Super creepy. Nice twist at the end.

A disturbing and creepy premise. It'll keep you watching until the very end!

The Visit was a not Shyamalan's greatest work but it worked in its low budget way. The acting was horrendous and the plot was predictable, though the camerawork was at least steady to not make it so shaky.

Risible "return to form" (it's not), featuring two INCREDIBLY irritating performances/characters at the centre. The found footage/documentary style grates and is noticeable only for its complete lack of style, the attempts at comedy are woeful and there is no suspense or shocks. The "twist", supposedly hiding in plain sight, is exactly what one supposes it might be from the first 10 minutes.

The film also provides an intelligent commentary on the human condition and how we can suppress dark parts of our past.

The acting in the movie is top-notch. Olivia DeJonge plays Rebecca with an impressive depth, portraying the character as mature and responsible while also revealing the hidden fears and anxieties that plague her.

Ed Oxenbould is excellent in the role of Tyler, providing much-needed comic relief in tense situations while also delivering a well-crafted performance that adds depth to the character.

Deanna Dunagan, who plays the grandmother, delivers a chilling performance. She is undoubtedly the star of the movie, providing one of the most memorable horror performances in recent years.

In conclusion, The Visit is a terrifying, yet entertaining movie with a fantastic story, great acting, and clever writing. It manages to find the perfect balance between humor and horror, leaving audiences gripping their seats until the very end. The Visit is a must-watch for any horror movie fan. The Visit is a return to form for Shyamalan.

While Shyamalan doesn’t reinvent the wheel with “The Visit”, he does show the creative flourishes that made him a respected name and overnight success in the horror-thriller genre.

It’s all a very transparent metaphor for family reconciliation and what happens when your old wounds don’t heal.

This would be a perfect movie to kind of study because it's written really, really well and the scripting and dialogue and just the overall story structure is perfect.

M. Night Shyamalan needed people to be on his side. Thankfully, with The Visit, a found footage horror movie with more than its share of humor, he finally got me back on his side.

Shyamalan's made a lot of terrible films in a career singularly set with The Sixth Sense, but makes a decent rebound here.

The Visit is one freaky found footage frightfest.

The fear of 'The visit' is something very real, it is fear of abandonment, of not being loved. A fear far superior, by its authenticity, to any created fiction. [Full Review in Spanish]

Shyamalan recaptures some of his earlier essence with lots of mystery, subtle creeps and moments where you'll question what exactly it is you're seeing.

Today’s visit marks the second time Trump has come to Georgia in a little over a month, showing that the state will once again be an important battleground in the 2024 presidential election.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution , the fundraiser cost $6,600 to attend, with an additional $25,000 fee per couple for a photo opportunity with the 45th president. Those expected to be in attendance included former U.S. Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, as well as prominent figures of the Georgia business sector, including Bernie Marcus of Home Depot and poultry industry billionaire Tommy Bagwell.

In all, the fundraiser was expected to rake in more than $5 million for the embattled candidate, who currently owes nearly $470 million for his various legal troubles , including cases over hush money and election fraud.

But at his stop before the fundraiser, the former president appeared more interested in the chicken he was about to be served. “That’s the Lord’s chicken,” Trump quipped.

When and where the solar eclipse will be crossing the U.S.

A total solar eclipse will grace the skies over North America on Monday, one of the most hotly anticipated sky-watching events in recent years.

Weather permitting , millions of people in Mexico, 15 U.S. states and eastern Canada will have the chance to see the moon slip between Earth and sun, temporarily blocking the sun’s light .

The total solar eclipse will be visible along a “path of totality” that measures more than 100 miles wide and extends across the continent. Along that path, the moon will fully obscure the sun, causing afternoon skies to darken for a few minutes.

In all other parts of the continental U.S., a partial solar eclipse will be visible, with the moon appearing to take a bite out of the sun. Exactly how big a bite depends on the location.

The first spot in North America that will experience totality on Monday is on Mexico’s Pacific coast at around 11:07 a.m. PT, according to NASA .

After moving northeast across Mexico, the eclipse’s path travels through Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Slivers of Michigan and Tennessee will also be able to witness totality if conditions are clear.

In Canada, the eclipse will be visible in parts of southern Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Cape Breton, at the eastern end of Nova Scotia.

The timing of the eclipse and the duration of totality varies by location. Most places will experience around 2 minutes of darkness, but the longest periods of totality are typically in the center of the eclipse’s path.

This year, the longest stretch of totality will last 4 minutes and 28 seconds in an area northwest of Torreón, Mexico.

• Dallas: Partial eclipse begins at 12:23 p.m. CT and totality at 1:40 p.m. CT.
• Idabel, Oklahoma: Partial eclipse begins at 12:28 p.m. CT and totality at 1:45 p.m. CT.
• Little Rock, Arkansas: Partial eclipse begins at 12:33 p.m. CT and totality at 1:51 p.m. CT.
• Poplar Bluff, Missouri: Partial eclipse begins at 12:39 p.m. CT and totality at 1:56 p.m. CT.
• Paducah, Kentucky: Partial eclipse begins at 12:42 p.m. CT and totality at 2:00 p.m. CT.
• Carbondale, Illinois: Partial eclipse begins at 12:42 p.m. CT and totality at 1:59 p.m. CT.
• Evansville, Indiana: Partial eclipse begins at 12:45 p.m. CT and totality at 2:02 p.m. CT.
• Cleveland: Partial eclipse begins at 1:59 p.m. ET and totality at 3:13 p.m.
• Erie, Pennsylvania: Partial eclipse begins at 2:02 p.m. ET and totality at 3:16 p.m. ET.
• Buffalo, New York: Partial eclipse begins at 2:04 p.m. ET and totality at 3:18 p.m.
• Burlington, Vermont: Partial eclipse begins at 2:14 p.m. ET and totality at 3:26 p.m. ET.
• Lancaster, New Hampshire: Partial eclipse begins at 2:16 p.m. ET and totality at 3:27 p.m.
• Caribou, Maine: Partial eclipse begins at 2:22 p.m. ET and totality at 3:32 p.m. ET.

If you plan to watch the celestial event, remember that it’s never safe to look directly at the sun, including through binoculars, telescopes or camera lenses. Special eclipse glasses are required to safely view solar eclipses and prevent permanent eye damage.

Kansas State basketball to entertain top-rated portal big man on recruiting visit

MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball coach Jerome Tang already got a prominent point guard from the transfer portal, and now he is thinking bigger.

Oumar Ballo, a 7-foot, 260-pound senior center, and two-time Pac-12 all-conference selection from Arizona, entered the portal Monday and has K-State on his short list of prospective landing spots for his final season.

Ballo, the top-ranked portal player by 247 Sports, has recruiting visits scheduled to K-State, Indiana and Louisville, with North Carolina and Florida also under consideration, according to Joe Tipton of On3.

Manhattan will be his third stop, beginning April 19.

Tang filled one need last week with Michigan point guard Dug McDaniel, but adding some size to the roster is the top priority now after the Wildcats lost starting center Jerrell Colbert to the portal and backup Will McNair to graduation.

Ballo, who began his career at Gonzaga before spending the past three years at Arizona, certainly would fit the bill. As a senior, he averaged 12.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game with a 65.8 field goal percentage.

Ballo also received all-conference honors his junior year in 2022-23, after averaging 14.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks on 64.7% shooting. In 2021-22, he was Pac-12 sixth man of the year.

Ballo is not the only big man on K-State's radar. Florida State transfer Baba Miller reportedly will visit Manhattan this weekend, and while North Carolina-Greensboro forward Mikeal Brown-Jones has the Wildcats listed as one of his three finalists.

Miller, a 6-11 sophomore forward, averaged 7.6 points and 4.9 rebounds for the Seminoles while starting 32 of 33 games. Brown-Jones, a 6-8 senior who also is considering Mississippi and Pittsburgh, averaged 18.9 points and 7.5 rebounds.

K-State, which lost three players to graduation and another three — Colbert, Cam Carter and Dorian Finister — to the portal, still has four spots available. In addition to McDaniel, they signed high school guard David Castillo in November.

Bug Out Event Bonuses

During the hours of the event, you’ll be able to take advantage of the following bonuses.

2× XP for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.

New avatar items will be available for purchase in the in-game shop, including Burmy-themed earrings and bags inspired by Combee. These items will continue to be available after the event ends.
