not have are a full restaurant, bar, fitness center, and spa.

2. Best Western Au Trocadero

Best Western Au Trocadero is a 3-star hotel in a mostly residential district, although the Arc de Triomphe and Musee Chaillot is just a few minutes’ walk away.

The rooms are neat and feature modern yet casual décor, air conditioners, and tea and coffee facilities.

This elegant yet casual hotel has a hair and beauty salon, a coffee house, a snack bar, a convenience store, and several other facilities. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a restaurant on site.

3. Hotel Duquesne

Hotel Duquesne is located in the 7th arrondissement with the Parc du Champs de Mars just a 5-minute walk away. The hotel is one of the most petite yet most charming hotels in Paris with an Eiffel Tower view.  

The rooms within the hotel are a bit on the smaller side, but they all are soundproofed and have a flat-screen TV and free WiFi. There are nine rooms in the hotel called the superior rooms, which have beautiful views of either the Invalides monument, the Ecole Militaire building, or the Eiffel Tower.

The hotel does not have luxurious facilities however, there is a historic vaulted stone room where you can enjoy the daily buffets. The hotel also has a 24-hour lobby bar with a selection of single-malt whiskey and a Mac desktop in the lobby that you can use at any time.

Hotel Le Walt is a small 4-star boutique hotel located in the 7th arrondissement, just a short walk from the Champ de Mars and Grand Palais. 

The rooms in Hotel Le Walt come with a flat-screen TV, a minibar, and an air conditioner. Some of the rooms have an Eiffel Tower view from the hotel, so make sure you book a room on the higher floors that face the street to get a look at the Iron Lady. 

Hotel Le Walt is quite small, so there are not many facilities such as a spa, fitness center, or restaurant. However, the hotel has a courtyard and outdoor terrace with covered seating where you can enjoy French treats from the buffet.

The rooms in the hotel are quite small and feature contemporary Parisian décor that is mostly white, purple, and black. Although most of the rooms have a view of the Eiffel Tower, one of the privileged rooms has a closer view of the beautiful Iron Lady.

Although the hotel faces the Eiffel Tower, only some of the rooms and suites will have a view of the Iron Lady.

The worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. Terrible attitude from staff, we asked for more crepes at breakfast, the waitress screamed across the room that breakfast had closed. All staff seem disengaged and have to argue before assisting with anything. This has marred my family vist to Paris. Disgraceful.

We stayed at the Mercure Eiffel Tower on 25/04-26/04 and the lady at reception (I asked her to write down her name at back of paper with room keys, but I gave it back to front desk on my check out, I am sorry so I don’t have her name precisely. I think it was something like Chrisianne . Lady is slim, black with short hair). She was just amazing. She had the warmth and elegance of a great hostess and at the same time she was professional and precise on her information and procedures. Above all I was impressed by her discretion and awareness of her role. I was so touched with her outstanding service and will certainly be back at the hotel because of how she made us feel welcome. Congratulations on such an amazing professional. Please pass on our compliments to her.

A stay at any Shangri-La Hotel is characterized by world-class service, beautiful architecture and design, and unforgettable dining experiences. Shangri-La Hotel Paris is no different.

In Paris, you truly cannot beat the Shangri-La Hotel in terms of opulence and views! This is easily the most exquisite hotel palace on this list, located in the 16th arrondissement across the Seine and facing the Eiffel Tower.

Some of the suites at the hotel offer amazing in-your-face views of the Eiffel Tower . Aside from the Signature Suites, all rooms and suites are decorated in shades of blue, white and ecru, in keeping with both European Empire and Asian aesthetics.

The tasteful blue and gold accents in the room make it so it’s almost like it’s a room straight out of Disney’s Beauty and The Beast .

All rooms have a separate living room with a desk and a marble bathroom with heated flooring, a separate bath, a rainfall shower, and Guerlain toiletries.

The Peninsula Paris

The Peninsula Paris is another palace-grade luxury hotel in Paris featuring views of the Eiffel Tower. This is one of the city’s top luxury hotels that not many hotels can rival (unless you’re the Hôtel Plaza Athénée or the Shangri-La Paris, of course)!

Perhaps their most standout feature is their rooftop restaurant with 360° views over Paris.

Located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, guests will be granted many opportunities to enjoy the Eiffel Tower, as well as the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees.

The Peninsula houses 200 luxurious rooms, including 93 suites, all inspired by Haute Couture. The massive rooms are adorned with tasteful artworks and elegant furniture and offer a generous dressing area with an expansive closet/storage space.

The huge marble bathrooms feature separate rain showers, deep soaking bathtubs, and luxurious bathroom amenities by Oscar de la Renta.

Outside of the room, there’s a lot to enjoy. Starting with The Kléber Terrace , this is one of the largest outdoor dining terraces in Paris.

Location: 8th arrondissement

Looking for more of a luxury boutique hotel stay near the Eiffel Tower? Look no further than the Hotel San Régis.

Tucked away in a charming and secluded street at the heart of the ‘Golden Triangle’ in the 8th arrondissement, the San Régis is ideally located for enjoying the sights and sound of the Champs-Elysées district, Avenue Montaigne, and the Grand Palais.

If you can manage to snag one of the 42 rooms/suites (hint hint: book early), you’ll be able to enjoy one of the lavishly decorated rooms furnished with fine antique and period furniture.

As a hotel guest, you’re going to be able to enjoy the quiet neighborhood, close proximity to some of the best sights in Paris, amazing and attentive staff, and much more.

If you’re looking to be right up next to the Eiffel Tower, the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel may be the right hotel for you! The location just can’t be beaten if you’re trying to stay as close to the Eiffel Tower as possible.

This 4-star hotel is set at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadero (hint hint: Trocadero Gardens is where people flock for some of the best views of the Eiffel Tower). Decorated in a simple contemporary style, the bright guest rooms offer panoramic views of Paris.

Most of the rooms have a balcony, though only some have close-up views of the Eiffel Tower (others face the garden). All we can say is the balcony views facing the Eiffel Tower are amazing — you literally can’t get closer to the Iron Lady than this.

Pullman Paris is just a 5-minutes walk to the Eiffel and the Bir-Hakeim Metro Station, providing direct access to the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Élysées and Louver Museum.

The hotel has a fitness room and you can enjoy dining on the terrace at the restaurant, Frame.

Hotel Le Walt

Location: Rive Gauche (7th arrondissement)

Hotel Le Walt is a 4-star hotel located on the Rive Gauche in Paris’ 7th arrondissement. The historic charm of this hotel is to die for!

Le Cinq Codet

Le Cinq Codet is a 5-star hotel located in the very chic 7th Arrondissement, situated between the Eiffel Tower and the Invalides Museum. This luxury hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the Hôtel des Invalides , with the Eiffel Tower being about a 10 to 15 minute walk away.

No visit to Paris would be complete without an up-close glimpse of the iconic Eiffel Tower — or a visit to the top of it!

The Eiffel Tower was originally built as the entrance arch for the 1889 World’s Fair (Exposition Universelle) held in Paris to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution.

Designed by engineer Gustave Eiffel, the tower was initially met with mixed reactions from the public and the artistic community — some people hated it and thought it was the ugliest thing in the world. Some people criticized its unconventional design and perceived it as an eyesore, while others appreciated its innovative engineering and monumental scale.

However, over time, the Eiffel Tower became an iconic symbol of Paris and one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. Everyone today is completely obsessed with it!

For the best views of the Eiffel Tower, head to Trocadéro Gardens , located across the Seine River. Here, you’ll find the perfect vantage point to admire the tower’s intricate design and towering presence against the Parisian skyline.

Another popular spot for front-row views is from the Champ de Mars , where you can enjoy a leisurely picnic while gazing up at the Eiffel Tower in all its splendor.

If you’re looking to explore the Eiffel Tower on a deeper level, you can buy tickets to visit its upper levels.

The line to visit the Eiffel Tower can be incredibly long (we’re talking 2+ hours wait on the busiest days). Who wants to spend their time in line when they’re on vacation though???

You have two options to avoid this fiasco: booking your tickets in advance or opt for a skip-the-line tour .

The cheapest way to visit the Eiffel Tower is to purchase your tickets in advance  online on the official website , but these tend to sell out almost as soon as they become available (60 days in advance). If they are sold out, get  this skip-the-line tour instead, which costs just slightly more than the basic ticket cost. 

You can take the elevator or climb the stairs to the first and second levels, where you’ll be treated to sweeping views of Paris’s landmarks. On one side you’ll see the Arc de Triomphe, on the other you’ll see the Notre-Dame, and more!

Pro Tip: The lines for the elevators are very long, while the lines for the stairs are much shorter. Online tickets for the elevator go on sale 60 days in advance. Online tickets for the stairs go on sale 14 days in advance. 

You could also venture to the tippy top of the Eiffel Tower, where you can step out onto the observation deck and marvel at the cityscape below. Enjoy a glass of either rosé or white champagne at the champagne bar located at the top before you continue wandering.

For a dose of history, visit the Gustave Eiffel Room to learn about the tower’s fascinating history and engineering marvels.

And if you’re celebrating something special and have the budget to splurge, you can dine in style at one of the tower’s acclaimed restaurants , such as the legendary Michelin-starred Le Jules Verne .

Take a river cruise to see the Eiffel Tower

One of my favorite ways to see Paris when visiting with first-timers is to take a scenic cruise along the Seine River aboard a riverboat (like Vedettes De Paris ), where you can admire the city’s landmarks illuminated against the setting sun.

From the comfort of your boat, enjoy panoramic views of iconic sights like Notre-Dame Cathedral, Musée d’Orsay, Museum of Modern Art, the Louvre Museum, all the famous bridges Paris is known for , and of course, the Eiffel Tower! There’s also commentary, so you’ll be able to understand what all the buildings are that you’re passing by.

If you’re feelin’ fancy, you can do what we did and upgrade/order champagne to elevate your boat ride!

Have a dinner picnic at Champ de Mars

As I said earlier, the Champ de Mars is an iconic spot to get front-row seats to enjoy the Eiffel Tower in all its glory.

Grab some takeaway dinner from around the area (don’t forget the cheese, meats, or drinks!), find a seat on the sprawling lawn, and enjoy the Eiffel Tower vibes along with everyone else.

Pro Tip: Seeing the Eiffel Tower at night is cool because of the twinkling lights that happen on the hour every evening from sundown to 1 AM. The lights twinkle for about 5 minutes total.
