Queens Landing/Lake Cruises, Inc. was established in 1991 and is anchored by its primary attraction: the “Catawba Queen”.    A custom-designed replica of a Mississippi riverboat, the “Catawba Queen” was a “one boat show” offering cruises for sightseeing as well as for lunches and elegant dinner outings. Later, in 1998, a second riverboat, the “Catawba Belle” joined the family. Decorated to Mrs. Jack William’s specifications and taste, the Catawba Belle was graceful and stunning to all who road it until 2005 when it was retired to Arkansas and renamed “Miss Liberty”.    And, in that same year the “Lady of the Lake”, a 90-foot luxury yacht took its place.

The Catawba Queen and Lady of the Lake are the only boats of their kind on Lake Norman that are Coast Guard certified making them sturdy enough to charter even the coastline.

What’s Better Than Dinner with a View on a Queen’s Landing Dinner Cruise?

Once you board the Lady of the Lake dinner cruise , you know you are in for a fun-filled evening. The yacht features 2 enclosed floors with a fully stocked bar. Weather permitting there is an upper floor with an open balcony offering beautiful lake views. Dinner on the Queen’s Landing dinner cruise is a chef created 4-course meal. Meals include a cheese plate, 2nd-course salad, 3 rd main course and dessert for the 4 th course.

To upgrade your experience on the Lady of the Lake, there are ways to make you feel like a VIP. You can add a red or white bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, or upgrade to the ultimate King or Queen VIP package. The King and Queen upgrade include champagne, private seating, and accented table linens. In addition to your meal, you will enjoy live entertainment on board.

Cruises book up quickly so it is recommended to book online early. Tickets start at $16.00 for children ages 2-4. Youth ages 5-12 tickets are $33.00 and adult tickets are $74.99. Senior tickets are $68.99. Price of ticket includes a meal and the 2-hour cruise around the lake.

I had a credit because my husband a hospital emergency .I tried for months to reach Catawba Queen No answer phone or email They sent a confirmation that my pary of 3 was "booked "and "attended a dinner cruise just a couple of weeks ago.Neither was true !!They cheated us out of our cruise & dinner almost 200$ I still have not heard from this business Mary Callicutt

This place is a complete scam! I spent over $200 for tickets and due to how poor the weather was going to be the weekend we were to go. I called and asked when we could come again. I was told that I could use my tickets within the next year. I have been attempting to call and email this business for months with no response. This company has now scammed me out of this money and I've never had a tour. Look somewhere else to enjoy the water here in North Carolina as this place is complete trash

Date night/belated Valentine's Day. When you reserve you spot, you also place your food orders and can add to overall meal but prices vary. They have packages as well. For a little over $200, we got an amazing 3 course meal, bottle of wine, and chocolate covered strawberries. Everything was delicious! Boarding was pretty easy, and everything is prepared so you're not waiting on everything. We got on, sat, our wine was already there. They gve us salad and bread (sad to know but you cant get extra bread), before we left port so you can either eat it then or wait to pull off at 7. You have two options for food (pictures posted). My BF loved it and he normally doesn't eat green beans but yes food was bomb.com. And desert changes but ours was cheesecake, and it was so good! Food was great! And there is a bar so you can order other drinks. They had a musician on board, 2nd floor, where we sat, and he sang and played his guitar nicely. I will say request not to sit next to the speakers, music was super loud there and we struggled hearing eachother. But still a good experience. The boat itself was nice, they should do some updates on decor, especially the carpet. Just an old pattern that isn't cute unless they're going for the old school vibe. And there are several outdoors space that were nice. Because its winter, it's cold af in the lake and got dark pretty quickly. Bartender said in the summer, it's nice cause the sun goes down later so you can actually see. They do ask you leave some gratuity but not required. Overall great experience will be coming back for the summer.

Worst New Years Eve experience I have ever had. They had two levels of price selections. 75 bucks a head for GA. Included a buffet of chicken wings, Mac and cheese, meat balls, and nacho chips that looked like they came from a tostitos bag. I paid for the upgraded VIP experience on the upper deck that included a bottle of Moët (it did). And was supposed to include our own buffet. The pic is the buffet. Yes we got what looked like the leftover from downstairs. Never again Do NOT BOOK this awful experience

Really nice dinner cruise around Lake Norman with some good sightseeing. The food was pretty good!

We took the Catabwa Queen boat ride at Queens Landing at Lake Norman. The fee included a box lunch. Our ride was a little over an hour. Actually it was a relaxing ride and almost boring. The weather was a bit overcast and our box lunch uneventful, sweet tea or unsweetened tea and water were the beverages. Most of the info reflected about the houses around the lake and who lived there. I sat on the first deck as the upper deck uncovered and damp and windy. Probably a nicer day would have been more cheerful . A nice one time experience but I wouldn't return.

Husband and I went out for our anniversary dinner! Just moved to area and wanted to go on a dinner cruise for a new way to celebrate! The first thing I saw immediately was that Lady needs a good scrubbing down! As soon as we sat down we were served our salads..... small very small and consisted of spring mix grape tomatoes and cheese, extremely small. There was a basket on the table with 2 cuts of bread ! I knew then we were in trouble! If you wanted more ‍oh well! My husband got salmon and I got the medallions (4 small slices of meat cooked well done) cheesecake for dessert! The food was good not great. Was I disappointed.... You bet! This place needs a well needed makeover and don't come hungry!

Really nice. Would have loved to go when it was light outside but even though that was the idea of the dinner we still had a great time. The prime rib was great although my daughters salmon was dry. The guy signing upstairs was a bit loud but then we sat by the door. I woudl during cold weather not allow people to keep going to the front of the boat. The open the door go out then turn right around and come in and the table near the door gets cold. But all in all we had a pleasant time. I woudl do it again. Oh and one piece of cheese cake was still frozen...but mine was perfect and the best I have had in a while

Queens Landing has two different dinner charters: Catawba Queen, a reproduction Mississippi River boat, and Lady of of the Lake, a modern yacht vessel. I only mention this because my reservation was booked for the Queen but a couple of days prior I received a call that the Queen was out of service for maintenance and they asked to rebook us on the Lady. The short review is that we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise and felt we got good value for the price (which due to the rebooking saved us $20). The only thing preventing a 5 Star was the condition of the Queens Landing facilities which are in need of repair and updates. The preboarding routine was as expected. We checked in and were given boarding passes, then we purchased drinks from the bar and took them out dockside to wait for boarding. To give an example of the kinds of updates needed, the bar was next to the ice cream counter, next to a rack of T-shirts, next to the check-in and doubled as a BBQ snack counter. Just a mash of different things that would be better served in separate spaces. A DJ played island music at a tiki hut outside which was pleasant relaxation while sipping our drinks. Boarding started on time with the obligatory photographer who sold the framed photos upon returning. We were seated at a table dressed in white and red linen next to a window. Wait staff circulated for orders from the onboard bar. A small green salad was at each place setting. As we got underway a cheese and fruit platter was available. About 15 minutes later entree's were brought out. These were pre ordered at booking time. A generous prime rib cut was cooked to order along some skin on mashed red potatoes and a medley of summer vegetables. Other entrees available were chicken Marsala, salmon, or pasta. The vegetables were very nicely done, slightly firm. Wait staff continued to circulate clearing plates and refilling bar drinks. It was nice that they worked as a team so any of them could be tapped for assistance. Dessert was a peach cobbler which would have been enhanced by a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream. Still very flavorful. All of this happened while we cruised at a slow speed around Lake Norman. Sunset was beautiful, the dining area was air conditioned at a comfortable temperature. Guests were free to roam the front and back open air decks at their leisure. We arrived back at the landing right on time. A very pleasant experience overall.

I attended the brunch cruise on Easter Sunday aboard the Lady of the Lake yacht on Lake Norman in Mooresville, NC. It was such an amazing experience! The brunch food was excellent! The cocktails were amazing! I ate indoors on the yacht with amazing views of the lake and lots of boats in the water...sail boats, speed boats, catamarans, etc. The Captain of the yacht, the servers, the cooks and bartenders were extremely nice and accommodating! I will be doing this again! I'll likely try the dinner cruise with live entertainment.

We took the sunset cruise and let me just say the service from the workers was absolutely wonderful. The drinks were great and affordable. Views as you can see in the pictures were great. Would definitely recommend everyone try this at least once while in Hawaii

Lady of The Lake. This experience was everything! Well worth the money. Beautiful place. The food was well seasoned and delicious. The staff was nice and professional. Especially our bartender Thomas he rocks and make awesome drinks. The only bad thing I can say is the music was only geared towards the really older crowd and I'm 51. But there was not a good mix of music for everyone. And alot of real slow music no upbeat music.But the ride was stunning. We will do again.

A great place for a day out on the lake. I did the Easter brunch ride on lady of the lake and it was amazing. Food was delicious, drinks were wonderful and the whole atmosphere was fantastic. Great customer service as well. We had the perfect weather too so it worked out completely. Highly recommend doing one of their tours.

Dinner Cruise Fun

Two large yachts are available- each offering lunch & dinner cruises on Lake Norman! Lovely 2 hour dinner cruise offered chicken, prime rib or salmon, with salad, bread & very good cheesecake with a strawberry glaze. Staff worked very well with guests- friendly & liquor was available. Not a fancy ship- but pleasant clean & a relaxing way to spend an evening on the super huge lake!

Really wonderful way to spend an afternoon at LKN. Feed the fishes (actually giant carp) from the dock while to wait to board one of the boats. Grab a cold beverage, stand with the wind in your face...pretend you are somewhere....

We went on the dinner cruise on Lady of the Lake and were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The salad dressings are sitting on the table when you get there, the cheese ball is the quality of something bought at Harris Teeter, the prime rib tough and the salmon dry and tasteless. No vegetable served with dinner, just a baked potato with packets of sour cream. Extremely disappointing, but if you're not going for dinner, the cruise is fine! However, don't expect to be able to go outside and views are limited on the inside.

Sightseeing on Lake Norman is an enjoyable family activity on a Sunday afternoon. Cruises are available for sightseeing only or for a lunch cruise. (Dinner cruises are also available.) There are two boats a Mississippi Riverboat replica or a luxury yacht. The cruises are also available for specail events. The 90 minute cruise is an affordable family or group activity, especially if you watch for BOGO offers. The decks are plastic enclosed during cooler weather for passengers comfort. The captain narrrates during the cruise around the lake and provides very detailed information.

We hosted a post wedding cruise around Lake Norman for our friends and family that stuck around before going back north. Its a beautiful little ship and the staff are very friendly. Wish they would have had better seating for the older guests we had with us.

I went with my daughter, her cousin, & her grandmother. We rode the Catawba Queen. The ride was great! The captain was very knowledgeable about the sights and houses along the shores. On the return trip, he offered anyone brave enough to come drive the boat. Since no one moved, I took the girls to see if he was serious & he was. He allowed them to drive the boat for at least a half hour! He continued the tour on his microphone with directions for the girls on which way to go inbetween. This was the small "out & back" tour, so there was only a snack provided. Bring water, food, etc.

She is available to help serve your meals, assist with drinks, water toys etc. she is CPR AED, and basic emergency medical service trained. Our 41 foot pontoon boat has had a lot of experience on the Lake Norman waters. The Carolina Tiki was originally the old dinner boat from a restaurant on the shoreline of Lake Norman called the Blue Parrot. After sitting unused for almost two decades, we purchased the vessel and got to work resurrecting the old dinosaur to be able to do charters on Lake Norman. After almost a year in the making, we had completely tore down and rebuilt the boat to accommodate groups looking to enjoy a more relaxed vibe on the water. 

Our charters consist of 4, 6 and 8 hour time slots, which allows you to really make the most out of your time on the boat. Our family had an amazing day on the lake with Captain Chris and Austin. From the start, the service was amazing with them helping us get our items down the dock and onto the boat. The boat is so clean and nice! Chris and Austin were so good with both the adults (tossing us fresh drinks when we were in the water) and the 4 kids under 5 that we had (from getting out fun water toys to swinging a little one to sleep in a hammock). They grilled our burgers and hotdogs we brought for lunch… even toasted our buns! We already plan to be return customers, and I cannot say anything but good things about the boat and crew! Thanks again for a memorable family day!

We had a group of ladies on a Workcation trip in the Lake Norman, Denver area this past week! We wanted to do something on the water and thought that a sunset cruise would be the perfect thing! I reached out to Carolina Tiki and they were so accommodating and easy to communicate with. The captain picked us up on our house dock and off we went! They provided everything that we could have needed. The captains were so sweet and explained everything we could possibly need to know. There is even a bathroom on the boat! This was such an amazing experience! Like a party on a boat with an incredible sunset! Highly highly recommend!

Being a family owned and operated business means that most of these people are the ones who are closest to us. We can't wait to meet you and make your charter on gorgeous Lake Norman something to remember. 

Captain Chris

Chris is an extremely knowledgeable USCG certified captain who served our military as an avionics tech in the air force when he was younger. After he completed his time in the military he started to work as an air traffic control officer all throughout the country. Eventually he settled in Charlotte and became the manager of the entire air traffic control tower at the Charlotte Douglas airport. After retiring at the air traffic control tower, he decided to do the Great American Loop with his wife Angela and their son Sebastian. Chris is always looking for an adventure and can not wait to greet all the guests who get on board for their charter. If you ever have any question or need anything Chris will not hesitate to help. 

Captain Austin

Austin is a full time student at UNCC studying business finance. Austin has a few roles on the Carolina Tiki, whether that be as a first mate, a captain or managing the social media accounts, he can do it all. When Carolina Tiki first started, Austin, and his father Jason were the ones who got to work remodeling. Once the boat was ready for captained charters he started as a first mate, doing charters with captain Chris or Jason. During the winter of 2022 he got his USCG Master captains license and has been captaining more and more charters. Austin will always greet guests with open arms and will not hesitate to help with anything you may need. 

Captain Jason

Jason and his wife Lisa founded the Carolina Tiki and have grown it into what it is today. After purchasing the boat and remodeling it, Jason was the first master captain to take groups out on charters aboard the Carolina Tiki with his son, Austin as the first mate. Jason also owns and operates his own construction business called Kraft Construction as the general contractor. With this being said, Jason has taken a step back from captaining due to his trust in Austin and Chris and to focus more on Kraft Construction. However if you call over the phone Jason may be the one to answer and take care of all of your questions and needs. 

Lisa is part owner along with her husband Jason and handles all of our in house operations. This includes the booking process, sending emails and answering phone calls. Lisa also works as a 1st grade teacher at J.V. Washam, a school in the Lake Norman area. If you ever have any questions about how to book or anything specific before your charter Lisa will always be more than happy to help. 

Charlee Kraft

Charlee is our first mate in training. She's in first grade right now at J.V. Washam and loves puppies. She is always practicing how to drive the boat with the supervision of her brother, Austin and she gets better every time. Be on the lookout because Charlee may be on a charter with you soon!

Established in 1993, The Landing has become a staple in the Lake Norman waterfront dining community. Also Waterside, in Catawba County, on the northern part of Lake Norman. By boat it’s just past Goat Island. Good food, very relaxed vibe, live music on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
