Jackson Wang is getting ready to hit the road. On Wednesday (Sept. 28), the GOT7 member announced his plans for a world tour in support of his recently released album, Magic Man .

Wang revealed the details of his 2022-2023 trek via his social media accounts, excitedly writing, “Finally. The 1st time in my life I get to properly tour now. After all this … MAGIC MAN WORLD TOUR 2022-2023 #MAGICMAN is coming. See u there. I promise it’s different.”

In 2023, the 28-year-old will take his tour to London on Jan. 12, and to Paris three days later on Jan. 15. Dubai is also getting a visit, with Wang performing on Feb. 4. The tour poster, which features the singer in a leather jacket, states “and more,” hinting at possible tour dates to come.

Wang released Magic Man , his second solo studio album, on Sept. 9; it debuted at No. 15 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. The set charted even higher on Billboard ‘s Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts at No. 3.

Speaking with People , Wang explained that Magic Man is “way more extreme than all the stuff that I’ve released in the past. And I think it’s because on this album, I’m in my most raw form that I’ve ever been in my career as a solo artist, just not caring about whoever I was and whatever I had before. And [I] just want to go for being completely me and with no filter.”

The GOT7 member arrives in Latin America as a solo artist. Tickets go on pre-sale for Jackson Wang’s “Magic Man” show in Mexico this Friday.

Jackson Wang kicking off in Mexico with his “Magic Man” world tour. The GOT7 member joins the list of k-pop concerts in Latin America for this 2023 with a show in Mexico City. According to merchandise leaks from the tour, the Hong Kong-born soloist may also visit some South American countries. For now, the show in the Mexican capital is confirmed to be the first and tickets go on sale later this week. What to know about prices and how to buy tickets for Jackson concerts at CDMX?

According to Star’s official account, Jackson Wang will perform on May 25 at the CDMX Arena. The show will start at 9 pm (local time). “I’m not a mystery, I’m just magic” is the motto of the tour which has already visited countries in Southeast Asia and Europe.

Jackson Wang in Mexico 2023: ticket prices

With less than 24 hours left for ticket sales in Mexico, the distribution of zones and prices for Jackson’s concert have not yet been published. However, some fans noted the cost of tickets for K-pop boyband Super Junior to perform at the Arena in February.

In the specific case of Super Junior, tickets cost 3,999 Mexican pesos in the VIP court area, 2,890 pesos for first level seats or the Red Zone, 2,490 for the Yellow Zone and 1,990 pesos for the Green Zone. The cheapest one for SUJU in Upper Zone is 990 Mexican Peso.

Update (26 Jan 18:00)

Network users share that an error occurred on the Super Ticket page on Thursday. The bug exposed the average price of tickets for the tour. Tickets will range from 565 pesos to 7,550 Mexican pesos, depending on the occupation.

The leak caught by internet users shows four types of VIP packages priced at 7,550 pesos, 5,550 pesos, 5,250 pesos and 3,650 pesos. Superboletos has not yet confirmed these figures on its social networks.

The authorized and official ticket holder for Jackson’s performances at CDMX is Superboletos. To receive updates about the concerts “Magic Man Tour” it is recommended to subscribe to your social networks.

Dyne Hong praised, "a tour de force of entertainment," complimenting the visuals and stage designs, which made it "unforgettable." Hong added, "the expertly-crafted stage, high-energy crowd, stunning special effects, and multiple encores made for a truly theatrical experience." [4] In a review for San Francisco Chronicle , Todd Inoue detailed, "he took the audience through an emotional 2½-hour journey split into four acts: Fame, Isolation, Redemption and Acceptance. Each segment was broken up by video vignettes, signaling a momentum shift." Inoue continued, "After 25 songs, the concert was Wang's epiphanic statement on the price of fame and the value of personal power. More impressive than his physical feats was his mindset—he was less of a magician and more of a motivator, imploring his fans to manifest the magic inside them." [5] Writing for Atlas Artist Group, Olivia Khiel similarly called it "unforgettable," summarizing, "The first half of his extensive set let us into his emotional, vulnerable side while also getting the audience up to dance along." Of the final half, they said, "When Wang next emerged, the energy shift from restrained to aggressive was palpable. […] He's not afraid to explore his seductive side, a fact that everyone in attendance was more than happy to witness." [6]

Wang’s “I’m not a mystery, I’m just magic” tour kicks off April 26 at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium. The six-date run will then visit San Francisco, Vancouver, Chicago and Toronto before finishing up in New York on May 11.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10am local time on January 20, and will be available here . A pre-sale is set to take place January 18.

Wang announced the first leg of his ‘Magic Man’ world tour last year , with three shows in Southeast Asia. He started 2023 with a London headline show and tomorrow (January 15) he’s set to play Paris before a February headline show in Dubai.

During a recent show in Bangkok, Wang gave some fans a lap-dance and embraced the front row while carrying a bottle of alcohol.

The new tour dates are the latest addition to the ongoing world tour, which just wrapped up its London leg and will be headed to Paris and Dubai in the next couple of weeks. Last year, the multihyphenate performed sold-out concerts across Asia from Singapore  to Bangkok, plus headlining stints at Head In The Clouds Jakarta  and Manila.

Singer, performer, and producer Jackson Wang announces his first-ever North American tour dates as a solo act for his MAGIC MAN World Tour.

The limited six-city tour will make stops in major cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and more. See below for a full list of tour dates. Jackson will return for the 2nd year in a row to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 16th and April 23rd at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California ahead of headliner Frank Ocean. For information on purchasing tickets, visit here .

Jackson kicked off his MAGIC MAN World Tour with sold out shows in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London and Paris to celebrate the release of his sophomore album MAGIC MAN (TEAM WANG records/88rising Records/Warner Records/RYCE MUSIC GROUP) featuring previously released singles "Blue," "Cruel" and "Blow."

The album received widespread critical acclaim from the likes of Associated Press, NPR, Vulture, The Daily Beast, Consequence, UPROXX, and more. Jackson Wang is a Chinese singer, record producer, creative director, and founder of TEAM WANG. Jackson was a sabre fencer for Hong Kong's fencing team-He was ranked eleventh in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. And throughout Jackson's sports career, he won first place at three Asian competitions, three national competitions, and nine international and Hong Kong competitions.

Where Is Jackson Wang? The GOT7 Member Is Racking Up Major Accolades And Awards Despite Low Media Coverage

The name Jackson Wang is familiar to many K-Pop fans across different generations. As a member of GOT7 , one of K-Pop’s third generation’s most popular groups, Jackson gained attention for his musicality and personality.

Before and after the group’s departure from JYP Entertainment and their focus on individual activities, Jackson made a name for himself as a solo artist and all-around content creator. The idol has branched out into multiple ventures, including e-sports and his own  Team Wang Design   streetwear brand.

Following the release of  Magic Man , Jackson seemed to constantly be in the headlines as he toured worldwide, impressing audiences at massive events like  Coachella. 

However, after his  Magic Man  concerts in Latin America, the idol seemed to disappear, popping up in Thailand for some brand-related content and at Paris Fashion Week as an ambassador for Louis Vuitton .

A possible reason for the lack of media coverage, at least from K-Media, is he has been promoting in China — keeping busy and racking up various awards and honors!

For one, Jackson has continued his  Magic Man tour in China to sold-out audiences, besides the one occasion he had to postpone a show, refunding fans for expenses besides the concert tickets.

November saw the release of his latest line of Team Wang Design, a collaboration with FILA FUSION, for a set of new athletic wear. In addition to holding a fashion show release event, Jackson participated in the on-the-street “ninja” promotion.

Award-wise, Jackson may not have appeared at any Korean award shows in 2023, but he has received plenty of praise for his work this year.

Jackson took home the “Most Influential Overseas Artist of the Year” award at the  Tencent Video All Star Night 2023 ceremony and won “Record Of The Year” along with two other distinctions from the  Asian Pop Music Awards.

The idol also took a step in the production direction he aimed for when he was announced to be a producer for Chuang Asia Thailand, a spin-off of  Produce Camp . Jackson will be the survival show’s lead mentor, set to air in February 2024.

The label that he co-founded, RYCE Entertainment , will debut the winning team.

Most recently, Jackson was announced to be part of  Forbes “30 Under 30 China” list. “30 Under 30” recognizes the “ brightest young entrepreneurs, leaders, and stars ” in different regions worldwide.

Singer, performer, and producer Jackson Wang announces his first-ever North American tour dates as a solo act for his MAGIC MAN World Tour . The limited six-city tour will make a stop in Vancouver on April 30 at Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre.  Jackson kicked off his MAGIC MAN World Tour with sold out shows in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London and Paris  to celebrate the release of his sophomore album MAGIC MAN (TEAM WANG records/88rising Records/Warner Records/RYCE MUSIC GROUP) featuring previously released singles “Blue,” “Cruel” and “Blow.” The album received widespread critical acclaim from the likes of Associated Press, NPR, Vulture, The Daily Beast, Consequence, UPROXX , and more. It debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s “Top Current Sales” & “Top Album Sales” the week of release and at No. 15 on Billboard 200 marking Jackson’s highest charting album.

Jackson Wang Announces North American Dates For ‘Magic Man World Tour’

Save the date. The Magic Man is coming.

After making stops in Asia and Europe last year, the MAGIC MAN World Tour is finally making its way to North America this spring. Making the initial announcement on his social channels today (January 13), multi-talented pop icon Jackson Wang will bring the tour to six North American cities — four in the US and two in Canada.

The tour will kick off in Los Angeles, California’s Shrine Auditorium on April 16 and will make its way east then conclude in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclay’s Center. In addition to his tour announcement, it was revealed Jackson Wang (as well as fellow 88rising artists DPR Live and DPR Ian) will bring the MAGIC MAN show to the desert at Coachella. Scheduled to perform on the Sunday lineup (April 16 and 23) of the annual music and arts festival, you can catch a glimpse of what Jackson Wang’s concert will look like at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California ahead of Frank Ocean’s set. This comes after Jackson made history as the first Chinese soloist to perform at Coachella as part of 88rising’s Head in the Clouds Forever set last year.
