Top 5 airlines flying to Anywhere

My wife with 5 month son were traveling. No proper support was provided for luggage handling. Although it was requested in prior. My wife sole manage everything and was not as expected.

This was an old 320 without a screen or USB charging port even in the business class. The food could have been better.

a real good flying experince. Everything was excellent right from check-in to baggage collection at destination.

Food is tasting bad, and it is a fusion but not authentic.

Excellent experience and now my preferred airline. Even a fantastic meal with dessert in a 2 hour flight.

off late the crew and the air in the flight is becoming that of a budget airline not the earlier Vistara .

It wasn't clear from where to board flight international or domestic Airport

Information was not clear from where to check in international or domestic Airport at Ahmedabad.

The deplaning experience was bad, since they did not get the aerobridge at Madras on arrival and the bus felt like a local train during office hour rush

i bought a biz class fare but a few days before vistara always changes my biz class flight to economy .. happened to me 4 times .. seated could be wider .. boarding could be more organized .. crew did their best but not enough resources all in all very poor experience

Really liked attitude of staff, particularly at the time of Check-In, though they were slow. and punctuality of the flight, In tie take-off and in-time landing.

Nice place and crew. Everything from checking bags all the way to arrival was excellent

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL SEATS. I was on row 6 and they had put exit row seats (where the handrests don't move). I am 5 ft 2 and had NO space in front of me - the seat in front of me was touching my knees. Was the most claustrophobic 3 hours of my life. It was like being in a cage. I won't be traveling in Akasa ever again unless there's a must-go situation and no other options are available.

Considering their new step to aviation world , it didnt seemed like they doesn't know how to serve the guest on board and in ground . Super prompt services is really appreciating and on time rather before time arrival is something to applaud.

Overall experience has been festinating. your on ground staff at the check in counters are very special and they make a big difference on my opinion and hence rated them 10 out of 10. Well groomed, speak politely, guide well and give appropriate suggestions. During boarding also it is well planned and well managed. Overall a good job. just an issue with your Mobile app. while check - in from mobile app it dosent take the Auto assigned seats and then when done from a Laptop it takes place. This has to sorted out. I have faced this issue for the 7th time in last 40 days while travelling with Akasa Air.

My choice of food was not availabe for purchase, even veg cup noodle was not available and I had to settle for chicken. The Kombucha was great though The landing was very bumpy. Would not prefer to fly again

Indigo attempts to make you pay for a seat during check in. I opted to not do this. The result - they allotted me and my minor son seats apart. In the interest of making maximum money, they seem to have lost common sense too. Similarly, even during the flight, the crew are busy trying to serve food to those who’ve already paid for it. By the time they’re done, it’s time to land and no one else is able to get anything. Sadly this seems to be what makes them profitable, customers just need to bear with it till a better airline comes along.

As usual invariably delayed Lots of time in getting chkd in baggage

Staff needs to be trained in managing customers better. Indigo appears to be a low cost airlines in all aspects.

Flight was delayed and also lots of mosquitoes on the flight

Two times the gate was changed and flight got delayed

INDIGO Never On Time & Always Prefer to Shuttle Passengers Like shuttle Corks

I did not like the communication gap existing amongst the staff and the customer. My flight to Nagpur was delayed by two and half hours but it was informed to me on email ( not by W.A. or SMS) when I have already left my home in Baner area. I was painfully detained at airport with luggage when the gate no. 10 was changed to 5. I'll never recommend your flight to anybody.

Seats don't recline, no charging points. New aircraft and very clean. Crew should serve some water atleast.

Wife and I were seated in separate seats across the aisle

There was inordinate delay without any plausible reason. This has become a normal feature of Indigo now a days.

I have been an NRI living abroad for the last 35 years, but I had one of my worst experiences recently at the Dharbhanga airport, especially with the ground staff. Their behavior was very rude; one of the staff members almost abused me and charged me extra for my laptop and cable that I was carrying from Dharbhanga to Delhi, where I had an international flight. Despite being careful with the weight limits, the ground staff treated me very poorly, making it one of the worst flying experiences of my life.

Staff could have been helpful when traveling with kids and seniors. Not at all professional staff, just some janitors who do not understand hospitality. The food was horrible; the tomatoes tasted foul. The flight was small and the legroom was not good.

Flight was changed without proper monitor display. Boarding process was confusing with no announcements.

Flight arrived on time even though boarding and takeoff were delayed. No infant seatbelt provided. Crew was a bit indifferent. Baggage was damaged and representatives refused to write up a damage report.

IGI T-1 terminal is under renovation. So, the boarding and check in process took extremely long, due to reduced number of kiosks. Further, the flight was delayed by 1 hour 15 mins. The same was not being properly informed to the passengers because of which a feeling of slight chaos was evident amongst the passengers. All this further increased the discomfort, which was already in the menu due to the ATR aircraft. Lastly, the Spicescreen website wasn't working properly due to pathetic interface and poor wifi connectivity, which otherwise could have been a pass-time during the flight. Such issues were not expected from Spicejet and need to be taken care and handled in a better manner in future.

The flight 3 time delay I was so nervous and full tired

Flight cancelled without notice at the 11th hour, refund not done now one week passed

Timing Should be Accurate to Fly Flight was Delay By 3 hrs

Fly has been canceled 3 hours before departure. That happens after 2 delayed departures. No automatic compensation. Spicejet refused to give us compensation form. Bad service.

Landing at Delhi IGI AIRPORT was not smooth. It made us bit nervous. Then the rest was ok. Staff and the crew are very efficient.

The Air India lounge in Delhi , was very disappointing! The food was of poor quality and options were limited especially for vegetarians!! Beverages were fine. The in flight crew was excellent! . They helped me with my seat controls - the controls did not work without a hassle or assistance!! A very poor showing for a Business cabin!!! Post flight , the wheel chair passengers ( including Me) were “ shepherded and left waiting twice (an hour or more) before taking us to immigration! I chose to Fly Air India because I want. to patronize our National carrier with the hope that the experience will improve!!! Regrettably, I will have to look at other options for my next trip to India

Mediocre staff, crappy food selections and no entertainment for a 14 hour flight. The only good thing was that it was a direct flight.

Entertainment system was not working and was told I would get a voucher and have not got one. No toiletries were available not even a toothbrush false sweet talk by ground staff

Not comfortable for sitting. Sits are too close to each other and it’s too hard for butt..you need to improve your entertainment section like tv programming, Movies, it’s so hard to kill 15 hrs in long flights .you don’t serve good food like other competitive airlines thats my opinion

Worst International flight I ever had in my whole life time. Boarding is the worst of all and flight experience was also not good. Screens were not working, seats were not comfortable and lot more.

Comfortable seats, on time departures and arrival, and helping staff

Very very impressed with the proactive care and alertness with which ABHISHEK Chowdhary took care of us. Quietl, dignified , very alert, and meticulous. Very impressed. Also with SUNiL Kumar who was there for us in a very helpful way. SHERLY ALEX On Flight 119, BOM TO JFK CUSTOMER ON SEAT 21C, 21ST March 2024

If you are traveling to mumbai -- must try SFO - MUM direct flight. It's a game changer when you are traveling to India. Timings are well designed, optimal and makes the travel enjoyable.

On time boarding, proper information, friendly and cordial approach of staff, particularly crew members and the most important timely available of checked in baggage after arrival.

Air India needs to launch new planes. Seats are worn out, most of the plane's TV screens wasn't working, USB charging ports wasn't working as well so I can charge my phone & watch my download movies, Food was mediocre, the plane smells. How can Air India put through their customers with this bad experience? This complaint needs to get escalated to the upper management. How shameful is the upper management to improve this plane? The flight is going back & forth from NEW YORK & DELHI. Two of the big cities in the world and this is how your experience is for sitting in a plane for 12+ hrs? Get your planes fixed ASAP Air India (TATA Management do your job right).

International Travel: Money-Saving Tips

When it comes to saving money on your international travels, here are some valuable tips to keep in mind:

  • Ditch the Travel Agency Packages : Avoid booking packages from travel agencies as they often inflate costs. Instead, find deals online and explore countries on your own, allowing you more control over your budget. Additionally, making friends with locals can lead to insider tips and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Timing is Key : Plan your trip one month before or a few weeks after the peak season in your chosen country. This way, you can take advantage of lower prices and save a few bucks.
  • Embrace Local Experiences : Opt for local food and explore local transportation options rather than relying on taxis everywhere. This not only allows you to immerse yourself in the culture but also helps you save money on dining and transportation expenses.
  • Consider Local SIM Cards : Instead of purchasing other country SIM cards while still in India, look for cheaper options at local shops in your destination. Often, you can find SIM cards with one-week validity at reasonable prices. Alternatively, activating international roaming can result in higher costs.
  • Avoid Airport Currency Exchange : Steer clear of exchanging currency at airports, as the conversion rates are typically less favorable. For better rates, consider exchanging currency at a bank before your trip or upon arrival.

With these money-saving tips, you can make the most of your international travel while keeping your expenses in check.

International trips from India that are cheaper than your smartphones!

Priya Srivastava , TIMESOFINDIA.COM , TRAVEL TRENDS , WORLD Updated : Apr 27, 2022, 18:57 IST

foreign trips from india

Imagine yourself buying a smartphone worth thousands of bucks! Of course, the joy of playing with your new phone dies in a few weeks or months. But imagine going on a soul trip at the exact same budget (or even less), memories of which will stay with you for the rest of your life! Well there are some amazing places around India that can be explored in less than INR 40000 (round trip)!

With some good planning and research, you can visit these places and add to your album of life. Let’s check these:

One of the world’s best holiday destinations, Thailand is all about pretty beaches, mighty mountains and rich temples. From India, the round trip flight tickets will cost you somewhere between INR 15000 and INR 20000. Budget travellers in India generally prefer travelling to Thailand as the whole trip costs just under INR 30000 (for 5 days).

One of the cheapest international destinations from India is Sri Lanka. The place is noted for being the best backpacking/budget nations. From New Delhi, the return flight costs somewhere around INR 20000 only! The place impresses with the aroma of tea plantations, and local delicacies.

If you think Singapore is an expensive country, you are not wrong. However, with some tiny tricks and good planning, you can explore the colourful country on a budget. The price of return flights from India costs somewhere between INR 22000 and INR 25000 (per person). This tiny yet super modern nation has several properties ideal for budget travellers. Brimming with futuristic attractions and immense greenery, Singapore always impresses you with its combination of modern charm and colourful lanes.

Another popular low-budget foreign destination from India, Seychelles impresses with its bluest water of the Indian Ocean and pristine beaches. This African paradise is noted for its picture-perfect beauty and the round trip flight from India costs somewhere INR 36000 onwards.

One of the most scenic nations in the world, Bhutan is as pristine as it gets. The country is brimming with natural wonders and is considered one of the best cheap international destinations from India. Though finding a direct flight to Bhutan from India can be a little difficult, what you can do is reach Bagdogra which is the closest Indian airport to the Bhutan border. From there, get a bus that takes somewhere around 5 hours.

CAN YOU SUGGEST BEST TOUR OPERATOR FOR TOURS IN INDIA. ESPECIALLY NORTH

Oxygen Holidays is not a good company . Bad service .. And also this company is not a famous company. Only 1 single person is running this company .

I am planning to go on a European tour next year for a summer vacation along with my family.. Kindly suggest in choosing the right tour operator from Mumbai as I am confused in identifying the right one with full value for my money..

Go with any operator, but never go with Koala, Chandigarh

Let me know about your international tour operations

You can check vayu seva which is in Kolkata .we did our Dubai trip with them and it was a very well organised trip .Now we are going to east Europe with them in june 2019 . You can contact them.

Dear Mr. Karthik

Thank you for this article. Kindly note that I am a travel passionate person and I have 90 years plus old father and we need your help to organize for us Cruise Tours which will help to travel hasselfree.

Please advise us best Cruise Trip which will be good as well as economical. We are interested to take the package for Thailand specially phuket and karabi and bali or Singapore.

We can plan to go in the month of Sept and October,, 2019..

Looking forward to hear from you at the earliest.

Hello Mani I am crazy Traveller 2017 I visited Europe with Kesri but I was disappointed. This year I want to travel USA with a low budget. Can u suggest me a good operator?

Hi Mr. Karthik. Thank you, for this article. I will appreciate if you can give me an idea for the international tour operators for senior citizens. They will be traveling all by themselves and with a knee problem. They live in a small town Asansol, WB. So agencies from Kolkata will be helpful for them. Thank you, very much for your time!

I don’t have experience with them Sobhan. If you want me to check with folks in Mumbai I can.

Hair Mani Karthik,I am SOBHAN from Kochi, Kerala.I am planning an abroad family tour with my friend on April this year to Singapore… Malaysia…. Langkawi.I am searching for a balanced package for 8 or 9 days. Can I know how is this tour operator DESIRE HOLIDAYS PVT LTD MUMBAI.If you know please give me your valuable suggestions.Thanks….

Do you have a recommendation Lalita?

I would say, its a high time we should give a chance to emerging Tour Operators. Since they are new in this market, they need to make their name in the market and hence they would surely ensure that even the teeny weeny requests and demands of the clients are met.

Happy Traveling!

Is that the only way you know to find out what is good and not? This is not a certification, but a suggested list.

Did you travelled with all of them? How can your certify that they are best travel company? May be misguiding …

we are planning a trip to the Canadian Rockies, Alaska & Naiagara falls. Would you be able to suggest any good tour operators that cover these & we are vegetarians. Thanks

It.s a Marathi establishment and anyone out side it will be like fish out of water.I had this experience and believe me I felt like an untouchable.Horrible . The language of conversation is also Marathi.

Hai Mani we plan for a short trip to europe limited countries which is the best tour operator and we are frombangalore

I am totally unhappy with Thomas Cook, on trip to Andamans they put me in terrible hotel at port Blair , a room with just a bed ( called it 3 star), did not give time for lunch on one segment, being diabetic that became a serious concern

Did not take us to many tourist attractions though was mentioned in their list, Claimed these were COMPLEMENTARY AND HENCE WE SHOULD COVER IT ON OUT OWN. This was mentioned in the offer letter. Did not give the iteneary till the last .

In short package was grossly mis- sold. Did not expect that from a number one tour operater. Could not even connect to them on phone after the money was paid.

Where from are you planning to board George?

Hi Mani, Please can you advise a tour operator for a trip to Holy Land, Petra & Egypt with a Nile cruise to Aswan. Me & my wife want to travel sometime in October/ November 2018. Look forward to your response Thanks George
