Great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Gave us the run down on the swamp and daily life of the locals. We saw a few swamp puppies and some entertaining raccoons!

Our recent trip on the Honey Island Swamp Tour was absolutely so much fun! Captain Hunter, our guide, was fantastic. He knew everything there was to know about the swamp and made the whole experience so much fun, especially for the kids on our class trip. Captain Hunter was super interactive and really great at keeping everyone entertained. He told us cool stories and even got the kids involved by asking questions and making the tour really engaging. We saw so much wildlife! Alligators, raccoons, turtles, and even snakes! It was like being in our own little nature documentary. And it was perfect timing for our Louisiana unit in class. Captain Hunter shared interesting facts and stories that tied in perfectly with what we've been learning. Overall, I can't recommend the Honey Island Swamp Tour enough. Captain Hunter made it an unforgettable experience, and we all had a blast. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this tour is a must-do for an awesome adventure in Louisiana's wild side! Also, absolutely request Captain Hunter -- he made the tour!

This was a great tour at a great price. Our guide, Hunter, was extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and had a terrific sense of humor. We saw alligators up close, raccoons in the water, lots of turtles, and all kinds of birds. What an amazing ecosystem!

Our business has grown as demand for the tours has steadily increased. Use of small boats (both covered and uncovered) allow us deep access into the heart of our beautiful honey island cypress swamp. All boats are Coast Guard-inspected; and all guides are licensed, native, professional guides.

Honey Island Swamp Tours has provided unique, interpretative boat tours since 1982. Our personal wildlife tour appeals to the majority of the population and, in particular, to those people who enjoy getting back to nature. We continue to enjoy showing our guests from around the world our unique environment.

This tour is for the adventurous type looking to really submerse themself into the swampy landscape of Southeastern Louisiana. From start to finish, the tour itself lasts about 4 hours. The kayaking is not too strenuous, as the entire tour goes along with the flow of the Porters and Pearl River. Along the way, the tour will stop at beautiful sandbars for swimming, rope swings for swinging, and evening a picnic lunch on horseshoe beach. New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours offers a 100% refund for tour cancellation due to inclement weather e.g. weather considered hazardous to tour members safety. This includes: lighting storms, unsafe water conditions, wildfires, etc. Tours still operate in rain as long as the safety of clients is not jeopardized.

100% refund is issued if cancellation is greater than 48 hours before tour time.

50% refund is issued if cancellation is less than 48 hours before tour time  if rescheduling is not possible.

No refund is issued for no calls/no shows the morning of the tour
