Chris Stapleton will take his “ All-American Road Show ” across the pond next Autumn for a series of headline arena shows in the U.K. and Ireland, including stops at Manchester’s AO Arena , Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, Dublin’s 3Arena, Birmingham’s Utilita Arena and London’s The O2.

Tickets for the shows, which will feature special guest Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives , will be available for pre-sale starting this Wednesday, September 27 at 10:00 am local time with general on-sale following this Friday, September 29 at 10:00 am local time.

The newly confirmed dates add to an already extensive tour schedule for Stapleton, who will continue his “All-American Road Show” through this fall and will join George Strait for several stadium shows next year. See below for the complete tour itinerary.

The upcoming performances celebrate Stapleton’s highly anticipated new album, Higher , which will be released November 10, produced  by Dave Cobb , Morgane Stapleton and Chris Stapleton, Higher was recorded at Nashville’s RCA Studio A and showcases his supernatural voice and musical versatility across 14 songs that defy genre.

Already receiving critical attention, Stapleton has unveiled two album tracks: “ Think I’m In Love With You ” and “ White Horse ,” of which Billboard praises “a hell-raising anthem, meant to be blared with windows down and enjoyed with ears ringing. ‘White Horse’ finds Stapleton pairing an outlaw swagger with some heaven-scraping vocals, going for the gusto throughout the chorus to try and match the guitar snarl.” Additionally, Consequence declares, “ ‘White Horse’ certainly suggests that Stapleton is leaning into his strengths as a cross-genre act” and Brooklyn Vegan proclaims, “one of the most jaw-dropping singles yet from an artist who rarely if ever misses.”

The new music adds to yet another landmark year for the 8x Grammy, 15x ACM and 15x CMA Award-winner, who is nominated for three more awards at this year’s 57th Annual CMA Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year (“We Don’t Fight Anymore” with Carly Pearce).

Alongside Stapleton (vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, slide electric guitar), the new album features Cobb (acoustic guitar, eclectic guitar), J.T. Cure (bass), Paul Franklin (pedal steel), Derek Mixon (drums), Morgane (background vocals, synthesizer, tambourine) and Lee Pardini (organ, piano).

One of country's most respected and beloved musicians, in the past year, Stapleton was named  Entertainer of the Year  at the 56th ACM Awards - resulting in a prestigious ACM Triple Crown Award and  Male Vocalist of teh Year  at the 2022 CMA Awards - his sixth time earning the award, setting the record for the most wins ever in the category. Additionally, in February, he performed the National Anthem at Super Bowl LVII and has collaborated in recent years with Adele, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, P!nk, Sheryl Crow, Santana and many more.

The new album follows 2020’s acclaimed Starting Over, which went on to win three awards at the 67th Annual GRAMMYs: Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance (“You Should Probably Leave”) and Best Country Song (“Cold”) in addition to earning Album of the Year honors at both the CMA and ACM Awards. Called a “a sure-footed masterpiece” by the Associated Press, the album landed on “Best of 2020” lists at NPR Music, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Esquire, Vulture, The Tennessean and The New York Times, who  declared, “Chris Stapleton’s roar isn’t designed to scare you off. It’s regal, an announcement of an alpha figure asserting his primacy…on this, his fourth album, the thrill is back. ”

Prior to Starting Over, Stapleton released a pair of Platinum-certified releases in 2017 — From A Room: Volume 1 and From A Room: Volume 2 — as well as his x5 Platinum breakthrough solo debut album in 2015, Traveller.

In addition to their work as musicians, the Stapletons are founders of the Outlaw State of Kind charitable fund, which supports a variety of causes that are close to their heart.

American songwriter, singer, producer, and guitarist Chris Stapleton has had a long journey in the music industry. His work is considered a return to the pure art that country music once was: gritty, soulful, and blues-tinged storytelling in musical form...

...with as many foot-stomping songs as mournful tales of sorrow.

Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Stapleton would later move to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a degree in engineering. Instead of finishing his degree, he decided to drop out and focus on his true love — music. While Stapleton is known today for his own hit albums, he began as a contracted songwriter. Even after achieving fame as a musician in his own right, his way with words keeps top talent asking for him by name By 2018, Stapleton had written and co-written over 170 songs, including numerous number-one country hits.

Songs attributed to Stapleton’s genius writing skills include Kenny Chesney’s number-one “Never Wanted Nothing More,” Luke Bryan’s “Drink a Beer,” and Josh Turner’s “Your Man.” In addition to working with many of the top names in the country music industry, Stapleton has also written songs for Adele, Taylor Swift, and Kelly Clarkson.

Before taking center stage as a solo artist, Chris Stapleton was the frontman for two different bands. His first band was a bluegrass ensemble called The SteelDrivers, which he performed with from 2008 to 2010. The band won numerous accolades, including Emerging Artist of the Year from the International Bluegrass Music Association and Best Bluegrass Album. Stapleton went on to lead a second band, The Jompson Brothers, before recording his own solo record.

In 2015, Chris Stapleton broke onto the scene with his debut solo studio album Traveller. This album topped the US Billboard 200 charts and earned a number of CMA nominations. With the release of this album, Chris also earned Best Male Vocalist, New Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year.

Next, Chris would go on to release two more studio albums in 2017: From a Room: Volume 1 and Volume 2. These albums would earn him a slew of additional awards, including his second CMA Award for Album of the Year.

Immediately after this dual release, Stapleton began his All-American Road Show tour. Then, in August 2020, he released his most recent award-winning album Starting Over. This album features the soulful and haunting country-meets-folk music for which the artist is known.

In 2021, Stapleton won Song of the Year and Single of the Year for “Starting Over” at the Country Music Awards. He also won album of the year for Starting Over, as well as additional awards for his work as a producer on the album. In 2022, he took home three awards at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, earning an award for every category in which he was nominated. He also performed at the event, showcasing his incredible on-stage presence.

For those lucky enough to catch one of Stapleton’s tour dates, the artist delivers a memorable experience. Stapleton’s wife Morgane often accompanies him onstage, adding beautiful, harmonious vocals to his soulful sets. It’s not just Stapleton’s musical talent that draws fans to his shows; it’s the sense of community he creates. The southern-born and raised artist is known for personally checking in on his fans, even going as far as offering water to those dancing along to his tunes.

Stapleton continues to tour in 2023, with shows spanning the US, including tour dates in Colorado, Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Arizona.

Live reviews

“It looks like we’re going to have some fun tonight.” Those words were obviously meant for the packed house at the El Rey Theatre in Chico, California, but Chris Stapleton couldn’t take his eyes off his wife when he spoke them. Concealing his true identity behind a grizzly mane and a weathered cowboy hat, the newly-crowned savior of country music seemed just a little uncomfortable in his own skin. It was almost as if he were convincing himself that it was going to be an enjoyable set. When he did expose his wide eyes to the crowd, apprehension could be read loud and clear, but then he’d turn them back to Morgane and let her reflection ease his nerves. She provided backup vocals and made her tambourine sing, but just like Amanda Shires at those Jason Isbell shows in Nashville, Morgane Stapleton’s primary role was that of a muse. Performing in front of an old movie screen, while a sold-out crowd sang every word back at them, the Stapletons must have felt like they were characters in some film themselves. - See more at: http://ilistensoyoudonthaveto.com/2015/11/16/chris-stapleton-el-rey-theatre-11-13-15/#sthash.1GXWlcBl.dpuf

Best night ever! Brett Cobb, Marty Stewart and the Superlatives, then Chris Stapleton!!! The roof was raised by their awesome sound and the crowd singing along to almost every tune. Chris seemed genuinely appreciative of his warm welcome! Seems like such a humble gentleman who stands and delivers with his whole heart. And, what a musician!!! His soulful voice and wailing guitar is mesmerizing! The band is super tight! He calls them his favorite musicians in the world, and they deserve this honor in the highest degree. I am so happy my husband and I will be going to the show in NH on 8/25! And thanks to the nice guy who convinced the tall seat jumpers to move so we could see the show!

Chris is a fine songwriter and even better performer. Great show. And I can’t be the only one to be somewhat disappointed that the opening couple of minutes of Freebird didn’t progress into a full blown cover. Marty Stuart was good too. But the venue needs some logistic reorganization big time. Well over an hour and a half to get from the turn off from highway to our seats. A distance of half a mile if that. Over 30 minutes to get through security. And going home was just as bad. Lots of staff but no plan for them to follow whatsoever. Won’t be going back. If Chris is playing I may make an exception, but not for anyone else.

Fantastic show with Joe Walsh, Don Henley, James Taylor, & Chris Stapleton at the Tacoma Dome on Veterans' Day. I didn't realize when I bought my tickets that it was a benefit show; it was really fun.

Chris (and all the performers) played mostly crowd pleasers. Chris sounded just like he does recorded - no better or worse (not complaining). I thought he'd be performing with his wife as back-up, but he had a full band. It would have been fun to hear one or two songs with just him and a backup singer, but maybe it wouldn't have worked well in a big arena show.

Moments before he was to perform the rain came and soaked most. That did not dampen the spirit of the fans. He sang some new songs from new album with Chris style and also included all our favourites. Ended with Tenessee Whiskey. He is an awesome talent guitar playing srcond to none. His live performance did not disappoint he and what we found out, his wife and two brithers were the other band members. Do not change a thing it was an excellent performance even with the rain.

Chris is an immensely talented singer, writer and musician. What he is not: is a performer.

He probably didn't move more that 24" all night. If he was wearing a Fitbit, he probably only had 12 steps and those were accumulated going on and coming off stage.

Red Rocks is a near-perfect setting for a show and the weather was amazing, but for $90/ ticket I'd like something more than I could experience just listening to his music in my car.

It was a fantastic show! Chris was on fire! The opening act was Kendall Marvel and then Brothers Osborne! Everyone was great! Brothers Osborne are truly bad to the bone! Then Mickey Raphael shows up with Chris! Mickey is a living legend! Best concert I’ve seen! So glad that I was able to attend! Chris is probably one of the most talented guys I have ever had the privilege of hearing! It was worth every penny!

That was 1 of the best "mellow" concerts I've ever seen. His voice is enough to send chills - truly amazing! From his shock at the crowds excitement to his humble gratitude I can truly say that I will definitely be going to another Chris Stapleton show. The best was his introduction of his band- the words/lyrics were so personal and funny and actually had us all wanting more!

Loved the show. I knew appreciated your voice and songwriting, but I was also wowed by your ability to play the guitar. My only disappintment was my favorite tune, What are You Listening To, did not make the show. I know it is impossible to cover everything, but I wanted you to know, women love that song. Thank you for a wonderful show. Hope to see you again soon!

ccarter7’s profile image

It was amazing. His voice is soothing to my soul and such a treat for your ears. His prebands, Brothers Osborne and Kendell Marvel were so good, too. They had great voices and all 3 were so amazing on their instruments. I love when bands kill it on their guitars, drums, and pianos and you can not get much better than what we saw. Loved every bit of the bands.

Chris Stapleton Continues All-American Road Show Through 2022 With New Tour Dates

By Jon Freeman

Jon Freeman

Chris Stapleton is keeping a steady pace on tour this year: He’s added new dates to his headlining All-American Road Show that will carry him all the way through fall. The country songwriter kicks off the trek in March after an appearance at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

For this extended leg of the All-American Road Show, Stapleton will double up with back-to-back performances at some of the American venues. That means two nights in Durant, Oklahoma; Atlantic City, New Jersey; and Denver, Colorado. In April, Stapleton will head into Canada for three weeks, stopping in major cities from Montreal to Vancouver. Additional stops will include the newly finished Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville, Alabama; Wrigley Field in Chicago; and Hershey Park Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Tickets for most shows go on sale Friday, Feb. 25 , at 10 a.m. local time. Joining Stapleton for the trek will be a changing lineup of opening acts including Margo Price, Yola, Mike Campbell & the Dirty Knobs, Dwight Yoakam, Elle King, Madeline Edwards, Marty Stuart, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, the Highwomen, and Morgan Wade. At his April 23 Concert for Kentucky, Stapleton will share the stage with Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, and Yola, while the July 30 show at Arrowhead Stadium will put Stapleton in a supporting role for George Strait.

Stapleton is nominated for three Grammy Awards at the upcoming April 3 event, including a Best Country Album nod for Starting Over .

The new performances add to yet another monumental year for the 5x GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician, who is nominated for three more awards at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards-Best Country Album (Starting Over), Best Country Song ("Cold") and Best Country Solo Performance ("You Should Probably Leave")-as well as five awards at this year's 57th ACM Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year ("You Should Probably Leave," as artist and producer) and Video of the Year (Taylor Swift's "I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version))."

Moreover, Stapleton's current single, "You Should Probably Leave," reached #1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts last week-his third #1 as an artist following 2021's "Starting Over" and 2018's "Broken Halos." Stapleton also earned Best Country Tour at last week's 33rd Annual Pollstar Awards and was recently the subject of an in-depth profile at CBS' "60 Minutes."

Released last fall on Mercury Records Nashville (stream/purchase here ), Starting Over is an album of startling prescience, featuring fourteen tracks that examine life's simplest joys and most serious struggles. Once again produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, the record debuted at #1 on Billboard's Country Albums chart and landed on several "Best of 2020" lists including NPR Music, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Esquire, Vulture, The Tennessean and The New York Times, who declares, "Chris Stapleton's roar isn't designed to scare you off. It's regal, an announcement of an alpha figure asserting his primacy...on this, his fourth album, the thrill is back."

Kentucky-born Stapleton is a 5x Grammy, 14x CMA and 9x ACM Award-winner and one of the country's most respected and beloved musicians. Following 2015's quintuple platinum breakthrough solo debut album Traveller, Stapleton released two #1 albums in 2017. Both From A Room: Volume 1 (certified platinum) and From A Room: Volume 2 (certified gold) take their name from legendary RCA Studio A, where they were recorded with Cobb.

Released to overwhelming critical acclaim, The Tennessean praises, "Both are rich with the textures of Stapleton's vocals that make him one of country music's most beloved artists, classic country sounds and thoughtful articulate lyrics about love, life and pain." He was also recently announced as the first-ever "Artist-Songwriter of the Decade" recipient by the Academy of Country Music.

That includes 2022, when Stapleton brings his All American Roadshow to venues all over North America from March to September.

Chris Stapleton Confirms New 2022 Tour Dates

chris stapleton european tour 2022

Chris Stapleton’s “All-American Road Show” will continue throughout 2022 with newly added stops at L.A.’s The Forum, Detroit’s Comerica Park, DC’s Merriweather Post Pavilion, Long Island’s Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center and Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena among many others. See below for complete itinerary.

The new performances add to yet another monumental year for the 5x GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician, who is nominated for three more awards at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards—Best Country Album (Starting Over), Best Country Song (“Cold”) and Best Country Solo Performance (“You Should Probably Leave”)—as well as five awards at this year’s 57th ACM Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year (“You Should Probably Leave,” as artist and producer) and Video of the Year (Taylor Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version)).”

Moreover, Stapleton’s current single, “You Should Probably Leave,” reached #1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts last week—his third #1 as an artist following 2021’s “Starting Over” and 2018’s “Broken Halos.” Stapleton also earned Best Country Tour at last week’s 33rd Annual Pollstar Awards and was recently the subject of an in-depth profile at CBS’ “60 Minutes.”

Released last fall on Mercury Records Nashville (stream/purchase here), Starting Over is an album of startling prescience, featuring fourteen tracks that examine life’s simplest joys and most serious struggles. Once again produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, the record debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart and landed on several “Best of 2020” lists including NPR Music, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Esquire, Vulture, The Tennessean and The New York Times, who declares, “Chris Stapleton’s roar isn’t designed to scare you off. It’s regal, an announcement of an alpha figure asserting his primacy…on this, his fourth album, the thrill is back.”

Kentucky-born Stapleton is a 5x Grammy, 14x CMA and 9x ACM Award-winner and one of the country’s most respected and beloved musicians. Following 2015’s quintuple platinum breakthrough solo debut album Traveller, Stapleton released two #1 albums in 2017. Both From A Room: Volume 1 (certified platinum) and From A Room: Volume 2 (certified gold) take their name from legendary RCA Studio A, where they were recorded with Cobb. Released to overwhelming critical acclaim, The Tennessean praises, “Both are rich with the textures of Stapleton’s vocals that make him one of country music’s most beloved artists, classic country sounds and thoughtful articulate lyrics about love, life and pain.” He was also recently announced as the first-ever “Artist-Songwriter of the Decade” recipient by the Academy of Country Music.
