  • erinmlong33 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Food tour with family of 6 Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the food, company and our guide, Nick. It was a great introduction to the food and culture of Albuquerque. Nick was very friendly and made the whole group feel at thome. He gave us the history of each food and their significance to the New Mexican culture. He answered all of our questions and gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip. We were also able to see a Fiesta which added to the experience. I highly recommend this tour. Read more Written June 12, 2019
  • lindakmom 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles It ended as a private tour! What a great tour! We started with the posole which was delicious as was the cucumber margarita. On to high noon for appetizers and entree samples! Delicious. Not too spicy with lots of restaurant history! On for a walk around Old Town with Nick. The extra dessert was delicious and we learned so much! Food tours are always a great way to explore a city! Read more Written April 30, 2019
  • kstead 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great food tour! We just finished a food tour of Albuquerque with our guide, joe. It was great! We started at the Hotel Albuquerque which is a cool venue, and has tastings at guardunos inside the hotel. And not just tasting, LOTS of great food, Posole, sopapillas, mini margaritas. It was delicious. From there we had nice walks with some info about old town and 3 or 4 other stops. green Chile stew, red chili steak bites, some beer, tea, and a Nice dessert (natillas?). Everything was wonderful and so was joe, fun and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour. Read more Written January 11, 2019
  • Morgan G 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Wonderful! This was one of the first things we did on our visit to Albuquerque and it was wonderful!! We not only went to wonderful restaurants but we also got a nice little tour of Old Town! I would highly recommend this to anyone going to New Mexico especially if you are a foodie! Good history, family-owned restaurants, and yummy food! Thank you for the great experience. Read more Written October 23, 2018
  • Inasso 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Half day tour This was absolutely incredible. We had the owners mom give us the tour and we could not have been happier. The locations and the interaction with us describing the different fares was awesome. Food was out of this world. Read more Written July 29, 2018
  • Oahuvistor 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Wonderful Evening Nick greeted us at Hotel Albuquerque to begin the tour at Garduno's. After learning about and sampling posole and cucumber margaritas (I would have never ordered this but loved it, it paired beautifully with the posole) we visited 4 other establishments. At each stop we sampled both food and drinks. The walk was short inbetween stops and Nick was excellent at pointing out areas of historical significance. Our favorites were the Red Chile Tenderloin at High Noon and the Natilla dessert at Church St. Cafe. The best part of the tour was trying items that I probably wouldn't have chosen and finding new favorites. We were stuffed when we were done so there is plenty of food. We had 5 in our party and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend! Read more Written June 14, 2018
  • Tom F 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great Tour Our guide Nick met us at Hotel Albuquerque where we had our initial course. We visited 4 restaurants on the tour which were very reasonable distances from each other. We did a dinner tour which started at 4pm, so it was hot outside. The walks were all flat... no stairs and not too far from each other. The selection of food was great if you like Southwest cuisine. The portions were just right and Nick was very professional in his conduct of the tour. We has a great time. Worth considering if you have some time and feel like a walk. • egant347 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles No show! Very disappointed with a no show tour guide! Waited at appointed time & place for over 40 minutes! Called twice & left message! Finally got a call back over 2 hours later! I knew about the minimum and when I rec'd no text or email thought we were good to go! I would think twice before I book this tour! • lucyp40 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Tour refunded without explanation We booked this tour based on past reviews and were really looking forward to eating our way around Albuquerque. This morning we received a email notification that our "requested refund had been processed". We didn't request a refund and our email reply to rebook on another day is still unanswered. Guess we're on our own to explore the Albuquerque food scene! Read more Written April 29, 2018
  • MissB65 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Tour cancelled with minimal notice We were staying in Albuquerque and planned a trip to Sante Fe based on the booking that was confirmed in late March to do this food tour. We received a text message as we arrived in Sante Fe, less than 40 minutes before the scheduled arrival time that the tour was cancelled. This left us no time to schedule another tour with a different company or reschedule for another day. Unacceptable in my world. Was given conflicting reasons for cancellation; circumstances beyond their control;not enough people signed up. If you want to do a food tour and you have limited time make sure and book with a company that doesn't have a minimum person policy. There are tours that will take only 2 people.... • suedtonk 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great food -- Awesome guide Carlos was our guide to four fabulous restaurants and two "hot spots" in "Old Town" Albuquerque. Not only was the food out of this world but Carlos was engaging, knowledgeable and a wonderful guide. Our personal favorites were the posole, the bison sliders, and beef tenderloin bites served in a terrific red chile sauce. A dessert of natillas was to die for - sweet and delectable. We felt like a member of the family (and/or VIPs) rather than "customers" as we went from restaurant to restaurant meeting the owners and staff. Highly recommend this tour and please - ask for Carlos ... he's a terrific guy!! Read more Written October 15, 2017
  • davidjensen399 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Well worth the money!! At first glance you may think it's a bit expensive for a food tour; $75 plus taxes etc. but it was so, so good. Our guide was Carlos. He was fantastic; friendly, knowledgeable about the area and food and good company. We were a pary of four so it was a personable experience. We started out with posole, sopapillas and cucumber margaritas at Gardunos. Our next stop was Seasons for American kobe beef green chile slider with waffle fries and an elephant on parade beer. (grapefruit wheat beer) It was delish!! Next stop was the High noon resaturant and bar for mini margaritas, steak bits, pork carnits and carne esada tacos and a brie empanada that was served with a green chile chutney, roasted garlic and raspberry coulis. That could be a meal in itself. We then stopped at the Old Barrel Tea Co. to sample a few teas then on to our last stop Church Street Cafe for flan. We were stuffed to the brim after all this food! It was all so very good and a real variety of things to try.So run don't walk to Food Tour New Mexico!!! (Christa) Read more Written September 19, 2017
  • Peggy T 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Worth the Money With Nick as our guide, we visited and tasted local dishes at Old Town restaurants. We enjoyed Nick, the tour, and the food. I particularly liked the stop at a tea shop that provided samples. I tasted and bought blueberry and lemongrass teas. Read more Written July 28, 2017
