The MTB was great again. Marcus Henderson is worth the price of admission. He is a phenomenal flute, sax, keyboard and vocal performer and a pleasure to talk with. It was an odd venue for sure, but that did not stop the band from putting on a great show

Saw the MTB on the Southern Rock Cruise, still can play the tunes and Marcus Harrison the flute, keyboard and sometimes vocals is worth the admission. Doug Gray is the leader and seems more about keeping Southern Rock alive, but the voice is still pretty good. To see and sing along is still a treat, never know how much longer they will keep playing, so go and see when they come to town.

Unfortunately the lead singer was sick and did not do much singing. The band was good but they did not play Heard it in a Love Song!!!!! We were very disappointed. Of course it’s been over 20 years since I saw them perform so I guess the lead singer, Doug Gray, is not what he used to be. Too much talking and instrumental.

Southern rockers The Marshall Tucker Band have shared details for 2022 tour dates. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the band's formation, the newly announced concerts are planned from January into April at venues across America.

Select dates will feature opening acts like Traffic guitarist Dave Mason, The Outlaws, Kentucky Headhunters, Firefall, and/or Bertie Higgins. Marshall Tucker is currently on the road doing headlining dates and also have one concert with Alabama to close out 2021.

When do the marshall tucker band 2022 tour tickets go on sale and what is the presale code.

Tickets for the previously announced shows are now on sale. For the other new dates, the general public on-sale begins as early as November 19. Presales are currently underway for Capital One cardmembers, Live Nation, LN Mobile App, and local venues/radio. Keep in mind, each date is different and details are subject to change.

In 2022, The Marshall Tucker Band celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Rather than calling it quits after that momentous achievement, the band is back on the road yet again in 2023 for their 21-concert ‘Infinite Road Tour.’

Along the way, the Southern-fried rockers will stop into Westbury, NY’s NYCB Theatre on May 21, Batavia, NY’s Batavia Downs on July 21 and Englewood, NJ’s Bergen Performing Arts Center on July 22.

Southern-Rock Pioneers the Marshall Tucker Band Announce 2019 Fall Tour

Forty-seven years since forming in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and despite losing some of its original members, the Marshall Tucker Band remain on the road. The Southern-rock pioneers, best known for hits like “Can’t You See,” “Fire on the Mountain,” and “Heard It in a Love Song,” have announced a new 2019 fall tour that spans 36 shows.

Dubbed the Through Hell & High Water…and Back Tour, the second leg of their ongoing trek kicks off in Washington state on September 5th and plays cities from St. Louis to Sioux City, Iowa. Singer Doug Gray, a founding member of the band, says he and the group know no other life than one lived on the road.

“I live for this and our loyal fans have never let us down,” says Gray, who offers that other shows are already booked for 2020, but not yet announced. Fellow Southern rockers the Outlaws are on select dates, along with .38 Special and up-and-comer Kyle Daniel.

Formed in 1972, the Marshall Tucker Band shot to fame with 1973’s “Can’t You See,” a song that would end up being covered by Waylon Jennings, Zac Brown Band, Hank Williams Jr., and the Charlie Daniels Band.

The Marshall Tucker Band and Jefferson Starship Team Up for 2024 Tour

The Marshall Tucker Band  and Jefferson Starship  are reuniting for a joint tour. The two bands are teaming up on the 2024 Live on Cloud 9 Tour that takes them across the Northwest in February and March on the first leg of the tour that kicks off on February 29 in El Cajon, California, and wraps up on March 10 in Airway Heights, Washington. More dates are expected to be announced. Tickets go on sale on October 20 at 9 a.m. local time.

“We have a storied history with Jefferson Starship,” The Marshall Tucker Band frontman Doug Gray says in a press release. “We toured together many years ago and the timing feels right for us to reunite. We’re on Cloud 9! We will be announcing many more dates very soon.”

“We are really looking forward to touring with our buddies, The Marshall Tucker Band,” Jefferson Starship’s Donny Baldwin adds. “We toured back in the day, and it will be a great night of music from two iconic bands.”

Jefferson Starship is a spinoff of Jefferson Airplane, founded in 1974. In 1975, they released their most successful album, Red Octopus, which features one of their hit singles, “Miracles.” They’re also known for “We Built This City,” “With Your Love,” and “Count on Me.” The band has released 11 studio albums since 1974, their most recent being Mother of the Sun in 2020. Starship spent part of the summer of 2023 on Bret Michaels’ Parti-Gras Tour .

Like Jefferson Starship, The Marshall Tucker Band rose to fame in the 1970s with their self-titled debut album in 1973. They achieved their highest-charting song in 1977 with “Heard it in a Love Song” which peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band is named after a man named Marshall Tucker , a blind piano tuner in South Carolina who signed his name on one of the pianos in the studio where the band rehearsed. Tucker passed away in 2023 at the age of 99.
