Day 1 : Uk - Larnaca - Kyrenia

Day 2 : Nicosia

This morning, a guide introduces us to the highlights of Nicosia, the divided capital of Cyprus. We see the Arab Ahmet and Selimiye Mosques, the latter being housed within the grand Gothic Cathedral of Saint Sophia. We also see the Dervish Pasha Mansion and the 16th-century Great Inn (Büyük Han), the largest of the island’s historical roadside inns, known as caravanserai.

Day 3 : Kyrenia

Location: girne, meals included: breakfast, dinner.

Today is free to enjoy in the surroundings of your hotel. Or you may choose to take an optional excursion to the Karpas Peninsula, sometimes referred to as the panhandle. From your hotel, you’ll travel into the past through old villages set in the shadow of the Five Finger Mountains. In the beautiful coastal village of Bogaz, you can watch the fishermen at work. At the archaeological site of Sipahi, you’ll view the spectacular, intricately patterned mosaics of the Basilica of Agia Triada.Your last stop is the Monastery of Saint Andrew, a peaceful site where both Greek and Turkish Cypriots come to worship. You may be lucky enough to spot some of the local wildlife, including many wild donkeys.

Day 4 : Kyrenia

This morning, we embark on an excursion in Kyrenia, to explore two remarkable sites. Saint Hilarion, dramatically sited on a rocky crag overlooking the glittering sea, was once a monastery and is also one of the best preserved of the Crusader castles. We have time to wander and take in the beautiful views.Our day continues to Bellapais Abbey, a 13th-century Gothic monastery made rich by the gifts and donations offered by crusading knights and pilgrims. The impressive sanctuary may be in ruins, and the frescos of the life of Christ faded and fragmented, but the abbey is filled with an air of tranquillity and beauty.

Day 5 : Salamis - Famagusta

Location: salamis tours, famagusta.

Today, we take a tour to Famagusta, stopping first at the 5th-century Monastery of Saint Barnabas, which is now a museum exhibiting magnificent Cypriot artefacts. Our tour continues with a scenic drive to the ancient city of Salamis. We’ll roam the extensive ruins here including the marble columns, ancient baths and Roman theatre.Later, we arrive in the old city of Famagusta with time at leisure to wander the streets of charming shops selling silver and copperware amongst others.

Day 6 : Kyrenia

Location: kyrenia.

Enjoy a day at leisure; perhaps relax in the hotel or discover some of the surrounding sites including Kyrenia’s historic harbour and grand castle.

Day 7 : Kyrenia

Today is free, or join an optional excursion to see the west coast of Cyprus. Begin by exploring the region of Güzelyurt, commonly referred to as the ‘Fruit Garden of Cyprus’ being located in a fertile alluvial plain. Visit the 18th-century Saint Mamas Monastery and the Güzelyurt Museum located next door. Continue to Soli, an ancient city kingdom with many Roman remains to independently explore.

Day 8 : Kyrenia - Larnaca - Uk

Location: kyrenia, larnaca, meals included: breakfast.

We transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. Upon arrival, your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.

Recently returned from the great Indian rail journey.My wife and I could hardly believe the value for money.From pick ups from Durham to Heathrow and back,to the number of coach and train journeys , quality hotels, great choice of food throughout and our first night in Heathrow Hilton. What really made our trip a success was our guide, Prashant,who managed a party of twenty four very varied, sometimes a little unpredictable travellers with ease.Nothing was too much trouble for him and as a group we gelled and warmed to Prashant as he kept us safe, well informed and a little entertained by his mix of authority and humanity.Where do I begin with the tour itself ? India,a country of extremes.Poverty,wealth,order,chaos.Sometimes bleak,often breathtakingly beautiful.The people,the cities,art, architecture,flaura and fauna.Delhi,Jaipur, Amritsar,Agra, Ranthambore, Chandigarh and the icing on the cake that is Shimla. An absolute masterclass of man versus nature,the railway and buildings are an unbelievable feat,but wait until you see the dual carriageway being built on the mountainside.🤯I could go on for a very long time but I'll just post some photos.Thanks to Titan,thanks to the excellent Prashant and and a massive thanks to the other twenty two travellers who helped shape our holiday of a lifetime.🏁💜

Just returned from a fabulous tour of California & the golden west. It’s a full on tour with early starts but you see so much varied landscape from the ocean to the desert to Yosemite. My 2nd tour with Titan & my first solo tour. Thoroughly enjoyed it & met some great people. Grand Canyon was amazing would definitely recommend

Not merely a holiday, rather a memorable experience

I have used other travel operators; this was the 1st time of touring with Titan----Israel, The Holy Land, from being collected from home and returned at the end of the holiday this was an unforgettable experience; the Tour Manager, a PhD Archaeology made the whole tour so interesting, he enlightened us throughout each day from an historical, archeological and Biblical viewpoint, bringing each site we visited come to life, and went over and above his remit escorting us for evening trips around the local area; thanks also to our very patient driver who coped with the very busy traffic; our hotels were good, professional and pleasant staff and really good food; I would recommend Titan to anyone looking for a fascinating tour with excellent efficient service thank you Titan nor just for a holiday for a memorable experience

We had a 2 weeks fantastic holiday arranged by Titan to Vietnam and Cambodia. Excellent,well organised Throughly enjoyed. Very good service by Vietnam Airlines, if you could afford book it in premium economy. We had a door to door service , picked up to airport from home and then dropped at home from airport, very convinient. Particular credit goes to our guide THI who is a caring, knolegeable, friendly down to earth man who made our trip a memorable one. I will not hesitate to book another holiday through Titan, their staff are friendly and helpful

We had a fantastic holiday...

We had a fantastic holiday in Mississippi. Right from our chauffeur driven car picking us up to the return journey, we had a great time. The first hotel The Gaylord was amazing,absolutely huge,first class. The second The Double tree in Memphis unfortunately wasn't, the hotel was tired and very basic, the only plus was where it is situated in the centre of town, we were only there two nights so it wasn't to bad. The American Queen Steam Boat was first class all the way, thoroughly enjoyed the seven nights sailing down the Mississippi. The last hotel the Sheraton New Orleans was very comfortable too. Our guide throughout our time away was Laura Tuttle. she was amazing, very knowledgeable, and helpful. We also had a coach driver Guil, who went over and beyond to give you the best time. Other coach guides included Jim,who was so funny, and also very knowledgeably. Very entertaining throughout. The entire itinerary itinerary was very well thought out, included a huge variety of visits to different Interesting locations. Highly recommend using Titan for all your holiday destinations.

Perfect Italian Holiday…

Just returned from a lovely week in Sorrento at the Grand Hotel Hermitage, we had an excellent guide Peter Macchristopher. we loved the hotel the staff were very nice especially in the dining rooms, the food was good and the room we had was really nice with a wonderful view. Altogether very good value holiday.we felt the trip to Pompei was very good also boat trip to Amalfi. I would recommend a walk to the village of St Agatha and a three hour ride on the Little Blue Train. Great fun.this can be booked at reception.

THE GREAT INDIAN RAIL JOURNEY!!!!...

THE GREAT INDIAN RAIL JOURNEY!!!! (Dreadful) Avoid Titan and Saga at all costs. False descriptions of the tour and dreadful administration Returned to the UK last evening with a great sigh of relief after the worst holiday ever. 1. No block booking of airplane seats by Titan. (Husband and I sat apart on the long, overnight flight) 2. Unable to pre-book seats as Titan reference numbers did not coincide with anything. 3. Husband and I not sat together on any of the train journeys! In fact, on one occasion I was sat, alone on a sleeper carriage, a couple of carriages away from the rest of the group who were scattered over two or three carriages. Terrifying as a female to be sat alone in the midst of noisy locals!!!!! (Eventually the guide, Rahi, did come to rescue me and found a seat near the main group) 4. The guide, Rahi, would usually get off the coach and begin walking off without waiting for all the group to disembark the coach. (Spot the guide in the crowd!) 5. The guide, Rahi, refused to use any identifying prop such as a flag, hat, jacket or umbrella. Frightening to be in the manic crowds of Delhi and other crowded places to be unable to see the guide. 6. NO AUDIO HEADSET system on any excursion 7. The guide, Rahi, didn’t face the whole group, but stood sideways on and was unable to be heard by the majority. 8. OUTRAGEOUS behaviour by the guide when he enquired as to the whereabouts of my husband, whom I explained was in bed with an upset stomach and was feeling unwell. Rahi DID A REVERSE AIR PUNCH😳😳. This was in response to an earlier conversation when my husband had complained about our separate seating arrangements. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL 9. When we arrived at Heathrow to find our aircraft seats were not allocated, we were advised to speak to our guide on arrival at Delhi. Rahi merely shrugged his shoulders and said he couldn’t do anything. 10. Tour pace incorrect - gruelling pace and only half a day relaxation due to the guide, Rahi, throwing in visits to shops and factories fie him to earn his commission as I head him tell another!!!!!!! 11. When off loaded the return flight due to illness, we were unable to get in contact with Titan/Saga. Left in Delhi without an hotel or flight!!! Found accommodation but didn’t remove shoes or clothes due to the poor standard. Final summary: Poor, disappointing, inefficient, incompetent, misleading, misrepresentations, are just a few words to describe.

Luxury VIP door to door...

Luxury VIP door to door travel! I don't think so....Titan sent a Toyota Prius uber to Stanstead for a return journey to Newport, S Wales. 4 adults plus luggage! the experience was anything but luxurious. Contacted Titan on the return journey and since return. They simply didn't seem interested and offered us a £300 travel discount off a future trip! After a lot of emails they converted it to a £300 cash refund. Give it a lot of thought before booking !

Next, enjoy wine tasting in the small traditional village of Kato Drys characterised by narrow valleys of vineyards, and then continue to the 9th century Saint Lazarus Church, and the Hala Sultan Tekke, a beautiful mosque on the west bank of Larnaca Salt Lake.

Cyprus is an island full of culture and landscapes, full of myths and ancient wealth. Cyprus is an independent sovereign republic. Located at the northeastern tip of the Mediterranean, it is the third largest island in the region, covering an area of ​​9,251 square kilometers. It is divided into two parts, north and south. Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot societies are fundamentally different, albeit unbelievably similar, related to the still powerful role of traditional family life and a rich history in which food cultures and folk customs are mixed up. One is sure wherever you are on the island: naturally warm Cypriot You will find hospitality on both sides. The past of Cyprus has left ancient wealth on this island. Neolithic dwellings, the Bronze Age and Phoenician tombs, the remains of the unique kingdoms of the city, Roman mosaics, the highest castles and Byzantine churches full of fresh frescoes are scattered throughout the city. Cypriot cuisine, is heavily influenced by the Turks, Greeks and the Middle East. How To Get to Northern Cyprus

Most visitors to Northern Cyprus arrive at one of the international airports in either south or North Cyprus, although there are also passenger and car ferries to Kyrenia from Turkey – running largely in the summer months.  One advantage which North Cyprus has for visitors is the huge range of airlines arriving into the island.  British and Commonwealth passport holders have the choice either to;

* travel to the south of Cyprus and cross across the border to the North by car or taxi in under half an hour – or alternatively

* travel direct to Ercan Airport in the north via Turkey.

There are no buses into Northern Cyprus from the south of the island although TRNC car hire companies will arrange subsidised taxi pick ups from Larnaca to take you to your car in the North.  There are some buses from Ercan Lefkosa airport in the north to various of the North Cyprus cities.

If you are wishing to visit to view property, please do contact our help-desk on +44 207 112 8086 and we will be delighted to help with flight and car hire suggestions.  Selected car hire companies in the south will include insurance for the north and it is advisable to use one of these if you wish to collect your car hire upon landing.

Larnaca International Airport in South Cyprus is a transit hub for schedule and charter flights from airports all over the world, including London and other major UK airports, European airports, the UAE, other Middle East airports and beyond Many visitors from the UK use airlines including Turkish Airlines , Pegasus , Easyjet , Monarch, British Airways , Cyprus Airways, Thomas Cook and TUI , TUI Nordic Group .  Those visiting Northern Cyprus generally land at Larnaca rather than Paphos which is further away from most of the border crossing points and will incur higher taxi fares if you wish to travel directly to the North of the island from there, although those picking up a suitable car hire may enjoy the beautiful though windy journey to the north up the West Coast via Polis or over the Troodos mountains!

If you hold a non-European or non-Commonwealth passport and are coming to Northern Cyprus you will need a Schengen visa to enter via Larnaca. In this case, it may be easier to arrive via Ercan (Lefkosa) airport in the North using an airline which stops in Turkey on the way such as Turkish Airlines or Pegasus.  There are no advance visa requirements for any visitor to Northern Cyprus and a standard 90 day visa is issued to all nationalities at the border or at Ercan Airport. Further to my last post titan got in touch they said the reason the charge the £500 is that they have to make money,on top of the money they have already got. The reason given for not passing on the up grade to the cruise company was we only do that on a Monday what a joke 😆

The Great Indian Rail Journey

The total contrasts of Northern India. Old Delhi v New Delhi,the monuments of Jaipur, Agra and Amtitsar, Ranthambore tiger reserve, the border crossing display, the Englishness of Shimla, the manic traffic, the different train journeys, the friendly people. All pulled together by a superb tour manager Rahi who was unflappable despite hospital visits and farmers blocking rail lines. This was a trip not for the feint hearted. Early morning starts, but organised by Rahi through his efficient WhatsApp ensured that all of us knew where to be at what time. Compliments to Titan for their organisation from start to finish.

Istanbul and Cappadocia

A most enjoyable tour thanks to our tour manager Serhat. He guided us through bustling Istanbul before setting off cross country for Cappadocia. Magnificent scenery and lots of ancient sites. He kept us entertained on the long coach journeys.

From pick up at home to arriving back home my holiday to New York as a 70th birthday present to myself was brilliant. The tour manager, John Allen was fantastic. He gave us maps and information sheets, including some reasonably priced restaurants and was on hand for any queries. The hotel was in Times Square, which was central for the majority of things I wanted to do and the subway was only two streets away. Well done John and Titan.

A taste of the Douro Valley

Just returned from A taste of the Douro Valley. The included tours were excellent as were our guide Rose and driver Mario. Unfortunately all of the hotels seemed to be short staffed . Cidnay Santo Tuso was lovely with stunning views from the dining room. The meals were buffet style and the area where the food was could do with being better organised as it was quite small. Placido Hotel Douro was very isolated and the choices and quality of the food weren't great. However on our last night we had a local accordion group to entertain us. Our final hotel Palace Hotel Asturius was a poor choice to give us two free days . Surrounded by houses but nowhere to go unless you used the Spa.The decor in my room was very odd. A feature red wall behind the bed, Orange throw and cushions,pink and cream tweed chairs. Not sure how to describe the colour of the curtains! There was also an extra bed and the mattress was wider and shorter than the base. All of the surfaces needed dusting.Fortunately there was an optional excursion which was excellent. The food there was much better and on our last evening we had complimentary wine and a Duo who sang in the lounge. The staff at all the hotels worked extremely hard, but there weren't enough of them. Taste of the Douro Valley was aptly named as we had a lot of very enjoyable visits to taste the wine produced!

Golden Triangle - Solo traveller

I booked the Golden Triangle organised tour with Titan. A truly amazing experience. I cannot thank Bhupendra Sharma and Alison for the most seemless and professional management and organisation of this tour. For example at one point the bus had a slight issue. No problem...Bhu organised Tuk Tuks for us all within about 15 minutes!

Full on experience

Full on experience, which has left many memories. Things were sometimes a challenge due to unavoidable situations, but this made it more fun due to the tour guides problem solving skills and great attitude. The hotels were excellent as was the food. Rahi was professional, good humoured , and caring , we couldn’t fault him . The only change I would have made to the itinerary would be to have a days free time to relax

The selections of hotels were first…

The selections of hotels were first class. The food in all those hotels were excellent and in every hotel the staff were faultless, nothing was too much trouble for them. The excursions were well planned and well thought out. Our tour manager Sanjeev Kumar was very informative and cheerfull at all times even whilst under pressure from one disruptive guest, who, in my opinion, should not have been on the tour as it was clearly not suitable for her, As she was in a wheal chair the Travel Agents should have encouraged her not to book that particular tour as there was a lot of rough terrain and she should have had a carer with her.

Sent a significant complaint to Titan a fortnight ago & sent reminder. Still no reply.

I submitted a significant complaint to Titan a fortnight ago regarding being abandoned at Istanbul airport, despite me expressing concerns about the arrangements in advance. Despite two weeks having elapsed and this being a matter of significant personal importance to me Titan still have not replied. This is a matter that needs to be resolved urgently and the lack of contact is completely unacceptable.

Adriatic Coastal Explorer

We toured aboard the Amorena travelling north and returning to Trogir near Split. It was a memorable holiday, perfect in every way. The boat crew were fantastic without exception, working as a happy team. Nothing was too much trouble, and the food was lovely. Bobby, our onboard guide, was a joy, informative, caring, funny and always on hand. The overnight stops were varied and none disappointed. Happy days!

Southern sights and sounds tour April…

Our first trip with Titan and unlikely to be our last. Pick up from home was great and greeting from tour guide Ian immediately on arrival at T3, Heathrow was reassuring. We hoped the trip would be a holiday of a lifetime and it didn't disappoint. The organisation, travel arrangements and hotel accommodation were fantastic. The itinerary and the optional excursions really did give a flavour of the southern states. Special mention for tour guide Ian and driver Chris who worked really hard to make the trip run smoothly. A superb and highly recommended holiday!

This holiday comes comes highly recommended, touring some of the most valuable and interesting places in India, situated within the Golden Triangle, together with the Ranthambore Park safaris into the jungle and our very fortunate and lucky opportunity to see the Bengal Tigers, fortunately for us on all three of our visits! Bhupendra our guide explained everything to us in such detail and we never missed anything at each site that we visited and nothing was too much for him to do or explain to us. Alison our tour manager was also so helpful in every way and also made sure that we were in the right place at the right time and so very friendly at all times in every way making sure we were all happy travellers and enjoying ourselves! The hotels were superb and of the highest quality too! This holiday must be one of the best to experience this part of India and superb in every way!

Great Indian Rail Journey

This was my first holiday on my own, so opted for a solo holiday, thinking a mixed holiday would have underlined the miss of my husband. Despite my anxieties, everything went well, with very easy transport, and great porterage. A challenging holiday in some ways, early starts and a fast pace. Our guide Rahi was wonderful, very helpful, knowledgable, patient and kind. I had the most amazing holiday experience, India lived up to every expectation, her people exceeded expectations. They simply amazed me, gracious, kind and gentle. The only constructive comment I would make is that a day or so of respite would have been appreciated. I understand some sights would be missed, but I think overall it would be worth it. Thankyou to our guide Rahi -and to Titan for a great holiday

On the 1st of April this year I went…

On the 1st of April this year I went with Titan on a grand tour of Japan. It turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The Japanese guide could not speak English very well she did not seem to have much knowledge of the areas and places that we travelled to. Also the program contained three cookery courses which we could’ve well done without I went on this holiday to see scenery places of interest not to cook. I feel this holiday with Titan was quite expensive and did not live up to my expectations.

Grand Tour Japan

We did the Grand Tour but I think they should rename it the Whistle Stop Tour or increase the tour by a week. There was never enough time in any place we visited everything felt rushed. Saying that we throughly enjoyed our time in Japan but a few less shrines or temples would not degrade the holiday.

Great Indian Railway Tour

I had a wonderful, whistle stop first tour of India. It exceeded all my expectations and then some. Our guide Rahi made the trip. He was immensely knowledgeable, humorous and lived every moment with us 24/7. He certainly made my dream of India into a reality. Thank you Rahi for a trip of a life time!

Croatian Cruise from Split

You can't blame it all on the weather in Catalonia!

I returned from Spain on 30th April, having spent 8 days experiencing Titan's holiday "Little Boats of Catalonia", also offered by Saga.Their choice of hotel left a lot to be desired! The hotel had no record of 2 of the guests (including my travelling companion) and were only able to find them rooms after a long wait whilst booking in. Furthermore, 2 other women who had requested a twin bedded room with bathroom facilities suitable for disabled guests were given a room with a double bed and told to share! Between the end of breakfast (10.00) and the bar opening at 16.00 (when drinks could be purchased) we had to seek all refreshments outside the hotel. The buffet style breakfast and dinner provided a wide selection of food, but with little variation of dishes from day to day (one wondered what became of the large amounts of jellies - reminiscent of children's tea parties - still available at the end of each day!). Most of the food was luke warm and only cold plates were provided. When my friend complained about this, she was directed to a single microwave located behind a screen inconveniently placed in a narrow area adjacent to the doors into the kitchen and told to ensure she did not block the doors. Except for 5 settees and 3 'comfy' chairs in the entrance area/adjoining corridor, the public areas were very sterile with tables and hard chairs. A more comfortable looking area was provided outside on the hotel frontage, but as the weather during my visit was chilly and wet I did not feel drawn to take advantage of it. Please note I do not hold Titan responsible for the weather, but do expect more comfortable facilities when taking bookings before the 'season' has started - as the locals were keen to tell us! Finally, as regards the hotel, and on a positive note, my bedroom was clean and comfortable. However, no useful information was available for e.g. using telephone, air conditioning, temperature etc. Other guests complained other defects - safe, telephone, temperature, window locks not working. I was not over-impressed with some of the excursions involving boats. The trip to Cadaques equated to using the local ferry, with other people embarking/disembarking at various stops. Arrangements for day 5 were rearranged before the holiday began and the substitute tour on the canals viewing highly priced holiday residences on Catalonia's 'Florida Keys' just convinced me it would be the last place I would want to buy property! and a disappointment compared to the image of the original plan. However, the ride on the Canal de Midi (Beziers, France) and the land based trips, especially to medieval towns, were very enjoyable and well planned. Given the need to deal with the unfortunate weather during our visit and all the other problems highlighted above, our tour guide Rachel was very professional, calmly and pleasantly resolving issues where possible and making necessary last minute adjustments. I must also praise the taxi service transporting me to and from Heathrow. The drivers were punctual, polite and pleasant to travel with. Overall, however, compared to my previous holidays (especially with SAGA) this experience was very disappointing.
