Johnny Depp Announces Summer 2023 UK Tour with Hollywood Vampires Band amid Shows with Jeff Beck

Also featuring Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen, Depp's band added six UK dates to their 2023 summer tour — more than four months since his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard

Johnny Depp 's Hollywood Vampires band has added a string of UK concert dates to its upcoming 2023 tour.

In a video posted to social media on Monday, the 59-year-old actor announced the rock group — which also features Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen — will be performing at six arena venues across England in July 2023 with special guests Seether and The Tubes.

Tickets go on presale for the supergroup's fan club on Tuesday at 10 a.m. BST, then venue presales launch Wednesday at 10 a.m. BST for Glasgow, Manchester and London and the following day at 10 a.m. BST for all other venues. General on-sale tickets become available Friday at 10 a.m. BST. Information regarding tickets can be found at Hollywood Vampires' website .

The new tour dates, along with previously announced European concerts set to take place in June 2023, were originally planned for 2021 before Hollywood Vampires canceled all their shows due to pandemic travel restrictions. "We kept trying to make it happen, but unfortunately due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 travel restrictions, it is just not possible," wrote the band in a March 2021 statement.

Hollywood Vampires formed in 2012 and has since released two albums, 2015's Hollywood Vampires and 2019's Rise .

Earlier this month, Depp and Jeff Beck, who released an album together over the summer, began their U.S. tour (which goes through November and has stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville and more) at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. — just over four months since a verdict was reached in his Virginia defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard . His attorneys from the Fairfax, Virginia, trial, Camille Vasquez and Benjamin Chew, attended the show and posed for photos backstage wearing VIP passes.

On June 1, the jury sided mostly with Depp and awarded him more than $10 million in damages. They found that Heard, 36, defamed him in her 2018 op-ed about domestic abuse, though she didn't mention him by name in the article. Additionally, Heard won one of her defamation counterclaims, awarded $2 million in damages. They are both appealing the verdicts.

Earlier this month, Depp spoke to SiriusXM about how it's felt to play concerts again for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic. "Jeff very simply and kindly — and his wife, Sandra — just took me into their house, and I lived with them for months and months and months. Then, we went on the first tour together," he said. "For me, having had to deal with other things at the same time, once those things are down the road and you drop into the tour, it's like you're home."

American supergroup Hollywood Vampires announce their UK return with a July 2023 tour. You just can’t keep a good band down. Forced to cancel their planned 2020 tour due to the pandemic, the special bond that ties the members of the Hollywood Vampires to the UK has brought them back at the earliest opportunity.

Making no secret of their love of classic British rock n roll, they pepper their blistering sets with songs from The Who, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Motörhead and more.

Alice Cooper: "Well, it’s already been three years since the Vampires have toured because of Covid. Also, Johnny has his movies, Joe’s in Aerosmith and I’m in Alice Cooper, so we have to look at that whole thing and see when we can all get a month or two off where we can go out and tour. And, we are going to be doing that, next summer coming up, 2023. I can't wait to get back with the guys, I really love being in that band. My band is great and wonderful, but playing with the Vampires is an entirely different situation. I don’t necessarily do any theatrics at all, I’m just the lead singer, in a band, and the band just happens to be one of the best bands around! It’ll be great to see Johnny and Joe and Buck and Chris and all the guys. We’ll be rocking these places, especially the UK, I can’t wait to get to the UK! The self-described “best bar band in the world” consists of core members and rock legends Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Aerosmith´s Joe Perry, together with guitarist Tommy Henriksen. Their tradition is to play a riotous tribute to the great lost heroes of music and their own original material, released on their studio album ‘Rise’. With stone cold classics by the likes of The Doors, Love, AC/DC and the rest, plus of course Alice and Aerosmith’s hits, the band was voted the “best performance” of 2018 at London’s Wembley Arena on their last UK journey.

The three legends first came together to record in 2015, bonding over a shared love of their favourite songs and a desire to celebrate their ‘dead, drunk friends’ by playing the music of the fallen heroes. Named after Alice’s 1970s drinking club that included the likes of John Lennon, Keith Moon and Mickey Dolenz, legendary performances ensued around the world.

The 16-track album ‘Rise’, produced by Tommy Henriksen and the Hollywood Vampires, is one of the purest, most unapologetic and enjoyable rock and roll albums of recent times, made by masters of the craft and true fans of the form. Unlike their 2015 debut record, the second album consists mainly of original material, written by the band. There are, however, in the spirit of the Vampires’ original mission, three covers of songs originally written and recorded by legendary rockers who died far too young. ‘Rise’ is released on earMUSIC.

San Francisco band The Tubes will also be supporting on all UK Tour dates (except Scarborough) from 7 July onwards.

Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Johnny Depp and Tommy Henriksen will bring the Hollywood Vampires to The UK next summer

American supergroup The Hollowood Vampires have announced a UK tour. 

The band – whose core members are singer Alice Cooper , plus guitarists Joe Perry, Johnny Depp and Tommy Henriksen – will kick the six-date run off at the Open Air Theatre in Scarborough on July 5, and wrap things up at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on July 12. The schedule also includes a show at the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena in London (full dates below).

Rock supergroup Hollywood Vampires have announced 2023 UK headline dates kicking off at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on July 5th.

American supergroup Hollywood Vampires are heading back to the UK next summer for a series of explosive headline shows kicking off with a must-see date at Scarborough Open Air Theatre .

The self-described “best bar band in the world” – consisting of core members and rock legends Alice Cooper , Johnny Depp , Aerosmith ’s Joe Perry and guitarist Tommy Henriksen – are also the first headliners to be revealed for Scarborough OAT’s eagerly-awaited 2023 summer season opening the run on July 5th 2023.

Ahead of Hollywood Vampires’ 2023 UK Tour, frontman Alice Cooper said: “Well it’s already been three years since the Vampires have toured. I can’t wait to get back with the guys, I really love being in that band. My band is great and wonderful, but playing with the Vampires is an entirely different situation.

Hollywood Vampires have announced a UK tour with Johnny Depp for summer 2023 – check out the full list of tour dates and ticket details below.

The rock supergroup – comprising Depp, Alice Cooper , Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen – will perform six UK dates next July in Scarborough, Swansea, Manchester, London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

The band were forced to cancel their planned 2020 tour due to the pandemic, but will return for a string of European dates in June 2023 , before continuing on to the UK throughout July.

Pre-sale for Glasgow, Manchester and London starts Wednesday, October 26 at 10am here , while general starts October 28 at 10am BST and tickets can be purchased here .

Earlier this year, Depp and and Jeff Beck  shared  a new cover of The Velvet Underground’s ‘Venus In Furs’.

In May, the actor made headlines when he was a surprise guest at Beck’s show in Sheffield, before he went on to  join Beck on stage at a handful of other gigs  despite awaiting the verdict in his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard at the time.

Today (October 24) it emerged that Depp and Beck are suing a professor and folklorist, Bruce Jackson , over his allegations the pair’s song ‘Sad Motherfuckin’ Parade’ plagiarises an old poem titled  Hobo Ben .

Hollywood Vampires announce summer 2023 UK dates

Hollywood Vampires – the supergroup that includes Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Aerosmith´s Joe Perry, together with guitarist Tommy Henriksen – will return to the UK to tour in July 2023.

The band was forced to cancel their 2020 dates due to the pandemic but they’re ready to get back over here and play next year.

Alice Cooper says: “Well, it’s already been three years since the Vampires have toured because of Covid. Also, Johnny has his movies, Joe’s in Aerosmith and I’m in Alice Cooper, so we have to look at that whole thing and see when we can all get a month or two off where we can go out and tour. And, we are going to be doing that, next summer coming up, 2023. I can’t wait to get back with the guys, I really love being in that band. My band is great and wonderful, but playing with the Vampires is an entirely different situation. I don’t necessarily do any theatrics at all, I’m just the lead singer, in a band, and the band just happens to be one of the best bands around! It’ll be great to see Johnny and Joe and Buck and Chris and all the guys. We’ll be rocking these places, especially the UK, I can’t wait to get to the UK!  Lock your doors, put garlic all around, because the Vampires are coming!”

Joe Perry comments, “Next Summer it will be finally time for the Hollywood Vampires to rise again! We can’t wait to play the songs from our latest album, Rise, for all our fans across the pond. The excitement builds as we countdown the days! See you all then…remember, leave the garlic at home!” Hollywood Vampires’ tradition is to play a riotous tribute to the great lost heroes of music and their own original material, released on their studio album ‘Rise’.

The three legends first came together to record in 2015, bonding over a shared love of their favourite songs and a desire to celebrate their ‘dead, drunk friends’ by playing the music of the fallen heroes. Named after Alice’s 1970s drinking club that included the likes of John Lennon, Keith Moon and Mickey Dolenz, legendary performances ensued around the world.

Hollywood Vampires will be joined on the tour by special guests Seether and San Francisco band The Tubes (who will play all dates except Scarborough).

The dates for the tour in 2023 are:

Wednesday July 5 – Scarborough, Open Air Theatre

Friday July 7 – Swansea, Swansea Arena

Saturday July 8 – Manchester, AO Arena

Sunday July 9 – London, The O2

Tuesday July 11 – Birmingham, Utilita Arena

The Hollywood Vampires Announce Rescheduled UK Tour Dates

Four Arena Shows

The Hollywood Vampires are supposed to embark on a tour in UK this year in support of their latest studio effort “Rise” – it’s slated to start on September but they have moved all dates to 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Special guests Killing Joke will join them on all four shows. Original tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled concerts.

The 2021 UK trek will kick off on August 5, 2021 at Utilita Arena in Birmingham and wrap up on August 9 at The O2 in London.

The supergroup consisting of Johnny Depp, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, and Alice Cooper posted on Twitter: “The health and safety of our fans is and always will be our number one concern. It is for this reason we have made the decision to reschedule our European Tour until 2021.”

Speaking about the tour, Cooper previously said: “This show has something for everyone. I like to joke that The Vampires are the world’s most expensive bar band, but what a lot of people don’t realise is that this is a real rock band, not just some novelty. I wouldn’t keep doing it if it weren’t such a great band.”

American supergroup Hollywood Vampires announce their UK return with a July 2023 tour . You just can’t keep a good band down.

Forced to cancel their planned 2020 tour due to the pandemic, the special bond that ties the members of the Hollywood Vampires to the UK has brought them back at the earliest opportunity. Making no secret of their love of classic British rock n roll, they pepper their blistering sets with songs from The Who, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Motörhead and more.

Alice Cooper:

The self-described “best bar band in the world” consists of core members and rock legends  Alice Cooper , Johnny Depp and Aerosmith´s Joe Perry, together with guitarist Tommy  Henriksen . Their tradition is to play a riotous tribute to the great lost heroes of music and their own original material, released on their studio album ‘Rise’ .

With stone cold classics by the likes of The Doors, Love, AC/DC and the rest, plus of course Alice and Aerosmith’s hits, the band was voted the “best performance” of 2018 at London’s Wembley Arena on their last UK journey.

There are, however, in the spirit of the Vampires’ original mission, three covers of songs originally written and recorded by legendary rockers who died far too young. ‘Rise’ is released on earMUSIC.
