Made of 100 percent bovine leather with a smart, pebbled finish, we felt it could easily pass as a much more expensive product from a top-tier travel brand. Crafted from weather-resistant PU leather with a magnetic snap closure, the Tigari Passport Holder felt and looked much nicer than we expected given its budget price. We liked the simplicity of its design, with a slip-in section that held our passport securely and a clear window perfect for displaying an immunization or ID card. The wallet also features four bank or business card slots, a larger section for travel documents or cash, and two SIM card slots. We found we were able to fit all of our essentials with space to spare. 

One of our favorite features was the included pen, perfect for filling in immigration documents on the go. This does add to the overall size and bulk of the holder, though, which means we’d be unlikely to use it as our everyday wallet (we found it difficult to fit into a small backpack compartment). Nevertheless, it’s perfect for travel especially because it uses RFID-blocking materials that protect your personal information from potential cyber theft. There is a diverse color selection to choose from, including rose gold, teal, matcha green, and more.

Available in five styles of genuine leather from granulated to crocodile-style calfskin (the cheapest of which is more than 13 times the price of our overall winner), the Lucrin Passport Travel Wallet is certainly a luxury item for wealthy travelers that have literally everything else or a high-end gift. However, after testing, we can confirm that the quality is extremely high, with a buttery feel, perfect stitching, and a sturdiness that suggests this is a one-time investment that will last many years. The wallet comes in a rainbow of colors from lavender to tan or turquoise, and for an additional fee you can have yours monogrammed, change the thread color, or add RFID blocking. 

More than a passport holder, it’s really a slim, elongated wallet with space for all your essentials. It has 13 credit card pockets, three loyalty card pockets, slots for your passport and boarding pass, and a zippered pocket for cash. We loved the all-in-one nature of this holder, which we found could even fit a phone or slimline Kindle. You could use it on its own or fit it into a medium-to-large purse or backpack. Despite its large size, we didn’t find it cumbersome on any of the four flights we took it on. The organization is intuitive and we appreciated the sense of security offered by the zippered section and button latch.

We were pleasantly surprised by the sturdy build and quality feel of the Melsbrinna Waterproof Travel Wallet, despite it being made of faux leather. We felt it was worth considerably more than its budget price, making this a stylish steal. It scores extra points for aesthetics by coming in almost every color imaginable from burgundy to mint green, as well several prints including panda and blossom. The holder is secured by a magnetic snap button closure and features RFID-blocking technology. 

Storage includes a passport sleeve, which held our passport securely, but still allowed us to remove and replace it easily at airport security. The wallet also has four bank card slots; two SIM card slots; a larger section for holding boarding cards or cash; and a page-style, dual-sided clear plastic slot perfect for your driving license or state ID. We loved this product’s small size (we easily fit it in a fanny pack). We also loved that, despite its diminutive nature, we were able to fit everything we needed even when using it as our everyday wallet for three weeks.

For this round-up, we tested 15 passport holders and scored each one on a scale of one to five for capacity, ease of use, quality, and value. We then used overall scores to select our category winners. Scores were based on the real-world experiences of our team of travel experts, who traveled with or used the holder as their everyday wallet at least three times over a period of two weeks. We evaluated how well our passports fit into each holder, their capacity for other essentials, the quality of materials, and any notable design features. 

What to Look for in a Passport Holder

Intended use.

Passport holders fall into two main subcategories: simple protective sleeves that act as a weather- and spill-resistant cover for your passport only, and wallet-style holders that typically provide space for other essentials as well. Which is the better choice depends on your personal preference. If you already have a trusted carry-on, purse, or backpack to conveniently store the rest of your travel necessities and purely want to keep your passport in tip-top condition, a protective sleeve may be all you require. However, a wallet-style holder lets you keep everything in one place and may allow you to streamline your packing so much that you can use it as your primary personal item or carry-on.

Passport holders come in a variety of fabrics: most usually leather, faux leather, or polyester. Whichever you choose, look for quality materials built for long-lasting durability with reinforced seams and straps (if applicable). Leather is often perceived as the sturdiest and most stylish option, but can be expensive. There are good plastic-based, faux leather options out there that offer the same aesthetic for a fraction of the price while also scoring better in terms of sustainability and animal ethics (depending on their construction). RFID-blocking lining is a bonus for anyone concerned about cyber identity theft.

Passport holders keep precious documents protected and secure while traveling. However, be prepared to remove the passport from its case or cover when presenting it to customs officials.

Many passport holders do more than hold a single document. They contain extra slots and pockets for credit cards, IDs, cash, credit cards, and/or vaccination documents. You may find better peace of mind knowing that all your important documents are stored in the same place.

Many passport holders help store the document discretely and away from  pickpockets’ sticky fingers . If you’re opting for a passport cover instead of a holder, plan to keep your passport in a difficult location for thieves to access. For example, if you carry it in your purse or a backpack, zip it into an internal pocket. Don’t carry it loosely or in an external bag pocket.

You should also keep backup copies of your passport’s identification pages. You can do this by taking pictures of the pages with your smartphone or photocopying hard copies. If you keep a hard copy, store these documents separately from your passport. Don’t keep them with the original in your passport holder.

What's cool is the wallet comes with a micro pen that hangs inside the wallet's spine, which we found to be useful when wanting to write down recommendations of places to visit from friends and other travelers.

Looks can be deceiving due to the wallet's traditional bifold design. It measures 3.8-inches tall by 6-inches wide, so it is big. Overall we find it to be a great minimalist travel wallet with a classic style that blends in nicely in all environments.

Inside are 5 card pockets, 2 cash pockets, and 1 zippered coin pouch. Looking for the passport pocket? That would be behind the coin pouch—it's a nice and discrete design note, we know.

If you're looking for a rugged wallet with waterproofing and protection but don't want to pay over $100, this is a solid option. Fjallraven fans will see this wallet has the same quality construction like the brand's other gear, which is a great sign because the maker is one of the best valued outdoor brands out there.

We get it, many of us aren't jet-setting out of the U.S. several times in a year. Nonetheless it's important to have a passport wallet even if you're only getting out of the country once in a blue moon. For overseas trips that are few and far between, this RFID-blocking leather travel passport case for under $30 on Amazon will do the job. It will also give off style points, as the leather has a nice rich look to it that holds up well when used sparingly.

Due to the stitching and overall quality of the materials we'd say this wallet might not be suitable for high levels of use. But because it carries a high durability and functionality for the price, we recommend it as a great travel wallet for those who might need to take a passport with them only once or twice in a year.

If you want to go with a more secure wallet, this thin travel pouch can be strapped around the waist and hold your passport, cash, cards, and more. The pouch itself has RFID tech built-in so you get another level of safety. Plus the pouch is made from water-resistant ripstop, so you won't have to worry about any of your items getting soaked from rain.

One note to point out is even though the price point of this belt is incredibly good, we believe the thin fabric could wear down faster over time than some of the other wallets on this list.

Handcrafted from USA heritage leather, Shinola's Utility Passport Wallet is truly made to age like fine wine. When opening up the wallet, one side contains a passport pocket while the other has 5 faille-lined pockets for your cards. It's not the most feature-loaded travel wallet on this list, and it's certainly not the cheapest, but if you're looking for something simple and timeless then this is the one.

You're not going to find another travel wallet like this one, and that's the point. Texas boot-maker Tecovas went and took the same authentic American alligator leather it uses for its boots and crafted the material into a passport case. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece with a passport pocket and 4 exterior card pockets. What's cool is you can even monogram it.

Of course the price point on this wallet is almost like buying a luxury good, but really the only qualm we have with the wallet is its availability. Sometimes it's popularity gets the best of it, and so you might have to turn to the Ostrich Passport Case or the original Passport Case —two excellent alternatives, no less.

Malbon Golf Yacht Club Passport Holder

The streetwear-inspired golf brand Malbon Golf has been turning out tons of cool pieces this year. One of its products that has flown under-the-radar is this pebbled leather passport holder. We were surprised to open it up and see tons of card space to go with the passport pocket. And as far as style goes, it comes with cool embossments on the front and inner pocket and is available in three colors.

If you liked the full leather of the Shinola travel wallet but wished it had a different interior configuration, then this travel wallet from Tanner Goods is a great alternative. Buying a quality travel wallet is going to look a lot like buying your everyday wallet, but the two are not the same. Here's what you need to know.

• Durability: Making sure your travel wallet is tough and made of good materials is of utmost importance. After all, this is your last line of defense to your passport—the most important document you need when traveling overseas. Premium leather is also a good material to protect your passport, as the leather provides a thick layer to keep moisture and dust from getting to your papers.

Can You Use a Passport Covers as A Wallet?

Travel wallets, also sometimes referred to as passport wallets, are the best possible choice for carrying your passport and your cash and cards. Travel wallets are not to be confused with passport covers, which are simply covers you can slide over your passport to add a level of protection.

Passport covers do theoretically have space where you could slide some cash plus 1-2 cards inside, but those spaces oftentimes make your valuables prone to falling out. A passport cover is not designed to hold anything more than a passport, and so whatever else you put in there is going to be like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Stick to a travel wallets for cash, card, and passport carry.

What You Should Know: The materials aren’t very sturdy for rugged adventures.

At first glance, the Zero Grid Passport Wallet looks a bit cheap. However, what it lacks stylistically, it makes up for in gear storage. On the interior, you can stow your passport on either side, leaving the other for your cards and cash. However, it’s pretty large for what you can stow inside. It feels more like a standard model than a travel wallet. That might not work for some, but if you want to use something that reminds you of what you’re used to, it will do that perfectly. The model we have on hand has a black-and-white colorway that’s sharp-looking and unique.

Why We Like It: American leather looks professional and rugged simultaneously.

What You Should Know: You can’t fit a ton of gear inside for how large it is.

We’ve tested a lot of Trayvax Wallets here at Pack Hacker. Though their minimalist wallets are mostly made of metal, the Explorer Passport Wallet has a unique look all its own. It’s crafted from genuine American leather that looks professional and rugged simultaneously.

What You Should Know: The fold is rounded, so it takes up a lot of space.

Red Wing has been cranking out comfortable boots since just after the turn of the century, but they make other leather goods worth looking at, too. The Red Wing Shoes Passport Wallet is crafted from durable materials and feels as sturdy as we’d expect from such a reliable brand.

On the interior, the two sides are nearly identical. There are slide pockets for your passport(s), two slots for cards, and a larger pocket perfect for cash. There isn’t a good spot for coins, so you might want to have an alternative place for that or avoid carrying it.

Given the durability of the leather, the crease isn’t very flat, which gives this travel wallet a lot of width. It feels more comfortable in a sling or daypack, but you can throw it in your jacket pocket in a pinch.

Best for: Sustainable Travelers

Why We Like It: Has enough space to fit small gear inside, so it functions similar to a clutch bag.

What You Should Know: It’s pretty bulky for the storage space you get.

We’ve tested a lot of Fjallraven gear over the years, a lot of which carries the Kanken name. The Fjallraven Kanken Travel Wallet is perfect for someone who already owns gear from the line or is looking for an ecosystem to invest in.

This passport wallet has lots of internal organization for your travel essentials and everyday gear. There’s an exterior phone pocket to keep everything in one place; however, plus-sized phones and large cases might not fit. When you’re phone is stowed inside, you can see the edges, which isn’t the most flattering look.

There are numerous fun colorways, and the styling perfectly fits into the Kanken line. However, it works well with anything colorful. When not fully packed, the top of the wallet caves in a little. This doesn’t affect usage, but it is noticeable.

Why We Like It: Enough room to stow your daily essentials and passport.

What You Should Know: It’s a bit bulky, even for a small pouch.

The CODEOFBELL ANNEX CASE isn’t a passport wallet per say, but it works exceptionally well for folks who want to go the extra mile in gear storage. The exterior has a durable shell with ample water resistance, so your gear inside will stay safe.

You can turn the case into a sling or crossbody bag, so you don’t have to worry about whether or not it will fit into your pocket. Though that makes this thing is large and hefty, you can fit more gear inside than in a traditional travel wallet. It utilizes segmentation, separate zippered compartments, and liner pockets to ensure all your gear has a home.

It has a minimalistic design, but the black colorway might not be what everyone looks for in a pouch.

Why We Like It: A simple wallet for those who prefer the option to wear your essentials.

What You Should Know: It looks more like a purse than a wallet.

The Moment Crossbody Wallet is a mini sling that can be used as a wallet. You can carry it with the included wristlet or use the strap to keep your hands free. The design is more feminine, but the colorway lends itself to most outfits and any gender.

The strap clips don’t feel the most secure, but we haven’t had any issues with them coming undone. There’s enough space to segment your gear on the interior but not enough to drown it in organizational bureaucracy. That said, it can feel a bit tight, so it’s best for storing small gear like a phone or chapstick.

Luckily, when we turned to our Travel + Leisure team and some additional frequent travelers for their favorite bags, the results were packed with crossbodies of all types. There are many reasons Baggu’s Medium Nylon Crescent Bag made the top spot on our list, but the biggest reason is its versatility. We have used this crossbody for everything from weekend trips and amusement park days to running errands and commuting. Beyond that, we can’t get over just how comfy it is to wear. The strap is pretty wide for a crossbody, which helps distribute the bag’s weight on our shoulder — plus the strap is adjustable, allowing the wearer to position it however they feel most comfortable. It’s also ultra-spacious, machine-washable, easy to pack into larger luggage , and significantly more durable than it initially feels. 

Inside its roomy main compartment, there are two pockets to neatly store smaller items like keys, cosmetics, cards, and cash. The top zipper is impressively smooth and we’ve never experienced it catching or snagging on anything in the several months we’ve been using it. A wide opening in the main compartment even makes seeing and grabbing your items simple. We can’t get enough of the water-repellent nylon, which is helpful while at the pool or exploring new destinations in the rain. This bag has been basically everywhere with us over the last few years: major vacations, road trips, flights, the mall, the park, and beyond. That’s partially because it’s so comfy to carry (the strap feels soft and broken-in on the first wear), but also because it fits so much inside. Designed with two vertical zip compartments and two smaller pockets, we felt like we had enough space for all our essentials and more — in fact, we used this while traveling with toddlers and were able to stow several of their items, too. The cotton canvas fabric feels soft against our back and shoulders and it appears to be high quality. In other words, we have a feeling this bag will withstand years of travel.

We’ve carried this belt bag across our bodies, around our waist like a true fanny pack, and even as a clutch — and we’ve loved it every time. Whether traveling, hitting the gym, or heading to dinner with friends, the Senreve Belt Bag never feels out of place. It’s strappy and stylish like a purse, but it fits a bit more securely, like a fanny pack or sling bag. The microsuede interior feels luxurious and the magnetic flap closure offers a sense of security without adding bulk or taking away from the bag’s sharp appearance. There are only two pockets inside, but we felt that was plenty for the size, especially considering the spacious main compartment. It’s also scratch-, stain-, and water-resistant, so we feel comfortable getting a little rough with it, even in a lighter color. This bag comes in six different textures and colors ranging from Chablis to merlot.

Bottega Veneta’s chic little Small Loop Camera Bag may have snagged our best designer spot, but after using it for the past year, we think it’s the best bag for city exploration, too. We’ve used it in London for a weeklong trip, toted it around the towns of Spain, and have taken it with us pretty much everywhere in New York City. Despite its compact size and single compartment, it’s spacious enough to fit plenty of items like a small wallet, sunglasses, a phone, keys, cosmetics, and more. The woven leather design and gold hardware only up the luxurious feel, while an unstructured strap feels soft on the shoulder. We love this bag in classic black, but it’s also available in white, pink, and navy.

This is the daily bag we’ve been using for the past few years to carry our stuff and our kids’ stuff — without sacrificing style. While it’s not quite the size of a full-fledged baby bag, it does have the space for a change of clothes, some snacks, a full-size wallet, sunglasses, sunscreen, and other everyday essentials. Because it has a wide, super comfy strap and boasts high-end construction, it makes an excellent personal item when flying. A few other crossbody bags almost made our list, but were ultimately cut due to minor issues we experienced while using them.

Athleta All About Crossbody : This crossbody is quite durable and comfy, and we like it enough that we’ve used it pretty consistently over the last few months. It’s just a bit too small to use as a travel bag or even as a commuter bag. 

Lo & Sons Waverley 2 : This bag is made for travel and it’s come along with us everywhere from Cancun to Paris. It’s super slim yet packed with pockets, so it’s a packing dream, but we noticed that after a few years of use, there’s some discoloration on the leather.

Lug Coupe XL Convertible Crossbody Bag : We appreciated that the Lug Coupe XL Convertible Crossbody Bag is somewhat more stylish than the average belt bag or fanny pack and it has a sufficient number of pockets. Still, we feel it’s a little pricey for a small polyester bag — plus the strap closure seems strange for this type of bag.

Tips For Buying a Crossbody Bag

Make sure it fits your essentials.

It can be tempting to go for the most visually appealing crossbody bag you can find, but keep in mind crossbodies are small by nature and if you can’t fit all your daily items inside, you’ll just end up frustrated on your travels. You may even find yourself wanting to buy a new bag once you arrive at your destination. That said, it’s wise to prioritize size over everything else when shopping for a crossbody.

Look for padded, adjustable straps

Crossbody straps are often thinner than those on totes and backpacks, so if your bag is stuffed to the brim, that thin strap may dig into your shoulder. To avoid discomfort in your shoulder or any body part the bag may repeatedly rub against, consider crossbodies with padded, adjustable straps. 

Prioritize built-in organization and safety features

Depending on what you plan on traveling with, it’s a good idea to shop for crossbodies that have plenty of pockets as well as safety features such as zip tops or both zips and snaps for double protection. Multiple pockets mean there’s a spot for everything, making it easier to locate things inside the purse. Meanwhile, safety features like locking zippers, slash-resistant straps, and RFID-blocking technology help prevent pickpockets and hackers from getting their hands on your most precious items.

Standard crossbodies can be worn over the shoulder or, as the name suggests, across the body. More specific crossbodies like belt bags and sling bags can be worn across the chest or back or even around the waist — fanny pack-style.

When worn correctly, it’s harder for crossbodies to slip off your shoulder or be stolen than totes and handbags. Crossbodies also allow shoppers to go hands-free, which is helpful on challenging hikes, cycling adventures, and when there’s other luggage to carry.

Typically, airlines only allow travelers to bring two items into the cabin with them: a carry-on — which is usually stowed in the overhead bins — and a smaller personal item that must fit under the seat in front of you. Most crossbody bags are small enough to be considered a personal item (18 x 14 x 8 inches) and some larger ones count as carry-ons (22 x 14 x 9 inches). But if you’re hoping to bring a crossbody into the cabin in addition to another personal item and carry-on, TSA will likely ask you to pack your crossbody into another piece of luggage or leave it at the airport altogether. Something smaller and more compact, like a phone purse , might work better since it can be stashed in a carry-on or personal item easily if necessary.

Understand [ edit ]

Sheremetyevo Airport is north-west of the Moscow Ring Road. It is firmly associated with the Leningrad Highway, although it is geographically located to the east, and the village of Sheremetyevsk (now a microdistrict of the city of Dolgoprudny) that gave the name to the airport and is located at Dmitrovskoye highway, which almost no one uses to go to Sheremetyevo.

History [ edit ]

Sheremetyevo is usually perceived as the main Moscow airport. This phenomenon is rooted in the Soviet past, when all international flights were carried out from here. The first passenger flight from the airport took place on August 11, 1959. Built in the early 1960s, the terminal, later known as Sheremetyevo-1, was a monument of its era and, apparently, the first building in the Soviet Union reminiscent of the structure of modern airports with check-in and departure areas as well as cafe for passengers. The original technical solution was also the landing pavilion put out on the airfield - in the people there was a "glass" or "washer" - an escalator gallery connected to the terminal.

For the 1980 Olympics, a new terminal for international flights, Sheremetyevo-2 (now Terminal F) was built. With two terminals-Sheremetyevo-1 and Sheremetyevo-2 standing on opposite sides of the airport-it stayed for almost 30 years before the large-scale reconstruction of the late 2000s, when two new terminals (D and E) were opened near Sheremetyevo-2 and conducted a line railway. After that, the "center of operations" of the airport finally shifted to the south side of the flying field, and the former Sheremetyevo-1, overgrown with a pair of new, rather shed terminals, was given up for the destruction of low-cost and closed in 2015 due to their disappearance. Until mid-2018 with the reconstruction of Terminal B, passengers were served only by DEF terminals, with the northern side of the airport having its own uses. The old building of Sheremetyevo-1 was demolished together with the famous "saucer", in its place is the construction of a new terminal.

Sheremetyevo serves more than 30 million passengers a year, regularly changing places in the ratings with Domodedovo .

Structure [ edit ]

Unlike most modern airports, Sheremetyevo is divided into two clusters , which are on opposite sides of the airport: Terminals A, B and C, and Terminals D, E, and F. Terminal B is the Aeroflot domestic terminal. There are plans for Terminal C (now demolished) to be similarly revived for CIS flights.

In Sheremetyevo, there are two parallel runways just 300 m from each other. They are too close together to be used independently, and the airport's capacity is far behind the number of terminals built in it. To solve this problem a third runway is planned to be built a couple of kilometers from the existing ones. Sheremetyevo is the most well-equipped airport in Russia, and the likelihood that you will be taken to a plane in a bus (rather than a jetbridge) is smaller than other airports, although it is still quite high, especially on domestic flights. In terms of infrastructure, the airport is quite diverse: there are, for example, relatively inexpensive power points, but they will have to be searched. Sheremetyevo is far from anything else: even to nearby hotels you have to go by taxi or book a transfer.

55.9632 37.4059 1 Terminal D . Serves domestic and international flights of Aeroflot. The huge building in shape resembles a plane and refers to the most interesting architectural solutions among post-Soviet Russian airports. All the registration is general and is on the 3rd floor, leading to a long corridor from the Aeroexpress station. To the counters there are often queues in which you can stand 20-30 minutes. Less expensive food points are on the 2nd floor (cafe-dining room "Mu-Mu") and on the 1st floor in the arrivals area (McDonald's, Crumb-Potato). The quietest place is on the 2nd floor in the Mu-Mu area. In the left part of the terminal there is a small "clean" zone of the internal sector: there is always a throng, so there is no reason to come here in advance. The international "clean" zone, on the contrary, is quite spacious (and, in addition, it can be moved to an even more spacious terminal E). ( updated Feb 2018 )

Not memorable, sometimes frankly shabby design is combined with relative lack of people: there are a lot of places, and there are not enough flights for landing. In the area of ​​check-in counters there is something like Sheremetev's food court - several racks with quite decent food and common tables. In the clean zone there is an inexpensive "Burger King". 55.967 37.4176 3 Terminal F . One of the oldest buildings of the airport, formerly Sheremetyevo-2 , was opened for the Moscow Olympics in 1980. The architecture of the terminal reflects the representations of that time about comfort and style. Once in the building there was a unique interior with metal pipes hanging from the ceiling and eternal semi-darkness. Unfortunately, many elements of the decor were removed during the reconstruction, but in the departure zone there were still characteristic lamps, from which literally blows the solemnity of those times when each flight by plane was an event - do not miss them. Strange, sometimes uncomfortable layout in the terminal, too, remained: the check-in desks are preceded by the point of inspection (that is, the inspection in this terminal needs to be done not twice but three times), but passport control is right behind the registration desks, so the distance in the terminal before the landing, here is minimal. From the terminal F, individual flights of Aeroflot and all the partners that are least liked by them fly. If you are in Terminal F - be sure to look for the staircase upstairs, where there is a good dining room, a restaurant overlooking the flying field and the airport museum. On the 1st and 2nd floors the infrastructure is the same as everywhere else. ( updated Feb 2018 )

55.9638 37.4157 4 Terminal Aeroexpress . Self-contained territory with two floors, densely packed with all sorts of cafes and shops. If you arrive or leave, the terminal needs to go right through. There are a lot of fast food outlets, by the standards of the airport are relatively cheap, and in the shops, you can buy everything from the tourist equipment to the scarves from Pavlovsky Posad. Inside the southern cluster, the DEF terminals are connected both to each other and to the Aeroexpress terminal. Pass through the terminals between the terminals and there is a "clean" international zone: if you do not have enough free outlets in the "clean" zone D or F, look for them in the always deserted terminal E. Cheapest food in the "clean" zone - "Burger King" in the same terminal E with almost urban prices.

Class "A" airport. It is situated in 28 km from Moscow. There are two take- off and landing strips. Handling capacity is 2100 passenger per hour. There are 5 terminals: B, C, D, E, F. Terminal E is located in the northern part of Sheremetyevo Airport and it is mainly servicing business aviation boards, as well twenty two remote counters of Western sector of Terminal B serve the same purpose.

Terminal B is located to the West of Terminal A in the northern part of the airport as well. It is composed of two buildings: the departure hall and the arrivals hall. There is a landing pavilion located not far from the terminal B, which is well known by the name "wineglass" which it obtained thanks to it's unusual shape. There are 86 remote parking places in this terminal of airport. This places are divided: 22 - for business aviation and 5 - for cargo flights. Also 8 of which are used for Aeroflot aircrafts maintenance.

Terminal C is located next to Terminal B and maintains international flight services; there are 30 check- in counters, 36 passport control cabins and automatic three- stage system of luggage inspection. All of the six parking places of the terminal are equipped by telescopic walkways. The terminal is connected with multilevel parking for 1000 cars by the walking gallery.

Terminal D provides services for international airlines, the building is shaped like a swan, protecting passengers by its wings.

Additional terminal for international routes was opened in 2010. Terminal E provides services for international airlines. It has combined Terminal D and F and a unite system called South terminal complex. Complex is connected with the Aeroexpress railway station. All terminals of the complex are connected by walking galleries with travelators, which allow passengers easily move around the whole territory of the complex.

Terminal F includes airport equipped by telescopic walkways, hotel, area of the airport, maintenance platform and several industrial buildings. It is located next to the railway terminal and Terminal E and D. 15 parking places with telescopic walkways work here. Terminals are connected by the free bus travelling regularly between terminals B and E on the road inside the airport.

Infrastrusture

The following services are provided free of charge ate the territory of Sheremetyevo airport: mother- and- child rooms (II floor of the Departures hall in Terminal B), shuttle- bus, connecting South and North terminal, free Wi- Fi access, services for disabled passengers, luggage trolleys, weigh- in baggage and hand luggage. Passengers stay in waiting halls for free, transportation to and from airplanes as well as medical services is also free.

Luggage wrapping points are located: Terminal B - center of the waiting hall, Terminal C - special control zone, left and right wings, terminal D - III floor, center of Departures hall, terminal E - II floor Departures hall, Terminal F - II floor, next to the entrance and inspection points. In addition there are mobile points working 24 hours as well. If the luggage is authorized to be opened it will be packed again free of charge.

As well there are baggage rooms in the airport located in Terminal C, many shops and restaurants, bank offices, post office, tourist agencies and hotels. Orthodox Christians may pray in Resurrection of Christ church (between Terminal F and B), Archangel Mikhail chapel (Terminal C) and Saint Nicolas chapel (located in Terminal F)

Useful information

There is a special protective service which prevents children from getting lost in Sheremetyevo airport. A child gets a special bracelet, which is to help her get back to her parents.

It is recommended to pack the entire luggage by stretch wrap.

For entering Mother- and- Child room a passenger should present the ticket, the passport and the child medical certificate, which can be obtained in the medical services offices in terminal F, D and C.

Detailed instruction on how to get to Sheremetyevo airport

Sheremetyevo airport recommends avoiding trips by Leningradskoe highway due to renovation of emergency part of the road and suggests bypass ways.

The road is narrowed to two ways in both directions. The exit from International trunk- way to Leningradskoe highway is open. The exit from MKAD to Leningradskoe highway is allowed for passenger cars.

Official ways offered by traffic police

1) 87th km of Leningradskoe highway, turn to Moscow large traffic ring road (Leningradsko- Dmitrovskoe direction) with the consequent movement around Dmitrov. After that - move on Dmitrovskoe highway until you reach 74th km from MKAD.

2) If you drive from Moscow district you reach 87th km of Leningradskoe highway, then turn to Moscow large traffic ring road (Leningradsko- Volokolamskoe direction), turn to M- 9 highway "Baltia" and move until you reach MKAD.

3) 49th km Leningradskoe highway, turn to Moscow small traffic ring road (Leningradsko- Dmitrovskoe direction) turn to Dmitrovskoe highway at 47th km and move until you reach MKAD.

 4) If you drive from Moscow it is better to drive on MKAD and then turn to  M- 9 highway "Baltia" or to  Dmitrovskoe highway.
